    These buses go hard similar to the 1998-2000 C40LF's, I do miss the Detroit Series 50 Engines New Flyer used but now we are at an Era of electric buses.

    R.I.P D60's....😢😤 1996-2019 It was truly a pleasure.The Game will never be same with out y'all in MABSTOA. These units should've lasted longer than they did but time is an essence..😪 Other than that Thank You very much Kal-El 💯

    When I was younger, I use to take these on the m101 when I use to live in NY, but left NY in 2005. I came back in 2010 and 2011 and they were still there. Now I live in Georgia and haven't been back since 2011. I'm gonna miss these

    Thank goodness for this review!
    These are personally my most favorite D60HFs. My top favorite thing about them(besides the engine/trans combinations) were the not just the rear paint schemes , but the black shiny rubber(black window side trimmings) shown on the sides of these artics just like @0:34 of #5693. These made them the most sexiest D60HFs. I remember in late summer 2017 , whilst it was my first year working out of Micheal J.Quill with my relative , that #5720 was my very first D60HF I've been in with one of my friendly operators . When I got on it while it was NIS , he made this bus sound excellent with his speeding effort . I also got the chance to accelerate it too(luckily). You know what , I'm serverely going to miss these buses. According to my 60ft list, these D60s still has more value than the LFSAs, but not enough to the XD60s. Since early 2018, I could never keep my eyes off of our recent LFSAs(2017-2018) under Michael J. Quills roof. Thank you very much Kal-EL
    I beg for them to preserve one of these!
    Note: The 2019 LFSAs are being brought in for the incoming L train shutdown.

    The engine sound is awesome. It's similar to the 550/B500R transmission used in previous New Flyer models, such as the D60HFs and D60LFs in Washington state.

    The last time I was inside a D60HF was at gun hill depot on 5759. For some reason, I fell in love with a bus 5739. I know 5739 was from gun hill for the Bx12. They gave it a Select Bus Service Wrap. Then they took the wrap off and gave it to West Farms Depot for the Bx15. I feel like I fell in love with 5739 because I maybe rode it before.

And the music is by Lonnie Liston Smith. The second bus music video I did the music is by Chick Corea. Imma try to upload them on RUclips as soon as I can.

    Did you know MTA was going to order one more batch of D60HFs (2004-2005 D60HF). The number was going to arrange from 5770-5834. New Flyer discontinued the high floor bus models for low floor bus models. honestly, I was disappointed when I read it on the wikipedia, They would probably run them in Queens like JFK, Baisley Park, and/or Casey Stengel Depot.

    • @ShadeJay
      @ShadeJay 5 лет назад +1

      Those buses were planned to be in Manhattan depots and Casey Stengel. But like you said the model was discontinued and as a result the MTA became upset with New Flyer. No new articulated buses were put into service until 2009-10 and no buses from New Flyer were ordered until 2011.
