So this game is actually...good? I had fun streaming it over to my twitch, come give a follow if you want to hang out! www.twitch.tv/jarek4gamingdragon
Oh yea,I am getting massive Serious Sam vibes with a sprinkle of Painkiller here and there. Those Teleporting Enemies and Massive Hordes of Big Monsters chasing after you is a giveaway. Honestly we've had enough Doom Clones and 2D boomer shooters and I think there's just not enough Serious Sam/Painkiller clones and we need a lot of them.
The way the blood splatters onto walls with nearly every direct hit onto an enemy is something I genuinely wish was more common in shooter games primarily, especially ones that are M rated already. I don't think (just tone it down a bit depending on the game) it would look out of place in a game like Far Cry 3 to have gore and dismemberment. You just need to tweak it to work within the art direction of the game in question. I just always found it super bonkers that a lot of games where there are brutal takedowns and even nudity can't have blood and gore as proper feedback to the combat. Heck, I wish DOOM (2016) and Eternal didn't need mods to get the bodies and stains to stay longer. And, before anyone tells me otherwise, please make sure to read the whole comment. I did make it clear that the amount of blood and gore should still be within the context of the game. And, yes, I stand by my statement that something like Far Cry 3 would actually benefit from having blood and gore effects that would improve the feedback, which would honestly make the tone of the game even more consistent and in line with what it's going for. Always felt cartoony and weird seeing enemies just flop dead after getting hit point blank with a shotgun to the chest or face or both. And then they'll start glowing cuz you can loot them. Heck! A game like the original Manhunt still has headshot gore effects that's rarely done in a lot of games these days. Probably the closest we have to that is The Last of Us - Part I and II with how the brain bits and blood splat and stick onto the wall before sliding off of it.
@@matteodelapaz1698, it did. But there's a fundamental difference between scripted cutscenes and combat feedback. If anything, all the lack of blood and gore during gameplay just makes it even weird seeing the brutality in cutscenes. It's like oil and water. Doesn't mix at all.
I heard about this game after reading a tweet from Civvie, who downloaded the demo. That’s the second time an FPS RUclipsr led me to a hidden gem, the first being Gmanlives with Nightmare of Decay.
I don't want to too critical, it's a small indie game being developed by one dev in a country that's currently being invaded after all, but if they could just make the quality of the level design come close to matching the quality of the gameplay and music, maybe even add in a real basic, tongue in cheek story, then I could see this actually being a pretty successful little indie shooter. Right now the levels have the vibe of a bunch of test maps, or very early prototypes. I hope the dev keeps at it though tbh, if this is their first game, they'll have this whole game dev thing in the bag in no time. Also lmaooo, I really wasn't expecting to see my dumbass comment in the video, made my day tbh.
I believe the GTA series ever since its inception had armor that protected you in the way you described….. though the majority of those games were that third person rather than first. And I don’t count GTA V a candidate because that game is meant to be played third person despite having a first person view on the PS5,PS4,Xbox Series X,and Xbox One.
If you could quick weapon switch like in Doom, I feel it would add a whole new layer to this game. Also imagine CS:GO surfing while fighting hordes of enemies? This game has the blueprint down. Add rocket jumping and maybe elemental ammo types, this game could severely be built upon.
We need more Painkiller/Serious Sam boomer shooters. However, the next FPS type I'd like to see is something like like Time Splitters games. Dumb and fun while being witty and atmospheric
I added this to my wishlist after picking up Ruslicstan Invades during the recent Steam FPS sale and being surprised by how fun it was for such a small, under-the-radar project. Looking forward to when this unlocks in a couple of hours!
3:40 HOLY SHIT this actually makes sense, I always though I was just bad at shooters like Shadow Warrior, Warhammer Boltor or Doom because I can't find them In that moment when you gun down hundrets of monsters, the metal kicks in and you get pumped you just rush to next room during the heat of moment and forget
What's the track playing during the intro part of the video? I know I've heard it somewhere but I can't remember what game it was. The track during the first 30 seconds.
it’s pretty much serious sam. that’s pretty good! serious sam is hard. i have the collection, very fun but some levels are a pain in the ass. haven’t gotten the newest one yet
Motion Blur is the single worst post processing "feature". It is NOT realistic and it does NOT improve the experience in ANY meaningful way. In my opinion obviously.
I feel like this game should be studied to help developers understand how to make smart design choices. Loved this video and want to analyze the game myself now.

When CS 1.6 zombie modders make a game
Killing floor moment
Literally has cs surfing in it lol
Those textures are just dust and Aztec lol
ngl, Since Cruelty Squad, I began to really love games that look like ass, but have really good gameplay.
To wishlist it goes.

