- I review, breakdown and explain That 90s Show Netflix. I discuss the story in Season 1 focussed on Leia, Gwen, Jay, Nate, Nick, Ozzie, Red and Kitty along with other characters in the sequel to That 70s show. I react to the ending with Leia returning to Chicago after getting closer to Nate. I also give my theories and predictions for Season 2 and if there will be future cameos from Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

What did you think of That '90s Show? Do you think it compares to the original? Comment your thoughts below!
Totally disaster, unworthy of watch. All the teens is so dry, no funny at all. It totally unoriginal character.
It made me appreciate that 70’s show. I only watched it for the nostalgia
@@1030bri I just feel so disappointed. I will though it never happened. There's no sequel. That's 90 show is only for a dumbass who no character at all.
I enjoyed it
The show is good, but i feel like they took Kelso's personality and put a little bit of it in everyone's character. There needs to be only one dumb character. The old less is more, you know. They do have their own personalities, but they all act like Kelso at times.
I wasn't expecting much from this show as nothing can beat that 70's show, but I was surprised how much I actually liked the show.
Also It was great to see old cast returning.
Funniest character is Red but the show isn't complete without Hyde!
This show made me really miss and appreciate that 70’s show
I know what you mean - it definitely embodied some of that charm!
Yup ...they fucked it up hard with the wOKe bullshit
Literally
Same
The Nostalgia was so strong! Brought back so much memories, made me wanna binge watch it all over again.
I kept hoping Eric and Donna would announce that they were moving to town in the finale
i feel as though it limits series potential if they only have the show set during the summer :/
@@roxyirl so do I but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I totally didn't expect the show to be as good as it was.
@Burger Town here's hoping!
Topher has another sitcom. If it gets canceled maybe, he will. We saw Donna enough that we know Laura would be willing. I think Wilmer might be willing to be a semi regular. He did 2 episodes and he was as funny as ever.
@@peachygal4153 Whenever I see Wilmer's name, it makes me want to bang on a door and yell out "WILMER!" and then bang on the door again!
As a fan from that 70s show, it’ll just take awhile for me to get used to the new cast, they just need a good chemistry together
Totally agree they’re witty but it’s corny and a little shy and surface level chemistry
That's fair - I think a lot of it comes down to screen time as well. This season we got 10 eps where as in that 70's show we were being given around 20 eps a season so it does make a big difference when it comes to growing with the characters
That 70s show was said the same thing about their first entire season. Which came out in a total of several months, not one day lol.

Yeah but the jokes on That 70’s Show still landed. That 90’s Show felt like an edgy Disney Channel sitcom
Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed That 90s Show! What struck me was that it was not "preachy" or even a tiny bit "woke", which was very refreshing; it felt a little like real 90s TV shows! It was also fun to see beloved characters back on screen. But the younger cast surprised me the most; they didn't suck at all! I can't wait for the 2nd season; hopefully, Netflix won't cancel that as well...
Yes as a real kid of the 90s it was like that. So much better then today where the world is insane. I mean it was bad then but there was a sense of more normalcy in the world.
@@cliffchampion5501 In 1995 (the era in which the first season is set), I was 6 years old. My family didn't have money; we weren't "dirt poor" per se, but let's just say every dollar was accounted for. We didn't have cable TV, and if we were lucky, at the end of the school week, our dad would take us to the video store to rent 1 new release or 2 older movies (it was the same price). I was aware of our financial situation, and yet, it didn't keep me from having this sense of wonder about the world. Everywhere I looked, there was a possibility for amazement.
Today, almost everything is so... ugly, insane, and, quite frankly, stupid. Social media ruined everything; people confuse their random thoughts, rampant ignorance, and selfies for relevant content.
God, I miss the 90s and early 2000s so much it hurts.
I was born in 1996 and saw "that 70's show" when I was in the 9th grade, long story short the dramas of transferring to a new school and trying juggle my own issues along with the judgemental school environment lead me to rewatching the show as a confort so I was impressed that this spinoff was passable although I don't think it will work for more than just 2 seasons. and I'm hoping western media can make a comeback because new IPs that ignore woke culture is rising.
