I just got this for myself for my birthday. I have been looking at it for a couple of years. I paid about ~$250 and feel it is worth every penny. I had have it a couple of time before and I am so glad I went for it for my special bottle. I also got a Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 2012 as well. It was a Happy BIrthday to me! Glad to see you guys review it and agree with me that it is a diamond!
This is you guys at your best. Such a great watch. Well done. 👏
Thanks!
Signet is good but when I had it side by side with Bunnahabhain 18, I felt it lacked some depth. In general though, I love the roasted chocolate malt concept -- loved Woodford Stouted Mash too
Good review - something that I have actually seen on the shelf at local stores. Might have to save up for this one.
If you are going to buy one, don’t pay more than 200. You can find them for 200 or less.
Agree. I love this thing. I buy it every year. You reminded me to get another one. Cheers.
This is my scotch 🦄, glad you validated it, $200-$225 in my area Mi/ IN
Enjoyed the review, except for the technical difficulties that occurred wit the audio at one point when Dillon was speaking all I could hear was beeping.
I got this and I drink only one pour on Friday night. I enjoy going through the entire ritual and evaluating. This was one of the most unique and delicious pours I have enjoyed in my life. The scent was amazing. Smelling it made wanting to taste it so exciting. The mouth feel was creamy and the taste had a hint of coffee and chocolate AFTER I let it rest for a bit. I rushed and got a soapy taste at first. It made my mouth prickle and that prickled continued into the nice long finish. Second taste was better. It keeps calling you back for more. Well worth the expense for the full experience. This is for special occasions. I won’t miss getting this again.
Bourbon Central has this for $190...that is a steal.
Got one many years ago duties free in London for a bit under $200, 700ml. These days around my area it is $270 to $300. I rather get Glendronach 21yrs for that $. Love you guys review dynamic as as always!
Nice watch guys, sure we can see You're having great time! Signet was one of the first of quality whisky's I had. Still remember the shock from choco and coffee it gave me. Happy to be able to buy this guy still under 160 €.
Thanks for watching!
Completely unrelated, but I finally tried a Scotch that I actually liked! 👍
I was at Epcot tonight and stopped in at the pub in the UK Pavilion. They had what looked to be a nice collection of whiskies, and since the name looked familiar for some reason, I decided to try the Oban 14. As a regular Bourbon drinker who recently discovered a love of Irish whisky, I was really impressed. It didn't taste anything like those other types, but also didn't have much, if any, of the swampy peat flavor that I haven't liked thus far in Scotch. There's hope for me yet! 😎
Next time I go though, I'm trying the Bushmills 16 that they had in there. 🤤
Unnecessary update. I went back to Epcot today and tried that Bushmills 16. First of all, thank you to the bartender for that insane pour! I counted 3-4 seconds. 👍 Second, as good as it was, I was surprised to find that I preferred the Oban 14. I just remember the Oban as having more different flavors (complexity?), while the Bushmills had more wood or smoke that I don't expect from an Irish whisky. I'm almost ready to dive deeper into the world of Scotch. 😎
Great scotch....chocolate berries....I would argue that Hibiki 21 is similar but I actually prefer GD18 and Dewars 32
Way fun listening to you guys. Picked it up at Costco for $199
I've been weighing up buying this bottle or the Glenmo 18 year and a Glenfarclas 21....Loving the reviews especially the older stated or different whiskies. Somebody remind Dillon taste is subjective although he does argue well haha...
Great looking bottle! One of my favorites. I enjoyed the Signet tremendously. Got it for $267, but seen it being sold up to $320 here in Honolulu.
Great video guys…keep it them coming 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I'm a big fan of signet. It's going to high in price though. $260 is as high as this should be priced.
I just bought it last week for $210. The prices must be higher in the West Coast.
At the major chain store.
Found it in NYC on sale for 180, regular price was 210
I'm not a big whisky fan but I picked this up and can't imagine being without a bottle or two moving forward. Outstanding finish with this one!
Great review as always, is Ben the Butcher ok? Hasn't posted on his channel in a while. Just want to make sure he is okay
He is good. I actually saw him last night! He's just been busy.
