Beautiful! Be safe guys! Happy Trails ;)
Thanks Diane!
❤Nice❤ such a pretty place!!! I am having issues with lithium batteries and its got to be the cold! Happy Trails you two!!! ❤🙋🚗🇨🇦❤️‼️
Thanks for watching, happy trails to you too!
Welcome to Arizona! Hope you enjoy the desert and weather here. If interested, look for prickly pear jelly (they use the fruit of the prickly pear cactus to make jelly), try all of the hot sauces to find your new favorite, and explore the Mexican menu's for amazing plates of food (I really like breakfast burritos). Enjoy! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
Thanks Peter. We absolutely love the food out here in the southwest. We actually had a delicious lunch today in Tucson.
That was at the El charro, which bills itself as the oldest continuing operating Mexican family restaurant in the US. And boy it was really good! Apparently they also claimed to have invented the chimichanga. Cheers!
@ Outstanding! I'm looking at their menu; if they ship tamales, they gotta be homemade and would be worth trying.... I'd get Carnitas (seasoned pork) or Red Chile Beef tamales. If you go back for breakfast, they have a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. Chorizo is Mexican seasoned sausage, which is delicious with eggs/cheese/potatoes wrapped in a good tortilla with hot sauce on the side. Everything else is a variation of chicken/pork/beef and made into either tacos/burritos/enchiladas, so choose your protein and then how you want it served. Enjoy the Southwest weather and dining menu!
I've been watching your videos because I'm planning on moving to a cargo trailer setup. I went out to Idaho this summer in a teardrop, and it was fine for me, but with smaller axles and tires, it really wasn't made for that long of a trip. My trip was a total of 6600 miles and I'm also from WNC. Tryon to be exact. You must be nearby looking at the neighborhood. Forest Service roads were also hard on the 12" tires.
Thanks for watching. Yes, we are actually from Franklin, so we are close. We love our cargo camper trailer as you can tell and it's a lot of fun to build one out. Let us know how it goes, and keep in touch. We're actually sitting in the desert about 40 mi out of Tucson right now in ours, trying to stay warm. We will head out to Joshua Tree and Death Valley in about a week or so, and be home by about the first of March. Again, thanks for watching.
Hey!!! We r headed to blm camping at Ironwood National Forest on monday! We will be close to you again, two trailers passing in the night😂😂😂🙋🚗🇨🇦❤️‼️
Cool, we haven't camped there yet. We may have to try it on the way back. Cheers!
2000 lbs? Have you weighed that using a certified scale? I'm building a 5 X 10 and hope! to be all up at below 2500 lbs fully loaded and for bear if you pick up what I'm puttin' down. Your trailer is perfect. Just the right size. Has everything you need and nothin' you don't. So glad to hear how happy you are with it, and other than the rubber torsion axle issue which is now replaced, you have had virtually no trouble at all with your great setup. Thanks for your report! It is encouraging to me as I try to bust through the anxiety of building something like this by myself when I'm not a carpenter. There's light at the end of this tunnel and I should be camping in it this spring! Thanks again!
Thanks so much for watching. Well, it is an all aluminum construction so maybe that's why it come out pretty light. I did weigh it on CAT scales at a truck stop. If I remember correctly I think it's 1100 lb as it was delivered, before my build. As it's been a few years I may have that wrong though. My wife is saying that's right though, she says 1095 delivered. It sounds like you've got a good build going yourself, I'm excited for you to get out and enjoy it this spring. We're currently sitting in the New Mexico desert about 30 miles north of Mexico and enjoying our winter. We're going to be heading into Arizona tomorrow and then in a week will be heading to Joshua Tree and Death Valley. So we've got an exciting few weeks ahead of us. Happy trails and good camping to you!
❤this was a Bucket List for me❤ but I passed on it bcuz of the online registration...I like just showing up😅😅😅😅
Yes, we got lucky with a cancellation last time, so got reservations for 3 days this time. It's a perfect little campground. Beautiful 😍😍😍
Was there in December ❤
Today is the coldest day in 11 years here, we're glad for the electric heat!
