Just did my first workout on this trainer. One hour and a half. Worked up a good sweat for sure Wow! Great road feel. Smooth and quiet. Love the resistance dial. You can really feel the resistance change. I was able to push some decent watts on level 5 and 6. Level 3 and 4 felt most like a typical road ride outdoors on relative flat terrain. Used level 6 to simulate a good climb. Used level 2 for my cool down spin last 10 minutes. I was able to get a great workout. Amazing trainer for the money. Seems well constructed and engineered. Quick and easy setup. I have never used a magnetic this good. So happy I didn't order that $300 Tacx Boost. Can't imagine it being much better than this $100 Sportneer. Thanks for the review! Happy new owner here. No more excuses to miss workouts due to cold windy weather or rain or darkness.
I just got mine today from Amazon. Quick delivery. It works great but my god is it noisey. I went through review after review on Amazon and i swear the people saying it's quiet must be fake reviewers. Idk. Anyways i do love it!!! Really works great. I have it set up in my garage. I'll just listen to music while using it. Love your video though. It helped me set it up properly. My bike skewer was on the wrong side for this so i had to switch it over and your vid showed me the proper way. Thx again!
Glad you found the video helpful. As for noise, a lot of it depends on the tire you use. You can always get a trainer specific tire if you have a road bike. But if you have a wider tire, you will hear more noise from the tire.
I have the sportneer fluid trainer, I've had this one for almost 3 years. I use it a LOT. This is a great piece of training equipment. Just take care of it. It'll last forever. Mine is not noisy at all. It's actually pretty quiet.
Thank you a million times. This is probably the best video on RUclips, maybe even in the entire world for someone just getting into cycling and had questions on an indoor trainer. 👌
I bought this trainer from Amazon, cant really complain about it for a non smart trainer. I would suggest a trainer tire though, ate through my regular tire pretty quickly.
@@maryalycemanners1186 I think this is what it is now called. Sportneer Bike Trainer Stand Steel Bicycle Exercise Magnetic Stand with Noise Reduction Wheel
Same on mine. Did the trainer tire do any better? I figure it's the heat from the magnetic device to the roller that resulted the fast wear in my regular tire.
During your heavy intervals, what rpm and watts are you pushing? I need to go to 150 rpm to reach 650 watts in resistance 6 with my bike in the highest gear, which is terrible. on a stages studio+ bike I can go o 900W with 120 rpm, which is a much more satisfying experience.
Does it come with a front tire brace for the floor? Also, will this work with cruiser bikes & mountain bikes… would the cruiser tires be better on this trainer?
I bought a cheap cruiser bike at walmart, would this work ok with it? I am not looking to do any races or anything big at all. I just want to be able to use it in the colder weather. Thank you for this review, it really helped so much!
I have a single speed bike and no room or money to spend on a road bike as of now. Would a single speed work with this setup for swift? I mean I just wanna have some fun and burn some calories. curious to hear your thoughts.
You need to tighten the knob until it touches the wheel. Then add two to three more turns. You know you have the right tension if you grab the wheel with one hand and spin it real quick. It shouldn’t slip.
I have a quarq power meter on my bike. What is my best classic or fluid trainer to get onto zwift ? I can't buy a smart trainer right now so was wondering how I could use the quarq power meter with a budget trainer . Thanx
I hope people do not go with the reviews on Amazon or other websites. Like this Sportneer has only C grade more than half of reviews has been adjusted or removed to make look product better.
Hard to tell without knowing the specifics about the bike itself. I would reach out to Sportneer for bike compatibility questions and they should be able to check measurements and rear hub type.
dafuq 93$ ?!!!! how can this be worth 93$ ? there so manny similair products for 50/60$ mark on the market those "feet height adjusting things) cant be worth 30+$ value

I was looking at this trainer and hoped to find a good review. Your review provided exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
If you want good power readings for Zwift put it in level 4 on lever. Level 1 is for descending... like -4 to -3 on smart trainers
I'm thinking of getting this. Thsnks for the video review.

Can’t find it on amazon please advise

it looks to be $149.00 now

Annnnnd I just bought one, “Used - Very Good” $95.68 total 🚴♂️ Thanks, man, great vid 👍
Hey Arby, are u still happy with it? And is it reasonably quiet?
I think you could do more reviews for cheap products like these
that would be nice.
Good review thanks. Cool! I thought I couldn’t use zwift with this low cost one. Awesome!
Thanks. Very informative for a beginner, like myself.
Helpful review and thanks for the Zwift info.
Thank you for the extremely candid review. Extremely helpful
price for this item at Amazon is now $238.00
Instead I decided to get a dedicated indoor exercise cycle for about $300.
Useful review - I will look at your other ones to compare.
Tariq you are incredible. Love watching your reviews.
Glad you are enjoying the content. Thank you 🙏
Great review. Only wish you could come to my home and show me all your skills! Nice job.
Chuckle, the Cyclops also had an Amazon Choice badge on the page
I’m just trying to lose weight during this covid-19 bs
Same? Do you like it? Does it shred your tire? I just ordered it
@@jackjackthompson5771 how do you like it? any thoughts?
I upgraded from a mag trainer that had 5 settings to a fluid trainer. The fluid trainer has more resistance than the mag trainer and A LOT quieter!
Which one did you get?
Thank you for the review
You are welcome
Not sure if it's because demand has picked up for this but I can't find $90 at all. The first selection is $139.99
i can't find ANY of them under Sportneer.
Prices went up. Incp canada its at 230 but Canada always more expensive so like 160 USd or so
Hello. Great video. Very informative. I was wondering if you could suggest pretty decent trainer that would cost in between 300 and $400? Thank you