We common people must put our wallets where our mouth is, because corporate greed is what's causing most of the insanity in the west
"Or even a tiny bit woke" is just wrong sorry. The new cast is woke lol it made me roll my eyes a few times. Gwen squawking about "the patriarchy" and whole gay kid plot. Anyway, the OG cast was nice to see tho.
I did like Leia and Jay from the new cast, the others seemed forced, they made Nate the dumb jock TOO dumb, for christ sakes the kid is dumber than Kelso, Kelso's own kid is smarter than him lol Nikki was alright I guess but nothing much to her either.
This is how they wokeified the formula anyway, they made Ozzy the gay Fez, they made Gwen a black/Diversity female version of Hide, they made Nikki an Asian/Diversity version of Jackie but lamer, Leia the female version of Eric, and all the boy cast are just your typical feminazi propaganda boys stupid crap, well except for Ozzy because he's gay lol
Also they made Ozzy the only one out of the new gang that has the original sarcastic humor we all loved about the OG show, I wish more of the new gang had more of that humor style to them as well.
Honestly this show would do way better if it was focused on the OG cast dealing with being the parents now as the A plot and the kids as the B plot. The best scene in my opinion is when Eric dropped the foot in the ass line and Red was never prouder lmao If they made the whole show like that and without the wokeness it would be a homerun. All in all tho I'd give the show a C it wasn't bad but it wasn't as great as the original either but it was a nice revisit of the OG characters.
They could easily fix all of this with Season 2 have Eric and Donna move back to Point Place and make them Kelso and Jackie's neighbors(sets up Leia and Jay similar to Eric and Donna-paybacks a bitch lol) dead out the weird Nate Leia twist ending thing and switch the A Plot and B Plot around with the OG's as A Plot and the new gang as the B Plot, that way B Plot sets up the drama for A Plot and the things I mentioned above with the new gang will be more tolerable since they'll have less screen time and OG's will be more of the focus anyway. Just my 2 cents.
@@juggernautnation369 I respect your opinion, but I disagree. To be "woke", a cast or a show requires two main things (among others): victim mentality and one-dimensional characters. It's not about diversity or sexual orientation.
1) None of the characters is presented as a victim; Ozzie is "cliché" for sure, but he's fierce about the fact that he is gay in a "backwater town" like Point Place. He's in charge of his destiny and found a group of friends who accept him as he is.
2) None of the characters is one-dimensional. For example, Gwen is a bi-racial "feminist" raised by a single mom and neglected by her dad, but that's not all; she's also a good friend who's scared of losing her new best friend at the end the summer. She's also a sister, a music lover, and enjoys getting into trouble with her friends. We also learn that she doesn't have many friends at school, etc. Even Nate, the dumb jock, is surprisingly insightful sometimes. He's kind, generous, and sensitive.
For those 2 reasons, I don't consider That 90s Show as even remotely woke.
I really wanted Eric to find out his daughter is dating Jay Kelso and then get Michael , Jackie , Donna and Eric together so kelso can yell “Burn” to Eric when he finds out Leia is with his son 😂
That would have been much better!
If Leia was born in july 1980 that means she was conceived during late 1979 in which the last season of that 70’s show was set in, wouldn’t that make her Randy’s daughter? since Eric and Donna reconciled on December 31st 1979🤔
Shhhhhhh
Or literaly the last episode of show u not on to nun with that theroy😂💀
@@klydejohnson7520 that means she was like 2 months premature
If her birthday was late august, it would still be a stretch, but her official birthday is July 21st, so she either was a month premature, adopted, or Randy’s daughter. Don’t know why they had to make her birthday in the summer and make the timeline so messy
Nah mate, you’re overthinking it.
Season 2 would need at LEAST double the episodes. I felt like I was starting to vibe with it, and it ended. So they need to let us know the new cast!
Totally agree! Sitcoms need larger episode numbers
I really liked it because it felt like a real sequel to that 70s show. It’s fun. That’s what it’s supposed to be.
True, it did very much feel like a sequel
@@BrainPilot So, if I was born in 1974, and the 90s show is 20 years from then and I would be father age, so now that it's 2023, am I supposed to be grandpa age now? I have no kids!
