I always like how you give quick updates on other tanks that aren't the focus of the video! It's nice to see how they progress, rather than just before and after 😁
I like seeing tanks set up with different substrates, especially if there is a price difference. That way you can show us a comparison. I'm all in on the sponge filters too
Super clean setup! I'd love to see a compilation vid of the routine maintenance you do on all your tanks (if you haven't done one already). That's one aspect of fishkeeping I could use all the inspiration for 😂
Mmm ... not sure how that could work as it's the upwelling water that causes surface agitation and hence gas exchange ... can't see how a longer tube (unless the outflow was actually above the surface so water flowed out and back into the tank) could change that.
This is going be really beautiful. I like how you've started it. I think Congo Tetras would be lovely, as someone has already suggested. The have very beautiful finnage, which has a unique structure. Their bodies have beautiful iridescent stripes that are just gorgeous when light its them just right. They should into be kept with any tank mates that are nippy, such as rasboras, barbs and certain other tetras. As they mature they can sometimes become aggressive, but not always and I think the way the tank is arranged makes a difference, as well as your male to female ratio. Of course a bajillion of one nano species would be awesome too if it will be super thick with plants. looking forward to seeing how this progresses!
Some co2 will gas off but also co2 will come in from the surface agitation and you actually need surface agitation to see Perling plants cause you only see it in oxygen rich water.
Very nice, Ryo. This will look soooo good! For shoaling or schooling fish, I think veil-tail cherry barbs would look amazing. Or any type of white cloud. I love those little guys. All of them. Or blue tetras, or Von Rio tetras. lol. Maybe a couple smaller angels for bigger fish... It is going to look very fancy. I love it. And so sweet that Aquarium Co-op is supporting you! Congratulations!!
This will be beautiful! I’m certain you will pick the perfect fish to compliment your setup. My favorite filter, as well! I haven’t received the turtle sticker yet, 🙁 I put mine on my water bottle so I can admire them every time I sip water.
hi ryo , i just got gift madagascar lace from my overseas friend but unfortunately i dont have a high tech tank to support the lace , i put the lace in my 16 low tech with soil + pea gravel as cap for the first week all of the leaves browning and melt only one small new leaf left its been 3 weeks now and not growing at all is there any hope for my lace ? should i put osmocote around the lace? i have 17-11-10 osmocote is it suitable for planted tank? im usually use that osmocote for my land plant
Ooooh I just spotted a really cool plant I have to have, never seen before. It was the one that was hanging on to lace leaves when yo pulled it from old tank and you had another little pot of it, on its own. Kind of like a thin zig zag curly long stem leaf vine thingy lol. Do you know what it’s called?❤️🇦🇺
So awesome of Aquarium Co-op to send you this stuff! Have you seen there new nets? They are all carbon fiber and mesh for the net. You can break them down for easy storage too. I also love they are working on their own aquarium lights. I can’t wait to those come out because they are going to have a lot of premium features on it. The fish room is looking better and better every video Ryo. Keep up the good work. 👏🏼👍🏼
Thank you Josh! Yeah, aquarium co-op is the best! I do like their carbon fiber nets but I think I’d still prefer my cheap green nets. I’ve done some research and have found that fish tend to be easier to net out when the net is green. White and blue nets scare them away more. Of course there’s no real evidence but that’s just what I’ve found 😅😅
Are you ok in the head? You have any idea how big this plant gets IF you manage to make it grow well? How does a 6 foot long leaf sound? 20 of them? Get lost.
What fish would you add in this tank?!?
Galaxy Danios
congo tetra they are absolutely gorgeous
tiger barb
Diamond Tetras become beautiful as they mature. Just like the Madagascar lace plants will.
Colombian and lemon tetras
Cory from aquarium co-op is really cool. I enjoy watching his videos especially when he travels.

That light sure does look great on that tank!
That is a beautiful light for a very cool plant!
Lucky guy. Aquarium co op is amazing. Xx
lol teach me your ways! I need to be able to snap my fingers and get things done in my fish room. Your fish room is really coming together!
You definitely need to come to Seattle & visit Aquarium Co-op. I recently visited their shop for the first time and was so impressed.
ooooo, a massive school of chili rasboras will look stunning❤
I love your rainbow fishes!

I like that gravel a lot!
Wrgb pro is truely a BEAST ! 😍😍😍 chihiros are the best brand up there along with ada thats for sure !
Maybe you can minimize the co2 gassing off by extending the uplift tube of the sponge filter closer the top of the tank.
That’s a good idea! May have to try it out. Thanks

@@wishitwasallflat201 a longer uplift tube with an elbow could possibly make it better. Similar to UGF
@@RyoWatanabee yup that's what I was thinking tube outlet would need to be above surface I think before it would make a difference

Or maybe a dward cichlid like kribensis or apisto? Something peaceful.
One or two pearl gourami would be nice too. with other peaceful fish. Or honey gouramis. Gosh it's so hard to choose!!
Can you make a jarrarium with these plants? I'm trying to do it but don't know where to start

Nice setup Ryo! Where did you buy the crinum tho? Ive been looking everywhere here in japan
Angel fish would be a great addition….. delicate fish with delicate plants ❤️🇦🇺
How come you don’t put co2 diffuser deeper in the tank? Would that help diffusion of gas in the water?
It’s personal preference. I like it in the middle section of the tank. ADA also puts their diffusers in the mid range
Rainbow fish is very good looking, yesterday i bought 2 pairs.
That’s what I’m thinking! I want to add some Boesemani
Hi Can I get some information about the terms of care, thank you.
Fit a drop checker or pH probe to show injected CO2 has an effect even with a sponge filter
Good idea. I’ll try that
bro why dont u use soil i noticed u out power sand and gravel only ?
I would suggest wave makers since that's the reason they have those holes in the plant to keep it from blowing away
Yep, that’s right
I would put Celebes rainbow fish in the tank.
I CAN BET, the music is from Swif7. Am I right?

can a volcanic rock can be temporary replace to ada power sand? can volcanic rock can support beneficial bacteria?
Yup, you can use small lava rock or pumice. But Ada powersand has nutrients in it to promote plant growth
Can i have some of that aquarium co op sponge filter 😔😔
Shizuoka area
If you ever go to aquarium co-op let me know I'm local and would love to hang out I'll buy you lunch
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
love the plants
Aquarium Co-Op sponge filters and liquid fertilizer are the best. Corey talks too much though 🤣
For you! For me he hardly talks enough :)
Does mom still keep yr crossback aro?
No, I rehomed my aro. Sold to another guy
I think the "Buce" option in the light refers to Bucephalandras
Yes, you’re right
G’ets barbes and guramis in this akvarium 🙏🤩🇩🇰🇩🇰
Your fish room is coming along splendidly. Awesome work Ryo. 😊
Thank you :)
I like the cheaper gravel look
Yeah, I like brown gravel but I will save it for another project :)
Madagascar rainbows?

How do you manage to spend so much money on ada products
Work and save :) I don’t have a ton of ada products though. Also know that Ada is slightly cheaper in Japan than other countries
@@RyoWatanabee nice advice man ,ok import taxes
CO2 all the way. I look forward to seeing the lace plants, those are wild!
Ryo Watanabe after the he is lose to ryan cooper

Well that’s why you trim it regularly to keep it compact
