- Track day 25th March 2019 on the GP circuit, Radical came through Aintree to meet stationary crashed cars, jumped on brakes and collected the 911 following closely behind. Luckily drivers were all ok with just damage to the cars. Scary.

Porsche was asking for it, following way too close. No room for error
“It was a dick move.”
Nah orange BMW spun and the radical got on the brakes
@@DanielWilliams-cr1jt Other vehicles were slow or stopped on track, the radical did what it had to do. The porsche was too close and focused on following the radical not allowing for any errors to be made. Found out the hard way
Couldn’t agree more- there isn’t a trophy or points awarded at end of a TRACK day! It’s not the world championship!
Some idiots go to track days like it’s he race of their lives. It’s a moment for everyone to enjoy, not a private track reserved for lunatics getting paid to come first
Good driving from the camera car at least!
Looks like an incident occured the the M3 GTS further ahead (albeit tricky to see but the csrs position off circuit suggests a spin). Radical moves to the left and decelerates. Porsche isn't able to react in time and stuffs it into the back of the Radical.
If you watch closely there’s another radical (or something similar) that stops on the racing line for what looks like debris.
The bmw was already stopping further ahead in the runoff area.
Looks like our radical was reacting to the first open cockpit car sitting on the racing line. Then, what you said..
Holy crap! It’s an E92 GTS!
Stupid ass porsche driver
The diversity of cars here is amazing. Wish you'd see this in more track days.

Porsche just drove up the back of the Radical! Poor driving, and no appreciation of trackday etiquette which exists for good reason.
The Radical braked hard for a stationary car on exit curb
@@MrSpanks he shouldn't have been racing, that's in the Porsche driver
@@MrSpanks Yes, the Radical driver did a good job avoiding a collision with car in front of him.
First rule of track day: no racing, wait for the car ahead to move out of your way.the porche was way too close, and so didn't have room to react. Entirely his fault.
That looks like a crazy busy track day though! Not surprised something went wrong
I mean...I don't take it to the extreme, but (a) that's how they know to let you pass, and (b) if you're in a momentum car turning faster laps, but get blasted on the straights, you can't really pass if you're lagging way behind.
@@joshduke134 don't need to be too close, if you haven't lost someone after a few corners, they are faster
So the same Porsche that overtook at the start during the braking zone and through the corner without anybody indicating him past.
A lot of people confuse track days for race days.
Yep what a dumbass loser in the porsche

Watched this and said to my wife, bet you any money this is an RMA trackday. Checked and it was. The standard of driving, overtaking rules and general lack of respect amongst drivers on RMA trackdays is so apparent that I could spot it straight away. Done many track days. Did one with RMA and left early because it was too dangerous and an incident like this was obviously going to happen. Terrible track day company.
I've done an RMA Trackday last November at Snet and was impressed at the general respect and good vibe around the circuit. I don't recognise the accusations that you're throwing, and while I can't speak to your experience, I dispute that it's not a company that takes track days very seriously. This is an unfortunate collision, but unless RMA staff physically put a car in the road, I fail to see how they can be at fault. You can tell people how to drive all day long, but you will still get plums in expensive cars. The people I met at RMA were professional, took safety seriously, and sought to enjoy what they do. It was my first track day, and I was pleased that everyone was sensible and respectful on the circuit. I would go again, but the price for a trackday not swarmed by Fiesta STs and Clio cup cars is too steep with the way things are.
@@ArchefluxxMusic The final sentence of your comment is what he is getting at... track days need more regulation and in all fairness all these knob’s who race around in ST’s (pop and bang maps, say no more) cause nothing but trouble for people who take track days like the fella here driving the Caterham.
@@Harbinger-1996 so track days are for a certain type of person with a certain type of car? So very inclusive and diverse of you

