Anyone else think Flash Magnus is the ancestor of Flash Sentry? They look almost exactly alike, Magnus is orange with a red mane, and Sentry is Orange with a blue mane.
Schornforce yeah I’m sure it was a compliment cause think about how lug spike has been with the ponies...and season 4 is like the only season where he becomes everypony’s karate punching bag
I thought Rockhoof's story in how he suddenly gotten stronger was a bit of a deus ex machina. But I think the moral of the story is that through his sheer will and determination, he uncovered his new strength. As for Mist Mane's culture, it's actually more Chinese than Japanese. As for the curved horns, it's actually very inspired by the "qilin", the mythical Chinese "unicorn", although the qilin has more of an antler than an actual horn. I think I like the moral of Mist Mane's story the best: True beauty lies within us when we take love and share it with the world. and yes, I agree with you on Rarity's character development. She's actually my favorite character out of all six of them, but I really enjoy seeing how much she grew. Like you said, she used to be easily disgusted, but now she's learning from her mistakes and saw beauty in little things.
(17:00) Would’ve been more comical if this leads to a cutaway scene showing Twilight minding her own business reading a book in her library and Spike suddenly sneezes offscreen, much to her surprise.
10:26 "How did you do that, though?" We saw that Rarity was capable of grand illusions way back in Suited For Success. By comparison, a little shadow puppetry magic should be child's play for her.
Ah nice this was fast! :D I was so happy seeing the IDW comics get integrated in the show. About time it happened! And Mistmane was my favourite. She's definitely based on ancient East Asian culture, but especially ancient China's, it would seem. And as a person of Chinese descent, that makes me extremely happy! The unicorns there also appear to be based on the qilin, a Chinese unicorn that can look like it's half-dragon, with antlers and curved horns. 👌 My only concern was people mistaking it for being only Japanese-inspired, since a lot of people seem to forget China's rich history and how it served as inspiration for both Korea and Japan.
kuku88 as a Chinese Indonesian myself I really am pleased that mistmane's legend explores on the Asian culture, design, and especially that qilin-kirin design because it's based on the eastern Chinese unicorn! I mean the music and inclusion of dragons is clearly Chinese and sable spirit was wearing black and red which are Chinese imperial colors! And I have to agree with you there, usually China gets overlooked compared to Japan so hopefully this episode can bring more recognition to the Chinese culture:)
kuku88 half-dragon? Yikes. Suddenly my Sombra being from or descended from that place suddenly seems more real, with his dragon-like eyes and curved horn
As far as I know the characters and the ideas behind them weren't invented IDW but by Hasbro/DHX. They were just published before Campfire Tales, that's all.
GSandSDS from wat I've been hearing the writers have said that the LoM series and Fim comics beyond issue 50 are officially canon. Tho I heard this from others so I'm not sure how tru it is
I truly enjoyed how this episode explores the legends and expands on the background culture of the ponies! Mistmane in particular is my favorite. Her Asian (Chinese and Japanese fusion, but especially ancient Chinese) background, horn design that's probably inspired by the Chinese unicorn 'qilin', and the moral behind her story with her sacrifice and ability to see inner beauty within things..... It's no wonder it's rarity's favorite legend, she takes after mistmane in her beauty and generosity! "Beauty isn't everything, but it has the power to make ponies smile" is a wonderful and powerful line:) it's also a good thing to see the sisters bond develop so well this episode! I can't wait to see more future reactions from you applegeek! :D
Hey Applegeek. I think the unicorn with a curved horn that you are thinking of but can't remember is King Sombra. He had a curved horn just like the unicorns from Rarity's story except his horn is also red while the rest of him is a dark gray and black color. King Sombra is the only unicorn I've seen with a curved horn in MLP until now. (I don't remember any others.) Sometimes legends are based on real life events but over generations after being told many times the facts are clouded with exaggerations. I haven't read the comics but I'll try to check them out later. However for now this is what I think. Rockhoof somehow being able to grow not only in size but also strength reminds me of when Tirek stole everypony's magic. Clearly when Rockhoof was trying to save his village he somehow tapped into his earth pony magic and unlocked his true power. (maybe the light was meant to originate from Rockhoof's body and not the shovel. You know to show him unlocking an earth pony's true potential but perhaps the animators just animated it wrong.) Mistmane was an interesting character and her mane and tail flowing on its own only strengthens my believe that if a pony's mane and tail flow that it means they are very powerful. Heck the comics show Celestia and Luna to be far stronger than the show lets on. It's just the plot requires for them to seem weak to make the mane 6 look good and if given the chance they probably win a fight. Saber Spirit (That's what she was called right?) looked like an adult unicorn version of Scootaloo after she was returned to normal. Flash Magnus looks familiar to me. He has an orange coat color with blue eyes but a red mane and tail. Oh I know! Just change his mane and tail color from red to blue and make his cutie mark a blue shield with a lightning bolt and replace his armor with gold colored crystal guard armor and guess who you get? Another Flash, Flash Sentry! I believe Flash Magnus is Flash Sentry's ancestor and that Flash Sentry looked up to his ancestor and was probably even named after him due to the similar appearance. I also believe Flash became a member of the royal guard in order to live up to his ancestor's legacy. (I personally hope we get some character development on both the human and pony Flash Sentrys.) Loved the reaction, keep up the good work.
