My daughter LOVES snow globes! I make sure to get her one from anywhere I travel. An opportunity to not just buy, but MAKE one just for her is something my heart just can’t pass up! I see this video is two years old, I’m praying with a full heart that these are still available. She’s a newlywed in nursing school and is always working or studying. I send her “fun money” when I can hear she needs a treat, so I know a cup like this would mean so much! She’s my stethoscope wearing ladybug! I’m so stinking proud of her! ♥️ I’m disabled and need a hobby. Being unable to work at such a young age can really test your mentality, among other “alities”, so I think this might be just the thing! I tried crocheting again, but my arthritis wouldn’t allow me to enjoy it as much as I used to. I’m going to search your website high and low for the perfect combo for my most precious gift and greatest achievement. ♥️👼All you mama bears out there know what that means! Thank you, for being present and so passionately inspirational!
I'm in Love with these tutorials. I'm not sure what I love more though. Either the tutorials or that you sound just like Sandra Lee, whom I totally love, love, love.
@@TiffanyinOklahomaFirst time I saw one of summer's videos, I couldn't see her face, I actually thought it was Sandra lee. Ok, so I'm not crazy..lol Thank you.
Mineral Oil would be a wonderful sub for the water/veg glycerin mix. Thicker than water, thinner than vg. I used it for a resin shaker and it's wonderful! You can find food grade mineral oil in 1 gallon jugs from Amazon.
The 20 minutes of background glitter chatter kept me entertained 😂 been looking forward to this one since I saw the sneak peak, now I’m looking forward to the glowing snow globe!
I didn't understand this either. But maybe because adding another coat of epoxy to cover the decal would have not left enough space for the glitter and water/glycerin.
The part is missing where you show putting the lettering on and what it's made out of. Assuming from the water and squeegee it's probably not vinyl. What material is the lettering? Also, did you epoxy over the lettering or seal it at all?
Unfortunately tHat footage doesn't exist. LOL I am a novice at this and make mistakes! I try sooo hard for you guys though!!! I do have a different tutorial that shows the process. it is called Wet Method Appication
What epoxy did you use for this cup? Because I'm wondering how it holds up in the long term. We are told and tell our customers not to let their cups soaked and basically that's what you're doing with this cup letting it soak forever.
They reason we say “don’t soak in hot water” is because of the heat not the water. They make boats with Epoxy! That is where Pro Marine came from LOL it is sold as a boat epoxy we just use it for cups! Epoxy can be soaked but not in HOT water
Ok that makes more sense but pro Marine makes a special boat epoxy there's a difference between table top epoxy and boat epoxy. Are you useing the boat epoxy fir these cups? That's what I was wanting to know.
@@katiehutchins9514 And the difference to the boat epoxy resins are that ithey are not FDA compliant and so they are cheaper. But the epoxy can withstand continued contact with water if FULLY cured (that is why I do the full 72 hrs per side with no liquid contact.) And the water is not hot. ( Some resins have a MUCH higher heat resistance up to 500 degrees so the can soak as well)
Hi . I'm new to make tumblers . Im working on tumbler with no glitter , only spay paint ( its for a man ) I'm going thorough your videos to how to get rid of bubbles . I don't see one ? Any tips will help . I did buy a mini torch and maybe I'm using it wrong .
Samantha Oth Go back & watch one of her other videos & at the end you’ll see or just skip to end. I’m not to end yet here, she might do it here too. Lol
You have to move super fast with a torch, if not you will scorch the epoxy and that looks like a million bubbles that won't go away..... sure sign you burned your epoxy.... just sand and epoxy again, this may help
She has a whole list of things she is planning for the channel.... ring that little bell at the top so you get notified when she uploads new pretty things
I've been looking forward to you doing a storyboard tumbler but just when you're getting to the parts I really need, it's only you talking and we're looking at your table and we can't see anything of what you're doing :( I hope that you can do another one so we can actually see what you are doing.
@@LittleLeeandRose thank you. I watch for your videos every day and watch while I'm working on my cups. Got confused on this one but will rewatch and fast forward. Thank you for everything you do. I love getting my surprise package every month!
I tried this method, but I must have had too much epoxy inside bc it ran all down the inside. it was a disaster. how do u keep the epoxy from running down the inside? ?
I have made 2 and they both have leaked. I am fixing one now that has leaked :( I am going to resort to covering the entire cup with epoxy once I redo the inside (if I can get it apart!)
You have to make sure you get enough epoxy in the little hole on the bottom to really seal it well.... and while that epoxy is curing (72 full hours) don't tip the cup and make sure where ever you are sitting it to cure is level
The beauty of this craft is if you don't like a particular method there are literally a 1000 different methods you could do.... I love this cup, love the lightning bolts

Wonderful work as always!!
Thank you for this tutorial! I've tried everything but epoxy to seal my cups. Can't wait to try this method.💕

I edited it out buuut it won't go away!!! hahahaha
Super cute. Will the vinyl decal stay without being under epoxy?
I was wondering the same thing. Or if she did seal it and that footage was supposed to go where the background chatter was lol
It is permanent vinyl It will stay! Hand wash only
I love this so much, can you do a Christmas snow globe tumbler?
Bodiedbyt in have been working on me Live in the FB group! Tomorrow we add the glitter and fluid!!
have you had any problems with the epoxy melting because of the liquid?
I have the same question.
How is it holding up?
I wondered why the decal was put on the outside and not the inside.
liquid is inside so the decal would turn to mush
I didn't understand this either. But maybe because adding another coat of epoxy to cover the decal would have not left enough space for the glitter and water/glycerin.

I'm curious, if you fill the liquid to the top, why is there so much air when you finally flip it over? 🤔
Can you use a paintbrush to apply the epoxy in the last step for putting/sealing the buttom piece?
What brand of glycerin are you using

I use an oral medication syringe for those tight spaces....gives lots of control.

What kind of mask do you wear, and where did you purchase?
VOC CHEMICAL MASK amzn.to/2K9vzaV
I get so nervous watching you do all that work on the white fuzzy material. My anxiety starts kickin in that something is gonna spill on it.
it does but she washes it and gives it a hair cut when needed LOL
How long do you let the paint dry before adhesive And do you let adhesive dry at all before glitter
So have you done this with putting the cup on a Spinner rather than hang method? Would that work?
Yes, absolutely
Okay the video was cut off did you place they vinyl on then a hang method or leave vinyl unsealed?
Where can I get these cups? I just requested to join your fb page! Love your videos! 🥰

I don't like the lid on these cups can i use a different lid?
I am curious as to why you’re not using a preservative in the water? Because eventually there will be bacteria in this cup.

Is there anyway to get just the tumbler and not the entire package?
Stainless Depot carries storyboard tumblers. No kit.
How do you keep the words from washing off? You didn’t show putting it on?
Vicki White it is permanent outdoor vinyl! It will stay on! You can epoxy over it if that is your preference

you just want enough epoxy to seal the threads you don't want a lot or it will drip everywhere
Will you feel it click into place?
This style cup in the tutorial is a screw on
~ how many have you made with this method?
tons LOL
