Sora being his own makes more sense. He’s the only character who seems to be doing what he thinks his best not just what hes passed down to do. Sora gathers his strength from friends and actual practice and challenges
exactly. people have this notion that a hero cant just be a hero, he needs a lineage to explain WHY he is what he is. he cant just get there through hard work and will power, he NEED to be the specialest chosen one that ever special.
Maybe in the end he cast away he's physical form and go to the time before the Keyblade War and becomes the MoM. That's why we don't see he's face, like Xehanort in he's cloaked form when he was only a heart.
ill say this if reincarnation does exist it would mean that anyone if the so chose when they passed on would reincarnate. that doesn't mean sora is less sora it would explain why his heart kept being a vessel for keyblade wielder and light guardians when so far sora is the only shown with this talent... it would mean there's a real connection between these different eras and it would also mean that sora isn't being dragged along just to be a fiddle in others destiny. yes heros can be nobody and being reincarnated shouldn't really change that unless it gave you powers memories or others. it would also explain why he keeps having to save everyone when they should just as capable or more. and does away the plot armor excuse that get's boring and make sora question more. because him being stupid like goku ain't really my thing
People thinking that Sora is a reincarnation of Ephemer because of their similarities are missing how dramatically different Xehanort is from the Player. Reincarnation doesn't mean any character traits carry over from one life to the next. And in the case of Player/Xehanort, I think it's safe to say the two are almost polar opposites. Therefore, similar character traits can't be taken at face value as a sign of some past-life connection.
That's my take as well into reincarnation in KH. You not just reborn but you a free to be whoever you are, without your past life dictating the next one. There no carry over of Karma Normally from you former lifes. But I think in Xehanort case he not only inherited the Players heart but some of the Player ability because the circumstances of the Players reincarnation was VERY different to what would normally happen. If you die and pass on, your heart is filtered through the Real Kingdom Hearts and is reborn with a fresh slate. But the Player was able to connect with his future self and know that he had another journey to fulfill.
@@mxjumper1234 that would've been far better. sora doesnt need to be special. if anything, it makes him more special, he got where he is through his own achievements.
Please no Sora is one of the few characters that legitimately became great without being attached someone great or being prophesied to be special. Sora's on of the few characters that represent you or me or a normal person that happened to be at the right place at the right time and took the opportunity to be great.
If you genuinely believe that sora isn't some sort of special or chosen person, you are so incredibly unintelligent that video games should be the last thing you are worried about. Like, appalling levels of stupidity. To the point that you genuinely need to see a doctor immediately before you stop remembering to breathe.

@@kanekikingstorm2113 the player doesn't really BECOME Xehanort just becomes a part OF. Xehanort is still his own person it's just that somewhere deep down there are fragments of the players memories and such.
@@sskiez that's what I thought. But ive seen two different versions of the final ending of uniom cross. One saying that your heart becomes apart of a new heart, and one that your heart becomes a new heart. So its been a bit confusing
@@kanekikingstorm2113 I can see some people’s issue with that, but I believe as a whole with his character: it explains his personality, his desires and his even his endgame, fitting perfectly. Xehanort always longed for the outside world, most likely because the player wanted to see their friends and comrades again. The player *wanted* another journey as seen with their choice of reincarnation over sleeping. The player’s spirit/ heart was familiar with darkness and light , and being a former protector of the balance, that affected Xehanort’s ideals and goals throughout his lifetime: for him to balance *everything* so that no more unnecessary deaths had to be. He was even comfortable playing the villain when his goals were, in actuality heroic, signaling back to when he played the villain to trap the darkenesses in his previous lifetime during his final moments. It also explains how he was a prodigy with the keyblade, and how he knew so much about the nature of light and darkness without being told and picked up the life of keyblade wielder so fast. Finally, I think Nomura is also cheekily saying, by making Xehanort being a reincarnation of the player, “ *You* started all the events of every single KH game...by playing Unchained X”, which to me, is kinda genius lowkey.🥴
@@themaineone2984 yea that makes good sense. I feel like the player becoming oart of xehanort was him taking the meme, and just ramping it up to infinity. Talk about a domino effect.
Wouldn't that take away Sora's character a bit? After all Sora has always been only special at one thing and that's making connections with people. Being the reincarnation to a keyblade master would ruin the simple but friendly boy.
Right, I also got the feeling that Ephemer didn't start out "Special" either but rather his connections helped to build his strong heart. He was chosen because he proved he was strong not that his life was pre-ordained as well. ;) The reason why Xeharnort could see darkness is that his former self the Player was was able to fight and hold it at bay. His heart remembered this and probably because he chose to be reincarnated instead of just going to Kingdom Hearts as he died. The Players choice means he had some control over his future.
Judging by the timeline Luriam and Elrena ended up in Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted dominion after BBS and before KH1 as both worlds haven't fallen to darkness. They must have been converted to nobodies when they fell to darkness, around that timeframe Xigbar came and took their Nobodies to the Organization
Reincarnation opened a whole can of worms into KH as a whole. I've got a feeling that maybe Strelitzia might have been reborn instead of getting a new body if that wasn't a complete replica of her in the Data world. I like the Thoery that Ephemer and Sora are both now 'Unchained' from the confines of the rules of the Realms. They can both bend the rules to make the impossible possible like connecting through time when needed. They also both share a bond with the Dandelions as well because Sora befriended their Spirits.
@@ProdigyxCD Right! Up to the finalle episodes "Strelitzia is the Trues Dandelion".... But she can't be now and I don't think anyone actually captured her heart as she died. T-T
It could be Kairi, given the parallels between her in the flashback in MoM and Strelitzia in the end of UX. Makes what Marluxia did to Namine (Kairi's Nobody) as odd as Xehanort experimenting on who might be Skuld.