I was surprised to find out that that've actually mentioned the names of these figures of legends before in the show. Sunburst lists off a few of them in the season 6 premiere, and I think Starlight mentioned another in "Celestial Advice."
Again, great commentary as usual. I agreed with everything you said in your commentary. As someone who does struggle with PTSD, I think you in right in Scootaloo being more traumatized and reliving a very fearful & impactful event in her life from the last camping trip. Rainbow & Scootaloo's sisterly interaction were fantastic. Loved aeeinthat side of Dash. Mistmane's legend was also my favorite of the three. I definitely saw the cultural influences and the unicorn horns front Mistmane's time could very well be based on a katana like you said, I can see it now myself. And Torch said himself that he has been Dragon Lord for a very very long time, so that very well may have been him. I love watching your videos, and thank you again for doing what you do. Take care, Applegeek Sir!
I think Applejack,Rainbow Dash,and Rarity's Favorite Story Legends are their Anccesstors....Cause Rarity's Beautiful,Rainbow dash Is brave,Applejack's Strong...
This was a pretty fun episode; I love the lore that they brought with this episode it was a lot of fun. Also nice continuity there with the last time they went camping, that's always fun to see. Rarity's story was probably my favorite, which is weird since Rainbow is my favorite character; but Rarity's story just resonated with me in a certain way. But Rainbow's story was definitely my second favorite story. Applejack's story was fun as well, but I just personally preferred Rarity and Rainbow's story myself. But all three were good. Also the moments with Rainbow and Scootaloo were just adorable, loved them! Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
Me: I'm getting How to train your dragon vibes off this Applegeek: Like Hiccup from How to train your dragon? THIS is why Applegeek is my favorite reactor! It's like watching with a friend :)
Wow. I originally didn't know what to think about this episode before now. Your interpretation has let me appreciate this episode a lot more and I believe this strengthens the season, which is already Rock - Solid anyway. Great work as always!
You know I don't know why this episode is really that hated. I've read a lot of comments saying how this episode was useless, not needed, and even outright hated by some. Honestly, I found this episode quite enjoyable and I love how the sister Dynamics between the three pairs has only grown stronger with each season. And I like how Scootaloo hasn't truly gotten over her fears in just that one episode; it makes her so much more relatable, just like with Fluttershy. I absolutely love the Legends. I haven't read the comics but as a standalone each story was interesting for what they were. They reminded me of the shorts that Disney made a few some odd years ago. We got to see three different types of cultures that Equestria might have to offer and a little world-building is always a welcome endeavor. A nice breath of fresh air is what I would call this episode. Also, nope spider is just NOPE! Flying spiders, no, an entire swarm of flying spiders . ...there truly is no God in Equestria.
In Texas we have flies like that. They're called Black Flies. They get into gardens an lay eggs an have a tendency to use salt from bodies rather than soil to make nutrients for their young.
Rarity's legend was my fav, but i loved all of them. Also Rainbow and Scoot's sister relationship is SOOOOO CUUUUUUTE!!!!! I love episodes with the sister pairs ❤ Also I think Scoot might be afraid of the dark or just horror elements in general. Which is actually pretty normal
5:50 - Dash's face! LOL 8:40 - HOW??? 10:19 - Twilight! 10:55 - Chinese ponies ) 12:28 - "How do you doing that, Rarity?" It's a kind of magic! ) 18:04 - Amber's Parents? Well, I like this episode! )
I like how the legends are corresponding with real life, powerful groups of people. Applejack being the Vikings or the Scandinavians. Rarity being a Asian empire. (Not sure which though, I'm guess a Chinese dynasty) And Rainbow being the Romans. (And when they tried to attack Dacia)
I think Mistmane used Earth Pony Magic, which make her old, so I think this type of magic is probably forbidden for other ponies used other type of magic.
