Huh, never did occur to me you can shoot the armour pieces off the dead soldiers for extra armour! Nice! And awesome job on the no death run, man! Subscribed!
Reason for this is honestly probably the perk availability, if not just easier level layout. Being at 125 health and having reload mash practically right after prologue is insane. Additionally, being able to overcharge armor and getting armor level 2 before Escape! makes the game a lot easier as well.
Oh my god....saw what you did and i decided do this challenge for myself, im gonna be honnest with you, its freaking hard, i almost died at the end but i killed stupid boss. Congrats man, you did this and i also will celebrate this is incredible. Guys if you want big challenge, you should try it
I do have the New Order but I never completed it in Ironman mode. Unlike Mein Leben, Ironman mode does not let you acquire upgrades or health boosts, so you can either start with all the upgrades from previous playthroughs or none. I played without upgrades over a year ago and gave up trying, though I might revisit it. Also the New Order I feel definitely has tougher enemies. Every enemy in the Old Blood has some kind of exploitable weakness (except for maybe the Panzerhund). The heavy troopers are downed by a single sniper shot to the tank, Rudi Jaeger's powersuit coils can be shot at before he can move and the cave monster is killed if you just aim for the mouth. The complimentary zombies that are also with the boss are easily picked off with a silenced pistol, as the monster will only lash out at you if it hears noise. The New Order has heavy robots (which are pretty easy to defeat if you run around them and shoot their backs), but they also have the newer gen Super Soldiers, Fire Troopers, and Rocket Troopers which are straight up bullet sponges to anything except rockets and energy weapons. But the energy weapons run out of ammo so fast and if you are being flanked by armored enemies and there are no recharge stations nearby then you are shit outta luck. The Fire Trooper's ricochet also does hellva lot of damage and can instakill you if you're not careful, especially if you have no upgrades and only 100hp. The Deathshed final boss fight would also be the nail in the coffin if you are playing without upgrades, the Fergus/Wyatt bot is pretty challenging to hit without the impact grenade upgrades. When trying to take out Deathshed's forcefield, you can only really hope he misses as you run for the cannons because you will be open range of him and you can't deal damage back. His beams do lot of damage and are fired fast. They also go through metal and you can only really take cover behind the cannon or the glass shield (which he can force you out of with emp blasts). Even after that, he goes under and lights off all those gas valves that would eat your health, all while he's shooting at you with high damage lasers and his suit is a bullet sponge with no exploitable weaknesses. I beat the game with full upgrades in Uber and it wasn't too challenging. I feel like Ironman is beatable with a fully upgraded 200hp, but 100hp is too little.
@@pH_Dav Thanks for the detailed response! But if you wanted to challenge yourself fairly doesn’t it make more sense to just start a regular new game in Uber difficulty and collect upgrades as you go and once you die just start all over again?? How doable will that be in your opinion??
@@crimsonskull9276 Eh, I'd rather just do Ironman mode for the sake of doing Ironman mode. And I would do it with full upgrades. What you described would be doable, though. Probably the most fair option. I don't think there is an achievement for Ironman Mode regardless.
@@pH_Dav Dude your absolutely right about those heavies in TNO. Is there some consistent way to get rid of them?? Sometimes the lkw doesn’t do enough damage and they require 1 or 2 AR grenades, sometimes I one shot them with an AR grenade sometimes I require 3…way inconsistent right now….
During the prologue with the double-barrel shotgun? There is an perk unlocked in this game (Reload Mash) that allows me to reload faster if I mash R. In order do unlock it I need to kill 20 enemies with the last bullet of a clip (11:37 for a reference). Since the double-barrel shotgun only holds two rounds and has a wide spread and good damage (typically a 1-hit kill anywhere at close range), I figured it would be more efficient to farm the perk that way instead of emptying a 30-round assault rifle and then carefully aiming the last shot to be a headshot on a hopefully-weak enemy. The shotgun alone gave me 16 out of the 20 kills. Also since my items were going to be reset after I completed the area, there was no need to hold onto any excess ammunition.
Damn youd say this is easier than tnc mein leben? Done that and all its dlcs on mein leben plus iron man for tno, had a few deaths on this one but doesnt seem too bad. Panzerhund on paderborn bridge is kinda bs tho
Yes, I'd say it's easier than The New Colossus for sure. You can eat much more damage and the overall pacing of the gameplay is much slower. I have yet to complete an Iron Man run on The New Order though that's mainly because I am trying to complete it without abilities/upgrades. If I did a run with all the abilities/upgrades I probably would have completed it by now.
Ah nice. Actually just beat this the other day, yeah wasn't too bad. I will say iron man no upgrades will be atrocious. Gibraltar bridge is an absolute nightmare because of the jumps and may end up being a death spot. So the frustration of getting upgrades again would be ass... lmao. Nice runs dude

Good job. No one talks about the mein leben mode from the old blood
Most underrated Wolfenstein game
Sorry for commenting 1 year later, but the reason is because it doesn't give you anything
Probably one of the easiest über difficulty like games in the franchise and the most relaxing wolfenstein game to play imo
Yeah this was my second play-through of the game mode. I was confident enough that I could complete it again while recording.

@crimsonskull9276 You can shoot at the tank of the fire troopers, and it will deal damage to them, but not enough to kill them like in the old blood

Why were you wasting ammo