@@ProdigyxCD Do you think MoM stole Yozora’s body and put his own in the box? So that when they all get destroyed with their darknesses, MoM has somewhere to go back to and he won’t die.
I'd prefer to see reincarnation used minimally tbh; I think that was a genius way to continue the Player's story, but I don't want it to become overused. That said, I kind of wonder if somehow or someway Ava eventually took that option.
I don’t think Nomura will give Sora any significant connections, as KHIII pretty much established that Sora is a normal not so special guy who always end up getting involved. I also don’t think Sora is related to MoM either, if MoM is related to anyone it would be Yozora, he stole his body perhaps?
@@r0xas293 He has no important destiny to fulfill and he is not someone connected to anyone important in the story, he’s just there when the people need him.
I've been having these weird thoughts lately. Like is any of this for real or not? -But no, that scene in keyblade graveyard would be hard to explain. - but maybe strelitzia is kairi. -What I want to know who is demyx and luxord. And where did skuld go? Why is this info not revealed yet!?!
Sora has had to deal with being confused as someone else for a long time now, confused as Roxas, confused as Ventus, confused as Vanitas. And whenever people would call him “Roxas” it really affected him. Sora is confident in himself and his identity, and it makes him uncomfortable when he’s referred to as someone else because he knows he’s had to collect hearts within himself. Having your own identity is so huge to Sora, that he made sure that Roxas and Xion, two people who were technically just parts of him, had their own bodies and hearts so they could exist and be themselves, have their own identities. I feel like Ephemer being Sora really defeats this mission he has of everyone being their own person, and doesn’t suit his story. I also think that Ephemer shouldn’t be reincarnated at all- he should stay Master Ephemer, the Union Leader, the Creator of Scala ad Caelum, the first Keyblade Master. Because that is legendary enough in itself. If anything, Ephemer is reincarnated in every single keyblade master after him, he’s reincarnated into Scala ad Caelum. Sora and Ephemer should stay being two different people who both have incredible legacies and have their own stories.
Either way, the point stands that Sora’s connetion to past characters like MoM or Ephemer is definitely gonna be a major point in Phase 2. UX’s finale honestly made me A BIT more open to the idea of MoM being an alternate version of Sora.
The more pieces we get the more confused we get which I absolutely love about this franchise. I love the eye opening and jaw dropping moments that keep us on our toes the entire time. The only character I really feel I’d love to see answer to more than anyone at the moment is Demyx, we know next to nothing about him and his entire back story is still a huge mystery. I
The idea that Sora is strongly connected to master of masters or is MOM is quite a bit stronger. I believe it's a Sora from the future that has lost everything and is trying to change everything to win against darkness.
Both Masters xehanort's and Sora each have a beginning story that is similar dreaming about memories station of Awakening to have interesting moments that they can explain but feel familiar to them but it doesn't take away like I said who they are
Agreed. ^ Plus I think that helps improve Sora’s character since you have all these other characters that have back stories and now reincarnation. Also, it would make sense that Player/Xehanort and Ephemer/Eraqus reincarnation makes better sense. But you have Sora who is a no one and yet does and accomplish all these amazing ideas.
Im so proud that Im - at least one of - the guy(s) who came up with this. Here's another bone to chew upon: Did you realised that Roxas's pendant is the refrence mark? And do you know what more can it mean, hmmmm? Fiction is no-existent, just like Nobodies.... In other words Nobodies can origante from Quadratum.
Sora was originally written in KH1 with the intention that he is a relatively regular kid with an almost completely pure heart, who chooses right over wrong, and who prioritizes his loved ones/friends over everything else. He wasn't "special" nor was he prophesized, and characters like Leon reinforce that as well. The only thing they acknowledge is that the keyblade has chosen him for a reason, that reason being that Riku has fallen to darkness while still surviving the destruction of Destiny Islands. That would actually make him even less special as Riku was the keyblade's first choice. Later, Sora proves himself to be selfless when confronted with Riku's more selfish behavior, at which point the keyblade chooses Sora once again. None of this should be tainted by reincarnation, past lives or other characters. Sora in KH1 is supposed to be us: the innocent, clueless kid who only wants to save everyone and the world. Let's leave it at that.
I never realised until know just how similar Ephemer and Sora's outfits are in kh3. Red, black, white, and brown color scheme, both wear gauntlets/gloves on each hand, both have blue eyes, and eventually both recieve the master's defender keyblade one way or another. Either these are all just an incredible chain of coincidences, or this is a very subtle nudge that they could be more linked than we think.
One if my favorite quotes of all time (what is special.... Do you know how greatness is even born no.... Figures it's from normality you see we cant shape or rationalize normal no matter how hard we try do you know why.... Because anything is possible when you put your mind to it in this case the heart to it ) and you know what's crazy I made this quote yeah that's right from a normal EVERYDAY person and love this channel so much 💓💓💓💓😊
could be true considering ephemer was supposed to lock away one of the 13 darknesses in his heart, and his heart dissolving into soras would mean a darkness is locked in soras heart which could be the reason xehanort wanted him as a vessel so bad
I personally like the theory because I feel like it gives a better answer to ven’s heart being locked away in sora. Since he has that connection to ephemer. It EXPLAINS Sora’s connections, not necessarily ret-conning why he is so great at making connections
Sora being the reincarnation of Ephemer would also explain why Ventus chose in KH BBS to reside in Soras heart not that Soras heart was the part he needed for healing but also a part that felt familiar to him but as we already established being reincarnated doesn't mean a copy and paste of the Character take Xehanort and the player as an example the player chose to side with the light and Xehanort chose the darkness meaning every reincarnated person is their own Person like Roxas,Xion and Namine. Another thing that is important to mention is 'Fated Encounters' in my opinion Fated Encounters are for example the reunion of Brains descendant and the Players reincarnation and by once again reuniting making a new cycle.(Thats what i think Nomura wants to do) Fated Encounters that we know: -Sora - Marluxia - Larxene - Xehanort -Ventus -Eraqus -Luxu
so the thought occurred to you too. what if other characters were reincarnated as well? my point of interest is directed at the nobodies specifically. how can they just regrow hearts? they're supposed to be devoid of both light and darkness- the two components of a heart. what if their "regrown" hearts are "on loan", so to speak? their nature as nobodies prevents them from housing their own hearts, but they can house pre-existing hearts. and those hearts return to kingdom hearts upon their recompletion. however, nobodies who fight to become their own people "earn" the ownership of those reincarnated hearts. kinda similar to how sora earned the keyblade from riku. he persuaded kingdom key to change its mind about riku. I don't know. I just want *something meaningful* to differentiate a nobody with a regrown heart from just any ol' human.
