The servers are overloaded. It's a bit better than launch day but i have a noticeable decrease in streamed asset quality over 2020, this should resolve over time. A few plusses I appreciate are, much better overall physics: this is noticeable, I had FSRealistic to simulate things like bump sounds and turbulence feeling, but having it actually happening in the sim due to physical interactions really changes the feeling noticeably. Jury is still out on the ground clutter being more immersive, maybe it's streaming quality or just not that much better. Planes from 2020 generally all have issues, from landing lights that don't project, click spots that don't work or physics that feel strange, I feel like more work is needed to better integrate this.
I think I would have rathered a half a terabyte install size. At this point the streaming is just making the product not what was advertised and it puts a hard limit on the game's longevity as I'm sure they already can't wait to shut the servers down.
Giving people the choice would have been the best way I think, but I don't know how much complexity this would have added to the server infrastructure. My Internet is pretty bad and even if I dont have the space rn, i would have preffered to have the option to stream less.
50% of the time it's a loading simulator, the other 50% it's a crashing simulator(in game) Edit: Huuuge misunderstanding, I meant crashing my planes! Except the loadings the games runs just fine, sorry😅
It's funny because he said there is no loading at all from the main menu... But we need to wait 5-10 minutes to get to the menu (if we don't crash) -.-
There MUST be an option to download a section of the map for offload playing. That way you can always fly no matter what's going on with the servers. Its such an OBVIOUS idea.
Counter argument is that this would hammer the servers even more because more data is downloaded in a shorter timeframe. Also it raises the question when and if the downloaded data (cache) is invalidated or not. It's not as easy as it seems
12:30 this is definitely a glitch... It doesn't make any sense for a hot air balloon to collapse like that in a few seconds unless you get a pretty large hole in the envelope for some reason.
I only just managed to get to past the Customisation screen, to then find some of the customisation options completely invisible. Once I then got it working and eventually got to the flight planning screen, it crashed several times. I think I'll go back to the sim in December or January.

