The Temple of Luxor Egypt at Sunset

This beautiful temple is located on the Nile in the city of Luxor (Ancient Themes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE.
Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned. There are chapels built by Amenhotep III, Alexander the Great, Tutankhamun (King Tut) and Ramesses II
We arrived at sunset, just as the call to prayer was heard from a nearby mosque. It made for a truly beautiful experience.
