not really rare, anyone can stand out if they want to, or they can leave it to one person if they want to, but i do like the idea of everyone standing out
The fact that these 3 musicians found eachother on the same planet, in the same country, in the same town, in the same time is like a gift from some Devine power. Its crazy, unheard of that they all were in the right place at the right time to make this band!
Nah... it's more like they were your ordinary musicians, and then they put the hard work in, grew together, and influenced each other to become who they are today. You are who you surround yourself with.
I've got to agree, this song in particular is nothing but riffs blatantly lifted from various bands throughout the last 30+years of rock. I'd say 95% of the guitar note patterns and riffs could be traced back to other bands.
Totally agreed. Sometimes even bands that have absolutely nothing in common feature the same riff. For example, Stoned Jesus - Indian at 00:37 sounds exacly the same as the starting riff from Mando Diao - Sheepdog. Some stoner rock and swedish grunge band ? I think it's just coincidence. The thing is, there's too mutch music in the world xD Maybe one day even the weirdest drumstep will sound the same

Its a cool effect how in the first two choruses they mute their guitars after so many bars but in the final verse they just play all the notes. Sounds rad, this album will be amazing
I can kind of see why the released the Drones songs the way they did. Psycho- check out this awesome riff every body! This album is going to be heavy. Dead Inside - that said, there will still be some experimentation so don't expect a drop D anthem for every track. Mercy- but a rock album none the less, don't get me wrong. Reapers- just to let you know before it comes out, there is going to be stuff like this that is both experimental and heavy, and everyone seems to agree this is the best track they've released so far, so maybe they were building up to it... I love Muse. And I am about to fall in love with Drones.
Charlie Burnham , this is a Mutt Lange's trick. For example: Back in Black (AC/DC), Rocket (Def Leppard), All I Want Is You (Bryan Adams), when the guitar riff stops, the voice comes forward. Mutt Lange is a genius.

Truly the best live band in the world. Watch the videos from their legendary mega-concert at Wembley stadium in 2007. Unreal. They've won "Best Live Band" awards over and over. Check this - just sick: ruclips.net/video/2jKa_0xnTfU/видео.html
Recently I was watching a top 10 best guitarists ever program. Predictably, Clapton, Page, and Gilmour were on the list, with Hendrix as number one. That list really needs updating!!!!! I’d rate Bellamy as possibly the greatest.
This album is like Black Holes and Revelations, only with slight modernisations... This is why I love Muse, they change, just not too much so the old school Muse is still there.
totally true man, I'm sorry for my rude comment earlier. The thing is that, in my opinion, Black Holes and Revelations has so many more good and innovative songs than Drones. For example, Psycho's main riff is a riff that the band has been playing for over 10 years and for example... take the intro of the song "reapers" and now listen to Van Halen's intro of the song "Hot for Teacher". I'm not saying is a bad album, but Black Holes and Revelations had so much more than this one that I find it profoundly difficult to compare them. Sorry again for the rude comment and I hope you have a good day! (: xxx!
It's fine, really. I can actually see why you dislike this album now. Y'know, it's actually kind of refreshing to see someone actually respond maturely and actually apologize on RUclips, you don't see that quite often. I hope you have a great day as well, man!
My room's four walls gonna handle that drum/bassline/guitar from today till I get tired of this song, whether they like it or not. I'm gonna blast it hard!!! And seriously, Christopher Wolstenbeast is a legendary badass but is still criminally being overlooked.
Mercy, psycho and dead inside are the shit of all shit! They're amazeballs! Reapers rocks! I love em! It's better than vegemite on toast... and that's bloody saying something!
***** How coincidental; love everything this band has ever done, love this song, love reading these comments, love Halo and absolutely adore your channel. ^_^ Tell Wangtime that I said "good wang."
***** As a long time Muse fan (owning twenty one of their albums and singles,) I can concur that this is album is sounding bloody brilliant, this especially. \^=^/
I love how Muse blends in tough subjects like this into excellent songs. It's lost on a lot of people though. People don't really give a shed about much
Has anyone else noticed how on the drone cam in the bottom right hand corner there is 'HE-3'? He-3 meaning Helium-3, a reference to Explorers from The 2nd Law. Muse are even cleverer than I thought!