This season 7 is rocking really hard. So far I loved all the episode. It's really going to top all the previous seasons. I wonder if Chrysalis is going to be in the finale. About this episode, I liked it. Lot of world building in it, great stories. I also loved how in each stories the main protagonist basically represents the storyteller's element. Like example: in the first story the protagonist was honest to his village/hometown, like Aj. The second one was showing off her generosity by giving all of her beauty power to her enemy, like Rarity. In the last story the main protagonist was loyal enough to risk his owm life just to save two of his friend, like RD. So yeah, overall this was a great episode.
Appleseed Thanks. My dog had gotten old, had diabetes & organ problems (I had him since middle school & im currently 21). Me and him were always together and funny enough whenever he noticed i was sad he would always try to be near me & cheer me up even when we were having him put down he was still like that. He was the definition of man's best friend.
Josh Blackwell Sorry to hear about your dog and I hope they can rest in peace. I've had many dogs over the years and there has been at least three times they died while I was there. I sat by their side making sure they were at ease and making sure they knew how much I loved them. It's never easy and I'm sorry for your loss.
Sorry to hear about your dog, I know what it's like to have a dog you were close to die. It happened to us a few years back with our dog Daisy Belle, a dog I had grown up with all my life. We still miss her, so I feel your pain. I know what you're going through. Then again, she lived a good life. She was 16 when she died.
Here's an idea I had and mentioned in another videos comments. We have seen a almost total lack of Diamond Tiara since she was redeemed. I always thought Starlight would make a great older sister type figure to her. God knows with a mother like Spoiled Rich, she could use one. And it would continue the tradition of Starlight gaining the Friendships of all the redeemed villians/antagonists. And bring DT back into being an actual character in the show again instead of just a background pony. Seriously, I think they missed a lot of potential storylines with a redeemed DT. I think I just thought of a good premise for an episode for the CMC that would finally have them interact with Starlight, while bringing Diamond Tiara back into being a secondary character instead of a background one. Picture this: Knowing about how poor a female role model Spoiled Rich is, the CMC decide to help find a older sister type role model for Diamond Tiara. Heck, maybe DT asks for their help in finding one because she is envious of the relationships they have with their older sisters. Or even make it a friendship problem given to them by the map. After going through several choices that fall flat (Pinkie Pie, Derpy, Fluttershy, ect) a chance encounter with Starlight helps them realize how much in common Starlight has with DT. And maybe Glimmer Glam is also envious of the family connections the rest have (We have no mention of Starlights family). DT and SG hit it off. Then you see them doing things with the other three Older sister/ younger sister combos. I always got this sense Starlight was either never really close to her family (neglect?) Or might have no family at all (Orphan?) It would explain why it seems nopony comforted her when Starburst left. That she really had nopony else. Or maybe I think to much into this. :)
One thing I love about this episode is that it confirms my theory that the show is an anthology told out-of-order, and so far, the events have all taken place within a 2- to 3- year span. For one, the time being 3 years is much more reasonable than, say, the 7 it's taken for the show to come out. It makes sense chronologically because the CMC haven't really grown very much physically, and neither have any of the other kids. And then there's the actual tangible ways you can mark time, by annual events (the Summer Sun Celebration, holidays, and now this), and characters being around (Discord, Thorax [Steve]) or developing certain characteristics (the CMC with their cutie marks, Twilight's wings). There have only been two Summer Sun Celebrations, and as they said in this episode, the last time they took this trip was in the episode Sleepless in Ponyville. And this also means that the events in the EQG world correspond with timings right, but then give us a sense of timeframe of when in the show they happen.
5:06 even after season 7 ended, we still haven't gotten any explanation for that. We have no clue why the Fliders left the Luna Bay area. Maybe we'll get a hint or full explanation in season 8, but I doubt it. They certainly weren't mentioned in the leaked episodes at least
I'm happy that the quality of episodes is keeping up. I've noticed in recent seasons that with the exception of a few episodes, the episode quality tends to drop once the season gets halfway through. Let's hope they can keep up with great episodes.
17:14, i see in this part a "Ponies sliding into a box" call am i right? 22:24, "Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities", THEY DID IT AGAIN!!! Oh my god, why Disney WHY??
