wow.
you can really tell that Bob Swanson worked with the 900s back in the BC Electric days. some truly epic early Ks.
and man, I miss 124's old voice. that K5H she used to wear had such a unique sound!
Yeah, they are pretty epic horns overall. It seems like 124's old horn is on the 135 now but it's not the same since it doesn't leave the yard much.
@@FraserValleySouthern yeah, it's a real shame. especially since 124 has that boring raised letter K5LA now haha
@FraserValleySouther its a rel horn
@FraserValleySouthern It's a real horn
Awesome with the switcher 1500 and the gp38-2.

*Atomic train* 😮
love the long nose trains
Why can’t these be on the SD38’s
I don't know the answer to that.
@@FraserValleySouthern The SD38's were purchased by B.C Hydro from EMD in the states, and were originally equipped by the builder, with S3L horns. B.C Hydro replaced these with the Canadian tuned K3L. The Washington Group has changed these to either P5 or K5LA depending on the unit. This is the Americanization of Canadian roads! The MP15's were also from EMD and also came equipped from the factory with S3L horns.The SW900RS engines were originally purchased by B.C. Electric, the predecessor of B.C. Hydro, from GMDD in London Ontario. They were equipped with K5H horns.The only exception was 902, which came with an S3L
