Today, we talk about Nikocado Avocado, controversial Mukbang RUclipsr who films himself eating food while causing a ton of drama along the way. As weird as the dude is, I sympathize with him. When I stopped using drugs, binge eating became an addiction for me as well. I hope that he finds some sort of solace or support

As someone who also plays violin, I think Nik really should have stuck to violin covers. He was actually really good at it, I didn't even know he played violin until a year ago and I was shook when I heard him play, I had NOT been expecting him to actually be decent at it. I get that the crazy mukbangs might have gotten him his big fanbase due to all the drama, but I think even if the violin covers didn't have that element of drama, he still had something going in that area and I think he would be a lot happier. It could be the personality he puts on for the camera, but he obviously doesn't look happy when he's having a breakdown on camera. Plus, the amount of weight he's put on from all those mukbangs is clearly unhealthy. He could be a lot healthier, happier, and still have something going for him if he stuck with violin covers.
it hurt a little bit to hear him say "they already hate me" "they like it when i cry" and i just wish someone would tell him, nobody hates nick, they hate what nick has become. he really needs to take back control of his life RIGHT NOW or he is literally as good as dead
Nikocado's story is probably one of the most depressing, how he went from a seemingly normal dude with a parrot and a violin, to someone who stuffs his face with an unhealthy amount of food
It is sad, but Nick knows what he's doing. He says he's gonna go on a diet and he's eating healthy one day then the next he's back to his old junk food eating mukbangs. I'm sorry but it's gotten to he just doesn't care anymore, as long as he's getting money and views he'll eat himself to death.

He wasn’t healthy. When he was skinny he had an eating disorder. He wasn’t happy, was broke, and was sick. At least now he’s a litttle happy. People really judge fat people nowadays and believe they are destroyed. If he wants to eat, and not become vegan anymore, let him. He still is a classy, sweet guy. It’s just his internet persona. People only care about him but not the mukbangers who are skinny. I think this is another reason to fatshame imo. Now he has another eating disorder. None of you guys fat shaming him are gonna change him, all you guys are doing is giving him more clicks to entertain and make him keep doing it for money.

The reason mukbang became popular in Korea is that when people were alone, they didn't have anyone to eat with. In Korean culture, eating is a very social thing so if you ever didnt have anyone to eat with, this was an alternative. Then America just uses it as an excuse to gorge themselves.
Yes, and it's sad. I'm American, and I just hate that when our people just gets something in their hands they just abuse the hell out of it. Either it be rights, guns, electronics, land, power, health, education, drugs, money, food, and even people. Mukbang, was created for a purpose, I'm sure, and I know that the Koreans didn't mind the Americans picking up on it, but it has really done something to an already obese America
@@seanbrummfield448 yeah I'm also American but I live in South Korea and it is taken so much differently here. Not many people do mukbangs so they go eat with people when they can. If they ever do a mukbang, they never stuff themselves to the limit, they just eat modestly.

They go to work it off, or take a few days off and consume smaller and healthier meals before having a big one again. Unlike in the US where most mukbangers or just average citizens just don't do that.

I feel genuinely saddened seeing his descent into morbidity. You can tell he started doing extreme theatrical mukbangs and putting on a few extra pounds for shits and giggles (and to pay the bills) but now hes dug a whole he can't get out of. Its so sick because anytime a celebrity meets their downfall it becomes quite the spectacle to gawk over, which only further enables the self-depricating behavior. Raw vegan or obese fast food mukbanger- either eschelon of the spectrum is insanely unhealthy. I hope one day he realizes his life is worth more than a trending video and can seek help.

Honestly, anyone can say they have mental disabilities to help gain attention. He’s always talking about receipts to prove himself so he should provide us some actual documentation without loosely stating this claim. He’s already proven to be a perpetual liar and manipulator so it’s hard to trust anything existing his mouth. Is the situation still said? Yes.

Thank you so much for how you handled this. I have struggled a lot with eating disorders my whole life and many people resort to constant fat jokes towards Nickocado. Like I can understand why people may not like him as a person, but we focus on the mental health/eating disorder part of his weight and not resort to problematic fat jokes.

On the “why watch mukbangs” topic: I’m nauseous 80% of the time from extreme anxiety and eating food is really hard and can even make me throw up. Watching other people eat and enjoy the food I’m about to eat, helps the food become more appetizing to me and just makes it easier for me to eat.

As a healthcare professional, it's truly sad to watch the guy slowly kill himself for money basically. He's found a niche and is going balls deep. I have seen it thousands of times with addicts, the body is screaming "please stop" but the mind says "screw it, keep going". And the mind always wins the argument. He seriously needs help before it's too late but he shows one of the classic signs of addiction... it's not his fault, it's everyone else. Until he realises no one is holding a gun to his head making him eat tons of crap and go uber dramatic, there's no hope. First step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem.