Thoughts from this episode: 1. Norse, Asian, Roman. Cool! (Edited from Greek and Japanese) 2. World building 3. Timeline plotpoint 4. What did that shovel pony hit! 5. HOW DO SHADOWS WORK!! 6. Unicorns can't use earth magic or it drains them of life! Then Twilight using magic to grow the crops in ep 11 WAS EARTH PONY MAGIC!!! Earth pony magic explained!! 7. Young Torch?! Cool! Then he must be serving his time's dragon lord. 8. Cute bonding moments between "sisters"! 9. Dang it, was wishing Vincent was FLASH Magnus. Would have made that too perfect. 2nd watch: 1. Wait, lava doesn't flow that fast! And looking closer, he should have gotten burned! 2. AHHHH!! Twilight dancer flashback! Whyyyyy!! 3. That cave must be really unstable if it took I kick to create a collapse. How are they not dead yet? 4. Wait what? Oh! Earth pony magic allows you to light fires really quickly. Ok! And, by the greek and japanese stories, we know that earth ponies can handle and control the magic of the earth without destroying themselves in the process. Mistybrook (thats her name, I think) was basically an earth pony for the rest of her life, earth magic flowing out of her constantly. However, it destroyed her connection to other magic. 5. Wow, more hate on spike. And after a spike episode too! 6. Ok, enchanted item recap from this ep. We have the rock of strength, used to help the greeks and probably ties into a thor relic. And we have the shield of fire resistance, probably tieing back to Titus? God of IDK. 7. Did Flash just make a hoverboard? Fire surfboard? Whatever it is, Cool! 8. Wait, the cave goes down and water flows down. But it is said they were heading towards falls and when the arrive, the falls are in a clearing. So does this mean they were hiking up a mountain just to go down it? In retrospect, the falls could be in a clearing in a secluded part of the forest but the falls are in perfect view of the skies.... This makes no sense!!
2:31 Well, it's Rarity we're talking about soo... yeah 3:05 And here come the memes of Scootaloo being a scared little chicken. 3:10 The memes will come even if you say she isn't. 3:21 Scootaloo implying that this is the second time they went, maybe she didn't come with the other times? 4:43 She seems to get better every time. 5:10 Flyders= fly+spider -.-' 5:12 A new swear word for us to exploit. 5:49 It's the face of even more memes. 6:39 Viking ponies, until now, the yaks were the closest resemblance of that. 7:17 Is he... digging a hole for another outhouse? 7:25 I found that soo hilarious. XD 8:25 Applbloom is that one friend that knows how the movie goes and is trying her hardest not to spoil it all. 10:26 I wonder more about how she was doing that with only her hooves. 11:00 Eastern ponies. 12:18 Applebloom is on fire today! 13:48 Elemental magic is what I would call it, Wood(plants and what not), Fire and Water. 17:03 Flash Magnus=Flash Sentry's ancestor? 17:33 More Romen pegasi, but we knew this. 18:04 Pre-Dragonlord Torch it seems. If memory call's, he had a gemstone Crown. 20:48 Can't watch this part ever again without hearing Applegeek's trademark sound effects. 22:07 Just noticed, Rainbow has her wing draped over Scootaloo's back. 22:26 Dashie is best boat. 22:38 It's been a while since we've seen that. 29:10 Just so you know, All I have written above is my blind commentary as I watch your reaction, please don't hate me for that :'( 35:32 Sombra's had a little curve to it. (not to mention the changelings) 45:33 I also like to say that two of the three stories, the males were the heroes, which we didn't really see untill this point in the show. 50:06 No, we're still calling you out on that and you have to hear us out!!(Not really, but you know)
18:03 That's that one dragon who tried to kill Spike back in "Owl's Well That Ends Well". I wonder if he's related to Torch. Maybe his brother? If I remember correctly, they are the only dragons of that size that we've seen in the show, so they seem to have some sort of connection.
+PARASYTE! Dino Gamer / ARTS Wow. I just went back and looked at the dragon from "Owl's Well That Ends Well". You're right, Torch is way bigger. It's probably still the same kind of dragon though. This one is probably just older and much bigger.
42:52 I was about to point that out too, because I've seen the whole Loyalty thing going on in Rainbow Dash's story, as well a s Generosity in Rarity's story. But Applejack story kinda breaks out from the pattern, because I couldn't see anything about Honesty in her story, so I gave up that idea entirely. (It either works for all of them or the theory is wrong.) Unless you have some ideas where's the Element of Loyalty hidden in Applejack's story perhaps? :q
I think it has more to do with Integrity (one of the 3 Celestia´s "older elements" from S3E13). -> The idea was to fight for the place you live, because if nopony push themselves through the hardships of seemingly imposible tasks, miracles will never happen [it reminds me of the "extended" Apple Family tenacity on the Cider 6000 Flim Flam episode of Season 2]. It is different from Loyalty in the sense that is not about protecting your family/people,, but rather what makes their life worth living for (as it was a key element in that story that the farmers had no other place to go, unlike the warriors who could fight for others in another place and took the boat).
