The level of cruelty this game let's you do is honestly, amazing. I've caught myself doing it a couple times and having to reexamine my actions. The first time was trying to see if I COULD do it, then realized oh sh*t, I can, so now I'm careful around anyone that's not a bad guy. I love the Moppets, even though they are cringey looking at times, they don't deserve what's happening to them.

I guess when I used Sweezy, they may have just despawned instead of triggering this event. I also wonder if they were actually intended to be killable, or if its a leftover thing from the one option with Sweezy to have them fight one another to the death if they changed their minds.
I got this whole thing completely ruined by bug. I got stuck, unable to do anything, with a piece of paper in my hand. This game is so good and funny but completely but SO buggy and unfinished/not tested properly.

I used Sweezy as the boss option and they ran away all three of them and I got a achievement
i picked the "fight to the death" option, they told me to F off and quit and walked out.
They probably were meant to be killable. If you kill them your later encounters with Helen will have her remember what you did.
Killing them is an option to skip the paperwork minigame. It takes a few anti-murder dialogue options though first.
