Only for zone 2 training (Inigo San Milan's definition). I use a heart rate monitor and follow a 1hr cardiac drift test on the trainer to ensure I'm staying in zone 2. I mostly ride MTB outdoors so there's no use trying to regulate my heart rate with these wicked climbs around here.

Definitely track zones - I use my Whoop band

Great video illustrating "zone management" in more detail. I am 70 years old and have been concentrating on zone 2 for a few months with good effect (power numbers rising within a given HR range).. I ride a trainer in Zwift. There is no one to talk to, so I concentrate on breathing only through my nose and occasionally reading (out loud) the numbers and names off the screen. But I never thought of paying attention to the length of my "sentences". THANKS!

Thanks for watching!! Awesome sounds like you're getting in some good training there!! Reading stuff off the screen is a great idea!

Love the video! Looking forward to this channel
Constructive criticism, I would prefer you cut out a lot of the repetition. We heard the same thing many times.
Thanks again for the video though, you gained a subscriber!

Good info! I appreciate the perspective that acknowledges the exclusionary pricing of cycling equipment.
As for the video, I think it'd be easier to collow along if you did a bit of an overview in words or separate/organize the video with the RUclips chapters OR use graphics to show where in the "index" the info is.

Thanks a lot, it’s always great to have a cheap alternative. Thanks for the feedback, I’ve now added some chapter markers :)

Great video and very interesting information. It also took me several years to get a power meter because of how much they cost, and I never really tried to analyze my effort based on breathing zones (I was just going "too relaxed" or "out of breath" and didn't think of the benefits of structured training).
Just one suggestion, if I may: Maybe give out the "how to" earlier in your videos. The info was great, but some of us (myself included) have shorter attention spans or become impatient 😂.
Thanks for the great content, I'll have to share your channel with my friends!

Yeah tend to show my map view on garmin and maybe a lap time view. Zone 2 I use mostly breathing and upper intervals use RPE and afterwards I like to analyse how I did on those intervals.
That brings me back, I wish that I could turn off the workout view on zwift, so it would not show my power or my power target, just show me a zone color and time.

Awesome that sounds like a good way of doing things for sure! Yeah that would be a nice feature for them to implement! I know you can turn some bits off but I don’t think you can turn off the main numbers at the top on Zwift!