Man, catching up on these comments months later is tough, hard to remember what all I talked about. I do find it interesting that I was seeing those element connections back in this episode though, given what happened in the finale. ;)
Yeah, the finale makes this connection between the "old" Elements and the "new" Elements even stronger, but still it doesn't explain how is strength related to honesty :q There's one more "connection" I'd like to point out, though: Remember the season 3 finale when Twilight got her wings and came down to Earth, and Celestia was explaining the situation to her? She said: "Since you've come to Ponyville, you've displayed the charity (cue to Rarity), compassion (cue to Fluttershy), devotion (cue to Rainbow Dash), integrity (cue to Applejack), optimism (cue to Pinkie), and of course, the leadership (cue to Twilight) of a true Princess." which sounded like a new, more virtuous, higher-level version of the Elements. Hmm....
Wonder how old these stories are. They each showed a story from their tribe, and from what looked to be a time before the windigoes. As the same time I wonder if these three, or at least the later two were their generation's holders of Generosity and Loyalty? I guess the big question about Mistmane would be if her country still exists and she came to Equestria or Platinum's nation later or if all Unicorns used to have that curved horn back in the day and that was Platinum's nation pre-windigos. Mistmane also reminded my of the Story of Gaia Everfree, just leaving flowers over gem dust in her wake. I wonder if their is a connection there somewhere.
I was under the assumption that at some point we'd have heard the Torchlike Dragon call himself "Dragon Lord Torch...the first!" I believe the designs for Mistmane and the other members of her village were modeled after the Qilin, an east Asian creature that resembled a mix between a unicorn and an equine-esque dragon--it was often depicted as having a long curved horn when portrayed as a one-horned variety, though the two horned variety with antlers instead of a unicorn horn was more common.
I'm hoping after seeing Apple Bloom's reaction, when they do a third sister's camping trip (season 11 probably). The CMCs are the ones telling the stories.
2:48 - Is this a subtle Hunger Games reference? 5:06 - "Flyders" I think she said. 18:10 - If that's Torch it brings up the question; how long do dragons live? 18:51 - That's racist.
Another adorable sister camping episode, this was really adorable, amazing and intriguing! The legend of Mistmane happens to my favorite, although I also like the other two legends.
These Storys were amazing. Every Story is based on one of the types of the Main Ponies and how the Mane 3 is. And my favourite Story is Rarity's Story. Speaking of this Story, I hope it isn't just me, but doesn't it based on a Video Game? But don't remember which one.
Even though it has been stated a few times (by the writers/directors) that despite being an alicorn twilight will not outlive her friends but this episode proves that spike will I mean the fact that Torch was in a flashback from over 1000 years ago and was already full grown to boot just emphasizes just how long the dragon lifespan really is.
I love how much Rainbow was embracing her role as Scootaloo's big sister in this episode. Their relationship is so dang cute!!!
I love it too.
Yeah i know i love it🥰
Agreed, it was nice seeing Rainbow Dash being a “Big Sister” to Scootaloo in this episode.
The Scootalove was through the roof this episode. I couldn't handle the little buzzing wings when Dash tossed her up in the air. Feels everywhere.
Anyone else think Flash Magnus is the ancestor of Flash Sentry? They look almost exactly alike, Magnus is orange with a red mane, and Sentry is Orange with a blue mane.
And they are both named Flash.
Ixbran Sentry was also a rank(?) In roman times, I think
I definitely think that is possible because I definitely see the similarities.
Ixbran I was hoping vincent voiced him but oh well. It would have made it too perfect.
My headcanon!
I love Rarity's legend most
Which one was your favourite?
He mentioned in the video that he likes Rarity's legend best.
Angela Perkins No I wasn't asking to applegeek I was asking this to everyone xD
Rarity's legend is by far the best one.
AngrySnowman 1 All but me too
AngrySnowman 1 Yes Rarity's was the best!!
I don't think Spike would like being called big, scary, and mean, so I would say it was a compliment. :)
Schornforce well actually scoot meant were they big and mean or friendly like spike that’s what she meant
Schornforce yeah I’m sure it was a compliment cause think about how lug spike has been with the ponies...and season 4 is like the only season where he becomes everypony’s karate punching bag
@@mr.minebloxdaylighttwinkle442 That’s what I thought too
I don't know how many times Spike gets mentioned because he's not like the other big dragons lol
Dashie and Scoots were so adorable.
blaa6 I know I love them
@@dharani2108 Same.

Maybe the green dragon with Torch is Ember's mom !
That what I was thinking
Her body design looks like Ember's, too. Ember inherited Torch's horns, and inherited her body from her mom.