I like this idea, it bothered me that Nomura retconned Nobodies "regrowing" hearts, to make sense for Roxas, Xion and Axel specifically. I think if he just said the connections those 3 made and memories born a power similar, but not the same, to a single heart. I think he wrote himself into a corner on it, made a premise that the villains are devoid of human life and emotions, then makes snarky, characters full of personality. 🤷🏼♂️
The biggest problem with Nomura's writing seem to be that he takes a trope without giving it some extra flavor. Even back in KH2 I thought Nobodies really didn't seem to be that different from normies even without hearts. While that can somewhat be explained to be intentional it is not very interesting. Roxas being outcast wasn't due him being Nobody but rather him living in the matrix. Nomura needs to spice his plot-components a bit more. Now they seem to mostly serve as some sort of desperate attempts to continuation.
@@-S.a.k. Kinda my thoughts. Nobodies seemed to have more personality than so-called somebodies. Kinda one reason I'm not that interested in this Ephemer-Sora connection. Ephemer is basically just another good-boy which we already have enough there.
@@Yurikon3 Yup I agree, I think Nomura makes bullet points on what he wants to do and connect the dots as he goes. It's very George Lucas "Everything rhymes" gimmick, which isnt a bad thing done right tbh. Before reincarnation was even confirmed, years ago when union cross X came out I assumed the union leaders were previous lives of the main cast. Then Re:mind happened.. so no?? I'm glad Nomura is moving away from the Nobodies plothole, now the headache is datascapes, alternate dimensions and reincarnation lol.
If Ephemer is going to get reincarnated, I think it would be as Riku. But that's just my theory. Apart from their slight physical resemblance, you have their qualities as leaders, the fact they're the best friend of the main character and are the first Keyblade Masters of their respective generations. Riku being Ephemer's reincarnation would explain why he spoke so sagely about worlds and hearts even before meeting Terra and seemed wise beyond his years ("You say some weird stuff sometimes." - Sora to Riku, BBS).
The thing is the reincarnation part means little at this point. We don't know what that really means for now, what it implies or what significance it holds in a mechanical sense, they haven't said anything other than it's a thing. The most we can infer is that some memories are carried over very subconsciously like a dream, but doesn't necessarily means they're not their own person, so it can go eitherway until further info is shown.
I actually couldn’t see it because as I was looking at one of the cut scenes for kingdom hearts three when he appeared and asked Sarah if he needed help, I looked at his face and seemed the same amount of sincerity and seeing the same look in his eyes that sora tends to have each time throughout the adventure in kingdom hearts three believe it or not I may be partially blind but I know the similarities when I see them, trust me :-)
I think it makes more sense if Ephemer reincarnates as Master Eraqus. This could explain why him and Xehanort were such good friends as well as why Eraqus wielded Master's defender.
Im curious to see how reincarnation is explored in Dark Road’s finale, and how much influence that has over the new heart when it comes to Xehanort at least. It’s also possible that Sora’s connection with the Dream Eaters had more to do with his connection with Ephemer and the wielders that fought in the war, but I’m not only one making that connection. A lot of those Dandelions had friends who stayed and fought with the Foretellers after all.
Just an additional thought to the reincarnation theory: what if Yozora is actually a reincarnation of the Master of Masters and the hooded figure in the secret ending is actually the final darkness? Just a thought mainly because Yozora has one blue eye and one red eye, and we know the Master of Masters gave up one of his eyes so he could see the future. Just a small theory of mine. We know the Master of Masters spoke to Young Xehanort at one moment, but what if that was his last time even being alive? Anything is possible, and the theories can be infintismal.
I mean now that you think about it it would make sense if Sora is the reincarnation of Ephemer who has to fight Xehanort the reincarnation of the player character. I feel like this would go into the idea of Destiny, Xehanort and Sora were destined to cross paths due to their past lives being best friends. Maybe Ephemer and Player Character were always destined to be part of each other’s lives no matter how.
Nah just a strong enough connection through the dream eaters, ventus, Unironically xehanort, braig/brain/Luxu, Marly and Elreena with his nobody being connected in a sense to Skuld due to Lea and Isa trying to find her so it in a sense falls into place that the connection would be strong enough for ephemer to briefly appear with possibly the souls of the dream eaters/dandelions to defeat the tornado
@@AchrivedDunny ephemer is part of the chi trio or should I say duo now, but it stands to reason he’s got a good connection through lost memories to do some shenanigans
Take a look at the khux cutscene with luxu using a pod. It could be possible that sora is the true dandelion? My thoughts and keynotes: kh1-Sora's origin; kh2-his true journey; and, kh3- his part within the book of prophecy set by luxu from khux
Nomura puts every possible plot element into the kingdom hearts, He’s eventually going to run out of deus ex machina: Alternate worlds, alternate realms, Alternate dimensions, alternate timelines, alternate realities, time travel, body switching, simulated realities, and now reincarnation.