Nice bridge must have been cool to cross
It was pretty amazing!
Enjoyed the ride so far and continue to travel safe! Going to be a great trip to follow along! Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
Thanks, Pete! We are so excited to get there. Cheers!
Hey! Good to see you again! Love your new hair ;) Watch out for the weather, seems like it's gonna be cold everywhere for a wee bit! Peace and safety to y'all! I think Howard (from left tailrace) is in mid south Texas somewhere too! I'm amazed that there's little to no other folks there! I've missed your videos!
Thanks for watching, we are glad you're back!
Hi❤🙋🚗🇨🇦‼️ We love COE Campgrounds! I was recommended the South Llano SP but we went to northern Lousianna and into Arkansas and we are currently in LTVA Quartszite during the big tent show so its absolutely jam packed here!!! 😂 6400 miles into our trip and I only planned as far as here, lol, so we will see whats next😆🤪😍🌵
Quartszite during the rush sounds insane! I bet you are enjoying it!
Welcome back guys and Happy New Year to you too! You have managed to avoid the snow and ice in a fantastic way, the campsite seems so calming and not crowded at all!
Thanks so much for watching, friend!
With Gary P. Nunn!😊
PEI is one of our bucket list destinations. Thanks for giving us some things to do while we are there and places to stay. We are using your trailer layout as a basis for our trailer design that I am starting on now. Bought the trailer and am painting the inside now.
Excellent, that's great to hear. Hope you have many exciting adventures.
Whoohoo, Texas❤, we r waiting for you in Quartszite AZ❤🙋🚗🇨🇦‼️
Viva Terlingua !😊
JJW!
Hey!!! You two sure like to put on the miles! I was just thinking as I watched this - that I bet you find the beauty everywhere you go! We r currently back in AZ and I never thought I'd find such beauty in the desert but it has a beauty all its own! North America is quite a big playground we have eh!?!😂🙋🚗🇨🇦❤️‼️
We love the desert, too. We are currently heading to Big Bend NP. We've always wanted to check it out! 🤠
Yummy!!!!!! I was just gifted one of those big pots here in Pilot Knob LTVA!!! I have not tried it out yet but I heard of Hobo Stew, so may have to try that also....Wow! Now I got two recipes😂🎉❤🙋🚗🇨🇦❤️‼️
Hobo Stew is a great one to make in a big pot! Enjoy.
Quick question please….when you say wild camping what exactly does that mean? Does it mean you just pull over and start camping anywhere you like? I just got a Weroll and I live in Florida and I’m itching to hit the road but have never ventured out on the road with a pull behind camper before. Usual cabin or hotel but never with my new weroll. Could you please enlighten me on the rules and exactly what wild camping is specifically please. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Yes wild camping is also known as boondocking. It is camping on public lands such as National Forest Land and bureau of Land Management land, also known as BLM in the United States, and Crown land up in Canada. There are also other places where you can find to legally boondock or wild camp. A great resource is the app called ioverlander and it has lots of sites where other people have boondocked with directions, reviews, and their recommendations. Wild camping is easier to do in the Western United States with more open land, but you certainly can do some boondocking in the National Forest in the Eastern part of the country.
@ really appreciate the help…thank you.
Where did you purchase the trailer?
We purchased it from the WeRoll company out of Florida. We had it built to our specs and then finished the inside out ourselves. Thanks for watching.
I've been there before lol, used to swim there, take dates there, wash my truck exactly where you're parked , lived just up the Street. Been 2 years since I been back and 10 before that. Still wondering why I don't just move home. Born in Baie verte in 'took my family back in 22 and my son spent half an afternoon swimming that river . Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching! Cheers.
The window visor are so smart goid thinking
Thanks, and thanks so much for watching!
Nice video. Wishing you all the best and a happy new year 🥳
Thank you! You too!
What time of the year did you camp? Curious if it was during January or February.
This was during January.
I enjoy following your bike tips! 💖
We are so glad you're enjoying the bike tips! Thanks for watching.