All consumer flight sims are games. If you can play it at a desk with any peripheral hardware you want, it's a game. Actual sims aren't fun and look terrible. This all depends on how you're defining sim of course. Ask a forum dad and he'll tell you his PMDG with $2k flight controls is a study level simulation, it's not. They're just trying to pretend they aren't playing a game. I've been a pilot for 23 years and played pc flight games the whole time... These are games.
FFSs are fun as hell if you don't have ready access to them. I've got a hell of a lot more time in real airplanes than in FFSs, and was VERY impressed with the 45 minutes I spent in a Level D, despite the looks of the thing. You better believe I'd be all over level D simulators if they were somehow readily available. I'm with you though in that I really don't follow the assigned virtue in "not a game" or "not having fun". Especially in the case of people who fly IRL for fun. If actual airplanes are allowed to be fun, why belabor the definition of "simulator"?
The game recommand 50 mb/s, so it's not a problem on our hand. I personally have 130+ mb/s and I don't think I crash because of that... During a flight, it's perfectly fine, it crash only when I finish my mission. Ps: Thanks for the free camera tips, it will be easier to find my house lol
The loading length isn’t an issue for me anymore. Couple minutes. Now just want them to polish a few things. Few menu options don’t work, like rolling cache location. Other planes in career mode doesn’t work. Few other glitches involving getting dinged for things it shouldn’t and not getting taught how to properly plan your route around prohibited airspace etc. overall tho it’s really good. Hope they polish it up and it will be amazing
I can’t even get it to work. Sometimes it won’t load and on the rare occasion it does load there is a red man in the cabin with me with his thumbs up, seriously!
Managed to get in for a short while last night and gave it a quick test in Snowdonia. Frame rates were pretty good, and VR performance was better for me than it is in 2020 - I didn't get anywhere near as many stutters. Hope that continues when I manage to get in again!
Probably more complicated than I'd think, but would be cool if there was the option to have a permanent beefy hard drive cache pre loaded for a planned flight path; have it be loading even over night
This game was released in as best as they could have tested it. They just weren’t prepared for literally everyone trying to download it at once. And the cloud has never been used on this scale before really
Wasnt ur GPU what cause problem. i have 3070 with 8gp and works fine. Prob it was only network issues at their end. Aaaand i recomend try it out in Xboxx game pass and then buy it if u like it.
I've purchased the game after watching everyone be unhappy how it initially went for a day, and am super impressed. Looks better but, at the same time, performace better too.
People will argue about game or sim until the cows load in, as everyone has different criteria about what qualifies, but compared to the other flight sim/games I play, the planes just feel completely unsatisfying to fly. Stall characteristics, landing and take off, the feeling of weight and flight, it all either feels very basic or downright wonky depending on the plane and situation. Like 2020, it seems it's nothing but a pretty virtual scenery viewer.
Happy so far , looking back since the early days 1980's , it's truly amazing how far we've come , you could argue all day long , is it a sim ? or not , makes no difference to me , if you like aviation , you'll probably like MSFS 2024 ,
Having a great time. Got my first license and flew a few flightseeing missions... People need to chill. This is the most ambitious flight simulator ever made with cutting edge streaming technologies. There's gonna be problems and solutions to those problems. Crying like a child will not help
It's a game and a sim, as sim is just a sub-genre of the games category. Inside the game itself, how much of a sim it is obviously depends on the settings you pick. Personally, I tend to go for a more chilled, flying around exploring but whatever suits what you want. As of this morning, UK servers are still poor for me but getting better. Using US ones gives a much better/smoother experience. When I am flying though, I'm loving it. It's smooth, a lot better visually, especially the lighting. Menus and settings are buggy but nothing game breaking for me so far.
i think it’s just as much of a game as msfs2020 is, the more sim like experience for 2020 came w the better planes, which i think will come w 2024 soon. however i don’t think those will be available for career mode (as of right now only default planes r available on career)
Keep in mind that speedtest use a web interface, the same used by a browser; MSFS use its own socket connection so whatever you measure there has no value to compare it with what MSFS is actually getting. As far as being a sim or a game, this is the best thing they could do, as gamifying the product brings in more people. If you just want the sim part it is still there for you to enjoy; but it does make it more accessible to people scared about the complexity of a sim or that wants a purpose that is not just "go somewhere and make up your own story". What disappoints so far is the fact that the game is virtually the same; I see not much improvements in the photogrammetry and the maps are in facts even older than 2020; as I fly around my place and see images from few years ago, while 2020 show newer maps. Hope they fix that and that the game get upgraded, but so far it is working good
Of course it has value, the speedtest is usually close to the upper bound you can get with your connection, which tends to be the limiting factor. It's just that in this case the limiting factor are their servers, not the client connections. The fact it uses other sockets is irrelevant, all TCP connections use sockets.
It tells you that the issue is not with your computer's internet connection in general, but with that one game in particular. The fact it uses a browser is irrelevant (unless the browser itself is the bottleneck, which cannot be the case here), the browser is using the same internet connection as the rest of your computer, including MSFS.
@@squishy-tomato There's also network prioritization and QOS. With typical speed test sites, your traffic is prioritized by your ISP so that your result is as high as possible. This is obviously in their best interest. It doesn't mean you'll get the same performance and bandwidth everywhere else.
The speedtest simply proves he has the overall bandwidth. It proves that it isn't his connection. Unnecessarily technical explanation. No need to invoke "sockets."
I just hope the flight dynamics are better. Msfs always feels like the aircraft is on rails. I usually just fly the A2A Comanche because that is the only one that feels real to me. Otherwise I use DCS world
Calm down everyone. They'll fix things over time, and iron out issues. 2020 didn't launch too well either and here you all are saying that was better. I absolutely love career mode and I am enjoying the game sim on series x.

That will likely be true but it's also missing the point. You wouldn't accept this with any other non-game purchase, so why would you for this. People don't need to calm down, they have every reason to complain.. It's your type of thinking that has led to game studios continuing to release unfinished, broken games. Having said that, once you're eventually in it's been great, very smooth even over photogrammetry cities and visually it's a big improvement IMO. There are a decent amount of bugs in the menus and settings but once flying I'm loving it.
I'm enjoying it, and looking forward to improvements. I'm not getting the low texture problem some people are reporting. Don't forget the Free Flight mode puts you right back in the FS world we always had. You don't have to use the gamier parts of the program. I won't really judge it for at least a month. Nothing today launches in a completely perfect state.
Imagine handing over 60-200 bucks amd saying "thanks for this broken product, I'm looking forward to it working later this year" its why they never improve or do better.
My guy you should judge it as it is now. Yes not everything is perfect right off the bat, but Microsoft chose to release a broken product and therefore it is acceptable to give it the criticism that it deserves. If Microsoft didn’t want this sort of feedback, then they shouldn’t have given us an unfinished program for money. Stop defending a multi-billion dollar company.
I have the opinion that anything that can be played with a controller of some sort that controls something on screen with threat of death failure or the possibility of success is a video game. Even Mario Teaches Typing is a video game. Encarta Encyclopedia 1995 is not. Yes it is a simulator, but a simulator is a game, at least in my opinion. Also in case people with worse internet than you have, I have a max download of 60 where as you had 400ish, my game runs like a hot knife through butter!
It looks disgusting honestly, a huge step back. There are a couple nice things but the bad far outweighs the good. FS 2020 will be staying on my pc for quite a long time. One thing is I wish they hadn't cut ties with Blackshark because these new buildings are hideous.
Lets all remember that its 2024 and no GAME ever again is going to launch at their best condition. They launch and THEN repair. Very common thing now. So just wait and it works fine after couple week/months
They are 2 separate games. 2020 was built on top of FSX, whilst 2024 was built from the ground up. It hasn't even been 3 days. Some of us are in it for the long haul.