I don't really know folks take this as some sort of giga-brain idea. Reincarnation might be one of the oldest tricks in the books. It starts to get kinda dull that instead of dwelling bit deeper with new idea Nomura simply picks up new trope before last one settled down. I don't think folks are confused due the tropes, they just forgot them since series spends only fraction with one element.
It's an interesting theory, but I wonder if that would go against the themes of Kingdom Hearts. Nomura has made it very clear that Sora has been and will always be an ordinary guy... so that the audience can relate to him and admire him. It's why Sora wasn't given the title of Keyblade Master in Dream Drop Distance (an easy choice, according to Nomura).
Not just that, but the player dies and reincarnates into xeahnort at that time ephemer still lives on, by the time ephemer dies, xeahnort will be older. This can explain the age gap between sora and xeahnort. Also, if that did happen, the game goes into a full circle, at the end of union x, the player fights ephemer and I’m kh3, sora fights xeahnort. Also maybe this is why xeahnort finally gives up and gives sora the x blade. Maybe something in the player felt for sora (ephemer)
Something I completely forgot about that may disprove this whole theory is what Sora says to Ventus; it's that Sora (possibly at the time of his birth) is a new heart; and it seems like even though a heart is reborn it would not be considered new.
If we all agree that maleficent action caused a domino effect that lead the player to becoming xehanort, maleficent was only able to travel back because riku stabbed her with his keyblade, but riku was under the influence of ansum or xehanort's heartless, so did xehanort create himself?
I see it more like Sora doesn't blend well being an Ephemer reincarnation. Partly, because it wouldn't explain why Sora is so much similar to Ventus' dark side (which is the whole reason that Vanitas looks so much like him and why Ventus' heart was able to take refuge in Sora's), as they were friends, but not that extremely close. Had we to "reincarnate" him, I think the most relatable option is actually Eraqus. And that would open some nice interpretations as to how Ephemer was able to save the Player from himself as Xehanort, in contrast to how the Player saved Ephemer by inducing him into despair.
Crazy enough. The player becoming ol' Xehanort gave me Avatar the last airbender vibes. How the new reincarnation has a complementary personality to the previous.
Sora is similar to Ventus as in he's a total wildcard because we wasn't supposed to be in the mix. Ven only because a new leader because Darkness killed Sterlitzia, Sora only became a keyblade weilder because Riku accepted Darkness. Sora is probably the only main character without passed down destiny
While I'd rather Sora not be anyone's reincarnation to keep him "less special", if he HAD to be anyone's I would really love for him to be Ava's reincarnation. I feel that's be more unexpected, while both characters still share their kindness and happiness. Also him fighting the Foretellers and MoM while being part Ava would just be *chef's kiss*
But u can only be reincarnated if your world falls “asleep” and u chose not to sleep but be reincarnated. I believe Ephemer is just dead at this point 🤷♂️
Haven’t thought about this until now, but they missed their weird obscure chance to be like “oooh and xehanort was the one that built all the little tree forts on destiny island”
Id only give thought to this if they revealed xehanort shared some experience with "the player" reaching out to him in the same way ephemer did with sora in the war. Sora hasnt shared ephemers memories[...yet] the same way xehanort recalled "the player's"
I actually really like this theory. It would make that scene in KH3 were Ephemer's spirit visits Sora even cooler than it already is. Honestly, it wouldn't make me think less of Sora's character, if anything it would make me think more of Ephemer's character, even though Ephemer is already one of the cooler KH characters. I mean how many other people were a Union leader, wielded the Master Defender, and started a long lasting dynasty of keyblade wielders (besides maybe Brain :).
I sure hope not. As much as everything being connected is a great tagline, something like that would devalue Sora's accomplishments even more than they already are.
Thing is, I don't think the reincarnation stuff was added only Xehanort. Like, why him in particular ? I'd like to think that, since MOM already wrote the future events in his book, theres kind of a destiny thing going on here. A whole set of islands is named after that. So, do we really need Xehanort to be the reincarnation of the player except for the meta fan service ? Like "we were Xehanort all along" because we played X as the player. While Ephemer is just another PNJ in the story. If it was just for the wahoo effect, I think they could have explain Xehanort memories in a lot of different ways. Especially now that it seems he came from Scala in the first place. Why sent him away ? Why make him come back here ? I'm loving this twist and I can't wait to see what role it may play in Dark Road going further. But for me, if we accept that for Xehanort, it should work on Sora too. We humans can't accept coincidences. We need grounded reasons for what the world is what it is. So yeah, it feels weird that Sora is the one of the only character that has to ties to anything. Why was Ven heart attracted to Sora's ? Why did the keyblade chose him ? Why did the keyblades reacted to him in the second timeline ? I like this idea of a simple boy with no abilities having such a crucial role on the world around him. But I feel like KH is planting 2 opposite ideas that can't work together, the way I see it. So who knows, only time would tell.
I mean....ephemer is like....EXTREMELY concerning that he matches soras point of views and would explain why he appeared during soras most important time of need
I think people are missing a bigger picture. Keyblade wielders that reincarnate become A PART OF a brand new heart. A part. That is to say how many hearts make a new one? Could Sora be a reincarnation of many many keyblade wielders? Is that why the dream eaters love him? Kingdom Hearts, the kingdom key, Sora's necklace. Is Sora in actuality a personification of Kingdom Hearts? It's ruler? A prince? A prince of light? People are fighting for the point that Sora not being special is why he is special. But I propose that thinking is wrong. There are many things that make him special and they all must have their reasons. He's not your average joe. As much as people want him to be, he just isn't. His destiny and his journey are proof enough.
Well, it was stated by Ansem that they discovered an unknown heart, third heart resting within Sora. One was with him his entire life, the second one nearly as long. I believe the third heart belonged to Roxas, who grew a heart (unless I’m remembering incorrectly), and the second heart was obviously Ventus. What if the heart that is with Sora was Ephemer. Could explain why he was able to easily bond with the Dream Eater spirits as well. Could also explain why Ephemer appeared before Sora in the Graveyard as well. So, maybe not so much reincarnation as a vessel for Ephemer’s heart. Well, who knows with this game’s lore lol.
