That way the smaller bags can be used to carry items or to hand off to another person easy. Maybe you guys can also sell said pockets separately like the medical items. Yeah I payed around 600 dollars for this 600 but you’re paying for everything in one place… But you could just get everything separately save money I’ve added hundreds of dollars Of extra gear years later Gear it out what you want it for Like I’ve added Tarp, whistle, compass 🧭, hygiene kit , blankets, fire kit , blankets, snare wire, fishing kit, Just to name a few I mean 600 dollars but no compass 🧭 or saw ?? Or poncho?? It's a "go bag", so you grab it when you need it and to get to safety. Put this in your car and/or put it at your front door so you can grab it in an evacuation or fire, etc. If you know you'll be out then I'd keep it on me. Yeah it sucks to carry another 15 pounds to hike/ski/trek, but it's better than not being prepared for the worst when you get lost or caught in a storm. For me the shovel and whistle are huge in an avalanche risky area. Also check expiration dates and keep tabs on them so you can replace when necessary (eg sunscreen, first aid kits)
