I'd been browsing jewellery yesterday and now I've been blessed with the perfect guide. I think Tim is collecting my data.
Haha I know everything 😈
same just bought my first necklace two days ago
@@TimDessaint Hey, I'm not mad! Just... curious...
Also, I didn't expect you to respond to me lol. Been binging your vids lately and I'm loving them all. Best believe you're gonna help me look fly when lockdown is over XD.
*_TIM DESSAINT WANTS TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION_*
I think it's the way around , jesus ?
I go full Johnny Depp. You can hear me coming from a mile away. Love it.
same, theres something so satisfying about the feel of a bunch of jewelry
Same here 😂
@@Guilherme81 yep, gotta love that guns n roses slash style
@@michaelalderson-brownhaha same!! but i wouldn't wear ALL of my jewelry, it feels good but 1-2 rings and a watch for me is still king
@@0638 yeah absolutely, i mostly stack bracelets on the opposite wrist to my watch, a couple of rings, and a necklace
PERFECT TIMING MY JEWELRY JUST ARRIVED, LETS GO TIM!!!!
Haha "TIM"ing
That’s exciting! What did you get?
@@sebastian3112 lol
I’m a woman who doesn’t necessarily like dressing masculine but I do enjoy very gender neutral, minimal looks and you fit that style so well it’s crazy. I love your content man keep at it king
Is there a rule that there needs to be at least one of these comments under every Tim Dessaint video or what
@@vainbow4632 so?
Style has no gender,we be the ones putting labels on stuff,so power to you,and keep that minimal style up 💯💯💯
@@ainoaguy What is gender netural and minimal is often similar to masculine style. In my opinion, both feminine and masculine should be gender-netural, and for all.
@@vainbow4632 jelousy stinks
So sad that in 2021 we still need to clarify that wearing jewelry doesn’t say anything about your sexual identity
Wearing pearls does
@@olearyeugene who says that? Who decided that pearls are for women? Pearls are for those who like them, the rest is just fragile masculinity
@@repper1999 nah. In my opinion they are for women. We can agree to disagree and move on.
@@olearyeugene dude, they are literally pieces of pressurized clam shit... they don't have a gender lol
****unless its a pearl necklace
(No pun intended)
I can't believe how on point this is for me. I really needed this right now. Great video !
Thanks Matthew! Glad you found it helpful 😊
@@TimDessaint how tf do you know his name 😂😂
This video is exactly what I needed right now. Ive got a few pieces that ive been incorporating into my outfits over the last year or so but theyre all pretty cheap and for experimentation purposes but now I want to start putting more money into it and this video is sure to help me spend my money in the right places
This is so nice to watch, men look so much nicer when they express themselves. Great content!
That intro 😭😂! Loved this though Tim, such a great guide and insight into the process 🙌🏼! Visuals on point as per 🙌🏼!
I love this feature! Sometimes the internet doesn't give you what you want, but this is an absolute need. Great advice really.
I want to add to the gold or silver debate, that besides the skin undertone, the hair color plays a major role. Like skin wise I'm more of a cold to neutral undertone but as I have reddish blonde hair and a slightly more reddish beard, gold suits me way better than silver.
I basically wear a golden watch paired with the 2012 beaded bracelet (so it's doesn't look so lonely on my wrist), golden necklace and nose ring all the time. Get a lot of compliments for how well it suits me. Not to brag, just to proof my point.
@tim: love your vids since I first saw one some time ago. Brought me back to fashion after a long time. Thanks for that and keep it up!
If I wore golden jewellery I’d look like an Italian or Armenian family guy stereotype character hahaha
I have quite low pigment in my skin and my undertone's a bit more towards neutral - cold, but at the same time I got a very warm blonde head of hair, likely also cause my mom's a giant redhead. so I just go with colour combos of clothing and jewelry rather than skin cause sheesh I am a bit of everything
wtf, I can't add so much detailing to my hair and skin color
i have a redder skin tone with black hear so i wear silver instead
ive been craving jewelry for the past few months so seeing this video in my feed is really helpful, I bought a Fitbit watch just to have SOMETHING on my wrist. love your videos, such an inspiration to try out new looks and be more confident in my style. also that DA Vinci ring is so dang cool im going to cop that.
Your the only person that I watch for fashion advice
I appreciate you 🙏💛

An actual legit well explained guide! I'm a jewelry designer/ student myself
This made me buy jewelry. Excited to spice up my wardrobe. Thanks Tim!
Feels good to be early.
And I think I am a 7 on the scale of edginess.
Finally a tutorial on how to put on a necklace for men, straight to the point aswel. Not sure what the other 9+ minutes are for though.