Margot B. THATS what i was thinking =->
Could always just be torchs brother or something...it looks like the Dragon that chased spike way long ago...
Ribbons Almark
Ya true
But it be more interesting to think it her mother
You hear about the unicorns in the east? They have curved horns. Curved. Horns.
That's a reference, you better know where.
Skyrim Guard Quote reference!
Sombra has a curved horn
LET ME GUESS, SOMEONE STOLE YOUR SWEETROLL!!!
"You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They've got curved swords. Curved. Swords.
Uh... is it bad that I want to see more of 'old' Equestria and the ponies who lived there?
David Boucher No,its good.
3:46 Legit looks back at the camera and back to his computer in shock and confusion. That face was priceless! XD
(17:00) Would’ve been more comical if this leads to a cutaway scene showing Twilight minding her own business reading a book in her library and Spike suddenly sneezes offscreen, much to her surprise.
10:26 "How did you do that, though?"
We saw that Rarity was capable of grand illusions way back in Suited For Success. By comparison, a little shadow puppetry magic should be child's play for her.
That smile when Scootaloo came closer to RainbowDash I'm dying. That was the most adorable thing, I love Rainbow more now thanks MLP for the feels.
14:54 get the RedBull that should get Applegeek working again.
The second story is beautiful.
So true.
Yeah mistmane is definitely worthy of a harmony crew member! that’s my team BTW
Ah nice this was fast! :D

Applejack's story reminded me of Disney's Hercules.
Starlight glimmer yes! So nice to see you online!
Starlight glimmer is that good or bad?
Starlight glimmer true. But once in a while I have to make time to watch reaction videos of us from one of my favorite RUclipsrs Applegeek.
Twilight Sparkle is true
(I don't remember any others.)
Sometimes legends are based on real life events but over generations after being told many times the facts are clouded with exaggerations.
You know to show him unlocking an earth pony's true potential but perhaps the animators just animated it wrong.)
Mistmane was an interesting character and her mane and tail flowing on its own only strengthens my believe that if a pony's mane and tail flow that it means they are very powerful.
(I personally hope we get some character development on both the human and pony Flash Sentrys.)
Loved the reaction, keep up the good work.
I wonder if Rockhoof was the first earth pony to discover their magical strength that is rarely mentioned? Hmmm~
This is now my headcanon.
Thank you for this.
(8:40) Whosoever wields this shovel, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Rockhoof.
So we had viking, asian and roman ponies. Awesome :D I like this added diversity. Any episode that does some world building is a win in my book.
Take care, Applegeek Sir!
if that really was Torch he must be around 400 years old or however long ago Magnus was supposed to live, :O
Thanks for the feedback, glad I wasn't off base on my assessment. ^_^
Well due to the information from Shadow Play, I'd say that he would be over a thousand years old, assuming that is Torch, that is.

Next time,do not build next to A FRICKIN VOLCANO!
I think Applejack,Rainbow Dash,and Rarity's Favorite Story Legends are their Anccesstors....Cause Rarity's Beautiful,Rainbow dash Is brave,Applejack's Strong...
omg i just realized that!
also earth pony, unicorn, and pegasus?
ELEMENTROID Likewise
I got my own theory that them, along with the other 3 legends from the comics are gunna be the original elements of harmony
But that would mean twilight is related to... I forgot how to spell star scrolls the bearded
XD.
Me: I'm getting How to train your dragon vibes off this
Applegeek: Like Hiccup from How to train your dragon?
Who says that it’s useles and not needed I can’t see any of the comments like that?
19:53 my mocking to the evil dragons “hey ya big puffballs come and get me!!! Pinchy’s hungry!”
In Texas we have flies like that. They're called Black Flies. They get into gardens an lay eggs an have a tendency to use salt from bodies rather than soil to make nutrients for their young.
I hate black flies lol I just don’t like them
This was a favorite episode from Season 7. Really enjoyed the Legend stories, because it sets up later episodes near the end of Season 7.
Rarity's legend was my fav, but i loved all of them. Also Rainbow and Scoot's sister relationship is SOOOOO CUUUUUUTE!!!!! I love episodes with the sister pairs ❤
Also I think Scoot might be afraid of the dark or just horror elements in general. Which is actually pretty normal
Omg when sweetie belle said "DON'T SPOIL IT" that instantly reminded me of you when you tell us not to spoil you on episodes.
This was a nice reaction :). That moment where Mistmane sacrifices herself for the greater good gives me massive feels too.
5:50 - Dash's face! LOL
8:40 - HOW???
