I remember when I was 14, this was my very first crochet project!!! I remember being so happy with it even though it didn't look nearly as good as I hoped because I was still struggling, but completing it encouraged me to keep going, and since then i've made shawls and scarves and beanies and blankets and lots of plushies!

Dear 14 y.o.and 20 y.o. I will be 75 in one month; keep crocheting! It NEVER hurts to learn something new. I have sewn wedding dresses, a suit, clothes for my little girls way back when, built doll houses for my daughters and granddaughters. What a fun, challenging life I have had. Will stick around till I have my little turtle crocheted just right, and then some!!😁

I have never made a crochet project before so when I was looking for something easy I decided to give this tutorial a whirl. And every time I did the stitches I kept thinking about how amazed I was that I didn't mess up yet. Turns out, in the end I got myself a cute turtle with a purplish pink shell. It's so cute! Thank you for this tutorial and explaining every step very well, you don't know how proud I am of my little guy :D

I just wanted to thank you for making your videos. I can follow you very easily and these little turtles are so quick and easy. They go over well at work! Just something I've picked up along the way, but you can use cotton balls for stuffing small projects like these. They are very cheap and can be pulled apart if you don't quite need a whole ball. Just incase you wanted to know. :)

Yeah I have numbness in my fingers and I found all the other instructions to try and teach myself me how to crochet going too fast and unclear. But I too just made my first Turtles. I'm proud of myself it came out pretty good not as good as yours. And I love the magic circle I took me 19 tries to get it right because of my finger numbness but I got it now...

I use a bigger hook and bigger yarn doing my turtles which makes them a little bigger. You can always make more rows for the body and count for the legs to see how much you would need and then make the head a little bigger. Make the shell larger. You just have to practice it...

Thanks a lot for all your tutorials. You videos are my favourite crochet tutorials and I always look for your tutorials for making stuff. I made this baby turtle as a gift for a friend and I am really satisfied with the outcome. I hope you keep up the good work. Also could you do a tutorial on making a soccer ball with crochet? If you could that would be nice.

This is the first time crocheting for me. I came across your tutorial for a flower and became addicted! I love all your tutorials! I've made a few things and have a few other projects going on. I'd love to see a tutorial for a stuffed unicorn or a mermaid if you ever have chance to make one. Can't wait to see the more holiday tutorials! :)

I actually just finished my own little turtle. Very helpful for beginners such as myself. But I think you might need a closer shot just to make it clear which stitch goes where.