+Cat Actual such an anti drones song. Drones scare the shit outta me, and the UK have actually started using them in warfare... I'm scared that this album is coming true in my lifetime..
Goddamnit, I don’t think I will ever not love Muse. Regardless of what style I’m in the mood for, they usually have a song for me if I’m willing to listen. And it always has their specific interpretation, which then makes me want to listen to more of their stuff. Goddamnit.
Surprised no one has mentioned the MASSIVE nod to the outro in "Freedom" by Rage Against The Machine in this. A song that they have used as a live outro for many years. Not that I'm complaining that Muse are starting to take influence from Rage again...
+Cooro "Snow" Fox I don't see your point? I was backing up the relationship that the band have had with that song, ie I've not just plucked it out of thin air. Psycho was modelled on an original Muse riff not a cover.
Cammy McPherson the entire end of the track is about the same as "freedom", just lack of a ..."Anger is a gift"... in a sweety pumped breath by Matthew De La Rocha "Solo I'm a soloist on a solo list!" Freeeeeeedoooooom yeeeeeeeeahhhhhh!!!! Right!!
As a drone operator, seeing the Predator drone just hovering is hilariously unrealistic yet terrifying. My guess is they probably shot this with a Phantom drone with a specialized thermal camera. I thought it was the Mavic Enterprise at first, but the Mavic only came out in 2016, and this song was released a year before. As a Muser, fuck me, this is the best song off of Drones. The main riff is kickass, but that guitar solo is definitely one of their best guitar solos in their entire discography.
TRUTH! I listen to a bunch of genres of music, but mostly all-- at their foundation, a form of rock music. Not rap, not hip hop, etc. (unless you count one-off tracks like Break It To Me, for example)... A lot of older people definitely just cut themselves off and refuse to even give new music a chance, and I don't mean mainstream American pop... but alternative rock, more hidden gems kind of bands. Stuff even like White Lies (their album "Friends", for example), or The Warning (a band of Mexican sisters doing some pretty sick rock stuff); there's a LOT of great stuff out there. Whether you're a fan of 70's prog rock, there's prog rock bands out there today. Or if you like 80's pop rock, many alternative bands pay homage to that sound, even including Muse. It's definitely harder to come across, but great music still definitely exists, in addition to the all time greats from the 60's, 70's and 80's
the level of how much i want to see this performed live is to a degree i can't explain in words

You rule with lies and deceit
And the world is on your side
'Cause you've got the CIA, babe
But all you've done is brutalise
Drones!
War, war just moved up a gear
I don't think I can handle the truth
I'm just a pawn
And we're all expendable
Incidentally
Electronically erased
By your
Drones, (killed by)
Drones (killed by)
You kill by remote control
The world is on your side
You've got reapers and hawks babe
Now I am radicalized

And the world is on your side
'Cause you've got the CIA, babe
But all you've done is brutalise
You kill by remote control
The world is on your side
You've got reapers and hawks babe
Now I am radicalized
Here come the drones!
Here come the drones!
Here come the drones!
Thank you ❤
Thanks
This is UNREAL.
You can tell Matt is a big fan of Eddie Van Halen and Tom Morello. Excellent guitarist. I bet they're killer live.
You can t imagine how they are live, just beasts...
They’re honestly surreal live
Truly the best live band in the world. Watch the videos from their legendary mega-concert at Wembley stadium in 2007. Unreal. They've won "Best Live Band" awards over and over. Check this - just sick:
ruclips.net/video/2jKa_0xnTfU/видео.html
They’re incredible live but some of the songs are better as studio versions
F
Eargasm with 0:00 to 6:00

+CepFinsFilms I bet you feel stupid.
where is 6:00??? i only see up to 5:59 :(
TryHardDota ha ha! the official track music lasts 6 minutes and RUclips just cut the clip)
TryHardDota it takes a full second after the video is over just to process wtf you just listened to
Recently I was watching a top 10 best guitarists ever program. Predictably, Clapton, Page, and Gilmour were on the list, with Hendrix as number one. That list really needs updating!!!!!
I’d rate Bellamy as possibly the greatest.