I got my commercial license in game last night and i really enjoy the game there are many quality of life changes that should've been done to 2020 but i never bought 2020 I played through game pass on my pc. 24 is awsome although some of the airports are full of trees...
A small percentage of us have built home cockpits. I have been using X-Plane 12 as it is much more conducive to run multi-monitors. Fs 2020 was incredibly difficult to set up and operate. The user interface menu sat squarely behind my instrument panel. There didn't seem to be any way to move it to the left screen as you can in X-Plane. I have not seen it mentioned anywhere in a review about fs2024 that this has been fixed. Could you please address this for the multi-monitor crowd? Cheers!
on game pass, after some launch day issues of a login queue and some trouble loading in at the beginning, i’ve been able to play well ever since. no issues. i have heard that game pass is in a better state than steam may be why💯
Helicopters definitely need work for use with gamepad. With or without assists the helicopter just goes into uncommanded hard left bank with a gamepad for me atleast.
still can't overstress the plane without just getting crash message or falling out of the sky? not like IL-2 Strumovik where you actually can damage different parts like flaps, rudder ogr break a wing of, if you pressure the plane to hard
If ATC doesn't work properly, or you have to use third party addons to get a realistic flying experience, it's a game. Got caught like that with 2020. But hey, as long as there's plenty of bling...
I don't understand the logic of saying "if atc doesn't work it's a game". There are games out there with very complicated and interactive systems/ai. It just fails both as a sim and a game. Difference is that a game has a goal, a loop, a feeling of progression. This is why the career mode is a welcomed addition.
It's not a good look for Microsoft's cloud services, you'd have thought they'd have pulled out all the stops for the game's launch window. As you say, first impressions.
It runs at 25fps while not even using half of the gpu. Doesn’t have basic configs for popular flight controls. The camera system doesn’t return to pilot view. I like the EFB but doesn’t seem like the AP follows the gps. Gaming companies have to stop letting customers post for the pleasure to be alpha testers, it’s unethical.
Your ping and your upload speed matter a LOT too. Why upload matters? Because you have to request those packets somehow and ack that they were received... latency in those things matters.
I read the comments below and i am really wondering why the people are so negative. MSFS 2024 it is a new idea. It will fit some people and others they won’t like it. Normal stuff! There is still X-Plane which the hardcore simmers can use. I guess MSFS maybe targets another bigger audience. I read below for X-plane that it is better, MSFS 2020 is better etc. Stick with them then. Personally i decided to quit x-plane from the x-plane 11 and this because it was a sim with a lot of issues for me. Yes i had better physics but only this was better. For all the rest i had to spent huge amounts of money and energy to tweak everything. And tbh never i was pleased 100%. With MSFS 2020 i had other issues. Now i will try MSFS 2024. At least the money i am going to spend are much less than the ones i used to spend with x-plane. But this is just my choice and everyone has the right to do his choice too!
Just for your information. Seattle had one of the worst wind storms ever this past few days. Not sure where MS servers are but it may have had an impact on the data transfers. Just saying.......
It will all be worth it in the end, but of course it is a nuisance when you are looking forward to the simulator. But I experienced the same or comparable problems when starting up FS2020 and even FSX took me a long time to make it work and look the way I like it. I'll stick to FS2020 for the moment, but I will switch to FS2024 when all the bugs and concerns have been sorted. I hope that everyone who has bought the sim won't run into additional problems, have fun flying.
So glad I upgraded to a newer XBOX Just to not be able to play this game properly. What was the point of new gaming consoles if they can't even run their games properly? smh
False dichotomy, Mr Obsidian. Flight Simulator simulates flight for entertainment purposes. It is not strictly a simulator, but you could choose to play with it even if it was -- hardcore sim flyers seem to want a very high workload-to-fun ratio. Yes, it is a game but most of its rules and challenges arise from a medium-low simulation of flight. Most modern games feature simulations of all sorts of things. A game with a day/night cycle simulates the Sun's motion around the Earth. It doesn't stop being a simulation because it's greatly simplified or tweaked to the game's entertainment or challenge requirements. After decades of this debate, isn't it about time hardcore simmers stopped being pretentious about their hobby and mainstream players respect that people use flight sim for its training/education and that the fun they experience is coincidental...maybe even accidental.
Looks beautiful but no thanks. I rather be in control of when I want to use my flight sim without any further interruptions and have big brother being constantly connected to your sim. I prefer to face the challenge of disk space than to hand over my 70+ dollars to Microsoft cloud. This makes my choice of my next sim clear
My my friends and i have had virtually no problems. It took us 20min to start downloading and start flying. I have to thank God or something considering all I'm hearing are horror stories of poor performance.
Took three days to get into the main menu, everything either didn't work or load properly and I couldn't even fly. Similar issues with UK servers I think. I refunded it.
No FS224 for me, no thank you... I am still not sure if my purchase of FS2020 was a good idea. IFR flight with tower Interactions was far better in FSX.
I honestly like that it has moved a bit more in the way of a game. I think there are some very good sims available for the people who want to get a true to life experience. Microsoft has the resources to make a good experience that can bring new and casual users into the world of aviation and I think that is a good thing.
it is an arcade game, not a sim. no realistic FM to the aircraft and the helicopters. there is no damadge model and phisycs. there is no realistics simbology for the diferent AC, and no working cockpits for every AC specially the military ones.
I paid for the ENTIRE game, and I want it ALL on my drive. There HAS to be an option to download everything. I HATE this setup. Hardcore simmers will have 8TB dedicated drives. They are TRYING TOO HARD to fit all their Xbox crap into something that SHOULD be a serious sim and not a game, as it has become with all the Microsoft dallying that is RUINING this fantastic potential. PLEASE release two separate versions: one for Xbox, and one for PC, with all the assets downloaded to drive. PLEASE!!!!
I don't even know why Microsoft would even release it in such a buggy stage, It's absolutley horrible. Jetbridges not connected or floating, textures not loading, planes spawning within each other, cones floating, the list goes on and on. It is very annoying when you pay $90 for a game that has nice graphics but the quality of a mobile game.