So far, I love Leia. Beautiful as Donna and dorky as Eric 😭
She just copying Eric style the way she talk as a dumbass, kinky and witty. But she acts so bad, unoriginal character. Its so cringe, bad actresses.
@@AlexSandro-mm4wb I mean, she was the best out all the whole cast, just my opinion. Don't get me started on Ozzy tho...🥶
The Asian & Gay element felt forced
How old are you saying this my guy?
I really enjoyed this season until the plot twist at the end of the finale.
Leia and Nate have zero chemistry whatsoever, and throwing that in there at the last minute felt so rushed, out of nowhere and unnecessary. Them getting together would totally ruin their friend group.
Leia and Jay are cute, had good chemistry and actually had an arc where we saw them bond with each other. If they go ahead with Leia and Nate, that would be a horrible choice.
I still mostly enjoyed the show, but that ending really left a bad taste in my mouth.
My thoughts exactly
The entire "kissing" episode left a bad taste in my mouth. She goes to the mall to get guys to kiss her, they're not interested. Then she decides to go after Jay, Jay isn't about it either and doesn't want to just kiss randomly. You'd think the show was trying to say "Hey. Don't force something to happen that isn't there." Then at the end, she decides to go back after the guy who wasn't interested in her and kisses him against his will for her first kiss and the audience claps? It made no sense. Worst written episode by far.
Then the next episode, neither character is clear how the other feels? Are you kidding me? She tried to kiss him. Pretty clear sign. Then he's interested in her? Then she's not into him? All in one episode. The Donna Eric romance was excellently paced and charming to watch.
I agree, but they're idiot 15 year olds that are prone to fucking up.
I wholeheartedly agree!!!!! That was such a bizarre moment. It felt forced. I hope they don’t move forward with it either. I thought Leia and Jay are adorable together. I really love their relationship, and such perfect casting too.
They only did that to keep us waiting for a S2; a cliffhanger... a pretty bad one. Totally agree with you.
If the season had been 20 episodes instead of 10 i would've loved it so much more than inalready do 💜
It felt like that 70's show in terms of the humor and also felt like the 90's and the cameos were perfection
Thanks for your recap. I liked this show, it was cute watching the new friends all hang together, it felt reminiscent of an actual 90's sitcom, so kept the tone and spirit of the original. Red and Kitty were sublime, and out of the new teen cast, Leia shone the most, and I liked her friendship with Gwen. Hopefully they'll renew it for a few more seasons, so it can flesh out more of the characters.
I totally agree!
Agreed. It will all depend on the ratings which should skyrocket today. If they do continue it, I think we’ll see more of the OG cast in season 2 and beyond because I expect Eric and Donna to decide to move back to Point Place.
@Timothy S Netflix relies on how many times their tv shows are streamed, but they have a tendency to cancel some of their most popular streaming tv shows so let's hope this gets a second season next year...
@@Roger709Bautista14 I’m aware of how things work, but Fuller House and Saved by the Bell got multiple seasons so it’s not always the case.
@@Roger709Bautista14 season 2 incoming already. That didn’t take long.
I think the whole story is meant to be Leia exploring who she is, and if they continue, none of it will be permanent, and a lot of it will just be her experimenting with who she is.
Plus, it makes sense for the 90s. It was the start of that generational shift where kids started to want to express themselves more.
Fair point!
That 70's show was my absolute favorite show from when I was a kid and still is now. Don't know how many times a rewatched the series. At first I thought that this was going to completely suck but after watching the pilot episode and seeing former cast members do their cameo's from time to time, I can say that I'm hooked and can't wait to see what happens next..
That’s fair! I think with more episodes it could definitely improve!
@@BrainPilot I agree man, just hoping that the show will only get better. More power to your channel 💯
@@JayKaizen111 There has to be more reference to the 70s show (aka the Candyland stash!) If you remember, they never found it after Kitty moved the games to the attic!
