He bought a beat from Kujo Beats that contained a unlicenced sample. Kujo and his gf were trying to sue for a CRAZY amount..
I was going to try to explain.
But, Ren has a 30 min. video on his channel laying it all out.
At one point, Ren offered to do a track together at a 50/50 split.
Dude turned him down.
Career Suicide.
Yeah, he said this one came from a place of VERY personal anger.
Way to use CREATIVE EXPRESSION to CLEAR the pallet and MOVE ON.

Ren posted a video last week outlining the whole situation showing all the messages he had between Kujo and his girlfriend that is backing the anger in this song. He took Sick Boi down from RUclips and all streaming platforms because Kujo used a sample not cleared in a beat that REN bought from Kujo and used in the Sick Boi song. Should check out the video to understand it better.

The very short answer is that Kujobeats is the reason Sick Boi the song and video are gone. Ren'll be remaking it with a new beat but the original version is completely gone unless you have a physical copy. The longer version with receipts is in Ren's 35 minute video - well worth the full watch. Ren went above and beyond trying to work the situation out (some of the reactors geeking the hardest over this diss are the therapists, it's hysterical). You did get the gist, though.
Proof of the goodwill Ren has earned - you walked into this blind and still figured there must be a good reason for such a brutal song and video.

I'll echo other recommendations for you to watch Ren's video explaining this whole thing. I have to say, Ren was soooooo justified in creating this! And I think this is what art is all about: processing emotions.

The first section is Ren talking to Ren (think Hi Ren). He says it's not Hi Ren II, then references the pendulum swing. He also reverses the "hope is the voice that you hear when you listen the noose on the rope" line. Turned it into, "the rope that can coke a bitch, pale."
When he says, "Fuck it," that's the angel giving up and letting the devil win. The rest of the song is directed at Kujo and his girlfriend.
I think this is the best rapping I've heard from Ren yet.
You have a no idea of the actual background and getting to the actual reason describing everything almost exactly is phenomenal to me.

I don’t think I will ever quite understand how it all went from Kujo selling a beat with a stolen sample and the owners getting in touch for the publishing money they’re owed to then somehow escalating into Kujo and his attorney using a mistake made by others, not Ren himself, to demand money from Ren as if he was the thief. It’s like there’s a huge gap and I suspect it’s between Kujo’s ears 👀
But at least we got this righteous rage! Ren showed us exactly what happens when you push the nicest guy in the industry too far… he needed to let the anger out somehow and boy did he do just that 🔥
Ren just made history and we all went crazy! Our sick boi was wronged and the hype to see him release his anger was insane. Pretty sure there were like twice the amount of people in chat for the premiere than we’ve seen before and so many reactors heard his call for support ❤️
It’s interesting that the community is so passionate because of how genuinely nice Ren is, yet we all LOVE seeing this side of him 😂 But as much as we love it and would love a part 2, for Ren’s sake I hope this is the end of it. He’s been through enough over this and just wants to move on 🖤

Going into this cold you actually did pretty well. There's so much that's happened and you were spot on that this was Ren working out his anger. This was about a stolen sample, a copywrite issue and greed interfering with common sense.

I loved this reaction. You still got a good feel of the song without knowing the background. Ren did a video explaining the situation, which is a good watch to catch up on everything. The anger was totally justified after months of being gaslit, lied to and when he tried to be reasonable he was shut down time and again. Kujo made some bad decisions. I hope it ends here. Ren has had enough.

Kujo hit his sick Boi with copyright stike and pulled the song. Ren sat down with You Yube exec since this song and Sick Boi us back up. Kujo sold him a beat with an incleared sample. Then he and his girlfiend tried to extort money from Ren and spread lies on social media. Falsufied documents, gf threated to break hus kbeecaps. Basicalky stupidly rejected all Ren's offers.