4:24 - 5:24 This is exactly what I was thinking and I don't think you could have said it any better. I think it's very similar to the intro of KHDR when Xehanort mentions that he feels like he is living the life of a different person in his dreams (the player). In our perspective, we are living the life of Xehanort and going through the same emotions and experiences that he goes through, even if we aren't actually controlling him or agreeing with some of his beliefs or actions. My speculation is that this is what Nomura was trying to aim for. By establishing an actual physical connection between the player and with a character such as Xehanort, you feel like you have a much more important role towards the story even if it's not actually your real self. I feel like the perfect representation of this is the cutscene with young Xehanort and MoM. Though MoM is talking to YX, the connection between player and Xehanort suggests to me that MoM is also talking to us as the player.
It's pretty interesting to think about All of the what ifs in this scenario Going against the reincarnation idea, I don't think it's too supported because if we look a xehanort in dark road, he had dreams to when he was the player A life that wasn't his own But sora never had dreams or memories from Union cross So I don't think the idea is supported much Although if it does happened to be true, It's even more heartbreaking to think about how a reincarnated ephemer had to fight reincarnated player
I agree with what you said about Sora not being the reincarnation of Ephimer because it doesn't really add that much more to the characters, and I don't think Ephimer could be Sora because the player character and all of the other keyblade wielders were given that choice because of the circumstances. Also, I'd like to point out that Ephimer didn't actually use his pod but it survived the break and protected him from the chaos so if he wanted to use it later to go find his friends then I don't see it as being to far off to believe he could still be alive and that's why we saw him in KH3.
If I remember this correctly sora was told in kh3 that there are 3 hearts that sleep within sora, that being ventus and roxas the third was never actually revealed. The only hint of the third heart that sleep was ephemer when he helped like come on it somewhat obvious to think that there connected. If ephemer was dead he wouldn't be able to show up like that, however there is another side of coin sora is not the reincarnate of ephemer but just resides in sora until he can get his own body to be there after the key blade war to help stop the master of masters and his plans a bit far fetched on that on however I do like the first one.
Ephemer the GOAT. Literally helped Sora against the Mother of Tornado Heartless after centuries of having passed on...cold probably be Sora but reincarnated.
Okay I find it funny that we have been revealed that reincarnation is a thing in Kingdom Hearts and the ad that started when I clicked on this video is a game from Square Enix called reincarnation
It would explain why Sora saw Ephemer in the Keyblade graveyard, and partly why Ven was drawn to Sora's infant heart. But along those lines, I think Eraqus may be Brain's reincarnation. Just simply because he responded to the same memory Xehanort did in Dark Road.
In the finale of union cross there is a certain scene that makes be believe that Skuld isn’t subject x at all. Right before the reveal that the player is xanort. The screen flashes white and we go to a sclera at acradem We see a woman with black hair walk out of the room holding baby xanort and everyone just notice the gray eyes and focuses on the baby. MISSING THE TRUTH OF THE SCENE! If you keep watching the girl and NOT BABY XANORT! you will see the woman’s eye change from gray to Amber or brown. Now who has black hair and Amber or brown eyes? SKULD!! And then as soon as she hands the baby off she has gray eyes again. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE FOR SKULD TO BE SUBJECT X! And SINCE SKULD’S location was revealed we need another character. And with the facts that Hearts can reincarnate and bodies can change. The truth that no ONE WANTS TO ACCEPT IS THAT ANYONE CAN BE SUBJECT X! Don’t believe it. WATCH THE FINALE AGAIN AND IGNORE THE BABY XANORT
it would make more since if eriquis was the reincarnation of ephemer because the two were friends, so it would make sense that there reincarnations become friends
I honestly would prefer ephemer reincarnating into is descendent Eraqus and would give a even stronger meaning to the ending of kh 3 where both friends are finally reunited, but that just me it make this scene feel a additional weight when you think ephemer didn't get to say goodbye, not just that but both having such a deeper connection/friendship would be just more wholesome but that my personal feeling.
Am I the only one that wouldn't be bothered if Sora is actually a reincarnation of Ephemer ? Like I get that people want Sora to just be a "normal boy" who "got good" with the Keyblade and made those connections with people because of his strong will/heart. But, what if he is a reincarnation, which is why these things though they may not come as 2nd nature, this could explain why he's able to be so good at it in general, like what if a reason why we haven't seen Sora's parents is maybe they have some sort of connection with the Union Leaders or Ephemer in particular which is why they are connected. What if Sora's connection to Ephemer was just severed until he reached a certain level like he is now or maybe Ephemer's spirit was just waiting for the right moment to come in and help him overcome a certain obstacle. All I'm saying is that it wouldn't be so far-fetched.
My personal Theory is that Ephemer's hearts has been reincarnated but not as Sora but as Eraqus. I don't have any evidente for that Idea it's just that I want to believe that the connection between the Players Hearts and Ephemer's was so strong that it even overcame death. That way the two had a sort of reunion.
So before the finale I thought it might be that Ephemer was still trapped in the digital daybreak town and all the keyblades that helped Sora were only the keyblades of the Dandilions also still trapped in the data world since after that scene those keyblades disappear but we still see the majority of the Keyblades are still in the Graveyard. The idea of Sora being Ephemer's reincarnation makes some sense like why is Sora at the center of everything well because he knows all the "players" he knows Ventus, Xehanort (player), is connected to Eraqus etc... Also this explains why Sora is the only Keyblade wielder that's not a former Nobody/Replica that can use a Keyblade without being bequeathed one. Again I get what your saying about this taking away from Sora, but it would be a clean way to explain all these connections. Also it kinda makes it ironic that Player Tricked Ephemer into killing them by pretending to be possessed by on the the lesser Six darkness's, then Xehanort who possibly is possessed by one the the Six lesser darkness's actually is killed by Sora.