I had giant green squares literally everywhere, was able to fly everywhere but it looked like a weird dream.

Same problem here. Speedtest is 845 Mbps. Got a Legion 5 Pro and running the game on medium specs

After the queue issue was resolved, I had no issues. No crashes last night during 3 hours of gameplay

I think the career mode makes it even be more sim by allowing you to use different aircraft to do different jobs they were built to do.
I got a refund . It was too frustrating. Don't think my 3080 was up to the task with 10fps

I think 90% of the issues people are having will be solved once they get the servers situated. Also remember the launch of 2020 was brutal as well.

If you just want the sim part it is still there for you to enjoy; but it does make it more accessible to people scared about the complexity of a sim or that wants a purpose that is not just "go somewhere and make up your own story".
What disappoints so far is the fact that the game is virtually the same; I see not much improvements in the photogrammetry and the maps are in facts even older than 2020; as I fly around my place and see images from few years ago, while 2020 show newer maps. Hope they fix that and that the game get upgraded, but so far it is working good

Of course it has value, the speedtest is usually close to the upper bound you can get with your connection, which tends to be the limiting factor. It's just that in this case the limiting factor are their servers, not the client connections. The fact it uses other sockets is irrelevant, all TCP connections use sockets.
It tells you that the issue is not with your computer's internet connection in general, but with that one game in particular. The fact it uses a browser is irrelevant (unless the browser itself is the bottleneck, which cannot be the case here), the browser is using the same internet connection as the rest of your computer, including MSFS.
@@squishy-tomato There's also network prioritization and QOS. With typical speed test sites, your traffic is prioritized by your ISP so that your result is as high as possible. This is obviously in their best interest. It doesn't mean you'll get the same performance and bandwidth everywhere else.
The speedtest simply proves he has the overall bandwidth. It proves that it isn't his connection. Unnecessarily technical explanation. No need to invoke "sockets."
I just hope the flight dynamics are better. Msfs always feels like the aircraft is on rails. I usually just fly the A2A Comanche because that is the only one that feels real to me.
Otherwise I use DCS world

Calm down everyone. They'll fix things over time, and iron out issues. 2020 didn't launch too well either and here you all are saying that was better. I absolutely love career mode and I am enjoying the game sim on series x.

