Cedric’s dad reaction to his son being dead felt so raw and real. Always a stand out scene to me in this film
Falling to his knees and crying. How else could he have responded, I can't believe some people said that his reaction was a bit over the top. I never heard anyone say it to me, but I've heard people have said that about this scene, like bruh? How else could he have responded to such a horrific thing?
The guy who played his father was actually the movie director.
Every time I see that scene I can't stop myself from tearing up. So raw for real
it's the most iconic scene of the movie. I cry every time
This was why it was hard for me to watch the next Harry Potter movie as a kid. The ending with Voldemort was so creepy and Cedric dying got me traumatized
40:27 [spoiler alert if you’re reading the books] one area that is glossed over pretty bad in the movies. Fleur eventually meets Ron’s oldest brother and they start dating (in the books, it’s stated that Fleur is quarter veela, so she has a magical effect on men). Mrs Weasley is not happy about this. Later, the brother is savaged by a werewolf, though in human form, and Mrs Weasley assumes their relationship is over. Fleur’s response is, “I’m pretty enough for both of us…Now, every one will know my husband is brave.” That really gives her a lot of positive character that’s overlooked in these books.
Seems fitting that David Tennant appears in the same film as the tent that's bigger on the inside.😂
Damn, I literally never even thought about that before 😂
11:25 “U PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?!”
He asked calmly😂😂😂😂
I swear, this meme never gets old💯
Not to rag on the original meme, but the updated one is far superior in comedy.
Chi: Oh, I like this actor!
Everyone else: *nervous sweating*
The Lighthouse
i like him to not because of the movies he famous for but because he hates them even more then i do
@@STOCKHOLM07 ye fond of me lobster? 🦞
@@tomatoglider Why'd ya spill yer beans?
Every time Chi says "shit" an angel gets their wings! 😂
🤣
Chi: "Does he have sick abs?"
Hella: "No, I don't think so. He's a kid, come on."
😂
Every time I watch this I cry when I see the pain of the father at the lose of his son.
One thing I really loved about the Harry Potter series is how the intensity, and the challenges they faced increased from year to year. They start at age 11 with simple tasks, and grow to become 17 year olds, having to overcome adult problems.
I don't care how many times I see this movie. The ritual to restore Voldemort, and seeing him rise out of the cauldron will always simultaneously send shivers racing up AND down my spine and make me nauseous.
Trivia:
They got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood-red eyes with a slit-like pupil. It is understandable why they didn't use creature contact lenses on Ralph Fiennes in the movie adaptations since it would eliminate the realness of Voldemort's threatening presence.
The arachnid the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was a tailless whip scorpion.
As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!"
Backstory:
Neville was traumatized by the Cruciatus Curse's usage because his parents were tortured into insanity with it.
As a Harry Potter fan this is the shit good post
never knew that about neville
A sad part of his life that very few would rightfully disclose
During the duel between between Voldemort and Harry their wands became connected due to both containing feathers from the phoenix Fawkes, triggering Priori Incantatem, otherwise known as the "reverse spell effect".
Voldemort's wand was ultimately overcome by Harry's, causing it to release "shadows" of people he had murdered with it including Cedric Diggory and both Lily and James Potter.
i'm pissing myself 🤣🤣🤣
ooh that's what she said lol, i was gonna ask
A scene which always makes me smile is when Harry approaches the egg on broomstick and you clearly see his reflection on the egg. It's a cool cinematic trick used elsewhere like Morpheus's glasses in The Matrix for example.
Cedric’s death hits really hard when you remember that he’s just a boy and his life was taken too soon
Me too
He deserve it for being too sexy
Bro was mogging everyone he died to make sure every other male at Hogwarts had a chance 🙏😩 only good thing Peter Pettigrew ever did
It does hit hard. But just imagine how much harder it would had hit, had he been a concurring character from previous films.