I think Sora, Ephemer, Eraqus, Skuld and Xehanort are all related. Here's why I think that: Xehanort's mother looks like Skuld Ephemer has silver hair, Xehanort has silver hair the new hooded figure is most likely an aged Ephemer, Brain or possibly Ansem SoD Xehanort was send to a different timeline. Skuld and Ephemer then have another child, who has a child of their own and that child is Eraqus. Eraqus then has two sons and sends both away An old Xehanort finds one of these two, Vanitas while Sora ends up on Destiny Islands, where Xehanort's story began This is all to mirror Sora and Xehanort Both cast out as babies Both send to a new world Both keyblade wielders of great power Both descendants Both their hearts are linked to so many people I think it's safe to say that Sora becomes MoM after losing everyone Or, at least, "a" version of Sora. With the current version of Sora having to defeat his own future self, only to then become him
But, that got me thinking...Xehanort was defeated in KH3 meaning that does the Player(us), will be reborn or...? Plus I wonder what happened to Skuld? Cause is she really be Subject X like the reports from KH3 said? Man, there are so many things that need to be answered and it left all of us blown away
Honestly I will be really disappointed if Sora is his reincarnation. Sora should be Sora. Not a reincarnation, Sora. I love Sora for being WHO HE IS and not this naruto reincarnation nonsense.
I don't think sora is the reincarnation of ephemer since ephemer talked to sora and isnt it stated that his heart is in Sora after the keyblade graveyard event from the player profile? Melding I feel is more like some memories or feelings but you can't literally interact with the one you melded with. I am more willing to believe that ephemer is the ancestor of xehanort and maybe xehanorts mom is his descendant and gave xehanort away since she could have read the book of prophecies and was scared of what he would do. I also think the old man is brain who dies at the destiny islands after watching xehanort for a while but robbed ansem made sure his past self follows destiny's path as "you can't change whats destined to happen" and "one often meets their destiny in the path trying to avoid it"
I get why people don't like it because "he did all this stuff on his own" but like honestly, I hope it is canon that he is Ephemer's reincarnation, and I hope every other person in the crew learns about it. Maybe then they'll finally stop treating him like he's weak or absolutely stupid and actually take him seriously. Personally, I don't see how it takes anything away from Sora. Just because you're someone's next incarnation doesn't mean you're going to be the "best version" of them or you're some demi-god who got all your past incarnation's powers. If anything, it gives Sora a reason to have the confidence in himself that he so clearly lacks in KH3 and actually take his title of Keyblade Wielder (and in my opinion Keyblade Master for sure at this point) seriously. He carries a phenomenal legacy, and so far I think he's definitely lived up to it. But he's not Ephemer, he's Sora. He can keep going and go further than Ephemer did.
It’s funny at the dandelion meeting, Nomora stood back and was just laughing at himself when he saw all his players walking around being Xehanorts. Haha
It would be cool if Sora was Ephemer's reincarnation. But I feel that Sora is okay to be himself for now. Ephemer could be some kind of guiding key (see what I did there) to help Riku and Kairi find Sora.
Now that Xehanort is gone, I wonder if he'll choose to be reincarnated and form a new player (or perhaps a m/f selection like with FE3H/Pokemon with a canonical appearance but we can change their clothes and hair) with the memories of the previous player and Xehanort's memory via dreams. Even though it'll be a long time before they'll grow up, it could give the series a new direction if Nomura decides he's done with Sora's adventure and either does a big timeskip or give a convoluted way for the new player to age up quickly (or just brings the player back)
Skuld is either related to sora... Soras mom... or reincarnated into Sora... I think that's why Ephemer was willing to help Sora. Probably saw her in him...
Man I really hope that is not the case.....there are already theories about Sora being the reincarnation of the Master of Masters. So I really hope Sora isnt the reincarnation of *anyone* an the reason why I say that is because. Soras whole theme and character is all about ANYONE can be a hero. He wasn’t born special, the keyblade didn’t choose him, he’s just an ordinary boy who does the right thing. To show us the fans that yeah you don’t need to be born special or be the so called “chosen” one. Nomura was a genius when he gave that speech for Sora to say “I’m glad the keyblade didn’t choose me, I’m proud to be part of something bigger the people it did choose” Awesome line. So I really hope Nomura doesn’t ruin his character. By all of sudden making him born special after all....destined to prevail, no matter what because he’s the “one” an was the reincarnated MOM or Ephemear the whole time. it’s sooo much better If Soras character just continues as him being normal and just Sora.
I always thought Ephemere was had shown up because of Sora's strong heart. Not that he was reincarnated. I see Sora as his own character and Ephemere as his own character. And they had connected just like Sora and Ventus had connected. Their strong hearts.
it'd be weird considering Ephemer feels more like a distant ancestor of Eraquis and if Ephemer is able to build Scala/rebuild Keyblade masters its less likely he'd want to reincarnate and become sora.
I don’t know where this theory came from, but I have a hard time believing this. Plus, we never found out what happened to skuld and brain afterwards. A lot of people think skuld and x are the same person, but I’m still doubtful. There just isn’t enough proof.
I wouldn't be upset if Sora was a reincarnation of Ephemer but I agree with the points you made. As people would use that's why he's made it so far. I think it would be nice for Sora to be his own person, like he is currently. To keep watching him grow and make connections by himself to earn what he will be at the end.
I like the Sora=Ephemer thing cause it creates a tint of tragedy between Sora Vs. Xehanort. Best Friends who took on different forms unable to recognize each other
Just scared that something more happened to the player character. Nomura is known to throw curveballs at us, afterall for us to basically help set things up quite a bit, Im sure Nomura would play on that even more.
