My biggest issue with this device compared to an analog device is that it doesn't meld your natural eye with your nvg-eye very well to create one cohesive image. Basically it creates a strong contrast where I find myself trying to swap concentration between both eyes depending on the lighting conditions instead of feeling both eyes at the same time. I didn't even think to try this type of non-pano setup with this unit but now I am definitely intrigued. The pano setup might give more field of view but with this setup the viewing experience is likely more concentrated and seamless in feeling. This is unique solution done well for the dual setup.
I fell over these nvgs when I got into a night vision rabbit hole. I was almost tempted to try them for a budget airsoft option. I hated the goofy mount they come with and looked for a Wilcox adapter to no avail. Couldn't believe when my TV auto played this video. What files would I need if I wanted to mount a single nvg10 to a Wilcox shroud? Your doing God's work man. Now I just need to find a 3D printer, LOL.
Is it worth combining two nvg 10's into pano set up? From my experience, tiny FOV even doubled by pano(or rather it doesn't double per se) is not worth very much. I would rather combine something with better refresh rate, and/or bigger resolution. But then again, maybe combining two "tubes" in vertical display setup? That way you have more vertical coverage i.e. you see where you step but horizontally wide enough to scan most of room or so.
@DTT, Im looking to do an NVG10 bridge setup and checking the thingaverse files, it dosen't look like it's all there. The flat rectangular part isn't shown on the file images. Do I need to print two mono files to complete the bridge setup?
Why is their 2 different size mounts in the file? The piece I'm referring to is the 3d printer piece that attaches to the nvg 10. Ones thicker than the other??? Any reason why
Use polymaker PLA pro. Shit is extremely strong stuff. I used it to print a frame for my XD9 kit. Im currently making a bridge for my NVG10 tubes. Well worth the money
Hello, a bit off topic but i'm thinking about attaching my NVG10 to a telescope with a 1.25 size adapter. Do you think that is possible with this camera?
We have tried this and unfortunately it’s impossible to sync both pictures with your brain to see it as one. Great job anyway! I’ve made a super cheap adapter for wider picture- let me know if you want more information :)
Is that the adapter that allows you to switch to vertical view to have a better FOV when walking? Or are you talking about something else? I tried looking up mods and stuff for nvg10s but all I ever found was a few review videos (one that mentioned nvg10 mods existing) and generic ali/wish stores selling similar models. Couldn't believe I stumbled onto this video. I almost wrote off trying nvg10s as an option. Would love to learn more about these
@@Stormshift it’s a small wide angle lens that I put in to a 3D printed rubber housing that you just need to slip on the original lens :) you can use is vertical or horizontal no difference but you will see 200% more then from stock version. @@tech.bender Please definitely post more info on this. I'm definitely thinking about it

You can buy wide FOV lenses for them making It 40 x 80° ish, can't remember exactly but I got it and it's amazing

Not entirely sure
What lens caps/lenses you use? What FOV each unit has? Is it increased?
Stock lenses, the caps come with the units but I put googly eyes on mine, 40 degree fov, the fov is increased by like 2 or 3
do you know of any way to add a wide angle lens to the nvg10?
There's a guy who made a file to take a wide angle but I don't know if he dropped it

Wait, so what tiny screws did you use to attach the NVG-10 to the 3d printed part? 😅
It's the screws the unit comes with so m2x7

Do you think they would work for me with a 62.5 mm distance pupil too pupil?
I would say probably yes
Can you do an update with how well the bino setup works?
Soon
Need update

I saw u tried to tip me on thingiverse I did link my PayPal now you dont have to but it would be cool
Does the bridge increase fov?
Surprisingly yes buts it's marginal maybe 2 degrees
