@@BelowAverageGaming I know mame was ported to the wii, but i haven't really seen much about it in terms of documentation on the lightgun game part.
I am assuming it works however, since on the PC version of mame, i have seen people using wii motes as the actual light guns with a usb sensor bar adapter.

It's not really much of emulation if I understand correctly. They have virtual machine games that let you use the wii mote as the gun. So from there it's just finding the games and playing it from the vwii

Sorry, maybe i wasn't clear in what i was referring to.
I meant like getting older lightgun arcade games running on a wiiU via emulation. Things like Carnevil, Area 51, time crysis, etc.
I didn't mean old Nintendo lightgun games that might have a vwii port.
Yeah but you could use your vwii and download the emulator SDL Mame and play them off that? Pretty sure area 51 runs on mame emulators.
The compatibility won't be great because mame emu never really is. But I don't think doing it any other way would be possible

At min 13:25 after completing the compat installer, the homebrew channel does not appear.
what is the reason. Everything was the same steps until I got to this step and the folder did not appear
please help me rq man, i followed each step and select triamisu on my wii u when it boots, but when i open mii maker it just open mii maker not homebrew browser despite the fact i've installed it, is there a fix or something?

I was watching another Tutorial to get Aroma & it uses the Wii U Folder from Tiramisu so do I need Tiramisu to get Aroma?
cool i must have goofed some how when i tryed it it said failed to load evvirment and somethimg elce i think it jailbroke it Wiiu munue still boots to the main menu is it ok to reformat the SD card and start over
im opening the mii maker to enter the homebrew launcher but when it does all that shows is the loading screen with bubbles

Yes, just back out of the homebrew launcher and it'll take you to the mii maker by default

I bought a wii u that had been modded at some point. I didn't get the SD card with it so most times when I start it up, it says it can't read a certain file. The homebrew discord wasn't much help... it has an issue that they won't help me fix when I did what they said.
Did everything you said I made tiramisu my default and press a. It didn't ask me no boot selection it went straight to the menu
Do I need to reformat my WII U to homebrew? If I do not reformat to its orginal state, it is fine to proceed as per your tutorial? as I do have some gaming progress would wish to retain, if possible.

Im trying to install the The d2x cIOS Installer on my VWii but when i try to select the cIOS, there is only v3 - to v6, not (d2x-v11-beta1-vWii), what should i do?, my sd is not locked and my wii u obviously detects my sd card
Those are honestly the usual steps to take when this happens. I've never had this issue happened to me before but I have seen others complain about it.
Perhaps try a different SD card altogether?

I did everything that you did for the sd card, but when I went into the website and tried to back up my files, it said "process failed, please have a FAT32 sd card insterted" even though it is inserted and is in FAT32. Is there any way to fix this?
Try a different SD card and see if you have the same issue.
Worst case scenario your SD port could be faulty
hey man, I've been trying to install this on my wii u but I can't get past the payloader installation step. My console just gets stuck in the white screen after the blue screen where it says "installation". I press A to install and it get stuck on the white screen with the wii u logo. any help?
If your Wii U gets stuck on a white or otherwise frozen screen, wait a few seconds. If nothing happens, reboot the console, reset the browser's save data and try again.

Could I still access the Mii Maker even though it starts the Homebrew thing instead?
Yes. Once you get yo the homebrew launcher just exit it and it should take you back to the mii maker
Maybe I missed it. USB launcher and nintendont for vWii. Just install through the homebrew store on the Wii u menu?
Those vwii apps have to be installed separately

It means your SD card is not structured correctly. Double check all the files are where they should be

Once you're in the homebrew launcher. Hit the home button to return to the menu. It will take you to the mii maker by default

Does your SD card have a lock switch on it? Make sure that it's unlocked and that could fix the issue.
You could also try a new SD card altogether

Try opening the health and safety application first and then open the mii maker

I got a black screen that says don't run the environment twice.
If you want to open the homebrew launcher, launch the mii maker instead......
But when i do that i get a blue screen.....
What am I doing wrong?
Turn your console off and back on and try again
@BelowAverageGaming i did when i did it sent me back to it every time.
Now i restored my wii u to factory settings and am trying again and i get the blue screen that says install and tiramisu.
@@DragonOfTHa3ast I don't know who told you to format your wii u but that was a terrible idea. You could of bricked your system.
Put all those files back on your SD card or your system will not run

what if i cant merge the folders because I'm on chromebook
Not sure if you have fixed this probelm but you could go inside the two folders and drag the folders inside of them
I don't wanna be that person, but can anyone help me out on how to get the v11-beta1 on d2x installer app, because everytime I try to get usb loader working, the v11-beta1 code is not automatically there. I did it on the original wii thanks to FunkyScott's video on the wad files, but for the vwii, it is a nightmare, And I have no idea where to get v11-beta1?
A couple things you can try
Make sure your SD card isn't locked (check the lock switch on the card)
Make sure your console is connected to the internet.
Try a new SD card
Make sure the card is formatted correctly.
You can try naming the card too.

@BelowAverageGaming So it turns out, that my sd card does have the files, it was just locked behind the slider as you said. But here's what happened, I got the wii u/wii folder from funkyscott's video on the wii u, and it still didn't work, until I slide down the SD card slider at the edge where the pin connectors are at. After that and I turned on the wii u on and went to d2x, it finally showed up. So I wasted no time to install the v11 files and thus the vwii now plays the wii games off the hard drive. I has liked "Thank God" because I didn't know if it would work this time as of the time of my comment. Thanks again for the extra assistance.
Funky likes to package up his downloads for people for some reason. You should always grab your files straight from the source (the wii u hack guide) Or else you might run into issues in the future with out of date files
can you home brew with an external drive?

Sounds like a problem with the SD card.
Try a new card and make sure it's formatted to fat32
