Some good suggestions I like the look of that phone holder. I've' been using o'keeffe's working hands for a few years now and I would also recommend it.
I got my KB Wax delivered today, the clear one. I've given my kit telecaster a coat and polished it up just now and its never looked or felt as good before, its great stuff. And thanks for the silicone laces idea I'll have to get some of those for the kids, I'd save ten minutes on the school run every day I reckon.
Great video. I've got a different brand but I love those pencils that come with a holster. I bought one the other day after realising I must have done a few hundred extra steps just walking around looking for my pencil while I was fitting a kitchen last week.
Hey are you doing a video like this this year? And at 39 I've learned things i used to think were for old people are things i get really excited by now, like the metal dust pan lol
I’m from Minnesota where 3M is headquartersed. 3M is Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing. I always assume people know they are surrounded by 3M tapes and adhesives on a daily basis. Your car is held together with a not insignificant amount of their products and the paint is all sanded with 3M products. Dental implants, 3M glue. Stop sign reflective paint? 3M again. Their products on shelves are minor compared to their industrial applications.
Are we the same person? Either I have all those things (and love them) or they are on my wish list. Can’t wait for the heated jacket, because I’ve been freezing my tuchus off in my shop the past week since the temps have been below normal. Great video!
Great video and loads of info, thanks. Ordered a pan, the right angle adaptor and a phone holder. I'd love to try these sander pads but still expensive for a DIY weekender if I need 80, 120 and 180mm Does anyone know if its possible to buy a variety pack with different grits? I guess the alternative is to try and get a group to buy a selection and share them.
Thanks for this. 8mm router bits do they go in a 1/2 inch router with a reducing collet or something else? What docthey do that 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch don't?
I have read that the Extract sanding screens will damage your Hook and loop pad on the sander and you should use an interface or soft pad to protect the disk on the sander. What do you think? I have some of the 3-M Extract and I like it.
Definitely some pretty good tools etcetera. I really like the picker pencil as I'm always buying carpenter's pencils mainly for the sharpener. I had that many at one point that I gave a load away lol. Great reviews on those handy bits Keith 👍🏼👍🏼
I bought a box of the 3M sanding discs to try them out. I think they are decent, but not a patch on the Festool Granat mesh discs. I know the 3M discs are not suitable for rotary grinders (it says it on the box) and they are definitely not. The Festool sanding mesh disks are pricey but they last forever (nearly) provided you don’t tear them. They are a whole level above the 3M disks imho.
Heard a whisper at a tradeshow once that Festools Granat mesh is made for them by smirdex in the Czech republic. You could save yourself a tenner on a 50 box 😉
Can the fancy standing disks be used on a normal sander, i have an ancient skill brand orbital sander that i got super cheap when the local DIY shop closed down ( it had been on the shelf that long the box had gone mostly white from sun damage :P). It was good for the price i got it ( i think 15 or 20 GBP ) but the standard disks you get are all crap.

Is it a #ad if you advertise you're own products? 😂 Been using the original on some yakisugi axe and hammer handles I've made and if you rub it in by hand on a warm handle the finish is just 😍😍
God knows how many times I’m going to have to watch this video. Talk about information coming thick and fast!
That milwakkeee 90deg adapter is exactly what I need thank you so much
Lots of handy advice & recommendations Keith. Thanks mate👍
Thanks for those ideas. I, too, love the dustpan !
Cheers!

Love that dustpan. 😊
Thanks! I am pleased with it
Thanks Mr B. Good ideas to present to herself
I’ve just installed a diesel night heater with ducting which heats both my workshop and my wife’s sewing room. Well worth considering.
Thanks for those suggestions Keith I'll be checking some of those out. Cheers, Tony

I’ve been on the silicon laces thing for years too! They’re ace!
😁👍
Or, just get slip on Safety boots like me. The Misses goes balistic if I come into the house with them on 😎

Thank you Peter

Ha ha! No I wasn't planning to this year
All very cool, but the silicon laces blew my mind
😁👍
A few interesting items there, Keith...!!
3:01 must've found a particularly impressive bit of Sapele
Yes the okeefes is great
Wipes probably contribute more to landfill than an occasional plastic dustpan or similar.
Big shout out to okeefes!

Hi Roger. Yeah there's a variety pack here's a link amzn.to/3UWExZg thank you! 👍
@@RagnBoneBrown many thanks, I tried but couldn’t find one. Definitely worth a go so ordered already!
Like the look of that big milwaukee square mate. Got some quality viewing on the go at 7:03 on that phone holder I see.😁👍

Thanks for this. 8mm router bits do they go in a 1/2 inch router with a reducing collet or something else? What docthey do that 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch don't?
The router motor I got for my router table is 8mm as standard. You can get collets to adapt the size 👍
@@RagnBoneBrown Thanks for that. As far as I know 8mm routers aren't available in Australia.
There's no need for heated clothing, you know what they say: "The heat's in the tools!" :)
If it wasn’t for silicone laces mate, I’d have to have a shoe tie er in tow with me everywhere I went as I can’t tie my own 😂😂😂

I've not heard that, but always use interface pad anyway seeing as they just make sense to save wear
I got same holding but for my tablet but phone can fit in it to
