Fun fact: the Fun is Infinite secret in Sonic CD isn't supposed to be creepy. It was actually supposed to be a joke. The name Majin is actually a nickname of the developer who does art for the game. The music is actually suppose to be the Japanese version of the boss theme which is a more cheerful and funky theme but since the US release has an entirely different soundtrack the music chances. The faces are supposed to be Majins Face but goofed up.

It's a shame they butchered the deep, emotional and creepy Spanish folktale with a jumpscare filled movie that isn't in the slightest connected to The Conjuring universe. Linda Cardellini was in that movie(made sense cuz she played supporting female characters in horror related media such as the James Gunn Scooby-Doo live action movies and Gravity Falls); oh and before you asked, the same director of The Nun directed that movie as well as destroying the franchise by replacing James Wahn as director of the third Conjuring movie. @@Sacrow One more thing. I was thinking of a game that scared me and my sister. It was about a man who got a letter from who I believe is his uncle(I haven't played the game in years) which said that he needed help dealing with the ghosts at his mansion because his ghost machine broke. So our hero goes to the mansion, where we have to use the wii remote to collect pieces of objects to help the ghosts finds peace. If you clicked too many times in the wrong places, ghosts will appear. These ghosts looked like steam or smoke that resembles a face. If too many re on the screen then they turn black.

The Easter egg exists in the Japanese version too, but since Sonic CD’s American soundtrack is different than the Japanese it just made the whole vibe darker. The Japanese boss music isn’t as creepy. It was just a case of Sega deciding that Sonic CD needed two soundtracks.

Great Iceberg folk; If you someday make a PT 2 I can give you some other ideas, for example:
In Splatoon 1 on the single player mode there´s this moment that when you defeat a boss and wait a few moments, you can hear screamings, bell rings and creepy noises
In the first New Super Mario Bros for the DS; I think that Bowser´s skin getting melted when we throw him into the lava pit in the first castle can be another creepy moment.
In Super Metroid we have to defeat this creature named CrocoMire which later gets thrown into a kind of lava pit and after we continue we saw him one more time but only his skulls getting ripped apart with a creepy scream he does when we see him
These are some ideas I can give you for a future pt 2 but still that was a great iceberg pal, nice done. 😎👍

i remember discovering that hidden room that has Mila’s nightmares inside it when i played Psychonauts when i was about 13. finding that by total mistake and not knowing what to expect or why she keeps telling you to turn back really leaves an impact cuz of how it strongly contrasts the game’s (mostly) cheery and happy aesthetic. the footage shown in this video does not translate the experience well at all. You’d have to actually play the game
oh and PS: i was actually hoping to see the Mortal Kombat 1 secret game over on this iceberg
ya know the one that pans down on the pit with the spooky music while it says “game over”. that’s pure nightmare fuel

Idk if you'll see this or if you've heard this from another comment, but I need to clear stuff up about the sonic cd fun is infinite one because I'm a nerd like that:
1: the Signing by the devil was found to be a mistranslation of "Madin," a nickname of one of the developers of the game
2: The music is a US release problem. In Japan, it plays the Japanese boss theme which makes the screen almost laughably non-scary.

    Suggestion for creepy moments:
Silent realms in Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. Basically you have to sneak around grabbing items that are called tears, while avoiding awakening two types of giant guardians that will insta-kill you if they awake and hit you. And one of the two types can fly.
I'll admit, I'm 19 and they still stress me out 😂😂

Earthbound actually has some unsettling stuff before you reach giygas, though he's by far the most disturbing and is still disturbing if you don't catch on to the abortion/rape/shadow Ness stuff. Tbf, no small child is going to reach him, especially since there are huge difficulty curves, the game is long as hell and it was never a hit with kids anyway. I played it as a kid (1st grade?) and I was already familiar with rpgs having gotten pretty far in ff3 (6 really but it was called 3 where I live). I still got stuck in that cave with all the mole bosses and later in the factory with master belch. I only rented the game, I didn't own it as a kid like I did ff3. I still remember being scared by some of the early game stuff, like the possessed people that attacked you with discolored faces and the happy happy cult. I was easily scared then so giygas would have given me nightmares. I didn't beat the game until I was like 18
