Not only is Buu far stronger than Cell (Cell lost to a slightly powered up SSJ2 Cell Games Gohan while Buu took on both SSJ2 Vegeta and SSJ3 Goku and held his own), but Buu's regeneration is greatly superior to Cell's. Cell's is reliant on his nucleus not being destroyed while Buu doesn't have to worry about such a thing.
At least Cell as a character has originality and a far more interesting backstory than Buu's. Majin Buu is nothing but a cheap copy of Bib Fortuna from Star Wars and now they're saying it was done as tribute because Akira loved Star Wars. Gimme a break! The best villain of the entire franchise (imho) is Moro but to each their own.

Star Wars came way WAY before DB or DBZ for that matter. My issue is with fanboys claiming Buu as a concept is entirely original when it isn't.

@@jeffsan8227kid Buu wasn't ss3 level tho. Goku straight up says he could've one shot him if he didn't let Vegeta fight but he wasn't prepared for his living bodies drain. Kid Buu is not much stronger than super perfect cell.

We mean Fat Boo or Kid Boo. Not the Boo absorbed versions Bootenks and Boohan.
The problem with Kid Boo is his almost INFINITE endurance and his regeneration. Also his evil spirit which is just about destruction.
Ssj3 is very unstable and you can keep it as a living person the form only for a limited time, if you have not mastered it completely.
Goku trained 7 years in the otherworld and there he learned the ssj3. Being in the otherword with no energy limitations was one of the reasons he managed to go to ssj3. Of course he also trained exclusively to go even further beyond.
If he was on Earth or if you are not a fused character it is almost impossible to get to ssj3 in this dimension.
But even in the otherworld there he had not mastered the form yet. It was very fresh.
Later as a living person again vs kid boo he had huge energy problems as it was the first time he went to ssj3 as a living person.
At Super , at the end of Z and at GT Goku seems to have managed to have complete control of the ssj3.

Goku even while drained was blowing kid Buu away effortlessly he just has crazy Regen. Good Buu whose half as strong as fat Buu was able to compete with kid Buu and give him a good fight. Kid Buu is ss2 level

I dont think cells can defeat buu.,
Super perfect cell would win (high difficulty) because of his high intelligence vast skill set and his abilities to absorb buu cells and gain his abilities so he knows how to counter them. Kid buu is just insane and strong and doesn't show any signs of intelligence which puts him in a disadvantage against someone like Cell who's cunning and has a plan B up his sleeve. This is just my thoughts and opinions of course. In terms of power kid buu wrecks but overall package and performance super perfect cell gains the uperhand.
