good day..hope you will notice..i just wanted to ask if there is another part that i can use to replace the HG wide rear plate 3mm as this part is very hard to find here in Philippines.
hi ,, i noticed you took out the O-rings on the bearings before you soak them. do you have to install the o-rings back to the bearing after you soaked it and assemble it? or just leave the o-rings out
Is it just me, or are there fewer parts than before? I mean Yeah in the 90's early 2000 we was using mesh in vent spaces or as windshields to lighten and to keep batteries and motors cool but now it's tuff to find a lot of parts or maybe I don't know where to look just getting back into the hobby my first mini I had was back in the 80's but it disappeared until 90's and disappeared again I'm glad to see it alive and well
I read that there are differences to the 94389 bearings, being the 500 yen and the 700 yen version. The 500 yen version are sold much more expensive, is there a reason why? Which is better? Which is newer?
The older versions of the 94389 have a metal race inside the bearing. The newer ones have a plastic race so they wear out. The old ones last for a very long time in comparison.
Im planning to buy DCR-01 red or violet and i dont know how much peso will i spend to make it im just gonna buy some frp rear and front plate and some rollers can you help me how mush budget i needed
I don't know how much the prices are in the Philippines but over here, that's going to be around $45-50. You can use Google to convert from USD to PHP.
Thank you for the tips sir! Though I noticed on my build that my rear wheels are not free-wheeling unlike the front when I put in washers beside the pink gear. I already applied grease or oil but still the same. Hope you can give me advice! Thanks!
Something must be too tight somewhere. Check to see if you have a gear that isn't straight or if your washer is too tight on the gear. If that's not it. Check how straight your shaft is. If that isn't it, check if your wheels are bent/crooked.
Z3N Bluster I have checked the shaft and its good. I havent checked the wheels and havent tried changing the washer and/or gear yet. Ill try that and will let you know. Thanks again
Marcus Pearson Yes probably. I mentioned in the video that you can just use this as a guide. You don't have to use the exact parts I mentioned in the video. But the parts I mentioned are what I recommend. If you stray from it, your mileage may vary.
+Grant Jason Famador It cleans out the grease that is inside the bearings. The grease slows down the bearings. Doing this allows them to spin with less effort.
Hello z3n bluster I had a a couple questions about your previous video. What parts do you need to build with the mill. What website do you get your parts from? Can you do a video on how to build that car or is it a secret for you? Also is there any prize for the Japan cup that you won. Thank you
+SR#10 Official You just asked four questions on one comment. For the mill, get the good Proxxon vise and buy some endmill carbide bits with 1/8 Shank. I buy my parts locally from DXN Provisions. Yes I can. I did not win the Japan Cup. I only won one round. Winning one round gets you nothing. Winning a Japan Cup will get you a Trophy, an entry into the Champions Race at the end of the year, and HONOR.
Sir im planning to set up a tamiya, speed tech is the usual category here in Philippines. What would you recommend for a newbee like me should i buy? What set up? Do you have any in your videos? And what chasis do u prefer most?
Darren Arellano To clean out the grease in the bearing you soak them in lighter fluid. I'm pretty sure I showed this on the video. The gears, use whatever oil you like.
Your english almost gave me a headache. Why not say it this way. If you want to make a video connecting the parts of this 4wd Mini it is better that you describe all the parts as you put it together.
Aye man great fan of your vids. I have a question for this build. What would be the most powerful motor that this setup can handle as it is? Thanks in advance.
would the motor still be running at optimal levels at default 3.5 gear ration with 26mm tires? or would it be better to change to a 4:1 and large diameter tires for a hyper dash pro motor? Thanks man! really interested in upgrade my stock setup.
nerbs I am not entire sure I understand what you're asking because you didn't list complete information. I'm assuming you still want to adhere to Tuned Class Rules which mean no cutting or trimming tires. So you want to convert from Medium Untrimmed to 3.5:1 which is pretty much 26mm, into Large Diameter Untrimmed 4:1. No, I do not recommend going 4:1 and changing to Large Diameter Untrimmed. The taller the tires, the less balanced you car will be, the higher the center of gravity is. I recommend sticking to medium diameter 3.5:1 like I have outlined in the parts section of this video.
actually yeah you hit it right off the bat! sorry! still a bit green when it comes to tuned cars. Will definitely take this info into account when I upgrade mine which im probably gonna pattern closely to the build on the video. Thanks!
nerbs Don't worry about the motor. The reason why motors would have issues with gear ratio is because of torque. The lower the gear ratio, ie 3.5:1. The hard the motor will work. But if you convert that to 4:1 with a larger diameter wheel. It's basically the same. Despite the fact you're using 4:1, a higher gear ratio. It doesn't really make much of a difference because now you're intending to spin Large Diameter Wheels. So you're intended result of minimizing work for the motor, doesn't do anything.

This build is designed for Tuned Class which is popular here in the States. Limited to Tuned Motors Torque Tuned, Atomic Tuned, and Rev Tuned variations only. Wheel Piercing is allowed. Body design cutting is allowed. But no cutting is allowed for any other part. Due to the limit of the speed of the motors generally they are Technical in terms of how fast they run. Do you have any tips to reinforce the brake set? I've tried this setup but already broke 2 brake set
I would switch to 15518.
Hi! I really like your wheel piercer. It is so hard to find one in the Philippines. What site do you suggest to buy one?
Object 324 used to make them. But the company doesn't exist anymore. DXNprovisions.com sells a set of tools that has a wheel piercer.
Z3N Bluster thank you. Will check them out and might buy one at that site.
can this build can be put to a blast arrow yea i know its a ma chassis but the body?
You'll need to cut the blast arrow body to make it for, but it will. You might need to use side cutters or a rotary tool with a cutting bit to do it.

Oh no, this is basic. You're not even scratching the surface of, "Pro."
Which one is better? AO620 or fluorine coated bearing?
J24scale models AO620. That fluorine coated, "bearing," is not a bearing. It is a bushing, no ball bearings in it at all.
Can you rank the bearings from best to worst? AO620, fluorine coated, hex hole and round hole
Where do you soak your opened parts? Is that alcohol like rubbing alcohol?
and why do use pierce your wheels?
Lighter Fluid. Pierced wheels are less likely to slide out of position.

beginner question here... why do we need to soak the parts in lighter fluid. tyvm
+Grant Jason Famador It cleans out the grease that is inside the bearings. The grease slows down the bearings. Doing this allows them to spin with less effort.
After soaking it in lighter fluid no need to relubricate it? After soaking i can use it right away for my bearings and rollers as well?

That's up to you. The setup won't work the same way but it should be fine.

Grant Jason Famador Yes regular 72mm shafts will be fine. If you don't have a wheel piercer you'll need to use 60mm.

can we use 620s for the stock shafts? ty
Grant Jason Famador Yes

Enomoto Shaft Tester. You can only buy it if you're local to Japan. They do not ship outside of Japan.

michael john Soriano No, but it is quicker.
thanks, i`m currently watching your MA build setup for beginners like me.hope you continue posting vids like this. thumbs up sir
sir, if walang wheel piercer. alternative way to pierce the wheel?
If you do not have a wheel piercer, you're likely to ruin the wheel. Unless you have one, I don't recommend trying it.

No, you use them as dampers or as glue applicators.

how is that a transmission
A transmission is a machine in a power transmission system, which provides controlled application of the power. Often the term transmission refers simply to the gearbox that uses gears and gear trains to provide speed and torque conversions from a rotating power source to another device.
So in essence the pinion gears attached to both ends of the motor transmit power to the counter gears, which in turn transmit power to the spur gears attached to the shafts that drive the wheels.
