Thank you very much for the video. The explanation is very good. I made one and it was easy and the little turtle is very cute. Greetings from Spain.❤❤
Thank you for this tutorial! I made this and it turned out adorable 😊 do you think it would be possible to scale up to a small plush toy? Or would it not really lend itself to that?
You can take a thicker yarn and a slightly larger hook. Then leave the pattern the same. If you take the same yarn as mine, then change the pattern. Make in a circle not 30 sc, but 60 sc. Then do 3-4 straight rounds without changes (60 sc). First make the shell, and then select the size of the small parts. And we make more paws, for example, 4 or 5 rows each (24 or 30 sc). Well, make the head rows of about 14 or 15, in a circle of about 30 sc (apply to the body while crocheting for comparison). Should work!
@@pattern4craft Thank you for the help! I'll give it a shot after I'm done with the project I'm currently working on. A buddy of mine asked for a turtle, and he wanted one with a detailed shell. This seemed like the best one to me.
We have 6 stitches in the first row then we stitch 2 scs in the same stitch to the entire row so we end up with 12 stitches at the end of the second row and on the third row we are going to sc in the next 2 stitches and at the third stitch we are going to increase wich means we are going to put 2 sc in the same stitch. At the beginning we had 12 stitches and we did the increase 4 times to finish the row so at the and of the third row we have 16 stitches in total (inc= increase) i hope this helps and i may be bad at english because it isn't my native language but you can ask the things you dont undrestand i will try and help again😊
Just wanted to say after a lot of patience I figured this out and can now read patterns! I kept trying and trying until it clicked. This was my first crochet animal and I made it for my dad. He loves it!

Thank you for this tutorial! I made this and it turned out adorable 😊 do you think it would be possible to scale up to a small plush toy? Or would it not really lend itself to that?
Thank you very much for your comment. Of course, if you take thick plush yarn, the turtle will turn out much larger. Try it

Very beautiful
Is it possible to make it bigger? Like if I double the number of everything will it still work, or will it become wacky?

You can also try doubling the yarn! I had to do that for a friend who wanted it a big bigger than the original and doubling the yarn helped a lot
❤❤❤ very cute!
I’m having trouble understanding the difference between inc x 6 and (2sc, inc) x 4. How do we go from 12 stitches in row 2 to 16 stitches in row 3?
We have 6 stitches in the first row then we stitch 2 scs in the same stitch to the entire row so we end up with 12 stitches at the end of the second row and on the third row we are going to sc in the next 2 stitches and at the third stitch we are going to increase wich means we are going to put 2 sc in the same stitch.
