As a player i'm more into 100% completions ( incl The Dungeons ) with Wrath of Cronos , but i find it great to see Speedrunner Tricks in Vanilla HeXen and enjoyed this insane Orgy of Pain & Misery very much 👍 btw : compliments for the elaborate description
This game has piddly little wand with infinite ammo and infinitely respawning ettins. It's like from the very first moment the game tells you "ima gonna waste your time".
can explain why glide/oob with mage is so hard? that because character has lower speed (AFAIR) and that effect all traditional skips with fighter/cleric? Thanks in advance
@@unknownkingdom I have to disagree. The original comment was surprised that the mage was faster than the cleric.. That's because the cleric is stronger than the mage in this game not D&D. The only reason the mages speed run was faster was because the ark of death the third weapon was placed in a spot he could get to it and not divert from the route like he would with the burning hands, the clerics third weapon. The mages first weapon may have pass through damage making it more useful than the Mace but like the speed run shows there is no second weapon for the mage. That ice blast doesn't count. It's actually a toss up between the ark of death and the burning hands and no contest between the 4th weapons. The cross with homing ghosts was so strong it was unfair.
0:33 wait, those doors don't kill you by crushing??? TIL! 15:05 I forget, was this a natural teleport by the game? Using a piggified malautaur to push yourself back in bounds of the gameplay map... how do people even think of this???
Hoping can someone help me out here. I'm trying to find the old game I played as a child at my neighbors house. All I can remember was it was for n64 it was rated M and it looked similar to this game but all I remember is you could collect pieces to make a better weapon and one of the better weapons you could make was a gun that shot ghosts out of it? Lol I was very young so I don't know I'd my memory is wrong. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I swear it was also multi-player and you fought each other like multi-player 007
Best Dark Fantasy Game Ever!!!

11:50 Too long? It has only been, like, 12 minutes.
He's very impatient.
Mage time is faster than Cleric? That was surprising
Not if you understand the game.
@@unknownkingdom what does it mean?
@@pity_alvarez if you know the elvrsl and the differences between classes it is no surprise that Mahe can complete faster.
The Mage's first weapon and the cleric's cross are the best weapons in the game.

You don't take damage if you block one of the door :)
And for the teleport, that was a normal teleport to another map, I pressed a switch from below.
@@jcd_ns How do you block it?
They call it speedrun. Then i see 5:41 whole time :D :D

You might be thinking of doom 64 and its unmaker. As you get the pieces it shoots more lasers. I don't think it ever shoots ghosts, though.
Dude awesome!
