Just bought 3 of these tarragon plug plants from this same Nursery and came across this video by chance. I'm glad I did as I could learn about caring for them and as I have now potted them on I hope to see them grow. My wife is French and loves to cook using tarragon so she was delighted when I saw them on this nursery website. We've tried to find them in garden centres but had no luck. Now we will see how it goes but the guidance is very clear and helpful. Thanks.

What are the perfect growing conditions for it (air temperature, humidity, and light amount)? What kind of soil? I’ve heard some say “sandy loam” (or cactus, palm, and citrus soil), and I’ve heard some people say standard potting soil in a well draining container.

I've been having problem growing my tarragon and basically this is the third time i bought a small tarragon plant at the supermarket which they look so healthy but when I get them home they started to wilt down til they finally died out to my disappointment. I've been watching youtube videos on how to grow them well and I think I had tried their tips but still I see my tarragon plant starts to wilt down and die. I tried from watering less, not disturbing the roots by not transplanting them immediately, to letting the soil dry out or keeping it moist everyday but still nothing works they still start to wilt and die. I bought the third tarragon plant last week and it already started wilting and today I bought for the 4th time not 1 but 2 healthy plants with few roots sticking out at the bootom of the pot. I'm hoping they wont wilt and die out like the previous ones cuz even the second plant that I bought before had roots coming out from the bottom of the pot already and pretty sure it has already some rhizomes cuz every now and then some young growth shoots out from the soil but also stopped growing and died out eventually. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right watering technique and keeping it moist cuz it seems like tarragon hates water. Hope you can give more detailed caring technique cuz I really love tarragon and i wanted to learn to grow them so I dont need to keep buying a new plant cuz I already on the state of giving up if I lose these 2 new pots of tarragon again. Also thank you for sharing this video about growing tarragon.

its not slow, you just try giving it twice the space, it will explode, it only need´s alot more space for the root´s.

Agree! I put three small plugs in a raised bed and it took over half the bed in a couple months 😂 I keep seeing how hard it is and it’s practically a weed in my garden!

Good info re watering needs. Now a video about how large the plant needs to get before you begin harvesting leaves. And how to cut etc.