2020 was working at launch it had glitches and some issues but it was never this bad. So no i refunded the sim and gave it a bad review.
That will likely be true but it's also missing the point. You wouldn't accept this with any other non-game purchase, so why would you for this. People don't need to calm down, they have every reason to complain.. It's your type of thinking that has led to game studios continuing to release unfinished, broken games.
Having said that, once you're eventually in it's been great, very smooth even over photogrammetry cities and visually it's a big improvement IMO. There are a decent amount of bugs in the menus and settings but once flying I'm loving it.

I'm enjoying it, and looking forward to improvements. I'm not getting the low texture problem some people are reporting. Don't forget the Free Flight mode puts you right back in the FS world we always had. You don't have to use the gamier parts of the program. I won't really judge it for at least a month. Nothing today launches in a completely perfect state.
Imagine handing over 60-200 bucks amd saying "thanks for this broken product, I'm looking forward to it working later this year" its why they never improve or do better.
My guy you should judge it as it is now. Yes not everything is perfect right off the bat, but Microsoft chose to release a broken product and therefore it is acceptable to give it the criticism that it deserves. If Microsoft didn’t want this sort of feedback, then they shouldn’t have given us an unfinished program for money. Stop defending a multi-billion dollar company.

I have the opinion that anything that can be played with a controller of some sort that controls something on screen with threat of death failure or the possibility of success is a video game.
Even Mario Teaches Typing is a video game. Encarta Encyclopedia 1995 is not. Yes it is a simulator, but a simulator is a game, at least in my opinion.
Also in case people with worse internet than you have, I have a max download of 60 where as you had 400ish, my game runs like a hot knife through butter!
It looks disgusting honestly, a huge step back. There are a couple nice things but the bad far outweighs the good. FS 2020 will be staying on my pc for quite a long time. One thing is I wish they hadn't cut ties with Blackshark because these new buildings are hideous.

Lets all remember that its 2024 and no GAME ever again is going to launch at their best condition. They launch and THEN repair. Very common thing now. So just wait and it works fine after couple week/months
I think the problem was the ping not the download speed. Maybe the error message is not as precises.

They are 2 separate games. 2020 was built on top of FSX, whilst 2024 was built from the ground up. It hasn't even been 3 days. Some of us are in it for the long haul.
I love the. “This game is unfinished” comment. The servers are overloaded and cant stream the data fast enough. This is very simple logic. And this is the exact same way FS2020 works. Hell it might even use the same servers.
I got my commercial license in game last night and i really enjoy the game there are many quality of life changes that should've been done to 2020 but i never bought 2020 I played through game pass on my pc. 24 is awsome although some of the airports are full of trees...
A small percentage of us have built home cockpits. I have been using X-Plane 12 as it is much more conducive to run multi-monitors. Fs 2020 was incredibly difficult to set up and operate. The user interface menu sat squarely behind my instrument panel. There didn't seem to be any way to move it to the left screen as you can in X-Plane. I have not seen it mentioned anywhere in a review about fs2024 that this has been fixed. Could you please address this for the multi-monitor crowd?

Spent 6 hours trying to free fly, didnt get into a plane once. Launch was a disaster
on game pass, after some launch day issues of a login queue and some trouble loading in at the beginning, i’ve been able to play well ever since. no issues. i have heard that game pass is in a better state than steam may be why💯
Helicopters definitely need work for use with gamepad. With or without assists the helicopter just goes into uncommanded hard left bank with a gamepad for me atleast.

If ATC doesn't work properly, or you have to use third party addons to get a realistic flying experience, it's a game. Got caught like that with 2020. But hey, as long as there's plenty of bling...

There are games out there with very complicated and interactive systems/ai.
It just fails both as a sim and a game.
Difference is that a game has a goal, a loop, a feeling of progression.
This is why the career mode is a welcomed addition.
It's not a good look for Microsoft's cloud services, you'd have thought they'd have pulled out all the stops for the game's launch window. As you say, first impressions.

It feels clunky. FS2020 runs way smoother when everything loads from SSD. I hope they release bunch of updates to fix this
Wish i could play these sims/games but never been good with the flying genre and my god remebering all the buttons, sequences etc.
You only get good at things by doing them.
It runs at 25fps while not even using half of the gpu. Doesn’t have basic configs for popular flight controls. The camera system doesn’t return to pilot view. I like the EFB but doesn’t seem like the AP follows the gps. Gaming companies have to stop letting customers post for the pleasure to be alpha testers, it’s unethical.
Your ping and your upload speed matter a LOT too. Why upload matters? Because you have to request those packets somehow and ack that they were received... latency in those things matters.