10:19 - Twilight!
10:55 - Chinese ponies )
12:28 - "How do you doing that, Rarity?" It's a kind of magic! )
18:04 - Amber's Parents?
Well, I like this episode! )

Didn't Sombra have a curved horn?
titan hades #SombraAsianConfirmed.
Daniel Antony
You mean "SombrasianConfirmed"?
Applegeek may also have been thinking of Oleander from Them's Fighting Herds ..... ^_^
yea but he was an umbrum
At this point that is not canon. As far a the TV series goes, he's a unicorn.
I like how the legends are corresponding with real life, powerful groups of people.
Applejack being the Vikings or the Scandinavians.
Rarity being a Asian empire. (Not sure which though, I'm guess a Chinese dynasty)
And Rainbow being the Romans. (And when they tried to attack Dacia)
When you never noticed that Rarity can make pony’s without having finger ;-;
When you realize that a pony from a a show can do better finger shawdows than you: 👁 👄 👁
She is so amazing.
Honestly, I love your reactions, sometimes I binge them honestly. Keep up the good work!
17:19 you can say that again lol
After having to put down my dog this video really brightened up my morning.
Josh Blackwell
Sorry to hear about your dog and I hope they can rest in peace. I've had many dogs over the years and there has been at least three times they died while I was there. I sat by their side making sure they were at ease and making sure they knew how much I loved them. It's never easy and I'm sorry for your loss.
FoxNinja4000 Thanks mate.
Im sorry to hear that, I know how it feels to lose an animal.
The green dragon has to be embers mom there’s no other explanation
Maybe she is.
When applegeek asked how rarity did the shadow puppet thing all I was thinking was "applegeek it's pony logic don't question it" 🤣😂🤣
All the stories were fine, but Rarity's tale of Mistmane takes the cake. Really cool character.
Picture this:
Knowing about how poor a female role model Spoiled Rich is, the CMC decide to help find a older sister type role model for Diamond Tiara.
Maybe yes
Rockhoof: Norse
Mistmane: East Asian
Flash Magnus: Roman
I LOVED the story Rairity told!
Emma The Pegasister *rarity
7:24 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 even though I haven’t seen this in ages that is still funny to watch
Stupid Apple Bloom
I think you have the best reaction I've seen so far when it comes to Mist Mane's actions at the end of her story. :)
Mistmane's could have been it's own episode and I wouldn't have complained. It was had such an efficiently touching story arc.
5:07 Luna has a bay named after her, how neat
3:37 I thought he just Came on sweetie bell then I realized it was silk
8:41-8:43
Captain America's origin easter egg!!!
Meh
Scootaloo doesn't know how to swim which is why Rainbow carries her during the river.... nice continuity to her falling into the river in sleepless.
17:14, i see in this part a "Ponies sliding into a box" call am i right?
22:24, "Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities", THEY DID IT AGAIN!!! Oh my god, why Disney WHY??
4:27 Pestilence. You've unknowingly walked into pun territory. But good one though.
Applegeek: I haven’t seen a curved horn
Me: SOMBRA
Everyone don't remember him.
Thoughts from this episode:
1. Norse, Asian, Roman. Cool! (Edited from Greek and Japanese)
2. World building
3. Timeline plotpoint
2nd watch:
Dallin Anderson
*Norse*, *Asian*, and Roman
OtomostheCrazy yeah, realized that while watching this. Changing for you!
That one empress pony's backstory actually reminds me a little of Starlight Glimmer.
Angela Perkins Biased.
Daniel Antony How? I didn't say that's necessarily good or bad, I just noticed a couple similarities.
Angela Perkins
From my perspective, the story reminded me of the game little nightmare.
Ok. I've never played that game before.
7:23 eeeeeeeeeeeeeh!!
(That part left me laughing XD)
Apple Bloom's face when Applejack is telling the story of Rockhoof 😂 is exactly like i would be if you could do a reaction to Stand By Me
Apple Bloom is stupid
That opener about knowing the episode title. The salt was real with Applegeek. XD
I really loved rarity's legend
4:05 i saw discord in flutershy's windo!!!!!!!!!
2:31 Well, it's Rarity we're talking about soo... yeah
3:05 And here come the memes of Scootaloo being a scared little chicken.
3:10 The memes will come even if you say she isn't.
3:21 Scootaloo implying that this is the second time they went, maybe she didn't come with the other times?
4:43 She seems to get better every time.
5:10 Flyders= fly+spider -.-'
5:12 A new swear word for us to exploit.
5:49 It's the face of even more memes.
6:39 Viking ponies, until now, the yaks were the closest resemblance of that.