I think the better question should be is Strelitzia reincarnated as the nameless star? I mean when Strelitzia “died” her heart definitely did float away similar to how the players heart floated away. I think it’s possible ephemer is reincarnated Sora given what we have seen but the idea of every main character being reincarnated is just not a good look
Sora being his own makes more sense. He’s the only character who seems to be doing what he thinks his best not just what hes passed down to do. Sora gathers his strength from friends and actual practice and challenges
Totally agree. Maybe if they just say Ephemer chose Sora for a certain purpose. Sora should stay his own person!
exactly. people have this notion that a hero cant just be a hero, he needs a lineage to explain WHY he is what he is. he cant just get there through hard work and will power, he NEED to be the specialest chosen one that ever special.
Well the reincarnated mc from khux was nothing like xehanort so it’s possible but idk he might be someone else
Loved this comment need appreciation 💖
That's my take as well into reincarnation in KH. You not just reborn but you a free to be whoever you are, without your past life dictating the next one. There no carry over of Karma Normally from you former lifes. But I think in Xehanort case he not only inherited the Players heart but some of the Player ability because the circumstances of the Players reincarnation was VERY different to what would normally happen.
If you die and pass on, your heart is filtered through the Real Kingdom Hearts and is reborn with a fresh slate. But the Player was able to connect with his future self and know that he had another journey to fulfill.
He was reborn as Riku lol calling it
One more reason why I will always consider Xehanort to be his own entity.
@@mxjumper1234 that would've been far better. sora doesnt need to be special. if anything, it makes him more special, he got where he is through his own achievements.

I think the player becoming xehanort kinda detracts from xehanorts character as a whole
Especially cause he's just a regular kid that were in the right place in the right time
Right, I also got the feeling that Ephemer didn't start out "Special" either but rather his connections helped to build his strong heart. He was chosen because he proved he was strong not that his life was pre-ordained as well. ;)
The reason why Xeharnort could see darkness is that his former self the Player was was able to fight and hold it at bay. His heart remembered this and probably because he chose to be reincarnated instead of just going to Kingdom Hearts as he died. The Players choice means he had some control over his future.
I’d love to see how Marluxia, Larxene, Luxord, and Demyx became the nobodies they are
Well Luxu/Xigbar recruited them into the org so he might of done it himself for various reasons.
I’m more interested in demyx and Luxord they have done nothing to show any character developments in any of the games. They are just there.
@@millennialfriend5881 We know Luxord is tied to Yozsora and Quadradum, nothing about Demyx.
This is long over due... honestly
Judging by the timeline
Luriam and Elrena ended up in Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted dominion after BBS and before KH1 as both worlds haven't fallen to darkness.

Ephermer meeting Sora through time travel l, making a connection that will aid Sora in the future
This is more plausible then reincarnation.
Either way, the point stands that Sora’s connetion to past characters like MoM or Ephemer is definitely gonna be a major point in Phase 2. UX’s finale honestly made me A BIT more open to the idea of MoM being an alternate version of Sora.
I’m under the idea that darkness’s original body is somehow linked to sora
How do you figure this?
In soras dream sequence he ends up going against a giant darkness... could that he one of the 13 darkness in him

There is nothing normal about sora he literally turned back time and rewrote reality lol
Both Masters xehanort's and Sora each have a beginning story that is similar dreaming about memories station of Awakening to have interesting moments that they can explain but feel familiar to them but it doesn't take away like I said who they are
Sora is just a normal dude as explained by Nomura he isn't a reincarnation of anyone
Agreed. ^
Plus I think that helps improve Sora’s character since you have all these other characters that have back stories and now reincarnation.
Also, it would make sense that Player/Xehanort and Ephemer/Eraqus reincarnation makes better sense.
But you have Sora who is a no one and yet does and accomplish all these amazing ideas.
@@TacoLex I think Ephemer is Eraqus grandpa
@@TacoLex he isn't a reincarnation of anyone yet has a powerful connection to Kingdom Hearts and the Final World.
True, but Nomura also made Xehanort the reincarnation of the player so who knows what else might be going through his giga-brain?
Im so proud that Im - at least one of - the guy(s) who came up with this. Here's another bone to chew upon: Did you realised that Roxas's pendant is the refrence mark? And do you know what more can it mean, hmmmm? Fiction is no-existent, just like Nobodies.... In other words Nobodies can origante from Quadratum.
now the kh3 line from xehanort has a double meaning: "you know, you remember me of a friend i had".
My boi!!!! Love the video
Because anything is possible when you put your mind to it in this case the heart to it )
and you know what's crazy I made this quote yeah that's right from a normal EVERYDAY person and love this channel so much 💓💓💓💓😊
could be true considering ephemer was supposed to lock away one of the 13 darknesses in his heart, and his heart dissolving into soras would mean a darkness is locked in soras heart which could be the reason xehanort wanted him as a vessel so bad
Another thing that is important to mention is 'Fated Encounters' in my opinion Fated Encounters are for example the reunion of Brains descendant and the Players reincarnation and by once again reuniting making a new cycle.(Thats what i think Nomura wants to do)
Fated Encounters that we know:
-Sora - Marluxia - Larxene - Xehanort -Ventus -Eraqus -Luxu
so the thought occurred to you too. what if other characters were reincarnated as well?
my point of interest is directed at the nobodies specifically. how can they just regrow hearts? they're supposed to be devoid of both light and darkness- the two components of a heart.
what if their "regrown" hearts are "on loan", so to speak? their nature as nobodies prevents them from housing their own hearts, but they can house pre-existing hearts. and those hearts return to kingdom hearts upon their recompletion. however, nobodies who fight to become their own people "earn" the ownership of those reincarnated hearts. kinda similar to how sora earned the keyblade from riku. he persuaded kingdom key to change its mind about riku.
