    #1 son has been living in his 5x10x5.5 WeeRoll since 2019. Four New England winters with diesel heater. He just now changed the tires and repacked the bearings. Going strong.

    Reliable shelter has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?! We have most of the 'gremlin repairs' worked out of our travel trailer so it's becoming more fun to use without problems. The RV shows are enticing and we have often thought of 'going big' to get all of the features... but, I keep going back to maneuverability and practicality. Glad to see you two enjoying what you have done with your camper, and that there will be a season 5 coming up with more adventures ahead! Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL

    I LOVE this little camper too! I like the white ceiling and walls, smooth and you can put just about ANYthing up if you want to 'redecorate'. The size is perfect, big enough for all necessities and for extras and luxuries, limited only by your imagination. And tall enough to stand up in. Strong and sturdy, DEPENDABLE! You know how long I've been 'grounded' but during that time I always view campers and trailers and I've not seen any other setup that I liked as much as your Weeroll. Especially considering the cost. Lots of love to you guys! Hope to see you on the trail again sometime. ♥🧡

      Thanks so much for the sweet comment, Diane. We are leaving Thursday for a quick long weekend to our Suwannee music festival near Live Oak, Florida. We've gone twice a year since '06 and see lots of our favorite bands and camp with great friends.
      We're really looking forward to it.
      Hope to see you soon!

    I've been watching your videos because I'm planning on moving to a cargo trailer setup. I went out to Idaho this summer in a teardrop, and it was fine for me, but with smaller axles and tires, it really wasn't made for that long of a trip. My trip was a total of 6600 miles and I'm also from WNC. Tryon to be exact. You must be nearby looking at the neighborhood. Forest Service roads were also hard on the 12" tires.

      Thanks for watching. Yes, we are actually from Franklin, so we are close. We love our cargo camper trailer as you can tell and it's a lot of fun to build one out. Let us know how it goes, and keep in touch. We're actually sitting in the desert about 40 mi out of Tucson right now in ours, trying to stay warm. We will head out to Joshua Tree and Death Valley in about a week or so, and be home by about the first of March. Again, thanks for watching.

    2000 lbs? Have you weighed that using a certified scale? I'm building a 5 X 10 and hope! to be all up at below 2500 lbs fully loaded and for bear if you pick up what I'm puttin' down.
    Your trailer is perfect. Just the right size. Has everything you need and nothin' you don't. So glad to hear how happy you are with it, and other than the rubber torsion axle issue which is now replaced, you have had virtually no trouble at all with your great setup. Thanks for your report! It is encouraging to me as I try to bust through the anxiety of building something like this by myself when I'm not a carpenter. There's light at the end of this tunnel and I should be camping in it this spring! Thanks again!

    • @TheGnometownCampers
      @TheGnometownCampers  8 дней назад +1

      Thanks so much for watching. Well, it is an all aluminum construction so maybe that's why it come out pretty light. I did weigh it on CAT scales at a truck stop. If I remember correctly I think it's 1100 lb as it was delivered, before my build. As it's been a few years I may have that wrong though. My wife is saying that's right though, she says 1095 delivered. It sounds like you've got a good build going yourself, I'm excited for you to get out and enjoy it this spring. We're currently sitting in the New Mexico desert about 30 miles north of Mexico and enjoying our winter. We're going to be heading into Arizona tomorrow and then in a week will be heading to Joshua Tree and Death Valley. So we've got an exciting few weeks ahead of us. Happy trails and good camping to you!

    I will never forget meeting you two and getting a tour of your rig, because it was such a great set up, its roomier than our travel trailer(BUT I treated myself to my Princess Bathroom,lol) but you have it so homey with your pictures!!! I have recently bought a 1976 Beachcomber B-15, that has a 6.5x10.5 floor. No battery but fridge,stove and furnace all work. And Im using a small powerstation that came with a small solar panel with 15' of cord, and 3 led bulbs that have 8' cords! I only use 1 bulb and sometimes just a solar light that I bought as a porch light but havent glued it on😂 She's a project for sure, but she is the rolling bedroom I need! 😅 I will go watch your window video you made as I need the front window protection. I plan to fix her up and head back to AZ again this winter, and skip the -40 winters here in Alberta🙋🛻🇨🇦❤️‼️

      The walls being cold in the winter
      And hot in the summer and a door seal that is not sealed right I’m getting cold air coming through and heat.

    Beautiful set up. We started out in Coleman pop up 30+ years ago and now camp in a 25 ft Rockwood @ 5000 lbs. that we tow with a 2500 GMC van similar to yours . We are retiring soon and are looking at a Wee Roll and setting it up similar to yours with the " L" shaped sleeping configuration. How wide are your mattresses? Safe travels

      We went from tent to pop up to WeeRoll. We do love it, but it will be a big change from your 25 footer. I think I made our beds 33" wide. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it!

    How are you using magnets to hold things up with an aluminum interior? I love our WeeRoll but get a little frustrated when I have to make an alternative to magnets work!

    • @TheGnometownCampers
      @TheGnometownCampers  4 месяца назад

      Good question! 3M makes a metal "magnet blank" which is just a strip of metal of varying size that you adhere to not metallic surfaces for magnets to stick to. They're a game changer 😁 Thanks for watching!