7:17 Is he... digging a hole for another outhouse?
7:25 I found that soo hilarious. XD
8:25 Applbloom is that one friend that knows how the movie goes and is trying her hardest not to spoil it all.
29:10 Just so you know, All I have written above is my blind commentary as I watch your reaction, please don't hate me for that :'(
35:32 Sombra's had a little curve to it. (not to mention the changelings)
45:33 I also like to say that two of the three stories, the males were the heroes, which we didn't really see untill this point in the show.
50:06 No, we're still calling you out on that and you have to hear us out!!(Not really, but you know)
i liked all of the stories but i liked rarity's the best
We all did... lol even apple geek liked rarity’s the best
18:03 That's that one dragon who tried to kill Spike back in "Owl's Well That Ends Well". I wonder if he's related to Torch. Maybe his brother? If I remember correctly, they are the only dragons of that size that we've seen in the show, so they seem to have some sort of connection.
Nope, that one's different.
Torch is much bigger than the dragon from "Owls well that ends well."
It could be his mate.
Don't forget the Dragon in Dragonshy. Plus if you watch Dragon Quest, there was a number of large dragons that size.
+titan hades Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that one!
+PARASYTE! Dino Gamer / ARTS Wow. I just went back and looked at the dragon from "Owl's Well That Ends Well". You're right, Torch is way bigger. It's probably still the same kind of dragon though. This one is probably just older and much bigger.
Actually that begs the question: How old is Torch?
13:54
Harry Potter easter egg!!!
Expecto Patronum!!!
How did I not see dat?
@@jinxx4655 These spells are easy to be familiar with from the Harry Potter series.
:3 Love it. This was released right in the morning 3:36AM
Well....hello there Torch!
I do find it interesting that I was seeing those element connections back in this episode though, given what happened in the finale. ;)
Yeah, the finale makes this connection between the "old" Elements and the "new" Elements even stronger, but still it doesn't explain how is strength related to honesty :q
There's one more "connection" I'd like to point out, though: Remember the season 3 finale when Twilight got her wings and came down to Earth, and Celestia was explaining the situation to her? She said:
"Since you've come to Ponyville, you've displayed the charity (cue to Rarity), compassion (cue to Fluttershy), devotion (cue to Rainbow Dash), integrity (cue to Applejack), optimism (cue to Pinkie), and of course, the leadership (cue to Twilight) of a true Princess."
which sounded like a new, more virtuous, higher-level version of the Elements.
YOU KNOW HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON? WHAT? 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😄😄😄
I will forever headcanon that Flash Magnus is Flash Sentry's ancestor.
8:14 Don't worry Dash, he had the magic of bullshit on his side xD
I definitely think RD and her family adopted Scootaloo, so much so that I wrote a story about that on my FiMFiction.
God, your reaction when Sweetie Belle got sprayed was hilarious XD
Can I just say that I LOVE that he made a reference to HTTYD😍😍😍😍🤣
I was under the assumption that at some point we'd have heard the Torchlike Dragon call himself "Dragon Lord Torch...the first!"
I believe the designs for Mistmane and the other members of her village were modeled after the Qilin, an east Asian creature that resembled a mix between a unicorn and an equine-esque dragon--it was often depicted as having a long curved horn when portrayed as a one-horned variety, though the two horned variety with antlers instead of a unicorn horn was more common.
I'm really hoping we get an episode involving Saddle Arabia soon! Maybe not this season but still!
I'm hoping after seeing Apple Bloom's reaction, when they do a third sister's camping trip (season 11 probably). The CMCs are the ones telling the stories.
5:50 [Well, gotta give her credit for taking one for the team.]
More like one thousand. :D
That's awesome! Ember's parents are soo cooool
Wasn't a picture of the 'Flash Magnus' Tale in Sweetie Belle's book of fairy tales in "Hard To Say Anything"?
Ok this was my fave episode so far of Season 7! I loved the legend of Mist Mane!
These Storys were amazing. Every Story is based on one of the types of the Main Ponies and how the Mane 3 is. And my favourite Story is Rarity's Story.
Speaking of this Story, I hope it isn't just me, but doesn't it based on a Video Game? But don't remember which one.
18:34 if you look closely you will see a dragon head and it's claws sticking out
Even though it has been stated a few times (by the writers/directors) that despite being an alicorn twilight will not outlive her friends but this episode proves that spike will I mean the fact that Torch was in a flashback from over 1000 years ago and was already full grown to boot just emphasizes just how long the dragon lifespan really is.
"Applegeek.exe stopped working" XD I lost it
3:41 They're dead now. XD