@@amacca2085 I've done more track days than you've had hot dinners boy, both instructing and driving so know your place. Track days are all about enjoying the experience and your car and most of all knowing your limits and not putting other people's safety in jeopardy by putting your lack of talent into the public arena. Great driving, you look like you’re having fun without taking too serious unlike some idiots on amateur track days

Great decision to keep rolling and go wide to avoid getting rear ended
That Ariel Atom v8 in the end though 😍😍😍
Took me way too long to realise this wasn't a video game
The Porsche driver did well to avoid the car that stopped in front of him. There seem to have been an earlier incident based on the spottiness of the cars on the track.
Very good video quality, what camera was used?
Had the orange BMW spun and the Radical slowed too quickly for the Porsche to be able to take avoiding action?
Exactly
Orange BMW spun, two cars were following it and both took evasive action, the Porsche was behind them and was both cut off/rammed into the back of the evading/braking radical when it got in front of them.
Too quickly because the Porsche though he was racing in the Silverstone GP, he was too close to react
I thought the rule is not to stop and continue driving? the safety car and crews should attend to the accident instead with yellow or red flags
That is a screwy way to run a track day. In the US, all reputable events require a straight and a point by to make a pass. If you want to be able to pass anywhere on the track that is a race, not a track day. Everybody needs to be licensed, have all the mandatory safety equipment, and they must run in groups of similar types of cars.
That white Porsche nearly buried it into the back of that Ferrari GT3 too:-)
I was like that's not a radical they're in.... then I saw the crash 😂🤣😂
You have a safety.
good job!
That green Porsche wanted by the Radical SO BADLY that he got tunnel vision and didn't realize that other cars are on track! There was an obvious issue up ahead that the green porsche driver would have seen almost as quickly as the Radical did, if only he'd been keeping his eyes up.
So we just gonna stop in the run off area
is that much carbon legal on a Caterham? It looks freaking sweet to drive but I'd want to anchor it down in anything more than a light breeze once I'd got home.
It took me a second to realise this is not a game. 🤦🏻♀️
Why no explosions? Michael Bay, where are you?!
Sure it wasn't "Hump Day" at Silverstone? That Porsche mounted that radical like it was trying to mate with it🤣
First thing I noticed... the track was not marshalled, NO YELLOW FLAG, no corner workers. The first thing I was taught was always know where the corner workers are and be aware of them because they are your eyes for any kind of track conditions.
There is usually minimal marshalling at track days. The intention is to have a safe environment to test your car and driving and not to race others, that's what club racing is for. I once heard a track instructor say you cannot win the track day, but you can sure lose.
@@kclark0395 Understood. Of course it is not racing. But in the US, the clubs that I go with have corner workers because of blind corners, debris on the track surface, and even cars with mechanical problem that the corner workers can see. It only increase the safety factors on track. That's what we are paying for, in part.
Edit. I forgot. And if you as a driver go off and there isn't a corner worker, who will notify the emergency crew. Flaggers, and corner workers are essential for a safe environment.
@@kclark0395 I did a track day at Cadwell Park last week, plenty of marshalls, flags well used (a couple of spins).
It was all too quick for flags to come out
I have the onboard from the red white and blue Ferrari that was right behind the crash, was a pretty close call 😅
Can you post it? Would be a great video I'm sure
Can ya post it would be great

