For your boards inside the tractor what you need to do is wire in a hd30 plug and make adaptors for your equipment. That way you can simply plug in and unplug all the monitors and swap fast and easy. You can also buy quick change brackets from display bracket so you can use 1 mount and just swap the board on the mount.
Damn great to see you back. You're like the guy that dangles a bag of goodies and then says well maybe later...🤣. Honestly though, it's really good to see another video. Keep em coming..................
Hiya Grant from New Zealand. 8285r/8320r would be a good fit for you. Still manoeuvrable. In our country they are full spec with 2 speed PTO etc. European spec. Please get some hand cleaner for your cab to keep your controls steering wheel clean.
I have operated an 8310R multiple times and I can confirm that they are great but I would go for the one that has the rounded lights rather than the new LED ones
@@JamesLTyreeII yeah I recommend the r series sorry with leds. 320r was most reliable tractor in my 3 decades operating tractors. And a 1400metre draw distance from led headlamps was amazing at night.
Good deal for tillage and tile plow is either an 8530T or an 8370RT. Also we had that auto steer system on our planter tractor and it always made crooked lines. We put the new system in it and we love it
Hi Grant hope you are having a wonderfull day im currently a first year mechanic apprentice but you inspire me to become a farmer after my apprenticeship definitely will start a farm in Australia
It would leave you high and dry on a tile plow, but we run an 8400 and a 7810. Spray and plant with the 7810, and the 8400 is the work horse, tillage, grain cart, ect, maybe a similar set up would work for you!
Grant, im just gonna tell ya, if your basing what seed you're buying based off of yields, go ahead and order all dekalb. DKC95-95RIB and DKC68-35RIB are two hybrids that'll perform no matter where they're planted
Hey man I really like your vids and love what you do.i got to plant cotton for the first time this year and planted most of it I have always wanted to to go to Iowa to meet you and Cole the cornstar.but mostly just see Iowa,I think it is cool.😎
Grant definitely check out machinery Pete I think something like a 4440 or 4475 would help a lot with both you and Spence working out in the field during spring field work and if one goes out of commission for a while you have the other
Love watching the Gilbert bros videos because it makes me feel like I’m playing fs22 on No Mans Land map in a “rags to riches” type of series in real life.
Hi Grant. I have been watching your videos since fs17 i think. But wanted to say yeah that company definitely has a very handy system for rock collecting and if my memory serves me right the millennial farmer mr Zach uses their services and im quite impressed bye just how well it works that company gets 10/10 rating from me
I would suggest a 9300 or 9400. Will be perfect for your tillage, won’t be able to run tile without at least 500. I would plant and spray with the 8110.
A John Deere 9200 would be 👌👌we have one and we use it on the deep ripper and it does just fine I’ve also seen a lot of people pull a tile plow with it
I know the tractor shuffle. My main/big tractor is a JD 8210. We have an old 4230, but it needs a lot of attention. That one stayed parked for this planting season. We're wanting another 8000 series JD, but that's gonna have to wait a couple years. This is our third year farming on our own, so our priorities are in different spots right now. We're hoping to have our 4230 and our sprayer fixed for next year. Fingers crossed
Hey man I was talking with my uncle and his dad who have been farming there whole lives I believe my uncle is 5-6th generation but either way I was talking to them about powerful well rounded tractors and one the came up was a JD 9220 or 9230 4 wheel drive with narrows and a pto but prices are a big factor, just a thought thanks for the great content
I need to go back and see what I've missed. Ok so planted, sprayed 20 gallon of 32% (60ish #s N) and pre-emerge, then spread dry sulfur. Depending on the co-op and rate wanted could you have had them add in some thio-sol to the 32%? As long as you don't need roundup control you can do that also. I was a commercial applicator a few years back for a number of years and I sprayed almost all spring 28 & 32% with Thio-sol. If they'd give us back our higher sulfur diesel we would have some. (our sulfur was always yellow). The coop guy should have set that spreader for you based on #s wanted and the specific density of the sulfur loaded so ya your only issue should've been fighting the wind and the direction. Well and a co-ops usual lack of maintainence on those machines due to constant use.
You should look at some think like a John deere 8030 series you can get it between 200 to 300 hp and its a good tractor that has a lot of weight another great vlog from Grant! I play Farm sim never farmed in irl but grant has helped me to when im older buy a farm somewhere closer to my family in North Yorkshire, UK. Thanks....
Hi we live in Mexico and we just finisch up this week of harvesting witer weat and now we will plant sorgum and we to have cotten last year we to had 160 acres of corn but this year not.
For Soys- Stine beans. If you plant Enlist you use a Stine bean in some way shape or form. if you shop around you can find a deal local coop had naked soybeans for 1/2 of any other brands corn I have had luck with most. just whomever gives you the best service gets the sale in my book
Love the videos man I'm doing a fs22 series where I can only use the equipment you and your brother have but I'm on console so I don't have the best options
How old is this video. I noticed that you are wearing a coat and sweater. Just curious. Upper 90s and triple digits here in Eastern NC. Love your content
Dear Grant, me and my broter going to The Farm Progress Show(27-29 Aug. 2024) to learning No Till farming. We live and farming (sweetcorn seed, phacelia seed, pumpkin seed, durum wheat, sweet pea seed, {7810 USA version, 750A seeder European verson}) in eastern Europe and here not so much tradition no tilligae technolohies. My brother organizes the trip, we visit Kinze, John deere factory, Claas Ohama and Progress Show. Me and my brother special would like to see a classic American Farmer like you and your farm, so my question is may possible to see your farm. Sorry my easy english and waitning your answer. Br, another farmer
Grants needs to try to but another tractor so there not hooking and unhooking all the time so there so two people can be going at one getting more done.
We need more regular videos
I know the previous tenant of the new farm, good family and neighbors. They buried a 4wd in the big wet spot of that farm a few years ago.
Yes! Have talked to the Tenant! Seemed like a good guy and good family!!
Def sits wet down there!! Already replanted it once this year👍

That's such a beautiful site in a field at the end of the day and sun going down! It doesn't get any better than that 🙏🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Damn great to see you back. You're like the guy that dangles a bag of goodies and then says well maybe later...🤣. Honestly though, it's really good to see another video. Keep em coming..................
I think an late 2000s 8345R would be right up your alley since I know you love those tractors
Hiya Grant from New Zealand.