As someone with a binge eating disorder, my heart goes out to him. I doubt you are reading this Nick but please get some help. You are a great guy who has so much to live for, we will all support you
He really traumatized someone by being emotionally abusive to her it's sad
I have started to think that I might have this eating disorder because whenever something good/tasty food is made at home I can never stop eating it until my stomach starts to hurt and I stress eat as well. I always get urges to find food to eat all the time even when I'm full. I surprisingly haven't gained weight yet but I'm worried if this kept on going like this I start to put on weight but for now I'm skinny so my family is encouraging me to eat even more food but I really really hope this doesn't turn into something I can't control in the future.
To be honest I used to watch his mukbangs when i was really struggling with anorexia. My mind was only about food all day and all night, and i would watch hours and hours of him eating all the foods i was not allowing myself to have. Also when i was really down i would legit watch the videos where he cries just to have an external emotional input and cry too. I don't know if all of his viewers are in the same mindset that the one i was, but yeah, watching his video was definitely a big part of my own ED and since recovery i can not stand watching a single mukbang video.

When I was struggling with food, I would watch mukbangs of every food I deprived myself of or wished to have. It was pretty miserable, but I still watch a mukbang once in a while.

I was headed down this path, i weighed 250lbs last year eating literally until my stomach physically hurt otherwise my satiation just wouldnt be satisfied. Had a reality check when i ran out of breathe after showering and i always avoided mirrors and pictures due to the reality they showed and i just did not want to view or face it in any way shape or form just basically in denial and hiding.
Guys if you're obese/morbidly obese/overweight and feel awful then don't give up you can lose weight if you want to. If you feel good then don't lose the weight, but if you're hating it then by all means please start its never too late. As of Today im weighing in at 132lbs from my Initial weight of 250lbs in may 2020. I still eat like a normal person i have cheat meals too, hell i even had a cheat week 2 weeks ago. It's all about balance.
im 18 and 250 lbs and i don’t see any escape. i empathize with nik. im not that fucked, but in many ways i can relate. my thyroid problems are a roadblock into losing weight like a normal person and i don’t do that much exercise. i have binge eating disorder too.. i wish i wasn’t 250lbs, i wish i was 180. but i’ll probably kms if i can’t get this off me
@@hanabi64 I just binge ate the other day 6k calories it was unplanned and i feel awful so i know the struggle with binging even after losing all the weight i can still eat the same amount i ate at 250lbs.
But hey it's not too late you're 18! you're growing your metabolism is still in its prime. Take this chance to grab ahold of your life. It's seriously not too late i lost the weight with no cardio or exercise i legit played runescape and dieted thats it and im 29.

It’s so bizarre to me as I’m someone who is seriously underweight. I simply cannot find the time to eat through out the day as I do not prioritize it. So when I hear about others who have an over-eating habit, I just think: how? As a polar opposite, we do have similarities in how we have to help ourselves through discipline. I'm not morbidly obese but I'm about 50-60 pounds overweight in my age group and have been trying to lose weight since May as well, but so far it hasn't made a noticeable difference. I do 30 situps 30 knee pushups and 30 squats everyday, but nothings really changed. I just want t ask how did u lose over 100 pounds in just 3 months?
I think one of the things that people don’t realise though is that even in his vegan days he was not completely healthy or happy because he has mentioned before how whilst the raw food diet was healthier than his diet now,it was still unhealthy because it was not sustainable and he was just eating huge amounts of raw fruit and veggies which whilst it sounds healthy it will make people low energy if that’s all they eat. Also in Columbia him and Orlin lived in bad conditions and that’s probably why he doesn’t stop the mukbangs because he doesn’t want to go back to that and the addiction has taken over.

Maybe it started that way with the mukbang but now it's most likely just for views. Either way it's tragic
when you go on a vegan diet it's generally good to discuss it with a dietician before committing so you don't accidentally starve yourself

These diets are all bullshit. Eat your share of a little bit of everything, and you’ll feel like a million bucks. Our teeth are designed to cut through just about anything the world has to offer. Eating raw food is also not completely healthy because first off you don’t lose a lot of nutrients by cooking them, our digestive system is not able to use all of that energy if it is not cooked, and lastly you lower your chances of developing kidney stones by a great margin because raw veggies contain lots of oxalates.

When I got all my wisdom teeth removed,, it really was tough💀💀 I couldnt even eat the soup I was given because I absolutely hated the texture. Just ended up eating cup of noodles when I could, and yogurt😭😭

This is one of the most depressing and sad transformations I've ever seen of a person before. He evolved from this sweet and awesome guy to this ball of health issues and mental issues. It's terribly sad really. I hope Nik gets the help he needs soon because time is running out.
