- This is the fifth time I’ve run the Run, White & Blue 7.4 Miler. I’ve made podium (top 2) all but one of those times. Would I get there again? Also, this was a prime race test for the new Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3. See how they performed!

Congrats on another great race result! Appreciate the Puma Deviate Elite 3 feedback. I just made the plunge and bought a pair.

Enjoyed the race recap and tactical discussion! Great work out there
@@GrayGhostF3 Thanks! Good to see you out there!
Great job. I’m going to use the Puma in a fall marathon. I find it more stable over ASICS.
@@jerrydooley7551 I could see that. It’s pretty stable for a super foam.
Looked a great race, thanks for sharing.
@@mrgroundhog9790 Thanks for watching!
Great race in that heat and humidity!
@@jackjill2010 Thanks!
great job at the race!, congratulations!
@@jorgecastrejon1611 Hey thanks!
There is a race in the UK called the Frekleton half it is 13.1 (std half) and is situated in a small village in the county of Lancashire and is run mid June every year . I keep going back , because while it is a warm and lumpy race, it is the countries oldest half marathon (and one of the oldest in the world) .. very well run and very well attended.
@@JohnBirtchetSharpe There definitely is an appeal to well directed events and events with history. It’s not always about PRs and fast times!
Congratulations man👏👏
@@deshkanagrikhoon Thanks!
That's some great running!
@@PatrickStar-km1dm Thanks! Warm day out there. I’m still trying to rehydrate from it!
Nice video👌. Viable marathon shoe🤔
@@tono1665 Thanks! For some, yes, it is a viable marathon shoe. Two of the three female US marathoners going to the Paris Olympics will be using this shoe (O’Keefe and Lindwurm). And they used it for the trials in February. Others might find it a little aggressive for the marathon distance.
nice obr champ
@@skobodabaws8946 Thank you!
Is the Puma more stable than the Asics Edge Paris, I heel to midstrike strike and pronate a little? Slower runner around 5 min per km, is it okay at slower paces. Looking to complement my older Saucony Pro 3's, is it an upgrade ? Thanks
@@stephenNicholas-i9k it is more stable than the Edge Paris. There is definitely a lot of cushion in the heel, and it responds better the more force you put into the footstrike. I imagine that would be the case with mid pack runners as well. At first, the Deviate Nitro Elite 3 might feel firmer than the Endorphin Speed 3, but make no mistake; it has a much more energetic response. I do think it would be an upgrade.
@@thecaptainchas2820 Thanks for the quick reply. So okay if you heel strike and pronate a bit? Comparison - sorry with Saucony Pro 3, similar stability? How's the stability of Nike Alphafly 3 vs Puma Elite v3? Would Puma be better for midpackers at slower paces vs Edge paris and alphafly 3? Thanks
@@stephenNicholas-i9k definitely okay if you heel strike. I wouldn’t worry about the pronation either. I overpronate quite a bit. The foam is a bit more stable than Zoom X in the Nike racing shoes, and the ground contact base is wider (thus more stable) than the Metaspeed shoes. The AlphaFly would be good for people of all paces I thing, but it won’t be the most stable, except in the forefoot with those wide air pods. The ASICS Metaspeed shoes really lend themselves better to faster running and will be less stable at slower paces. So yeah, I think the Puma will be more accessible for midpackers and still provide a very propulsive feeling.