12:19 that might be the first time I ever heard someone compliment Rita Skeeter. lol
I’ve heard some people have at least compliment her for being funny
Brendan Gleeson who plays Professor Moody is a great actor. You should check out some of his other movies like The General, In Bruges and Calvary.
He was great in 'Gangs of New York' too, as well as '28 Days Later'! He was incredible in 'Banshees of Inisherin', but it's hard to watch that one for me because it's just so depressing.
IN the book, you find out that Rita Skeeter (the reporter lady) is an animagus. She can change into a bug. Which is how she gets a lot of her secrets for her stories for the Daily Prophet Newspaper. IN the next book, Hermione catches Rita Skeeter in her bug form and imprisons her in a glass jar for a long time to punish her. Hermione is a sweet girl, but don't piss her off....she never forget the lies Rita Skeeter posted about her and Harry before the Dragon test. You don't find this out in the movies...I think it broadens our knowledge of the character Hermione Granger. She is brilliant.
IN
More importantly she is unregistered animagus actually Hermione captures Rita Skeeter in this book.
Was the glass enchanted or something? Just wondering why she wouldn’t be able to just transform which would quickly break the glass in the process
@@VJP8464 it was unbreakable (enchanted by magic) so that would kill her
I'm still hoping for the day that people realize books and movies are different things...
Awesome reaction as always, ladies. Thank you.
22:22 An important thing to note though it's never mentioned in the movies is Fleur Delacour is not completely human. Fleur's grandmother is a Veela a humanoid bird monster considered near human in intelligence(which is likely due to prejudice most creatures called near human intelligence are actually equal to human intelligence such as Centaurs), Veela can take human appearance represented as extremely beautiful light skinned women with platinum blonde hair and they have a strong effect on anybody attracted to women.
You girls are so delicate, beautiful, and sweet.
Thank you for your lovely reactions🤗❤
I love these reactions - thanks and keep up the great work!
Makes my week complete, Thank you ladies 💜🙏
Another wonderful reaction from you ladies.💜
FYI: some sharks can live in Fresh Water, the Great White and Bull sharks can.
Yay! I was waiting for this! My favorite entry in the franchise even if it strays a bit from the book. It continued the darker tone that started with PoA, but brought back so much of the fantasy and wonder of the first two movies.
Sorry about all the snakes. 🐍😅
I only read the first 5 books, but this was my favorite book by far. They were all good, but this one was awesome. I do need to read the last 2 books though to be certain
30:09 so basically what harry seeing is a past memory from Dumbledore. It is reveals that Snape was a Deatheater (Voldemort follower) but he changed sides and started to help Dumbledore. Also Barty Crouch Sr. who works for the ministry found out his son was a Deatheater and guilty for torturing Neville’s parents. He was sent to Azkaban until he escaped.

Chi: Oh shit
Me: Yes

Chi vs Snakes is my favourite rivalry. Raiders of the Lost Ark was a legendary battle.
Hearing Chi say oh shit is my favorite part of these reactions 😂
To clear up the confusion with the pensive scene, yes Barty Crouch Jr was Voldemort’s servant. After Voldemort disappeared, Crouch, unlike all but a few other death eaters, tried to find him. Unfortunately this involved torturing Frank and Alice Longbottom for information. That’s why his father had him arrested. He escaped Azkaban undetected when his already dying mother took his place, but his father kept him hidden using the imperious curse. He then grew resistant to the curse, and escaped, which is how he found Voldemort
i look like harry potter in real life but i am fatter. that's why they call me HEAVY potter.
Fun facts/answers to some of your questions:
Harry is still living at the Dursleys and the book starts with the Weasleys picking him up to attend the World Cup.
If I remember correctly, in the book it is stated that Harry's name was put under a different school but it didn't say which one. Barty Crouch Jr. (fake Moody) likely used a Confundus Charm to make the Goblet believe that four schools competed. Why Dumbledore didn't say anything about it, I don't know or remember.
