Their channel was the main channel I watched in the summer of 2014 or 2015. These two are awesome people. Great videos. Always looking forward to their videos
The Bugouts used to be just a bit above $100.00. I should have bought one then. Now they are out of the question. I’ll stick with my Mini Griptilion sheep’s foot. Love that knife. 🎸🔪
First, it is so great that you are back. You were definitely missed. Second, you are one of the only knife centric channels that doesn't shit all over Benchmade. I'm not a symp for BM, but I also don't think they are the devil's tools as some would make them out to be. It's good to see someone on YT talk about these knives in reasonable tone.
Zach's stuff enters chat lol.... Dude is the ultimate benchmade lover. The people that hate Benchmade are the ones that pay full price. Find a smaller dealer and ask them to work with you, I have never paid more than 20% under MAP for BM and in some cases 30% under MAP. When you buy them at those prices they are right in line with what most USA made premium knife brands charge. It's MAP that makes people freak but there is absolutely not a reason to ever pay MAP on BM.
@@EDCandLace I just find it funny that the folks complaining about BM usually have a drawer full of Spyderco's, which are in some way, worse than BM. I have both, and enjoy them both. I typically buy from the secondary, so I'll let others take the depreciation hit when they drive them off the lot.
I love my Bugout and the mini Bugout. I do wish they were less expensive because then more people I know could get one (and I could afford to gift one). I think they're unintentionally encouraging clones and counterfeits by not offering a lower cost model. That said, the used market is pretty healthy so you can get one for $100 or less but only a small subset of buyers are going to look there.
“The rent is too damn high!” I love many Benchmade knives. The Bugout, Bailout, Shootout and Taggedout are all great. I’m really into the carbon fiber with S90v series of Benchmade. I did break down and get a Narrows (not black), but not for the full price. It was still ridiculously expensive, but I love that thing. I really want the mini version too, but I won’t pay full price. My favorite was the bronze aluminum with the black stones washed blade, but of the others, the purple mini looked best to me.
Q: What's Blue, But Not Heavy?!? A: Light Blue, Duh!!! I have the Ranger Green (535GRY-1). I bought it when it was first released because I didn't like the original blue & traded it off.
lol you would not want me to do surgery on you since I’m not a doctor, but sure I could use any edc knife since I would not be losing any medical license 🫣🤔 -Frankie
@@BirdShotIV Hahaha, nice!!! I like that answer, even though yall both steal the hearts of the knife community with the amazing content yall provide us with.
The Bugout is a really good knife, it just has the problem of being a Benchmade and thus being part of their crazy price policies. Reduce the Bugout prices by 30% and the premium M390 version by 40% and I would recommend them anytime, because it IS a great knife. I just feel like ripped off when thinking about buying a Benchmade. Which is a shame, because these knives are so good that more people should enjoy them.
I can send you guys a thumbstud I got a extra black one edit: I'm back yes they will send you a thumbstud but black only. I know because I tried to get green one because mine got messed up and they sent the black🤷🏼
Second or first? I own the green scale version with the gold thumb studs like yours. Bought my wife a limited edition version with the pinkish scales. She's been carrying it in her purse every day since I gave it to her and I think she's used it 2 times in like a year 🙄 I think you are trying to remember 204 something or other.
@@BirdShotIV Oh ok good I just wanted to let y'all know just in case lol and also this is awesome to get a reply from one of my favorite RUclipsr channels keep up the great videos.
@@CNYKnifeNut Me went with anyway the knock-off small sebenza from the eBay due to the frame lock. If it lets me down I will consider then the mini-bugout with one of the fruit loop colors.
I would have kept my stormtrooper bugout because it was a fantastic knife, but I absolutely despise how close the thumb studs are to the scales. Ruined the knife for me unfortunately :/
Makes me happy to see you guys posting consistently again and bird being back in good health! Keep the smiles going you two 🥰💕

Back yards are always good! That Bugout without the thumb stud is also missing a screw by the blade. 🎸🔪
Dude! I was trying to think last video who bird looks like, and I just remembered! Pete Holmes! hahah literal doppelganger!
Your backyard videos are the best.
thanks 😊
Excellent content. Thanks
At one time there were 16 production bugouts, I had all 16, now I have 1. Lol
Frankie I like the purple bug.
Frankie you are right that is terracotta. I could argue that is could be a Cinnabar or to be exact a Roof Terracotta. but that is splitting hairs

Benchmade made a Bugout in Ozark Trail orange🤣

I got a blue benchmade bugout i bought from my friend for $50
Hey 👋
👋👋
You guys sold one of your first productions to the Advanced Knife Bro.
I thought we got it from him? It was the tested one.
I've been collecting knives for thirty years. I have hundreds of knives I have never bought a Benchmade bug out
it’s ok, you can still get by without one 😆

Oddly enough I've never even held a bugout😮
That is odd??
@@BirdShotIV apparently, lol

Ms. Frankie, just out of curiosity...as a heart surgeon, do they allow you to use any of your carry edc knives for surgery on your patients? 😂

Just one word : Overpriced
For me a basic Bugout with ultra cheap scales around 200.00 it's insane. There is so much better choices

I'd take a purple with magnacut plz. $140
That would rather be like 240$… at least.

Benchmade isn’t innovating; they are just changing the colors of the handles…it’s the same shit…
So they're just like Spyderco now? 😂

Not really true, look at their catalog. And the Bugout is a best seller for them. Not like they’re gonna stop making it yet.

Do you know if this knife better than a knock-off small sebenza I can get off the eBay?
Would you rather have a brand new Honda Civic, or a fake 30 year old Ferrari built on a 100k mile Pontiac Fiero chassis?
This ☝️👍

Have you seen the video when a man snaps the bugout in half with his hands ?
Let’s trade a Walmart fake bug out for a real bug out? I have a new in package for you guys ?