Muse can be very very heavy, if they want to be. Awesome
Hans Cho i so love them
They’re different but loyal to my love
One of my fave muse tracks. It has everything in there! Just as good live - I have seen them twice and look forward to a third..........
This and Hysteria NEED to be in an action movie NOW!
Those guitar riffs get me every time
This album is like Black Holes and Revelations, only with slight modernisations... This is why I love Muse, they change, just not too much so the old school Muse is still there.
FlipYard don't compare this shit album with black holes, just don't
Well that's what you think, but I really like this album.
totally true man, I'm sorry for my rude comment earlier.
Wait... someone APOLOGIZED and TALKED LIKE A SENSIBLE PERSON? On RUclips!?
Who are you people and what have you done with the REAL Internet?
I see Matt finally remembered he can play guitar like a beast.
Maybe, cause he is one😂💘🐾
1. Reapers
2. Psycho
3. Dead Inside
4. Mercy
Gio Muse *High five*
1. Psycho/ Dead Inside/ Mercy / Reapers / everything else they have ever made ?
Same :)
Gio Muse 1. MUSE
Gio Muse man psycho is amazing
Pretty relevant right now
This song is a lot more fun when you replace the screamed "DRONES" with GOAT. Gets way better near the end with HERE COME THE GOATS.
KILLED BY (GOATS!)
Goat simulator
lol
Killed byyyy-----
*GOATS*
GOATS
My room's four walls gonna handle that drum/bassline/guitar from today till I get tired of this song, whether they like it or not. I'm gonna blast it hard!!!
And seriously, Christopher Wolstenbeast is a legendary badass but is still criminally being overlooked.
Need an update on how well your room's four walls are handling the drum/bassline/guitar from this song.
@@ninetailedfox579121 I need to control myself because many cracks poped up.
This song is aging horrifyingly well...
This song has so many riffs. this brings me to paradise, eargasm at its finest
if only the whole album was like this though
Cat S But, c'mon Psycho was beast.
Lucareeo Dead Inside was better then this one.
Ha Kou
No, it wasn't man. Reaper is Reaper.
Mercy, psycho and dead inside are the shit of all shit! They're amazeballs! Reapers rocks! I love em!
It's better than vegemite on toast... and that's bloody saying something!
Tim Allan nah it's better than marmite- not THAT'S saying something #letthevegemite/marmitewarbegin
She's a phsyco but at the end shows him mercy because he is dead inside trying to escape a reaper.
***** A bit globalised! (lol!!!)
Mr.DOO he couldnt handle the pressure
This gave place to a horrible battle, but they all found each other during the... AFTERMATH! Yeeheey!
RoM1il this all leads to him becoming the Globalist, because everyone is killed by Drones?
So sick!
***** How coincidental; love everything this band has ever done, love this song, love reading these comments, love Halo and absolutely adore your channel. ^_^
Tell Wangtime that I said "good wang."
Eager_Swallow Which comment might that have been? I do recognise your profile picture. ^+^ You too, thank you very much!
Eager_Swallow I somewhat recall that, yes. C:
Daniel Lazenby This whole new album so just so amazing haha! I cant wait to hear the rest! And thankyou very much!
***** As a long time Muse fan (owning twenty one of their albums and singles,) I can concur that this is album is sounding bloody brilliant, this especially. \^=^/
Our CFL team, Ottawa Redblacks, plays this song before every opening kickoff and it gets the crowd all frenzied up!
I love how Muse blends in tough subjects like this into excellent songs. It's lost on a lot of people though. People don't really give a shed about much
I love Muse's idea of a ''lyric video'' this shit is amazing!
Muse in live concert it's gonna be legen ... wait for it ... dary !!!
***** jfk is another intro to a songe I think it was defector revolt or aftermath
Classic pre-programming muse is so ahead of their time😊
Has anyone else noticed how on the drone cam in the bottom right hand corner there is 'HE-3'? He-3 meaning Helium-3, a reference to Explorers from The 2nd Law. Muse are even cleverer than I thought!
+TheRealXboxNerd it's their record label also
Thats also the name of one of the first record labels they were in 🙈
+TheRealXboxNerd Is it really clever to simply put the name of their label in their music video?