You can count me out of watching a season 2 if they put Leia and Nate together. No chemistry and way too random. The writers probably think it's a clever re-do of Kelso/Jackie/Hyde but NOPE. It's just a dumb excuse for a love triangle that would wreck friendships. Why can't they just stick to Jay and Leia being a thing? It would be a crappy thing for Nate to steal his best friend's girl.
I agree. I like all of the characters but putting Leia and Nate together came out of nowhere
Yeah that was so bizarre!!! I hope the writers recognize this because Leia and Jay are so cute together and they have much more chemistry.
I feel like the target audience is me, and those around my age. I was 15 years old in 1995, so I watched That 70s Show at 17/18 years old when it started, and appreciated it, but also, I am the age that I knew a kid like each and every one of the kids in the new show, and they all are real representations just accentuated for the laughs.
This show was clearly made for the fans of That 70’s show and that’s exactly what it is. I thought this show was great! Definitely reminded me a lot of That’s 70’s show! I thought it was great and can’t wait for the next season
I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I’m down for a second season.
That's totally fair - I think if they give more episodes then the show will have more time to show the different sides to the characters and allow us to connect to them more
Same, I was expecting to hate it, and I ended up liking it
I really like this show and hoping for a 2nd season. The kids aren’t bad actors. They just need to get used to their characters. People are being too hard on them. These things take time
it's about the nostalgia, the house, Red and Kitty... The first season is more for the "get to know you" part combined with the introduction of the familiar gang. Season two is going to be better, the characters are going to get along better and we are going to enjoy a great show! I loved it!
It was cute. It was great seeing all the old cast members. Red and Kitty are iconic!! I enjoyed the young man who plays Kelso's son. I also really like Ozzie. The stories were nice. I would watch if they release more episodes.
I honestly didn't mind it, by far my favourite characters have to be jay, Leia and the OG cast. there were instances where I was cringing and I definitely feel like they should improve the writing and some of the acting. I hope they don't rely too much on the og cast and I wish it felt more like a group of friends hanging out in the 90s there just wasn't enough chemistry. and I wish that the episode or at least the seasons a longer.
I think they have a second season
It was fun. A simple sitcom like the 90s. Everything doesn't have to be super deep and elaborate. Just simple fun.
I never cared for the original when it was online, but really enjoyed bingeing it in more recent years - yet still it wasn't always great, sometimes it was just okay.
I really feel like this new show has a great handle on the balance between nostalgia, over-the-top 90's comedy, and modern storytelling. I am surprised to have liked it so much, it really felt like a more condensed version of 70's, and really won me over.
I was so into it I was kinda bummed out there wasn't more seasons yet
Yea the fact there was only ten episodes was a real shame!
Only bad thing was that red and kitty should have already known kelso son of they live in the same town and it's as small as they say
Please keep opened mind cause the old season was over 20 episodes, more chance of character development. I liked it cause from 10 episodes did well
I liked that we had a gay kid in this show. They touched on something that had been a part of the 90s but was still considered a stigma and not easily accepted. The episode where Ozzie was struggling with coming out to others was and still is very real
I loved his storyline about coming out to Kitty, it was charming.
@@marcelinapanyvina7323 he chose the right person to want to come out to because kitty always had a level of open mindedness. Had he come out to red, he would’ve been chased out of the house with a “Foot in your a**” threat
They did record in front of a live audience. I think it was a soft relaunch from That 70s Show. Not all the humor works, but it was nostalgic to see Kitty and Red, Donna and Eric, Michael and Jackie, and Fez, including Leo and Fenton. I’m ok with the new cast. Leia and Jay are also two different from one another kinda like Danny and Sandy in Grease. Who knows if there will be a second season. I do hope so to see it develop more into it’s own. I don’t think Kitty and Red are cameos, but supporting cast, the parental figures.
The one thing that held me back was the lack of episodes. I know it’s the first season, but things just seemed to move too fast.
If it gets picked up for more seasons, it has to be more than 10 episodes per season or if they keep the 10 episode format, then Eric and Donna should move up to Point Place. This would allow for more flexibility story writing wise.