Grant here are 2 tractors my family has on our farm and we loving using our John Deere 7420 and John Deere 4430
Good deal for tillage and tile plow is either an 8530T or an 8370RT. Also we had that auto steer system on our planter tractor and it always made crooked lines. We put the new system in it and we love it

Thanks Man! Good luck on the 1st year!
Congrats on the new farm.

I think the best bang for your buck is like a 4840 or 4640 even though it probably wouldn’t pull a tile plow
I love Grant and Spencer videos I'm from Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil🇧🇷
You should get a 7810 or 47/4955. Keep up the great work.
Wholesome content well done guys.
Hey man I really like your vids and love what you do.i got to plant cotton for the first time this year and planted most of it I have always wanted to to go to Iowa to meet you and Cole the cornstar.but mostly just see Iowa,I think it is cool.😎
Always a good day when squad posts!
We have a 7600 and it’s a great tractor
Love the content

Would you ever think of running your planter/sprayer through iso onto the jd monitor to save on cab clutter ect?
I think Grant should get a 4955 or a 4960 🙂 great video Grant keep up the great work man. Hard work and dedication brother 😎
Here in SE Minnesota we got over 6” of rain
WAIT I USED TO WATCH THIS GUY PLAY FARMING SIM 19. honestly his voice is pretty good
Who else is excited to see how the hybrid plot does?
I think something like a 4960 would be great, I know it's not gonna pull a tile plow but it's pretty much another 8110 if not more
Hey Grant, any recommendations on an affordable gaming pc to play farm simulator and American Farming on? Thanks man.
Hi we live in Mexico and we just finisch up this week of harvesting witer weat and now we will plant sorgum and we to have cotten last year we to had 160 acres of corn but this year not.
Good job Grant! like the vids
Been waiting for this fr 🙏
Daaam farming simulator has come a long wayy
Grant I have a question I’m curious about why do you do corn on corn when you could do crop rotation to get the extra stuff from that
Just go with a 7810 the best tractor of all Time 🤘🏽🚜🤠
For Soys- Stine beans. If you plant Enlist you use a Stine bean in some way shape or form. if you shop around you can find a deal local coop had naked soybeans for 1/2 of any other brands corn I have had luck with most. just whomever gives you the best service gets the sale in my book
hey Grant did you find place to build a new Machine shed yet??
Not yet!! Still looking!
Is there a farm tour yet?
We need more videos please
That looks like an excellent field, why did he sell it?
Family’s got an 8400 and 8300 that will come up for sale this fall.
Love the videos man I'm doing a fs22 series where I can only use the equipment you and your brother have but I'm on console so I don't have the best options
“3:28” I had a little accident don’t ask about that 😂
He’s just so excited to be planting corn this year!!!!
Terraclear seems to be getting around to everywhere.
We cover alot of ground.
Are you going to try again for a food plot for white tale deer
Any update on the corn head rebuild? Perhaps a later series sound gaurd or another early 8000 series tractor to increase efficiency?
Yes! Have a neighbor who's going to help us rebuild it this summer! Should be good to go for fall!
A JD 7920 would be a good tractor to have
Hey Grant, when you get another tractor what are you thinking about getting?
For your new tractor look at a 7000 ten series John Deere tractors
How much feat is your disk?
How old is this video. I noticed that you are wearing a coat and sweater. Just curious. Upper 90s and triple digits here in Eastern NC. Love your content
Get yourself a 8320RT or a 9430T great reliable tractors.
Get a challenger a,b,or c series on tracks

Grants needs to try to but another tractor so there not hooking and unhooking all the time so there so two people can be going at one getting more done.
You have a toolbox on the top step of that tractor
What you are just playing corn now owes is Arely 2f tall planted it the start of the month
I personally think a john deere 7810 would be a good tractor
9RX 😂
In all seriousness though - much like the 8110, maybe buy an 8200 or 8300? Would be similar and multipurpose.
When Spencer broke the rope you were not screwed you could have took off the cover for the rope and put a cordless drill on the bolt in the middle
Have you tried champion seed
Do you own those bins there
What brand are the lights on the 8110?
Larson Lights!
Love your videos Grant! Where are u located in Iowa?
Are you still above water?
Did anything happen with the stolen Dully
You should get a cash ih puma out ranch has one and it has never broken down in 14 years
You should get a case Mx240 or 270
John deere 8760?
When is the next one?
how much acres do you farm?
You should give your 8110 a big brother... a CaseIH Magnum!...lol j/k I know you're a JD guy...have you considered an 8970 Ford NH?
What is that app on the second screen?
Hello from Australia grant
Have you ever considered tying 4 4020s together to make a 16,080? Might be something to think about.
Honestly not a bad idea! I have a neighbor with one. He's for sure down---- Hugeeeee 4020 guy! just need to find 2 more!😂
#4020Gang
