Really appreciate these FVee guides Sambo. Learning a lot (I'm a Rookie n00b). Certainly improved my times and racecraft. The format/methodology is great. I've adopted a test+raceline -> AI race/no-raceline approach and it's proven very effective. Please keep 'em coming!
Oh yeah, thanks for sharing on Garage 61! I just saw that mentioned in the comments for another clip. Much appreacited. BTW in the analysis app, overlaying your FVee and FF100 makes interesting viewing. To my N00b senses the FF seemed a bit less torquey and required more gear work. (more 2nd and time in 3rd) compared to the FVee. Given arguably similar grunt, is that down to the Vee's gear rations? I also find the FF quite a bit looser (more pedal steering), or is that just me?
@@steven.j.heaton1850 yeah the Vee is geared so nearly everything is in 3rd. As for how loose they are, again you’re bang on, the FF1600 is far looser than the Vee but arguably more fun to drive. The Vee does often produce better wheel to wheel racing though.
Thanks again Sam. Had a good week due to your help 6/8 top 5's, 4 podiums and a win. Even got into a race with you earlier in the week but I was mid-pack in that one 👍
@@Sambo_iRacing - Just nabbed P2 behind you in a massive SoF👌- Took advantage of a number of calamities and used a bit of racecraft to nab 2nd in a draft battle to the line, just!
I found putting brake bias back one click helped me point the car through the chicane, saved 2 tenths after a few laps. Managed to get my lap time to 1.04.800 (I am a rookie though) 😂
@@Logistical Yeah I always dial that back a few clicks regardless. Got the hang of it in the end, but now its Charlotte which is a totally different beast!
Im really struggling with the chicane turn in. I seem to be overslowing it compared to your speed. Do you have a more exact turn-in point you could share? It seems like if i turn in later, then i have to slow down too much. If i turn in too early, i smash into the kerb.
Not really buddy. It’s just a matter of practice. I take the chicane quite fast as I’m under steering through the first apex (when I do it at full speed I can feel the car sliding through there), but slower is better when you’re trying to get to grips with it). I’ve driven through there a good few hundred times in the last 12 months and for me it was just a lot of practice and auto-reset in testing. Sorry there’s no quick fix I ca recommend.
@@Sambo_iRacing I look forward to it because I'm slow and I need all the draft I can take from someone faster (which is all the field in top split) to perform 😂
need this for the battle of the little wings today
Then you have my permission to use it 😎

@@OfficialAustrikerIRL yeah I saw that. Great result and huge championship points and 116 iR thrown in! Top work.
the most important , how the brake bias is set xddd ?
65.5 at Lime Rock bud on mine.
Man that chicane kills me every time, I've hit 1 sec of your lap though so I'm happy for it to be my first races in a few months.
Yeah it’s tricky but then one day you’ll just start smashing it every time and not even think about it.

Thanks...I need all the help.I can get.
Thank you Sam! It looks like it will be the first proper draft fest of the season... 😂
I’m actually looking forward to it in a weird kinda way!

Thank you. I was close then.
