Okay... seriously... so I can make a long term decision on this phone investment... did you you really achieve this without any additional devices or filters and such? its immaculate.
Thank you for not cropping it on top and bottom. Everyone loves your video and agrees on its cinematic quality, including myself, which proves a point that many people, specially the newcomers need to understand; that anamorphic lenses and black bars have nothing to do with making a picture look "cinematic" or "more cinematic". Cinema started being "squared". When analogue squared TVs came out anyone could tell the difference between a movie, a tv show, the news, and home videos despite everything being presented in the same aspect ratio, and we still can tell to this date. Cropping a home video only makes it look like a cropped home video, cropping a tick tock video only makes it look like a cropped tick tock video, while a cropped frame of a film will always look like a film regardless its aspect ratio. So what makes the difference, specially now that digital formats are reaching film quality and everyone has access to them? Why people using the same equipment get drastically different results? Composition, angles, movement, subject, lighting, color or lack of color, those are the elements that makes something look cinematic. All of those are present in your video. By cropping it we would see 30% less of them.
Hey, thanks for you amazing comment! I`m 100% agree with you. People usually don`t understand what really makes the video cinematic. I blurred the image a bit, added a tiny bit of teal and orange hues and adjusted lights and shadows to my likings to make sure that I use maximum of available dynamic range (which is still very limited on Galaxy phones). Everything was shot in 8k with a high bitrate setting in Pro Video Mode to ensure the most "true" image I can get.