So an you tell me what Space Dementia's H-8 stands for?
H8 simply stands for hate :)
This is such a powerful anti-war song. Dang.
+Cat Actual such an anti drones song. Drones scare the shit outta me, and the UK have actually started using them in warfare... I'm scared that this album is coming true in my lifetime..
sunsetshimmer Same here. I live in the US. It's terrifying.
+Cat Actual wake the hell up it's pro war.
+sunsetshimmer I'd rather use a drone than risk a pilot being captured and tortured by ISIS.
***** I reckon our technology might be slightly better than the tech used by IS, so whilst they can try, they'd probably struggle.
Una banda que NUNCA me voy a cansar de escuchar, unica en su genero, los amo
Goddamnit, I don’t think I will ever not love Muse. Regardless of what style I’m in the mood for, they usually have a song for me if I’m willing to listen. And it always has their specific interpretation, which then makes me want to listen to more of their stuff. Goddamnit.
I hear Still of the Night by Whitesnake in this one.
Oh Art Of Guitar, didn't expect you to be here, nice to see you are a Muse fan
Exactly! That riff is so awesome.
Ésta ta mas brgs salu2 😎👌
I’ve said the same since my son became a muse fan years ago.
And the riff and solo reminds me of Eddie Van Halen. RIP
Greatest ever!
This song is still badass lol. So much rage against the machine going on
This is my favourite part 0:00 to 5:59
Now this is the Muse I know and fell in love with.
Every song Muse ever played is the best one they have ever played.
You said it brother! Same way i feel 1
every member is a pure genius these guys need to be inducted in the hall of fame already like really lol
Love that breakdown at the end, it always makes me headbang
Freddie Mercury up in heaven like "God, damn! This band kicks ass!"
Jonas Butler yes he is
How do they come up with these riffs? This is genius
The guy : How long do i run on this MV?
Director : Yess !
DRONE NOT NEEDED! FACE MELTED OFF WITH WEAPON OF MASS ROCK. *FLAILS AROUND ON FLOOR CONVULSING IN EARGASMS* GAAAAAHHHHHH
This is going to be the longest week of my life
j'adore ce groupe... merci pour votre super musique continuez comme ça les mecs...
Surprised no one has mentioned the MASSIVE nod to the outro in "Freedom" by Rage Against The Machine in this. A song that they have used as a live outro for many years. Not that I'm complaining that Muse are starting to take influence from Rage again...
Cammy McPherson Well Psycho is an Outro used for many years as well...
+Cooro "Snow" Fox I don't see your point? I was backing up the relationship that the band have had with that song, ie I've not just plucked it out of thin air. Psycho was modelled on an original Muse riff not a cover.
Cammy McPherson the entire end of the track is about the same as "freedom", just lack of a ..."Anger is a gift"... in a sweety pumped breath by Matthew De La Rocha
"Solo I'm a soloist on a solo list!"
Freeeeeeedoooooom yeeeeeeeeahhhhhh!!!!
Right!!
Cammy McPherson RATM have been an influence to muse ever since before they started. During live shows they would sometimes play some their songs.
Jake Edler some of*
Love the guitar solo. One of my top three I've heard in my lifetime. And I'm an old school metalhead!
Muse as always being as relevant as ever. ♡
This song was ahead of its time, when you think of war in Ukraine, and the power of drones. The song became literally true.
Palestine ?
@@againstthemachine5376 No.
My ears went to heaven listening to this
As a drone operator, seeing the Predator drone just hovering is hilariously unrealistic yet terrifying.
The whole song is awesome but the best part certainly is 3:08
This is real music. Music didn't die after the 2000s it just got buried in...
@@Atari-Dude I love The Warning! There's so much good stuff out there.
Buried by...DRONES
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SONG HUMAN EVER MADE.
The guitar riffs in the song really take you for a ride.
Fire! Love how the song arrangement has the old school Heavy Metal,Hard Rock vibe
This accurately describes today's world.
I have no favorite muse song, ALL THEIR SONGS ARE EPIC!!!!!!!
An underrated song from one of the most underrated bands overall. That guitar solo is fire!!!
Which one?
