Today is 8-30-19. The wait is over. I love the new album, it's great. But I would *_KILL_* to be able to go back in time and see this performance. This is the best part, imo.
That's great! I was fortunate enough to be one of a dozen in Isla Vista (UCSB) on Halloween 1992 watching them open for Ice T and Bodycount. 15 years later and nothing has come close to matching that show.
J.C.DOBBS ...small bar on south street in phillie....nirvana played there ...the cars ...george thorogood...seen many acts there that became famous...hard to believe its been almost twenty years since this was recorded...my how time flies
Just look at Maynard's eyes, that focused gaze... Looks like a young man that's about to burst. And boy did he burst with all the music he has done so far. If I only had half the talent that he has... ;)
Damn this brings back memories. I saw Tool @ One Step Beyond in San Jose back in '92. Band members, staff and fans combined totalled 35 people tops. Good times. Wish I brought a camcorder...
I believe this may the beat video I have seen on site. I have a full length RATM from Philly of 1993. I want to upload, But I'm not sure how to. I love the bootlegs rock on!
@TorrMup Maynard in the front, without sunglasses and hat, singing face to face to the crowd, with an awsome hairdo, performing eerily in his pyjamas... This guy seems to be nowadays long-since retired! It would be so good to see him once again.
I love the dude at the end. "Good set man." It was probably the guy Maynard was starring at, trying foolishly to make amends in an awkward state of fear.
have fun tryin to find a vintage '79 like his. they quit makin em because the silver paint turned green in the sun and it was magnetic and affected the sound(pickups). You can get the re-issues, but they dont have the same paint(which affects the sound).
I don't say he is not on a psychodelic, but for sure he is also a great actor. The great actor doesn't need drugs. He is just concentrated on his show...
I find it hard to believe that their earlier stuff doesn't have as many plays as their newer songs. I mean, Tool was so much more in your face with their first two albums. I still love them though!
Been watching these old Tool performances and had this thought: what if they got Henry Rollins on stage during these shows? Maybe it did or didn't ever happen, but I can just imagine the badass intensity o.o
That primal rage dance he performs at the end: That is what is absent in music today. This is what needs to return. Embrace the ape. The reality of this performance is beautiful.
I foyu have this whole conceret on cd then you must have that "wrench" (TOOL dick) intro with "Crawl Away" in the background. Does anyone know from wich concert is that song taken?
The guy he was staring at probably didn't sleep that night.

If you could go back in time only once and your options were either kill Hitler or attend this gig...
Yeah, I'd go to Tool as well.
That's great! I was fortunate enough to be one of a dozen in Isla Vista (UCSB) on Halloween 1992 watching them open for Ice T and Bodycount. 15 years later and nothing has come close to matching that show.
this is my favourite love song
J.C.DOBBS ...small bar on south street in phillie....nirvana played there ...the cars ...george thorogood...seen many acts there that became famous...hard to believe its been almost twenty years since this was recorded...my how time flies
Holy Christ, that was awesome.
But it's TOOL..duh. :)
did i really just watch Tool play in a bar for like a dozen people? no shit it was a good set, it was tool.
dude that filmed it is my hero!
There are like eleven people in the crowd (or so it sounds) and Maynard brings it hard. Love that
Just look at Maynard's eyes, that focused gaze... Looks like a young man that's about to burst. And boy did he burst with all the music he has done so far. If I only had half the talent that he has... ;)
That was such an amazing performance.
This video is awsome the originality and the intensity makes this so f" in good. To bed was to young to see that in real life hehe
Its going to be a sad day when this band retires. Glad to say I lived during the day of Tool.
I love how the intensity drops from A FUCKING HUNDRED to zero as they pack their shit and leave the stage. :)
I love all these video... they rock so hard! :P
and the 15 person crowd goes wild....thats great i wish i could have witnessed that show.
just amazing. What a song too!
Damn this brings back memories. I saw Tool @ One Step Beyond in San Jose back in '92. Band members, staff and fans combined totalled 35 people tops. Good times. Wish I brought a camcorder...

@TorrMup Maynard in the front, without sunglasses and hat, singing face to face to the crowd, with an awsome hairdo, performing eerily in his pyjamas... This guy seems to be nowadays long-since retired!
It would be so good to see him once again.
I was just thinking the exact same thing. Those must've been amazing shows to be at.
I give him a big respect..
He made it!
Respect for TOOL!
I wish I could have been at this show. It looks like it was fucking awesome.

Just doesn't get any better!
At the end of this song pretty sure all they want is a cup of tea :)
I love how maynard just walks off stage and is like. Whateverrr.
Its amazing that they go all out for a few people.
Hooray for not blinking ! GO MAYNARD
Fuck! God Gawd! It was so intense! Tool is fuckin nuts!

The best fucking video I've ever seen of Tool.

Punishment is chosen by those who dare to cross the line...so true
Watch carefully. HE NEVER BLINKS.
@Zachariahszz me too. incredible intensity by Maynard, but also thought provoking.
I love the dude at the end. "Good set man." It was probably the guy Maynard was starring at, trying foolishly to make amends in an awkward state of fear.
OMG I WISH I WAS THERE !!!

3:00 so intense. so much respect for maynards vocal abilities
I'm surprised of the early years of tool. they are more than a "rock" band, they are TOOL.... no labels!!!
Fucking amaaaaaaazing. Wish I'd been there.
I don't say he is not on a psychodelic, but for sure he is also a great actor. The great actor doesn't need drugs. He is just concentrated on his show...

He never changes facial expressions either....
woooo.... good set man!
"Good set man, you guys are really goin' somewhere!"
HE WENT FUCKING SUPER SAIYAN! 3:28
great singing =D
This is fucking incredible
He did do acid in highschool. I don't think he does now, but probably back in 91-93 it still looks as if he's been on it from time to time.
haha.. I love playing this song near Churches and children
Tool are fucking awesum!!!!! Lol listern to the tiny applause at the end lol bout 5people!! Lol lucky people but. .wish i was1
DDDDDIIIEEEE...love that, get's me through a bad day without hurting anyone.

It is hard even to imagine that the man behind the mic in this vid is the same man behind puscifer's electronic sound.

tool should tour venues this size again...fuck it.
@HappyMexicans hmm, i think your right. After all, it was the early 90's haha :D

Anyone notice the stick change going on during the song...? :)
i think a good word to describe maynards performance is intense. anyone agree?
WOW!!!
dude! maynard is so fucking freak! muahahahahahha!!! gotta love that guy :D
You're right! It's Paul D'amour!
one of my favorite tool songs!
"I should play god and shoot you myself."
I hear this song when I'm dealing with assholes.
@newworldorderlover What I can´t imagine is the few claps at the end.
Been watching these old Tool performances and had this thought: what if they got Henry Rollins on stage during these shows? Maybe it did or didn't ever happen, but I can just imagine the badass intensity o.o
raw power
That primal rage dance he performs at the end: That is what is absent in music today. This is what needs to return. Embrace the ape.
The reality of this performance is beautiful.
Luckily, James Maynard Keenan has said in an interview that Tool will continue to make music as long as he lives, just some may not be released.
At the end of that i was just like..... o_0
smart people knew

Does anyone know from wich concert is that song taken?
Watch them become way more popular after they're all dead (OH GOD I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THAT).