Does a thru axle adaptator exist for disc road bike ??
Nice video ! Didn't know I could use this one with Zwift !
How does the Sportneer compare to the Kurt Kinetic?
my bike doesn't have quick release liver how i use this bike trainer on my bike please help
I wonder why Zwift does not support this trainer since it's the best seller on Amazon???
i have older bike with thru bots and nuts. will this work without the skewer hassle?
I don't know what the price of the black is because they are out but the red isnt $92.99, it is $258.
Maybe you answered this somewhere else. What is the best bmx bike trainer?
Is the trainer suitable with mountain bike ?
Does it come with a front tire brace for the floor? Also, will this work with cruiser bikes & mountain bikes… would the cruiser tires be better on this trainer?
Hi there great video !!
I have a question about it,Can I use a 23 inch wheel bike on this training stand?
thanks
It should fit but I would double check with them just to be safe. Amazon return policy is solid so you can also try it to see if it works.
@@SmartBikeTrainers ok ,thanks for you prompt reply!!!
4:10 You refer to; _a lot of _*_other fluid_*_ trainers_ but your Amazon link is to a magnetic trainer.
Right, I was comparing ride feel to other fluid trainers. This one is a magnetic trainer not fluid.
@@SmartBikeTrainers Sportneer does have a fluid trainer now. I am interested in one but can't find a review on them yet.
That threaded bolt isn’t long enough for my bike tire
What about the Sportneer Fluid Trainer?
I didn’t have a chance to test the fluid version.
seeing lots of reviews on youtube for the fluid version - also Amazon has it for 2x what this one costs (if you can get it) at about $190
I have a Marlin 5. Will this trainer work?
Thanks!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Great points you mention. how is it holding up for you?
Good video. At 6 level resistance the % slope is about ? Thank
Not sure. Didn’t find any information on that.
Do I have to have a Quick Release Axle to connect?
I bought a cheap cruiser bike at walmart, would this work ok with it? I am not looking to do any races or anything big at all. I just want to be able to use it in the colder weather. Thank you for this review, it really helped so much!
Hard to know without knowing the rear hub measurements of your bike. I would reach out to them on Amazon directly and see if they can help you out.
I have a single speed bike and no room or money to spend on a road bike as of now. Would a single speed work with this setup for swift? I mean I just wanna have some fun and burn some calories. curious to hear your thoughts.
As long as it fits, it should work just fine.
@@SmartBikeTrainers Thank you for the answer!
Can you help me by saying how to adjust the resistance to the wheel ? How many turns you need to do so you have a correct adjustment...?
You need to tighten the knob until it touches the wheel. Then add two to three more turns. You know you have the right tension if you grab the wheel with one hand and spin it real quick. It shouldn’t slip.
Would you recommend using a trainer like this with 15mm track nuts?
I have a quarq power meter on my bike. What is my best classic or fluid trainer to get onto zwift ? I can't buy a smart trainer right now so was wondering how I could use the quarq power meter with a budget trainer . Thanx
You should be able to use this trainer with your Quarq. Your Quarq should pair to Zwift as a powermeter and that’s all you need to get going in Zwift.
Thanks.
Would a Kurt kinetic inride sensor work with this trainer?
I have a thru axle, this skewer looks real thin but could I still use it?
You should use a thru axle skewer.
Can this be used with a mountain bike?
I hope people do not go with the reviews on Amazon or other websites. Like this Sportneer has only C grade more than half of reviews has been adjusted or removed to make look product better.
thank you.
a trainer is just to last longer and so you don't wear through your nice road tires.
Does this work with a bolt-on rear axel bike?
I have it, it does but it’s a little janky. There’s more give and wobble.
didn't sound noisy at all.
Would this work with a fixed gear bike?
Has anybody tried using this with a different trainer selection in zwift? would love to get a more accurate power reading from this thing
Lifeline TT-01 Mag Trainer, the most similar trainer i've found on Zwift ;)
Really? 8 minutes speaking and not even a few seconds to see the product running. Really?
Can you use an Ebike with this?
Hard to tell without knowing the specifics about the bike itself. I would reach out to Sportneer for bike compatibility questions and they should be able to check measurements and rear hub type.
Omitting power makes this incomplete
Sold out everywhere I look 🤦🏻♂️
Is it 100% satisfaction guaranteed?
Are they verified purchases or bought reviews lol
You never know with Amazon but I purchased my own.
yeew
now that you did a video its 124 dollars
Looks good, but it's now $149.99 on Amazon. That's quite an increase since you did this video. It's also lost it's Amazon's Choice rating. Mahalo!
When you give stars perhaps mention what the max no is! ☺️ 5 stars of 5 or 10? Good review though and looks like a good budget dumb-trainer! 👍
Good point. Amazon’s has a 5 stars rating system so my rating was based on that.