It was actually surprisingly good
I think the characters are not "90s" enough... a big part of that 70's show was getting the vibe of the era. Wish the characters represented the era better. Skaters? punk rockers? grunge? hip hop? long haired dudes? etc etc etc they should be a little bit cooler perhaps?(some of them)
I think you’ll see a lot more of that when/if there’s a season 2. Probably when Leia somehow goes to the same high school that they all go to in Point Place
@@RatatRatR Well I like mohawks and mullets also, and the 80s had tons of cool things to use for the series, it could have worked, but if the writing sucks its gonna suck. But that 70s show did both things great! Also I think for a 90s show, early 90s would be more colorful era that mid 90s.
@**Spirit** Yes, your're right!!! but at least in my perception early 90's was way more colorful and cooler than mid 90's. You can really define the era better in the pop culture imaginarium.
Been watching "That 70's Show" almost EVERY SINGLE DAY since 1999...and will continue watching it (not this cringe 😬). It doesn't have the vibe that "That 70's show" had? But it was cool to see the members of the old gang! Eric and Fez look great. Donna, Kelso and Jackie not so much. Kitty almost hadn't changed 😳😍
I felt that 90s show was sooooooo cringe and not funny at all
I tend to agree with you, kind of feels like they’re trying to catch the same lightning in a bottle that made 70’s show so great, which in its turn makes this feel pale in comparison.
@Walliin I couldn't agree more and they tried toooo hard to make each characters relatable. one gay one black one foreigner I mean it tried too hard. it feels like the Wish version of the original. nothing will ever beat that. the original circles ans jokes were hilarious and didn't feel forced.
That 90's Show is actually good and with Red and Kitty returned makes it more better!
Yeah Red and Kitty definitely made the show better!
I have to say the kids felt like they time traveled from 2023 to the 90s, the kids themselves does not feel like they came from the 90's at all!
I'll admit before watching I thought it was going to be terrible, but after watching I need Season 2 now.
I'd like a season 2 too!
My most favorite part of the show was the upstairs circle! "Enjoying yourselves, kids? You're upstairs people now!" lol
I liked it. My only issue is the ages of Leia & Jay. Leia could be a premature birth which easily explains her age. The problem for jay is for him to be as old as he is means Jackie was pregnant with jay before the series finale of that 70s show where she got with fez
Good spot!
ugh i’m so conflicted, I don’t think Leila and Nate would be a good pair, but i want more screentime of him because he’s my type, pure selfish reasons tbh.
I loved this show, but we need an OG reunion in an episode during season 2
I agree!
There’s barely any chemistry between the actors from what I’ve noticed.
I get what you mean - I feel Red and Kitty definitely do though
@@BrainPilot oh those two will have a great chemistry. Probably coz the new gang are new actors… maybe.. Just assuming
Did you actually watch the show?
@@soulserenade.kcn1992 nooooo omg I so did not watch the show when jay kelso broke up with Leia tattoine Forman in episode 10. But I guess her middle name is Anne but Eric didn’t agree with Donna on that. So you’re right I didn’t watch the show.
As someone from the 80s and 90s it didn't do a good job depicting the 90s era
Look kinda like 2000s era instead of 90s.
I was 15 back in 1995. I can feel the 90s vibe on this show. They were just trying to mix the 70s and 90s. Im sure it will be sure 90s on Season 2🙂
The original cast was definitely the best part of the pilot but then every episode I thought was better than the last so I really hope they get another couple seasons because I feel like this show can be really great
Coming from a teenager, the new cast is just really cringe and unfunny. Maybe the show is for older people but I don’t see it being popular with gen Z. It really feels like a 2010 Disney show.
gen z loves 2010s disney shows
@@tredaman4382 no we used to. We’re all teenagers/ young adults now and it’s cringe.

Yeah they were great!
It’s very similar to a Disney Channel show. Watching this before I go into season 2. I hope the chemistry gets better and the writers improve the material
i loved that 90s and i hope we get more seasons!!!!
Not watching this nor reading the comments cuz i dont want spoilers, but how in the world have some people finished the season already it literally just came out hours ago😳
10 episodes is 5 hours...It's like watching two movies in a row.
The little time the old cast had 100% carried lmfaooo Eric is still amazing. Donna 100%. Even Gwen’s mom was cool but man those kids…..idk who writes these scripts but they have to stop with trying too hard to be funny. It’s like watching another crappy attempt from nickelodeon.