Fans of the books have long made fun of Dumbledore's "DID YA PUT YAH NAME IN DA GOLBET OF FIYAH?" because it is clearly stated "Dumbledoe asked CALMLY". Just one example of how film Dumbledore is different from book Dumbledore AND how Michael Gambon's Dumbledore is different from Richard Harris' Dumbledore. Both great, just different.
The thing with Ron is that he has always had this inferiority complex. He grew up in the shadow of his siblings (mainly his brothers) and, being Harry Potter's best friend, ends up in his shadow. In the first film, he sees himself in the Mirror of Erised as head boy and Quidditch captain covered in glory. He is envious of the chance to compete for riches and glory, and the idea that Harry may not have put his name in the Goblet of Fire doesn't even cross his mind because he is so blinded by envy. That's why he's such an ass to Harry in the first part of the film.
During the trial when Igor is exposing Barty’s son, he mentions that he was involved in the torture of the Longbottoms, who are Neville’s parents (which explains why he is so upset when "Moody" demonstrates the Cruciatus curse in class - because it was used on his parents). Also, during the trial, Dumbledore says that Snape WAS a Death Eater at one point but is not anymore (after he became a spy for him).
Victor Krum is under the Imperius Curse (one of the three unforgivable curses) in the maze. The victim basically has no control over their actions and is obedient to whomever casted the spell (in this case Barty Crouch Jr). They are placed in a trance-like state, hence why his eyes are like that.
Voldemort’s appearance is a physical manifestation of how evil his soul has become. Plus, as the heir of Slytherin, where the symbol is a snake, he has snakelike nasal slits. Ralph Fiennes (pronounced Rafe Fine+s) who plays Voldemort also played the main bad guy in Schindler's List.
Voldemort identifies four Death Eaters by name: MacNair, Crabbe, Goyle, and Lucius Malfoy, who is Draco's father, Crabbe and Goyle are the fathers of Draco's friends and the last one, MacNair, is identified in the book as the guy who is supposed to execute Buckbeak in Prisoner of Azkaban.
Remember in the first film when Ollivander says to Harry that the core of his wand was made from a feather of the same phoenix as Voldemort's (more specifically Dumbledore's phoenix aka Fawkes)? The Priori Incantatem, or Reverse Spell, effect occurs when such 'brother wands' connect in a duel. The winner's wand (Harry's) forces the loser's wand (Voldemort's) to produce "echoes" of their most recent spells performed in reverse order. So when Harry sees Cedric, the muggle from the beginning and his parents, that is the reverse order in which they were killed by Voldemort's wand.
As always there are some things in the book that are not in the film. Most of it is not THAT important but one thing I love that is missing is a subplot involving Hermione forming S.P.E.W. (Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare), a group/organisation to liberate Hogwarts' enslaved house-elves. Winky the house-elf who serves the Crouch family is an important character in the book, as is Dobby (he gives Harry the Gillyweed instead of Neville).
Cedric appears for a few seconds during Quidditch in Prisoner of Azkaban but it's a different actor (stuntman Joe Livermore). In the book he catches the golden snitch after Harry faints and offers to replay the match, but is declined by Oliver Wood.
At least one full-scale dragon was constructed on the set, which could even blow real fire. It was created partially from the basilisk puppet seen in CoS. Only Harry's battle against his dragon is shown in the film but the way the other contestants stole the golden eggs from their dragons is revealed in the book.
The underwater scenes were shot in a huge purpose-built tank (one of the largest underwater sets ever constructed) with a bluescreen background. Safety divers swam in-between takes with scuba regulators, to allow the actors to breathe without having to surface. Daniel Radcliffe was underwater for about 40 hours and at one point, he actually almost drowned. Also, as with the petrified figures in CoS, full-sized models were used for the those scenes which required the actors to keep completely still.
A bit of a problematic fact about the scene where Harry is in the bath and Moaning Myrtle is all over him, is at the time of shooting, Daniel Radcliffe was only 15 while Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle) was 40. While Dan was obviously not naked in the scene, switch the genders and it would be an outrage.