As someone from Croatia. I agree
This looks like if a 90's doom slaughter wad mapper decided to make a standalone game on Unreal.
Who would win? 5 Bloodkills, 3 Turbo Overkills, or 1 UltraKill?
Monster kill?
killionaire?
Killpocalypse?
Fps games like the word kill lol.

I mean Far Cry 3 had scripted brutal moments

I wish we had pickups that protected us from farts in real life.
Uh...what'd you mean by that@@Uncle_Roadkill?
This game would be fantastic with an artistic touch to it and a bit of level design. Great proof of concept though!

Love the idea of kiting the enemies back through the level hazards. Suddenly becomes tower defence.
What was deliverable number 3 on the Vegas email, it goes 1,2,4?
This is the Epic Dumpster Bear of Boom Shoots.
Really like how the guns sound and look, hope the guy keeps developing stuff
This looks like one of those fake games in a tv show.
Гра вогонь 🔥🔥🔥
Для тих хто любить заруби як Сем чи навіть навіть краще. Треба ще трішки поміркувати щоб пройти.❤❤❤
We need more Painkiller/Serious Sam boomer shooters. However, the next FPS type I'd like to see is something like like Time Splitters games. Dumb and fun while being witty and atmospheric
Played the demo of this few months back I liked it very much.
Glad it turned out great.

I really loved this game it made me think of the MPlayer-hl1 mod days... dude had all kinds of jump and sliding secrets.
That game reminds me a of that free FPS *Cube* (Wouter van Oortmerssen)

If only enemy bodies did not dissapear there is no aftermath just like doom 4 so sad
6:56 it could be a gas mask filter ala Metro series. Idk why they would use "armour" in that context but I'm expecting this game to be jamnk
Serious Sam classic vibes
0:13 Manmilk?
Funny enough that main menu looks like a basic developer main menu, but it sure looks better than call of duty if you know what I mean
Even tho as you said looks weird, sounds interesting, gotta give it a go
Btw good use of Dread Templar music
it’s pretty much serious sam. that’s pretty good! serious sam is hard. i have the collection, very fun but some levels are a pain in the ass. haven’t gotten the newest one yet
So you've got a health, armor and gas oxygen bar? Nice!
Sounds like the dev is a fan of the more recent Exodus albums! Thrash metal!!!
i really like your videos man. wish youtube would of showed me this 3 days ago!
Well now i just want an insane email compilation vid...
This is like, a "serious-like," it feels to me so much like serious sam (that is a good thing)
Cool guy who made this.
Imagine if he expanded this and polished it.
I really disliked the demo, but maybe I should check it out again.
I wish you make a Retro video about Unreal games.
I think Bloody Hell is a more fitting title for this game.
>kamikaze enemies
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH INTENSIFIES
So its basically Alien Shooter 3D
Very nice
that music sounds like quake 2's
50% Boom.
50% Shoot.
100% Bloodkill.
Motion Blur is the single worst post processing "feature". It is NOT realistic and it does NOT improve the experience in ANY meaningful way. In my opinion obviously.
🤞
I wish I could turn it off. It keeps happening every time I turn my head. 😵💫
I like it. Makes games more cinematic. Although some games really overdue it.
I cant imagine why THE GAMING DRAGON would review a furry game. Cant fathom it. Nope. No idea why someone would come up with that idea
This isn't a furry game
I 100% heard "brewery simulator" as "furry simulator"
Damn wtf are those emails?
The game seems pretty fun though the visuals aren't great.
Please consider reviewing: Bears in Space, Blood West and illWill.
0:33 - I mean, I play the hell out of FPS games, but I also like Stardew Valley. If the game's good, the game's good (that one does not look good).
I feel like this game should be studied to help developers understand how to make smart design choices. Loved this video and want to analyze the game myself now.
Serious sam
It's a Serious Bloodkiller
Painsam
This is really cool serious sam like and yeah it's like painkiller.
I hope in the future update they add graphics
it look like a serious sam x painkiller game
Looks great gg
This game looks pretty neat, I might check it ou-
>The MP5 bolt reciprocates with every shot
Dogshit, fail, awful, nevermind now
The fact something as insignficant as that bothers you to the point it makes the game awful for you reeks cringe gun nut dudebro 🤓
Ironically, Painkillers style game and also Unreal.
If Killing Floor 1 was a L4D mod
No, it started as an Unreal Tournament mod
Slava Ukraine!!! 🇺🇦
Hands!? Where are they !?
Why does it matter?
@@DX_YT_01 of course how you suppose to hold your gun ? with your D**k🙂
Reminds me of Serious Sam.
A plus from me!