Handy. Dandy
Thanks for watching!
Hope to get there next summer
It's a cool place, we can't wait to get back.
Hello again ! Praying you are Both Safe and Healthy.. Dec 5, 2024 today.., catching up on all your Great Videos,, . Quick question, How many miles on the Van you pull the Wee Roll with ? Year of it ? I never really thought of a Van to pull the trailer,, Definitely smart with all the room it has. What size engine ? Would you buy it again? Sorry for all the questions but im trying to figure out how to do all this, 😀.. Have a Blessed Day. Peace 🙏 from Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
The van is a 2019 3/4 ton with a 6L engine. It currently has 115,000 miles. As you can tell, we put some miles on it. The van is rock solid and I like that I can keep bikes and things in it. I only get about 12mpg while towing and 18 or 19 without. It's been a good decision for us. Thanks for the questions, and thanks for watching!
My Goodness, I hope people on that gravel road ruding bikes aren't attacked by any Predators....
They are as tough as it comes!
Love your videos, trying to catch up on them !! Happy trails .. God Bless 🙏. Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
Thanks Big Jim, we appreciate you watching!
Do you regret not insulating the floor ? Or can't it be insulated ? Must be a way to do it during build ? TY have a Blessed Day. Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
I was not able to insulate the floor, it would be nice to figure out how to do it for cold weather camping. We are heading back out west in Jan and Feb and it gets down in the 20's in the desert. Thanks for watching!
I truly like your rig! Well done. Have you ever figured out your hitch weight?
Thanks so much for watching, we really appreciate it. No, I never did bother to figure my hitch weight. It doesn't seem to be an issue so I just really haven't worried about it. If I ever weigh it again though I think I will go ahead and try to figure it out. Thanks again for watching we really appreciate it.
Hey guys...
Hi Howard!
Happy Turkey Day!
Awesome
One way to do it. It would certainly solve my problems
Thanks for watching!
Ohhh cool!!!! We are at Maynard Electric's Hurricane Relief Center in Morganton NC and there is another volunteer here who was just talking to us about an island he lives on that is 4x6 miles and they have wild ponies there!!! Maybe ai heard on my phone and put ur video up,ha! We r camped in a field beside the warehouse we r volunteering in. They sure are getting a kick out of us Canucks being here😂❤🙋🚗🇨🇦🚗🇨🇦‼️
Hey, you are only 120 miles away from us. We live in Franklin, NC! Too bad we are leaving on Saturday for a Thanksgiving cruise with the family or we could try to meet up. Thanks for volunteering, I am sure they really appreciate it! Cheers!
@TheGnometownCampers we are headed to Ashville and areas around there also to help, and then West Union SC to visit friends. I posted a short about it on youtube😜🙋🚗🇨🇦🚗🇨🇦♥️‼️
I used to put a lot of miles on an ebike. I carried a spare tube and a co2 inflator with me and some basic tools. The co2 inflator fits in your pocket.
Thanks so much for watching, David. I always carried a CO2 inflator on my road bike when I went road riding. I've also got a frame pump on my touring bike. And I've got a floor pump in my garage. But I found with the high volume, fat tires on my e-bike that the electronic pump works well. And it fits right in my panniers with my tubes and tools and other things. But yes, the CO2 inflator wins for sure, in weight and portability. Thanks for the comment!
What brand is that pump? Great vid!
Thanks for watching, it's the Woowind brand on Amazon.
Any suggestions on what brands to buy? Most stuff now days is JUNK. I’d hate to rely on something like this and have it fail on the trail or road. Pumps don’t fail. Thanks
I use this one and have had no problem with it. a.co/d/7xk9UQq
Great information, I had no idea something like that is available for biking.
Thanks so much for watching, we really appreciate it!
Did anybody camp there post hurricane Helene?
Another great and informative travel video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much for watching!
What are you guys using for an air pump?
The day i get a flat, its the same day the battery will be flat too😢
Yes, every time! 😂Thanks so much for watching!