Thank you for blessing us with another great video, Tim 🙌
I have been binge watching your videos and I love your attention to detail! Your editing is clean but also entertaining and creative. Absolutely love your content 💕 keep being awesome
I usually have problems in choosin which pieces to put on and which ones go with one another. The video was of a help. Thx Tim. Peace ✌😉
As a guy I've only got complements for my earrings, If anyone hasn't liked them they haven't had the guts to say it. I find it quite challenging to find the right pieces though.
I got negative comments in high school, but that’s about it. I live in the south, so that’s probably the main reason.
I didn’t know people’s earnings ever got pointed out lol
@@brrr7949 I get compliments on them fairly often, depends on how good I look overall on that day I'd say.
How big should earrings be? 6 mm or 8
@@liquidsword601 same especially my family their Hispanic and their like “If YoU Do YuOr eYeBrOwS YoUr GAy or wear earrings 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️”
This is definitely my favourite video on jewellery so precise and answers soo many of my questions love it!!!!
Been a fan of Miansai for a few years now but never heard of Missoma's and their price points are lovely! Thnx for putting me on!!
I first heard the outro as "Keep undressing with intention" and was like ok, that's a good point as well. I guess
Tim is back with the fire 🔥
Perfect timing, man! Been waiting for a video like this for a while now. Great input! Thanks a lot. And rock on!
Yooo this come in clutched, I just received my accesories! THANK YOU TIM!
Super helpful video man. For a while I've only wore watches and studs. But I've recently started experimenting with various styles of earrings and I've thought about investing in some rings too.
I just got a necklace to get started on jewelry. Perfect timing
Glad I watched this video Tim. Thanks for the recommendations!
This is so good. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. Love your channel.
Perfect timing for this video! My worked started an all black dress code and I've been trying to look into jewelry so I can still stand out more. Also what lengths do you usually go for with your chains and pendants?
I bought steel divers and silver jewelries (so they can match) then I found out that I have a warmer undertone, so gold kinda suits me better. But I like how you said we can wear whatever we want (gold vs silver vs skin undertone). Thought I needed to replace my watch and jewelries with gold toned ones 😂
Thank you for this great guide. You were very clear and thorough, subscribed after watching this.
Yessssssss! I was waiting for this! Thanks Tim!
Damn! I was talking yesterday with a friend about a sudden urge to buy lots of jewelry. Better timing is impossible.
Loved that small bit at the beginning. Also, I wish I could wear those tiny ones, my big ass fingers don't like those small chain hooks lol
Great video as always!
I gotta get in on that ring and necklace game!
really great video, can tell you're experienced. also love how you put emphasis on personal taste, rather than always having to follow rules, though the tips you gave were great. subscribed with notifications on :))
intro got me LOL but seriously tim thanks for the video! im starting to get into jewelry now and you've given me a lot to get me started on this jewelry journey
Haha glad I could help kickstart your journey!
How coincidental that i was searching for men's jewelry and my fav fashion youtuber Tim Dessaint uploads a video on how to style jewelry LMAO
I'm loving your channel! Lots of style inspiration!!
Nice one as always, Tim!
I feel like Tim just looks good in anything, honestly.
Love the video and the fact that you are wearing earrings omg I'm so happy finally men have started to wear earrings and even im gonna get my ears pierced after few months LOVE THE EARRINGS ❤️❤️😭
I'm pretty minimalist, I would say my wardrobe is super basic, either plane black/white shirts or plane color shirts (all blue, green,, red, teal etc.all of which are more on the pastel side but no big logos or anything like that) and just regular blue or black jeans with black vans every time . I have both a normal gold and white-gold necklace, I used to wear them together but hated how they kept getting tangled so I kept the gold one on my neck and wrapped the white one around my wrist like a bracelet and love how it looks so that's how I've kept it. I'm looking to switch it up though, maybe add a ring or a an actual bracelet, really liked the video! thumbs up
Here's what I've been waiting for 🔥 🤘
Bro I keep forgetting that you don’t have at least 1 mil the quality is just absolutely 🔥
Thank you so much 🙏
One of the jewelry trends i assumed upon first hearing of it that i would hate is men wearing pearl necklaces, and once i started seeing guys wearing it i actually REALLY like it. But i think only certain kinds of guys can really pull it offul man, so i think that's why it works on you. I don't think i could pull it off though.
Been talking with my friends about jewelry then your vids pops up , earned a new sub Tim
I just like the way you put things into perspective...
What is your take on more unusual metals, like copper or brass for example? Also curious about wood, textile or stone based accessories. I have some pieces that I like but sometimes I’m unsure how to style them properly.
