I've been grappling for over 25 years and I haven't seen such a useful video on the subject as you put together here. I have started following your channel but this video is sooo good.
Awesome videos man. I teach bjj and still wrestle with a few guye after regular class. Snap downs and front headb control, that's how i stay effective as a 42 year old trying to stay in it with guys fresh out of high school and college
I love your videos dawg, watch em all, I’ve started doing funk rolls and I was wondering if you could do a video on scrambles since there isn’t really a whole lot on the world of scrambling and it feels like scrambling is basically do whatever you want and hope it works
Hey hey, I think there was a poll asking about scrambling instructional. I was curious, would there be enough to talk about to warrant an instructional about shooting from the open for some time in the future?
I don’t have anything planned on that specifically for a little bit, but there’s some stuff on that in each instructional. For example, the double leg one has some info on fakes same with low single
Next year is my last year high school wrestling. What would you recommend doing to improve? Obviously hard work, which I am, but is there certain ways of drilling. Or certain concepts that would help? I also feel like my wrestling is limited cause I’m only good at low singles and ankle picks and don’t know what else I should add
Defeinitly focus on a couple things from each position. Tripod stand up for bottom and find a top series. Then drill and perfect those moves. Low single and ankle pick are good maybe add regular single
Ive been having an issue with the collar tie. I pressure in to snap but they thumbpost overtop and i lose the power. Should i release the collar tie or what would you recommend?

As David Taylor says, the number one takedown is a go-behind set from a snapdown.

I think your next video should be slide bus, very good to know
I am filming slide by and scrambling today I'll have them both up by end of this week!
Does the lead leg matter that much when setting up a snap?
Not too much, ideally you want to get them to square their feet up
@@ironfaithwrestling thank you for replying but I meant the snapper’s lead leg. Because I noticed you always had the same lead leg as snapping hand
@@user-tv1tp2fr1u not that I’ve noticed, I’m just a righty so I always keep my right leg forward
Could you make a video on inside trips?