Texture are so slow loading. Its not fun for me. Have normal Internet Connection in Village. Its sad. I musst stay on 2020 sadly
I read the comments below and i am really wondering why the people are so negative. MSFS 2024 it is a new idea. It will fit some people and others they won’t like it. Normal stuff! There is still X-Plane which the hardcore simmers can use. I guess MSFS maybe targets another bigger audience. I read below for X-plane that it is better, MSFS 2020 is better etc. Stick with them then. Personally i decided to quit x-plane from the x-plane 11 and this because it was a sim with a lot of issues for me. Yes i had better physics but only this was better. For all the rest i had to spent huge amounts of money and energy to tweak everything. And tbh never i was pleased 100%. With MSFS 2020 i had other issues. Now i will try MSFS 2024. At least the money i am going to spend are much less than the ones i used to spend with x-plane. But this is just my choice and everyone has the right to do his choice too!
Just for your information. Seattle had one of the worst wind storms ever this past few days. Not sure where MS servers are but it may have had an impact on the data transfers. Just saying.......
It will all be worth it in the end, but of course it is a nuisance when you are looking forward to the simulator. But I experienced the same or comparable problems when starting up FS2020 and even FSX took me a long time to make it work and look the way I like it. I'll stick to FS2020 for the moment, but I will switch to FS2024 when all the bugs and concerns have been sorted. I hope that everyone who has bought the sim won't run into additional problems, have fun flying.

False dichotomy, Mr Obsidian. Flight Simulator simulates flight for entertainment purposes. It is not strictly a simulator, but you could choose to play with it even if it was -- hardcore sim flyers seem to want a very high workload-to-fun ratio. Yes, it is a game but most of its rules and challenges arise from a medium-low simulation of flight. Most modern games feature simulations of all sorts of things. A game with a day/night cycle simulates the Sun's motion around the Earth. It doesn't stop being a simulation because it's greatly simplified or tweaked to the game's entertainment or challenge requirements. After decades of this debate, isn't it about time hardcore simmers stopped being pretentious about their hobby and mainstream players respect that people use flight sim for its training/education and that the fun they experience is coincidental...maybe even accidental.
Looks beautiful but no thanks. I rather be in control of when I want to use my flight sim without any further interruptions and have big brother being constantly connected to your sim. I prefer to face the challenge of disk space than to hand over my 70+ dollars to Microsoft cloud. This makes my choice of my next sim clear
My my friends and i have had virtually no problems. It took us 20min to start downloading and start flying. I have to thank God or something considering all I'm hearing are horror stories of poor performance.

When I do manage to get into the air I think the flight model feels like MSFS did on release, feels a bit on rails and not very nice😢
Took three days to get into the main menu, everything either didn't work or load properly and I couldn't even fly. Similar issues with UK servers I think.
I refunded it.

I am still not sure if my purchase of FS2020 was a good idea. IFR flight with tower Interactions was far better in FSX.

I honestly like that it has moved a bit more in the way of a game. I think there are some very good sims available for the people who want to get a true to life experience. Microsoft has the resources to make a good experience that can bring new and casual users into the world of aviation and I think that is a good thing.
it is an arcade game, not a sim. no realistic FM to the aircraft and the helicopters. there is no damadge model and phisycs. there is no realistics simbology for the diferent AC, and no working cockpits for every AC specially the military ones.
I paid for the ENTIRE game, and I want it ALL on my drive. There HAS to be an option to download everything. I HATE this setup. Hardcore simmers will have 8TB dedicated drives. They are TRYING TOO HARD to fit all their Xbox crap into something that SHOULD be a serious sim and not a game, as it has become with all the Microsoft dallying that is RUINING this fantastic potential. PLEASE release two separate versions: one for Xbox, and one for PC, with all the assets downloaded to drive. PLEASE!!!!
It really does feel like a beta. They should have done more testing.
I still cant play properly on EU. however when i connect to the US using a VPN its working much better somehow. Maybe that helps someone here.

I don't even know why Microsoft would even release it in such a buggy stage, It's absolutley horrible. Jetbridges not connected or floating, textures not loading, planes spawning within each other, cones floating, the list goes on and on.
It is very annoying when you pay $90 for a game that has nice graphics but the quality of a mobile game.