The reason Barty Crouch Sr. looks at fake Mad-Eye Moody like that is because he starts doing the weird thing with his tongue his son always does. Crouch Jr. did the same thing with his tongue when Harry saw the memory from the trial. The tongue tick was not in the book and was improvised by David Tennant. Brendan Gleeson (Moody) then added the quirk to a few of his scenes as a hint to his real identity.
Lastly, Cedric's dad's cries are absolutely heartbreaking. The actor, Jeff Rawle, gave one of the best performances in the entire series!
My favorite Movie Munchies Duo. I hope you two will watch the Lord of the Rings films, too!
Well the actor who plays Dumbledore now is also in lord of the rings
@@kIdeoCash_TMGwe hope you're joking ..
Michael Gambon is not Ian McKellan.

It's a whole new world to get into.
Yep this was my favorite one (not counting the end 2 movies )
Great reaction thanks!
No one:
Chi: Shiiiiiiit…
Hela: Reallllly!?
The "real" mythological mermaids were not like the Disney one, they were in fact, terrifying, closer to the HP ones.
Oh, an excellent movie and a great reaction from your girls
Harry Potter 3 was awesome 😎
OMG I love Harry Potter and the goblet of fire 😍
Love you guys 💖
Hello Movie Munchies !!! Hello everyone !!! 😃
Little did we know that Cedric would be Batman 🦇 years later
26:48 Congratulations Neville, you've been closer to killing Harry Potter than Voldemort and all his Death Eaters combined xD
-what is that?
-PLOT ARMOR OFC
You should watch _Labyrinth._ Tis a 1986 movie. Or _The Goonies_ 1985.
Have you noticed, basically all journalists these days are Rita Skeeter
36:09 this is the first appearance of Ralph Fiennes lord Voldemort in the goblet of 🔥.
Ah, Goblet of Fire, my favorite of the Harry Potter movies. My favorite book is Half-Blood Prince. My favorite character you meet in the next movie! Looking forward to seeing what you think of them!
Thanks so much.

"David Watts" is a song from the 1960s by a legendary English group called The Kinks. It sort of reminds me of Harry Potter. Watts is the most popular and "best boy" at his school and the singer is jealous of David's amazingly successful life. This is a lyric video that you can read along with to help you understand the song's message better. There is a reference to his gay life, but this was meant in the traditional definition of gay meaning happy/joyous and not anything to do with sexuality. You might enjoy this short pop classic. The main difference is that the song doesn't mention any tragedies similar to the death of Harry's parent. ruclips.net/video/NyeAIciTHpk/видео.htmlsi=l3D4TYcfok-QkFV_
It’s gets more darker darkness
That egg is a frequency like whale sound
This movie is when the story really begins.
😬 This movie is when British protectionism really kicked in and it showed in how drab movie looked in aesthetics, style, setting, costume, direction. Everything tints with the color of London fog, a HUGE let down from the book's vivid description. For instance, the Veelas were average looking and so did Cho Chang.
@@pohanahawaii Cho Chang. cute tho
@@DemonKnight94 : She's only ok. The best looking is still Hermione and that's not how it's supposed to be. Cedric was best looking, most popular boy in school and Cho for the girls. Chris Columbus would have done better. I really hated how drab everything looked after the Brits took over.
Please watch "lord of the rings"(extended edition)serirs after harry potter series...it will change your fantasy movie experience forever🤗🤗
Please react to the Princess Bride
Definitely please do.
I told you it was going to keep getting a little darker with each Harry Potter movie, turn your nerves to Steel and you will fear nothing.
Harry Potter and the Goblin of the Fire was the best
chi looks great with bangs
Krum was under the imperial curse but movie forgot - you not supposed to know he under the curse - they got confused because something harry did and moody said that's in the book
From this point the films only get better but darker. If you haven't read the books I recommend you read them. I think it will help clear up so confusing things about the series.