Eric made me laugh so much. Something about him being in the kitchen, he’s on fire with his comedy.
I enjoyed the season. It was fun and had the same feeling as the original. I hope there is more..
Episode 2 is such a factually inaccurate representation of what being gay in the 90’s would have been like. We still used slurs and one who was gay would have overcompensated and never or only awkwardly admitted to their preference. That’s the 90’s especially early 90’s as they are portraying.
Also we would have never called kissing hooking up.
Best part of the show is the original cast from the 70s. The new cast just feels forced and don't have that kind of chemistry with each other like the originals. Honestly, I only hope it has success for Kitty and Red.
To be fair, it’s damn hard to compare 1 season of this show to 7 seasons of the original
@@tytompkins3992 6 really, most of season 7 was horrible.
There's a huge plot hole of you think about it...
Leah turns 15 during the season which means she was born in 1980 giving that the season takes place in 1995. And mid to late summer is end on July into August.... so Donna would have ether been pregnant Nov or Dec and Eric was in Africa until New years eve 1979 going into 1980 so she Leah was born a month or more premature or she's not Eric's
It's not a plothole as much as a continuation of a confusing timeline from the original show.
Red and Kitty -> great
Nate and Jay -> were good too
Leia -> a bit ackward at times
Gwen -> this character needs rewriting imo, would believe it more if Leia and Nikki became best friends.
Nikki -> needs more things to do
Ozzie -> great
Sherri -> do they really want me to believe that she is raising two kids by herself? My least favorite character.
That's a fair review!
what happened to kelsos daughter
Loved it. Reminded me of watching the OG back when it aired on FOX.
That’s good then!
I like the show but all I wanted was to do was rewatch that 70’s show. I was a teen when that show was out and I absolutely loved it. The show was perfect and only went downhill in the last season. The new cast of that 90s show was ok; maybe there was a few questionable picks for the cast. I didn’t really find one particular story line good nor the actor picked for the role. Other than that it had a few jokes that made laugh if it gets another season I’ll watch it but hopefully it’s more than 10 episodes and can build more to wrangle That 70s show fans in.
I think the characters and stories progressed too quickly. It’s almost like they aren’t expecting to get a second season so they tried to cram everything into 10 episodes.
I wish we could have seen Eric’s reaction when he found out Leia was into the son of his best friend Kelso
I wouldn’t mind niki leaving she’s my least favorite character. I like the rest of them even Ozzie. If leia gets with Nate then jay would probably (hopefully ) stay friends with Nate like his jays dad (Michael) stayed friends with Hyde when he dates Jackie. I hate niki she’s kinda bitchy and likes complain yet isn’t a good friend like Gwen. I believe Ozzie is secretly a much nicer guy then he lets off.
I'm not really a fan of ozzie because the lines they gave that character is just never really lands for the most part.
Would it have killed them to get an actress who looks like she could be related to the foremans?
The only time i laughed is when the old characters popped up. The kids were not funny at all. All of the kids roles were very cookie cutter like. What made That 70s show so great was each character had their own personality and every character just gelled together seamlessly.
Maybe it will come a bit more with time
Was really hoping to like this since I LOVED the 90s. My main question….Why oh why do they ALWAYS cast actors anymore that are NOT funny or do not have natural comedic timing?🤦♀️🤦🤦♂️ Not one of those kids were a good casting choice. Kitty & Red will have to carry the show.
We need Laurie Forman in Season 2, Probably Christina Moore will return to that 90s show
Interesting suggestions!
@Burger Town On That 70s Show the character Laurie was played by two actresses Lisa Robin Kelly(died 2013) and Christina Moore, we wish Christina Moore will return in Season 2 of That 90s Show
The timeline it’s screwed up again Leia birthday is in the summer of 1995 that means she was born in summer of 1980 so that means Donna was already pregnant before Eric came back from Africa which means Leia is Randy’s daughter 😮 unless she’s a premature birth
@**Spirit** July 15
All the OG cast crushed it. Especially Fez. But for the new kids it was clear they had diversity and inclusiveness in mind but not CHEMISTRY!!!