@@Yurikon3 *exactly*

I dont think sora is the reincarnation of ephemer maybe just a descendant of ephemer
Like grandpa
goku
It would explain why sora used the phrase May your heart be your guiding key
What no yen sid and goofy only said that and if he did he would have gotten it from them
I mean now that you think about it it would make sense if Sora is the reincarnation of Ephemer who has to fight Xehanort the reincarnation of the player character.
I feel like this would go into the idea of Destiny, Xehanort and Sora were destined to cross paths due to their past lives being best friends. Maybe Ephemer and Player Character were always destined to be part of each other’s lives no matter how.
I could see Sora being a reincarnation of Ephemera given how he helped Sora
That makes sense?

Nah just a strong enough connection through the dream eaters, ventus, Unironically xehanort, braig/brain/Luxu, Marly and Elreena with his nobody being connected in a sense to Skuld due to Lea and Isa trying to find her so it in a sense falls into place that the connection would be strong enough for ephemer to briefly appear with possibly the souls of the dream eaters/dandelions to defeat the tornado
@@Clippychinw good point
Your reincarnation critique is literally the definition of how naruto was handled
They should just make union x a full game, I ain’t playing the mobile game to find out what happened
@Barley What shadow? I’m saying Ephemer is dead by the time Brain shows up to Scala
Is there any other scenes shown in KH series to even support this theory?
@@millennialfriend5881 Not really, but as prodigy said in the video, it's fun to speculate about these sort of things.
I sure hope not. As much as everything being connected is a great tagline, something like that would devalue Sora's accomplishments even more than they already are.
not only that, but sora not being a "someone", also helps with him always being the wild card.
And honestly, being connected merely by some technicality starts to taste cheap.
Roxas, Xion and Ventus
It's pretty interesting to think about
All of the what ifs in this scenario
Going against the reincarnation idea, I don't think it's too supported because if we look a xehanort in dark road, he had dreams to when he was the player
A life that wasn't his own
But sora never had dreams or memories from Union cross
So I don't think the idea is supported much
Although if it does happened to be true, It's even more heartbreaking to think about how a reincarnated ephemer had to fight reincarnated player
I'm wondering if this "heart merging with another's" is the key to why some people create humanoid nobodies.
Ephemer the GOAT. Literally helped Sora against the Mother of Tornado Heartless after centuries of having passed on...cold probably be Sora but reincarnated.
No bcuz it goes against Nomura wanting Sora to be normal as possible but i think Ephemere is linked to Kairi though.
And you base this on??
@@millennialfriend5881 when Ephemere didn't appear till Kairi saved sora from disappearing
@@KingQuiso ok I can see that.
@@millennialfriend5881 also i know Nomura sometimes like to link characters via eye color. I think Kairi and Ephemere has the same eye color.
The screen flashes white and we go to a sclera at acradem
We see a woman with black hair walk out of the room holding baby xanort and everyone just notice the gray eyes and focuses on the baby.
Good theory points! I love your oc, very Carol/Tuesday vibes 😁
It makes sense how sora summoned him but that only means sora was influenced by both Ventus and ephemer at the same time
My personal Theory is that Ephemer's hearts has been reincarnated but not as Sora but as Eraqus.
Here's why I think that:
Xehanort's mother looks like Skuld
Ephemer has silver hair, Xehanort has silver hair
the new hooded figure is most likely an aged Ephemer, Brain or possibly Ansem SoD
Xehanort was send to a different timeline.
Skuld and Ephemer then have another child, who has a child of their own and that child is Eraqus.
Eraqus then has two sons and sends both away
An old Xehanort finds one of these two, Vanitas
while Sora ends up on Destiny Islands, where Xehanort's story began
This is all to mirror Sora and Xehanort
Both cast out as babies
Both send to a new world
Both keyblade wielders of great power
Both descendants
Both their hearts are linked to so many people
I think it's safe to say that Sora becomes MoM after losing everyone
Or, at least, "a" version of Sora.
I feel you on that man and I’m a Naruto Fan
I don't think sora is the reincarnation of ephemer since ephemer talked to sora and isnt it stated that his heart is in Sora after the keyblade graveyard event from the player profile? Melding I feel is more like some memories or feelings but you can't literally interact with the one you melded with. I am more willing to believe that ephemer is the ancestor of xehanort and maybe xehanorts mom is his descendant and gave xehanort away since she could have read the book of prophecies and was scared of what he would do. I also think the old man is brain who dies at the destiny islands after watching xehanort for a while but robbed ansem made sure his past self follows destiny's path as "you can't change whats destined to happen" and "one often meets their destiny in the path trying to avoid it"
Soo wild how 2years after kh3 the series is being hyped soo hard rn! I absolutely love it!
But MoM is still alive though, he never died. He just chillin' in Shibuya making some hearts with his hands
I always thought Ephemere was had shown up because of Sora's strong heart. Not that he was reincarnated. I see Sora as his own character and Ephemere as his own character. And they had connected just like Sora and Ventus had connected. Their strong hearts.
Considering Buddhism is big in Japan, having Reincarnation is honestly one of the less surprising things in the endings
it'd be weird considering Ephemer feels more like a distant ancestor of Eraquis and if Ephemer is able to build Scala/rebuild Keyblade masters its less likely he'd want to reincarnate and become sora.
I don’t know where this theory came from, but I have a hard time believing this. Plus, we never found out what happened to skuld and brain afterwards. A lot of people think skuld and x are the same person, but I’m still doubtful. There just isn’t enough proof.
Ephemer might be the third heart that resides in sora and that's the most believable theory right now
I wouldn't be upset if Sora was a reincarnation of Ephemer but I agree with the points you made.
