How I Became a Mural Fraud Victim

- Sigh... I didn't want to talk about this. But giving it's been a few months now since that incident and I can't keep it to myself. I need to explain myself of what I had to go through. So this is going to be a serious and important video you all need to watch and warn you of what I had to go through and the consequences of it.
See back in March, I got caught up in a a fraud going on in DeviantArt where random people or bots send in notes asking to do murals on pieces actual artists and commissioners post only to get scammed by these people and force to give money to the fraudster or people in their circle. I...got caught up in that scam when someone asked to make a muse out of a piece that I posted for the March Needs Moms event. Here's the image below.

Because of this, I was forced into sending out hundreds of dollars to random people before realizing that it was a scam in the first place. I had to repair all that damage and had to deactivate both my old DeviantArt and Discord account because of this mess. I was able to get back into the art posting by posting it on three different platforms.

I am hoping that I would be able to get back into the swing of things and I will be more cautious on those who will try and scam me again with this Mural Fraud. I hope you can learn from what I had to through when someone comes in on DeviantArt Notes and Chat claiming to be a mural artist when in reality this person was a scammer. I hope that this video will be helpful.

Did you give them your real information? Never give them your money.
Only my cellphone number and the last four digits of my checking and savings accounts on cellphone pictures. Again, I never knew this was a scammer until it was too late and I got used for personal gains. As I mentioned on this video, I block this scammers three phone numbers and had to change my checking and savings accounts twice for (1. fears of this person stripping me of what's left of my cash and leaving me permanently in the red. 2. the check this scammer gave me was counterfeit and I was locked out on my online backing statement. That in turn lead to me to changing both my accounts yet again). I was easily fooled by this mural scammer and never knew about this scam is a recurring thing until Cluedog warned about it after I realized it was a scam and had to step back on what I love for over a month. I am keeping close watch on my new DeviantArt and Furaffinity accounts and making sure I won't be dealing with this muse scam in the foreseeable future.