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh……..it’s a damn shame they rather inclusivity over a well and proper script.
I completed disagree though I do they think they were struggling to find their dynamic the first few episodes, like any normal sitcom cast would. You need time to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of each cast member, and that’s not going to be apparent right away. Especially in a 10 episode, 20 minute sitcom lmao I like to think they were finding their place by the end. Also bitching about inclusivity sounds like your personal politics playing a factor into your enjoyment of the show, get over it
@@vomo8322 not really, if we are going to that time frame, it would have been incredibly rare to have someone so openly gay in their friend group at that young of an age. Especially in Wisconsin. It just wouldn’t happen, especially not around someone they just met, and it wouldn’t just be normal reactions for someone to discover this. Currently, Wisconsin is about 82% white, so back then it would have been even less diverse. So I think the point is being overly diverse to the point that it takes away from the reality of the time, doesn’t make any sense. It’s not politics, it’s just being real.
@@tlf5046 So your biggest problem with That 90’s Show, a comedic sitcom, is that the diverse cast isn’t realistic enough? Do the historical inaccuracies take you out of the time period? Buddy, you do realize Point Place Wisconsin isn’t a real place? That your enjoyment of the show shouldn’t be tied to the historical accuracy of racial demographics in a fictionalized Wisconsin? Can you at least admit your take on this is 100% influenced by your personal politics, since I doubt you’ve even bothered to watch the series.
I absolutely loved this season
It was enjoyable to watch for sure!
People are being too harsh...give these kids a chance..i really want to see a second season
I’m not too worried ab this show I didn’t think that 70s show was amazing within the first 10 episode either it takes more time for them to develop better chemistry and figure out their characters so hopefully it can get better which I think it will I liked it more and more as it went on just wish it had more than 10 episodes per season as to 20 like that 70s show had
This show had no business being as funny as it was. Loved it
The first joke that really made me lose it… “why does your mouth look like a monkey’s ass?” Gwen to Nate
I was very disappointed that my favorite character Hyde was not even mentioned!🤔
I can see Eric and Donna moving back to Pointe Place so Liea can have a life with her new friends.
I’d be intrigued if they did that!
@@BrainPilot what gets me is it's 1995 and they are celebrating Leia's 15th birthday and the final episode of the 70s show ended at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve going into 1980. So Donna must've become pregnant by Eric sometime in late 1979 before he took off to Africa and then Donna gave birth to Liea in the summer of 1980,that's where I'm confused.
@@BrainPilot at least in seasons to come we know that the new gang will get to see The Star Wars trilogy Special Edition at the theater and of course Eric and Kelso will probably want to accompany them and Red will forbid it by threatening to put his foot in their asses along with the KISS reunion tour,The Sex Pistols reunion tour,The Ramones final tour and the first Ozzfest where Ozzy Osbourne takes the stage with the original Black Sabbath and Eric telling them about those bands and of course the first of The Star Wars prequel trilogy episode 1 The Phantom Menace and the KISS movie since Phantom of the park starring KISS and a plethora of iconic stars of the 90s as themselves or other people making cameos. I can see Eddie Vedder as Leo's long lost son or somebody as a gas station attendant as he was before Pearl Jam made it big, maybe Kris Novoselic as a politician. To me the potential for this new show is limitless.
That 90s show isn't as good as that 70s show between season 1-6 but its definitely superior to season 7 and especially season 8. I'm excited for season 2. The show did get better as the season went by
What I saw at the end was the love triangle with Eric, Donna, and High. Where Nate Is High. I'm okay with the show, but I wouldn't mind seeing a 2nd season.
There wasn't a character named High
@@RatatRatR Hyde*
Yeah. It's a funny mistake actually.
I think the show should have at least acknowledged that Hyde existed.
@RatatRatR I honestly thought Gwen and Nate were his kids, but that's not it. If a 2nd season is confirmed, I'd like to see his kid and maybe Laurie's kid too, haha.
Gwen is actually pretty Hyde-like. Nate usually seemed to me like he was playing some slightly different version of Kelso, which was not needed because the other guy is literally Kelso Junior already.