@@CuriosityPublic tell him we crave butchering on the block when time allows
$270 in Chicago. It would need to be a triple diamond and drive me to work at that price.
$220 in NH, but on sale for $200.
$220 in NC.
Delightful Dillon doesn't understand the concept of personal taste.
$140 include taxes in Taiwan, but it's 700ml
This is one of your first ratings I really disagreed with. I had a pour of this in a bar, and while it was good, it didn't blow me away. And I knew I had tasted these flavors before, and I soon realized that a lot of the same flavors existed in Westland. That just happens to be another single malt with a high proportion of dark roasted specialty malts in the blend. I compared them side by side and the Signet is better (it should be for that price), the Westland actually made the Signet taste worse. I could pick up some of the same youthful notes in the Signet that I get in the Westland.
Defensive Dylan
At £140/bottle, i’ll drink this stuff all day long, one of my very favourite bottles of Scotch 🥃👌 and a great video review 👍
199 in NY a couple years ago. I'm stocked up. It's a good special occasion whisky.
P.S. This was a highly enjoyable review. Cheers
I need another bottle of this thing for when I run out of mines. It's too good not to have on the shelf at all times.
Signet was an expensive bottle but it was definitely worth a try. It was indeed a nice whisky I enjoyed a lot. Only issue is I can't afford it to be my daily 😅
I think, like a lot of high quality blends, this is better for a casual scotch fan vs die hards. Once you start to get into peat, campbletown, sherry, this falls flat to me.
Agreed and actually Glenmo 14 is identical in terms of flavors I thought
+1
This can be appreciated by anyone, being a “diehard” doesn’t mean good whisky suddenly tastes shit. It Audi doesn’t mean blends are automatically considered inferior. Wise up.
@@hoodwiser7652 However you are overlooking the fact that there are very similar whiskies out there including Glenmo 14 port which by itself would fool you
In Sweden this is only the equivalent of $191 at standard price in November 2023. That sounds like a really good deal based on this review!
I love Signet, it gives me a classy feeling while drinking.
Signet is a very good 180 to 200 scotch. But many bottles I prefer more that are under 100.
Massively heavy stopper on that baby!
I can get that bottle in Canada for $282 cdn ($215ish usd).
Duty free found it for 198 in Korea... not sure how other airports discount it or if it's a different bottling though
Forest Gump just got bleeped.
Can your next podcast movie review be Forest Gump?
You know, în Europa I buy this botle for 157 $. Good deal, no?
If I'm looking for a new bottle I usually grab the 700ml bottle when I'm traveling. Duty free comes in a little under $200 even after a price increase from $178.
So glad it’s 240 in my area!
we need a non-bleeped sub tier 😄
Weighted blankie? Is there a danger it might be too heavy? And consequently one doesn't wake up? I.E. pressed to death.
Dutch didn't deny the glue sniffing allegations....just saying....
I can get this easy for 150 euros in the Netherlands.
My wife got this for my old man the first birthday she was a part of the family, Total Wine has it on sale for $230.00
Still 220 in nj 😊
Do Curiosity Private members get uncensored videos?
Was Dillon more angry at Dutch for this review of Signet or at Jules for his review of Hibiki 21? 🤣
I would like to see the leader board to see how it's going and who gets kicked out.
It’s on sale in Ohio for $209….
I am really curious about what the bleeped out parts are😂
300 dollars. I can buy one, two or three right now for 165 euro a bottle.
If i usually think glenmorangie is underwhelming, will i like the signet?
Yes
Curious to know what you guys think of balvenie 21 at $300
I enjoy that you guys don't all agree. It helps to capture different pallets and gives us viewers a well-rounded viewpoint of the liquors. I'm glad to have found you guys.
It’s nowhere near $300, it can be had for $200 all day long.
Weighted blanket??? That's a spirit review first. Has to be!
I dont think id pay over 140 for it. Great scotch, but not over that. 300 i think its a hard pass
More than $300 for this, damn where are you guys based??
"you get lots of plum." Respectfully, YOU get lots of plum. Different people will get different things from it and no one is wrong.