I disagree the earlier ones, specifically the first 2, followed the books far more closely usually only cutting out certain unnecessary scenes and had a Hogwarts that seemed well laid out. From three onward, though i like three very much, they cut many scenes that had lots of important contexts, rewrote lots of scenes and even added stuff and totally remade Hogwarts after they were established making me as a kid very confused as to where everything was because it seemed to move around the castle when it shouldn't be or look different because of the choices by different directors. The choice of having several different directors was probably the worst idea as having a clear vision all the way throughout the series would have been preferable for me.
Of course, Dan Radcliffe is a good dancer, and had to work at it to look awful. He had fun between takes.
He also had to work hard at being awkward and not good around people.
And then there are lovely behind the scenes shots of Emma Watson dancing with Tom Felton (Draco), who like practically all the cast are very nice people.
If you enjoy magic and wizards I recommend Miracle Max in The Princess Bride over any Harry Potter show. Look forward to that reaction with great anticipation and enthusiasm.
And just like that, Voldy ended his career without even knowing.
IMO, the series gets interesting with the Prisoner of Azkaban. This one is okay, not as good as Azkaban. The first two are really just children's stories. But, Order of the Phoenix is where the series really takes off. The last four of the series are outstanding.
The part that I's hard to understand first you need to know what's happening: The prisoner in the cage is trying to get out of Azkaban by telling on his friends. Now, Voldermolt has people who help him called "Death-eaters". The prisoner in the cage is telling them the names of all the "death-eaters" so they can find and arrest them. The first name he says is severous Snape the potions teacher. But dumbeldor says: "Snape used to be a death-eater and now is a spy for dumbeldor" so they will send the prisoner back to Azkaban. But the prisoner gets scared and says that Judge Crouch's son is a death-eater. And his son was sitting right next to them. So they stopped the son, put the son in Azkaban and let the prisoner leave Azkaban.
YAAAAAYYYYY!!!
The girl in the blue is so smart and cute. Perfect mix.

I can say this now that you've gotten this far. Out of the series, I think Goblet of Fire is the best book, but Prisoner of Azkaban is the best movie.
It’s gets darker now
24:28 Or better yet, Hermione, why don't * you* ask someone.
I think some of you might know where this is going.
The Warriors !!
If you haven't watched it already, I would love to watch with you. The War of the World's (Tom Cruise) love your videos, and Ikeep it up 😅
Rita Skeeter makes tabloid writers look like real journalists. Also, Mr. Filch is the worst artilleryman.

Be warned, this is where the series really starts ramping up. When it comes to action and darkness, things are about to get insane.

Its not a good reaction unless Chi says "congratulations" at least once
Without a doubt the worst movie in the series sadly. Its fine by itself, but adapted from the book its so lacking.
I am kind of disappointed that's so far the three movies haven't yet encouraged you to read the books.
They might want to later... Maybe they don't have time right now... Maybe they have read them already and this is an act... Or maybe you're not real, simply the dream of a tiny butterfly.....
What is this, the 90's
Thats a weird thing to say when they just started watching the movies a few weeks ago. And how do you know they haven't been encouraged?
@@toaster4693 had they been successfully encouraged they would know what more or less to expect from book 4 (depending on how much time they have for reading, if they don't - the bigger my disappointment).
@@firstenforemost Their are audiobooks and both Stephen Fry and Jim Dale did an amazing job by reading them for us. The same goes for Rufus Beck and Felix von Manntheufel and the german versions of the books.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Goo. Stupid movie
The most disappointing part of the series almost for me since they cut out the Quidditch World Cup. I was devastated as a kid when we went to the theater. I was so angry I wanted to leave because it was what i was excited for most. My parents made me sit back in my movie theater seat and finish the movie lol. Its seriously insane they cut it. Terrible decision by the director and hopefully his suicide in the industry.