I basically just go with what feels RIGHT with my outfit. I never like to be uncomfortable when I have the chance to not be.
i love watching your videos in quarantine
it's gave me peace of mind 😊
Just as I started considering jewelry and accessories. Oh yes, thank you sir
my man i was just looking into this you’re on point bro 👌
Something to consider, if you've got the cash, is buying custom jewelry from a local goldsmith. Big retailers and brands are great and all, but mass-produced jewelry really undermines the business of selling unique pieces.
At the end of the day though, buy whatever you can afford.
Really needed this thank you!
thank you so much for this amazing video. I really learned a lot
A brand that I love is Vitaly! Genderless designs with a mix of minimal and super edgy.
0:04 Finally! Now I know how to fasten the chain)
I needed this thanks 🙏🏽
broo amazing edits omg, love the vid
How do people even dislike this video? This is a pure masterpiece!
Tim keep ‘em comming!
Bonus tip:- Accessories are good but too many of them only store your wardrobe space and you probably may confused which one to wear.
This was so helpful thank you
Great video as usual ! thanks
Thank you for amazing content Tim!
I have a question, I started fashion TikTok in my language, inspired by you and it's been going pretty well, around 170 000 views in one week. What I really struggle with is financing the whole thing, I basically went through all of my clothes and now I need to buy new ones for the videos, but I don't have money to do that. I'm trying to get a job, but it's not really working right now. Any advice?
Thank you Petr! Congrats on your TikTok 👌 I wouldn't make content that stretches you out of your budget. It seems like the financial aspect might be holding you back right now so I would put most of your focus on finding a job, and do what you can with what you have for your content in the meantime. You can get creative (no need to buy new things all the time, instead reusing garments and focusing on the versatility of the pieces perhaps).
@@TimDessaint Thanks for taking the time for a response, I appreciate it very much!
I think the internet has long needed a good video on modern jewellery, cheers Tim. PS: Your fits in this video also rocked dude. Especially that dark blue knit jumper.
A great guide, thank you!
Im happy you added the lounge wear
here to pass along the tips to my partner... and also for myself, mostly myself.
I love how this popped up on my recommended when I don't even wear jewelry
Tim Dessaint with a great guide as usual :)
I'm glad Devan on Deck mentioned you in one of his videos....Love your style!
na tim, you absolutely can’t finish the video without telling us where you got the pearl necklace 😂 ive seen a few shops but idk which is better quality than the other 🥲
My bad! It's actually from Etsy. They're not real pearls though, it cost me £8 😅
@@TimDessaint haha thats dope! would you recommend them?
@@jesusxandres I mean they're still holding together fine, so yeah if you want to experiment with the style and you don't mind not having the real deal 🙂
@@TimDessaint Where did you get the pearl earring from? The second I saw that thumbnail I watched the whole video to find where you mentioned you got it. Do you know its listing name? I checked both farfetch and machesfasion but can't seem to find it.
Tim, I love your videos !
As much as I would like to be more stylish, I don't think I'm your target audience :(
These are expensiiiiiive !
I think I'll stick to lucky finds in thrift stores for now, or even craft my own pieces from separate components and re-used items.
I got a lot of cool inspiration from watching you, though !
To me, jewelry is very precious and meaningful, the few pieces I own are all gifts I received, or attached to certain memories.
It goes beyond styles and trends, it's about wearing something that's meaningful and emotionally charged.
Absolutely! I should've mentioned that jewelry can definitely go beyond the styling and carry a lot of meaning as well. Thanks for pointing that out!
My target audience is anyone who enjoys fashion and vibes with me 🙂 You can definitely find similar, more affordable pieces in thrift stores. Don't feel the need to spend a lot to get pieces that look good and fit our style.
Always thought jewelry is not my thing! Thank you
Finally some good jewelry recommendations
Thank you for the sign to buy jewelry Tim 😂
Tbh i hate the terms "man/woman" style because Im a woman and i hateeee feminine style of jewelry.I want a masculine look but with softer touch.Love your video tho, straight to the point and no bs.
I love your take on "men" and "women" accessories.
Best introduction! Made my night!
Love men who blur gender norms with confidence. How masculine, beautiful and refreshing.
Great video, very informative and interesting, keep it up
New Tim video, let's gooo!
howd somebody already dislike, the vids been out for 20 seconds
I guess some people dislike the idea of wearing jewelry as a man.
In all videos people dislike for no reason.
The only thing that affects one’s sexuality is that: their sexuality. Some straight dudes like adding jewelery to their outfits and some gay guys don’t touch it at all. At the end of the day you’re just expressing yourself through your clothes. Wearing what makes you feel attractive to WHOMEVER that maybe and more importantly to love yourself outwardly as well as inwardly.
Really great man! Thanks.
Hey Tim! Loving all the videos, wondering if you have any talking about your influences or how to take from someone else? Much love!
It's frustrating how people loss funds in this trading, I really feel so bad