What the F was that green Porsche doing?! Terrible driving.
I actually thought this was a video game for a second, only the micro adjustments of the hands on the wheel and the shifting shows it's real. Sim racers have me ruined lol.
My left ear really enjoyed that!
Love the car man! Gotta be an absolute blast to drive.
Was just wondering where the crash was..all i saw was a mundane run off
Who stops their car on the exiting race line
Looked like the Pirsche was being over zealous and not respecting the other cars enough. It was just going at it as if evveryone else was supposed to jump outta the way. Thats bad track etiquette in experience. Not something seen very often, definitely the Porsche's fault. In my opinion that was a rookie mistake that should not have been made by anyone with that level of track license.
Perhaps he was following too closely, but it's not like anyone expects the car ahead of them to suddenly hit the brakes hard right after passing an apex.... Sometimes you have to follow people pretty close to setup a pass on the exit. I think this was just an unfortunately situation of the people ahead of the Radical spinning out and the radical couldn't do anything but hit the brakes. As a result the Porsche couldn't really do anything either.
@@anthonylineberry I know but I've seen guys at the track who push too hard and end up crashing. Realistically ifthe guy in Porsche was following too closely to the Radicalhe absolutely should've known the Radical was gonna stop far faster than his Porsche. Following that closely and with that lityke room for error with traffic, there was no way to effectively setup the car for the next turn or even do effective mid corner correction. At least thays what I see based on the angle of the video. Personally I think the Porsche pushed too hard at the wrong moment and should've had far better judgement. That radical has 3x the lateral grip, superior acceleration and stopping power, challenging him in such a tight proximity was absolutely bad judgement. In an open track I totally understand but I would never do that or recommend to any students that they do it either.
Oh dear. Porker seemed to have been a little over enthusiastic
It is not a Radical, it is a Atom.
Do you even definition? An “off track” IS NOT A CRASH!
What happens in a crash like that? Who's responsible for the damages?
The mod community of assetto corsa is really working hard ! Insane graphics, send me the filter please
When that green Porsh passed these 2 cars on the inside, i thought what an asshole. Then he crashed into another car on the inside. Yes definitely an asshole.
This is a videogame? Or real life?
Not really a crash, they just ran off the track to avoid a stopped car
Apart from the Porsche which decided to use the Radical as a launch pad.
Looks like the Porsche tried to pass on the left, is that what caused it?
What do people treat track days like race days. You have nothing to gain but everything to lose driving like that.
There's a difference between going off course and crashing
What about the Porsche then? Looked a lot like a crash to me.
I guess the Porsche discovered how a Radical stops.
Seems like GT sport, 6-7 car crashed,
I just see the last porsche fault, it was a track Day for fun and with your car.. you cant follow any car so close cause you are not able to see what could happen ahead him
Running off track isn't crashing genius.
Were the corner workers napping?

I didn’t know what a radical was so I expected the white Porsche to crash
There’s a car stopped on track and I don’t see any flags
Does anyone know which camera used?
This game looks realistic
Is this real life or ac?

Excellent escape route, good driving, at least by you.
Honestly I can't tell what happened from this, but it does look like the Radical swerved left as well. Unfortunate for all involved but I will say you have to watch your aggression level on track days - it's just for fun, right?
Nice line in that caterham. That lmp or whatever it was, was not watching behind them geez
Why did Porsche push to Radical on accelerating ? Radical missed shift up ?
Radical suddenly stopped as looks like another car had spun/crashed on the exit of the corner. The Radical can brake much quicker than the Porsche
Is this assetto corsa? Nice looking shaders
looked to me like the Porsche thought he was racing, weaving behind the radical for an overtake
Caterham looks awesome to drive !!
The green car lol I'm amazed he kept driving
What happens if you damage other cars and its clearly your fault? Do you have to pay the damages ?
theyre required to have race track insurance. If u dont then u fucked
There is no liability on track, you sign a form before you can go out saying exactly that. If you can't afford to repair or replace your car then it's best not to go out on track.
Man thought he was an F1 driver for second
All that risk for what return?? I don’t get it.
Jesus, Caterhams, Radicals, theyre all nuts.
How does the old saying go? If you can’t go around him go through him
It's funny how everyone who wasn't driving like a tit avoided the carnage . . . .
my mind can't decide if this is a real video or a video game
What crash?
and this is how cars are made kids
Looks like he ran up the back of the radical?
So is that where cars come from.
My man just went full on forza on that one
and that's how little race cars are conceived.
That car was stalled out on the outside of the turn there way before you guys got to the corner. No corner workers? Where's the yellow flag?
