  • The gongura greens are cherished in Andhra cuisine more than any of its counterparts and is used to prepare delectable pappu, pachadi and other dishes.

    Ingredients:
    onions 1.2 Cup
    garlic 6 Numbers
    peanuts 20 Grams
    red chilli dry 3 Numbers
    cumin seeds 1 Teaspoons
    Mustard seed 1 Teaspoons
    oil Tablespoons
    gongura leaves 2 Cup
    Toor dal 1 Cup
    salt as needed
    curry leaves 1 Springs
    Directions:
    Wash gongura and keep it a side.
    Take a pan add oil,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,red chilli dry,peanuts mix well, add garlic crushed,onions,turmuric,curry leaves,green chilli,salt mix and now add gongura leaves mix will cook till oil oozes out.
    Now add boiled dal and mix well if required add some salt

    I am from north india....but my husband has so many telgu friends...He keeps on asking me to make gongura dal, one day i tried watching your this video and it came out so yummy I can't tell you....now gongura dal is always in my menu list......thank you.

    I prep this along with the gongura flowers... was little guii and sour, but it was good...the flower made the whole dal red....

    sorrel grows all over the place i the UK I just wonder if your sorrel is as sour as ours or if cooking reduces the sourness THANKS You are a very great and creative cook

    I am new to the cooking... and the way u show truly encourage us to do.. and importantly it is very very easy to do... thanks so much for making simplier, easier, tastier and finally healthy..... i will do this receipe now and make my husband proud of mee :P
