I just found you thank you for showing machine knitting I got a Toyota knitting machine with ribber and all that went with the machine at a yard sale the lady had used it twice for hats I have had it for a few yrs tried to take classes but the teacher was mean so I am trying to do on my own.....so you inspire me I look forward to it all. I have a question you had a L shaped metal wire you put in the left side looks like you had a weight on it can you tell me what that is I have the same.?

Oh yes that is a great tool to add extra weight in specific sections when knitting on double bed. You saw I used it for the edge here, but it is great for when doing short rows on double bed and necklines. I usually put a small weight on it. Hope this helps 🤗

Not weird at all, I looked a long time for mine too; I needed one to wear with my wedding dress which is even lower at the back.

It is a dead stock yarn from www.filatipregiatidistock.com , these are the yarn details from the order DIONISIO Filati Artigianali Italiani - COLORE : ROSA - it is a viscose merino blend, about 4 ply; lovely yarn. 🌸
