Embark on a cooking journey with us as we support each other in the kitchen. Our mental health journey as partners has been difficult due to the unfamiliarity of this stage in our relationship.
We have had misunderstandings about various aspects of our lives, including money, duties, religion, and politics.
However, we have come to understand that gender roles do not have to be defined by our culture, environment, or society.
Taking on the responsibility of providing for our family financially while also actively participating in household duties like cooking, cleaning, putting our sons to bed, and being fully involved in the home with his sons, has made me as a woman realize that nothing is impossible for this reason, I’m grateful for a partner who is willing to make changes, when times is challenging.
It has been a privilege to witness our growth together. We invite you to share your experiences, learn with us, and see that relationships can be challenging but can also be worked on together to provide each other with the support and care that is needed.
