What’s wrong with Suzuki? He’s been great. MSL is not an issue and I don’t get why some think he is. Who’s your option to replace him? Laval has lost 8 of their last 11 so let’s all be patient a bit. Main roster has been together for 6 games and they’re a 500 team over their last 15. We need to chill for a second
Not sure what they want from this coach, other than to don skates! That said, he just like all the players are essentially the youngest team on tap. He's mapping a course not only them, but for himself also. As long as they want to play for him, I genuinely think they do, they will evolve as a team from head to toe. A prime example was how they celebrated Hudsons goal, the coach included. Patience everyone.
@@jjevans1693 Rebuild is going fine. Only issue i have is they should have lost a few more games in 2023 to make sure they had a shot at top 3 pick. It would not be a disaster if they get another top 5 pick this season. We will also need another season at least for Demidov, and even Rainbacher and some other rookies to get acclimated to the NHL, and continue to develop, and then we should see the Habs being a solid team and in the playoffs. Then you can say the rebuild is done (at least 1-2 more seasons).
Josh said it took him a year to get over his injury. Dach's injury was worse than Anderson's. Give him a break, he needs a whole year to heal and get his full confidence back. I say give him until the trade deadline next season (2027) to show what he can add to the team. If his play is underwhelming, move him at the Trade Deadline in 2026! We still need a #1 Dman and 3, or 4, gritty forwards who can skate and stand up for their team players, and a Qualified, proven Coach! With the prospects we have already + this years draft class, and with GOOD coaching, we ill make the playoffs in 25-26, or for sure in 26-27! PS. Nobody is talking about the cheap penalty calls the Habs are getting! Other teams do the same thing and hardly get penalized at all. The ice has been tilted for 2 years now, what is going on!!!!!!!!!
That’s a lot of runway and I get the injury but the mistakes aren’t injury related in my opinion. And maybe you’re right? We shall see but the man takes awful awful penalties and I can’t just shrug my shoulders and say well he’s recovering sooo. It’s complicated for sure 👊🏻
Montreal never changes. No matter what, every 3 years, the fans decide that a new coach will be a difference maker. For a short time, maybe but in the long run, they are not. This team is not much better than its record indicates. That’s just the reality of rebuilding. For example, look at their D corp. He is trying to integrate 5 young defensemen at once. It's impossible to do without losing games.
With Dach, it’s hard to be patient while he comes back from injury. I’m a bit surprised by soooo many mental mistakes since he was with the team doing video sessions with coaches, etc, etc. it sounded like he was really engaged, so patience was needed for physical comeback to form, but I thought mental game would be much better. Disappointing. Hard to watch identical errors game in and game out, especially when so hopeful where the team would be given special teams improvement. Goal is a big worry at this point - even more than Dach!
I think it's fine that they keep playing Dach, but he's hurting the team in more ways than one; it's got to be discouraging for other players at times. There is nothing wrong with putting him on the 4th line until he starts showing signs of improvement.
Nick Suzuki seemed quite honest talking about Dach today. He sees progression, brutal rehab from an awful injury. I strongly believe this is a tight team and if they’re tight like this while losing that’s character. I’m optimistic about the future
@@shaunstarr I am optimistic, as well. The team will be very good long term. The team shows a lot of character by not turning on each other. Thanks for another great show.
All you guys saying be patient with Dach??? How many more years can we wait? Patient for Dach but no patience for MSL?? lol he’s doing the best he can with what’s he’s been given! Cmon we have terrible veterans, and the youngest team in the league making mistakes night in and night out! What coach would get anything more out of this group of youngsters learning the game on the fly??? Give your head a shake! Laine when asked what he liked about Montreal so much?? Number one was the fans and then he went out of his way to say he loves playing for Marty… as he sees the game with a different perspective… as a player!! He didn’t have to vouch for him as he wasn’t specifically asked about his coach! Just shows all you nay sayers the players haven’t given up on their coach! But there’s times I say to myself why hasn’t MSL given up on these guys!! They are the ones not executing, they are the ones taking stupid penalties, they are the ones not scoring and they are the ones not giving g an honest effort game in and game out!
do you think the refs call easy shit on the habs ? i have seen lot worst that don't get called , so criticizing Kirby Dach on that penalty is easy . Kirby Dach is a good hockey player but is having a hard time this year , hopefully he's able to bounce back next year. Patrik Laine is not in game speed yet understandably . Rebuilding a team is a long process .
MTL is the 3rd most penalized team in hockey and Kirby makes it easy on himself with some of the penalties he takes. Go watch my older stuff I’m not picking on the guy. 👊🏻
Did you hear my explainer for Anderson looking the way he’s looking? My guess is not. So I’ll write it. Anderson has been tasked with playing defense and if offense comes it comes he isn’t being relied upon to be that guy. That’s the difference between Anderson then and him today.
@shaunstarr fine and dandy. Over pay a guy, then realize you're paying him top 6 pay for fourth line production. So, is he a keeper going forward? At $2.5 maybe. Like that's going to happen.
Oh Yeah, in so far as Kirby is concerned, there was so much love for him 2ys ago, now all of a sudden he's a bum, Man, the guy's just come off 2 massive surgeries back to back, don't care if he healed from the 1st one, came back and got seriously injured again, costing him the season. Takes it's toll, don't care who you are. He will respond, when he stops squeezing the krap out of his stick.
You can pull as many positives out of a loss as you want but its still a loss. The question is very simple with the record that MSL has since he's been here if he's a coach of another team would he still be the coach, 95% chance he would be gone. The only reason he's not gone is because they gave that extension. We're harder on Dach who came back from injury than we are on MSL. If Dach is not cutting it neither is MSL. I'm tired of his philosophical answers,bs start showing some fire behind the bloody bench. Soft coach soft players.
You just call MSL soft?? Bro cmon man. He ain’t soft no way do I get on board and would happily debate the topic of him being worthwhile behind the bench. All you need to do is look at how they played v Winnipeg to know MSL is the right man👊🏻
@shaunstarr Not convinced, on the ice he had that fight, perhaps that fight is not coming across behind the bench and that is a big issue. They need to fix this issue because the development of Slafkovsky and Demidov might be hindered. The off season is going to be huge. Love the show. Too short though 😂
if habs lose to buffalo bad will MLS finally get let go?? because they r gonna lose! what not better team to come play after loosing 10 straight, a sit back ,none aggressive , defense flopping on the ice. forwards not good in the corners

More excuses for MSL and Hughes. Anyone who thinks this rebuild is going well after 3 years, has rocks in their head..