This is the kind of show I look for. There needs to be more like this. More modern shows are just annoying
Yeah this show had a nice charm - I think with more episodes it will definitely improve!
How do they explain Hyde missing for the show
Apparently they did not explain it.
They never really talk about him. All nothing said about Betsy
@@spearshake4771 A damn shame. Betsy apparently went through the same black hole that Donna's two sisters went.
@@tarik6990and Laurie
@@Wargatron Well for Laurie it was different, we know she moved to Canada but we don't know much else after that.
I appreciated that they fit in with their casting quota without bitchslapping the audience with wokeness.
i Enjoyed it was Great Maybe The Second Season Will Be Better Than The First Season like Improve
1:51 Does anyone remember those? :)
Yeah I remember taking the film to Kmart and having to get the pics a day later.
@@brucewayne9639 Exactly, those were the days.
When is Randy Pearson coming back ???
We never speak of that character.
@@billagond9209 Randy wasn't bad...but god everything around him was. One of those characters that instead of finding a way to make him look good they make everyone look worse so he shines brighter. Season 7 and 8 are so bad
Why the hell would he coming back hahah
Its was so fun to watch
They stated that they have a live audience though.
Ozzie is my only real complaint. I’m gay myself, but his coming out feels out of place. It’s not really fitting for the time, nor are the reactions entirely realistic. It doesn’t add anything or comment on the gay experience, and would have been better left out. Besides, it makes his character extremely one dimensional when he is already very hard to like in the first place.
again, not an attempt at gay hate at all. it just feels out of place and too Disney-like.
Forcing things for the sake of wokeness. Nothing wrong with having a Gay character but yeah, if it doesn't add anything and is just done for political correctness it kinda makes ya eyes roll a bit.
He's just a walking punchline who is always right, never rattled, and never has any kind of tenderness or emotion. He just know everything, understands every situation, and never suffers any consequences.
Nate was the most developed teen by far. The rest of them had weird rushed stories.
I get what you mean - Gwen definitely got better as the season went on. Although the quick change mood of being rude to Leia caught me off guard
I thought Nate was bland.
Nate was the most developed teen??? Lmao how? Only Leia, Jay, and Gwen were enjoyable and funny. Their characters had an actual storyline.
really good
Binged the whole season. Was a great character-based show. Not much about the 90s in there, though.
I know what you mean, feels more 90's in the way that the show is structured and delivered
To be fair the original is pretty timeless, outside season one if you told me the show took place in the 90's most episodes I'd be able to buy it.
I liked it. And I honestly thought that Leia and Gwen would become a thing.
The new cast does not have sufficient acting talent.
I think it will come with time!

I think the reason why the acting was questionable is because the original actors were a little rusty and the new actors were trying to find their footing.
More episodes will definitely solve that!
This show wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as good as that 70s show. I hope season 2 steps it up.
I feel like it will for sure!
Grew up on original. Still watch reruns. Red and kitty dead on and funny. New cast is ok. Leia is a great character. The gay Asian kid, not funny. Not because he’s Asian or gay. He’s not funny and feels alittle bit forced. Even seeing the trailer, knew he would be gay. Wish the original cast was in the show a lot more. But it’s ok. It’s a good feeling that Eric and Donna made a life together. I hope their will be a second season.
Same here!
Did I just spot Fenton the first 10sec?
Yes
@@Kaze.No.Okami. will watch later
yup!
Can someone please just upload the 90's show edited to only the 70's show cast episodes? Thank you.
it not good but its not bad either the cast dont have any chemistry compared to hat 70s show the episodes a pretty meh season 1 of that 70s show always had somthing new ths diddnt offer much the best parts is when you see the old charecters for abit red and kitty make this show fun at least the new cast isnt bad but you just cant feel the conection with them i give props to gwen and nate they did well but this hsow is a 1 tme watch for me unlike that 70s show witch i could watch all 8 seasons 100 times over
I still Dont have a cell
I really like it
That's fair - the show definitely has it's charm!
It was a good show netflix has to do better then 10 ep a season
Yeah I think 15 episodes would have been good for the first season
