Wow, one of the best Tof guides. I just sub and like. This game is growing on me more and more. Before this i was playing Genshin for 2 years on PS then recently started playing Tof when it launched on PS platform. I was blown away by how much better this game is compared to Genshin IMO. In this game, you can skip cutscene/dialogue, very satisfying and deep combat mechanics, loadful of endgame contents, variety of mounts to pace around the map, challenging bosses, cool looking weapons, smart servant that is actually powerful and fight alongside (Paimon is a thrash and annoyed as hell in Genshin), you can equip 3 weapons even in group plays (Genshin 1 weapon in 4 coop!) and so much more that I cant put in words. The only issue with Tof is it caters for adult audience because of the paid bikini skins and the bounciness of the waifu assets 😂.
Catering to older crowd is a big step up from Genshin lel. Genshin used to do that more with its stories, especially NPCs, but after 1st Lantern Rite that most hated they stopped. Much of those little stories are nothing young teens can relate to. I think they overestimated how many older players would be on Genshin. Oh well. 😢

Thanks Maygi, this was sooo helpful. As a phys main I’m a bit disappointed she isn’t shaking up the Zeke/Gnonno/Fiona team which is getting a bit stale for me. Guess we have to wait for Yan Miao for that. Got Nan Yin a3 with 2pc matrices anyway, probably not the smartest thing to do as a phys main but been having a lot of fun with Nan Yin/Zeke/Fiona team and triple altered, both seem decently strong. Surprisingly, A6 Thunderbreaker can catch up with Fiona in volt comps. It's slightly weaker and you'll lose HP everytime but he has great off field Superconductor + Dubhe buff which is great instead of Rubilia if you dont have Fiona.
Yeah he's a great off field support(also enables Mimi's, passive triple volt and Fenrir A3) but the catch is you die faster than speed of light. Global aint fixing him bc they know they f'cked up big time. Hotta needs to learn from Hoyo on how HP gimmick mechanic works like the team behind Fontaine
@@kamveng453 He can survive fine because of Mimi's shield when His HP drop to 10% or lower. Maybe if they buff His HP regen passive from 5% to 8-10% would be really great. He also have a superconductor buff which give you total +60% Max HP at full stacks and volt dmg buff which is very great for "standard" banner simulacrum.
@@kamveng453 I've used him and I don't die, meme shields passive regen and max hp gives enough survability, also helps if you have cheat death on meme or another weapon, I don't see how people die nowadays using him

On my own account, altered is my strongest comp now. I don't know if there's a better rotation for me to use, but doing my old frost rotation with Nan Yin replacing Fiona is weaker than full altered. Stronger than frost with Fiona, but still weaker than altered. Volt is pretty much similar to frost. Curious to see your part 2. Maybe I'm making a mistake somewhere. If you haven't tried altered with spamming Nan Yin clone skill, you should try it. Needs A6 Lin to keep up Lin's field for the attack buff, so I'm not sure if will be that good for lower investment Lin, but you can try it out on the cactus anyway. You also need to switch up matrices and use a mix that maximizes attack buffs and crit damage.
Altered is definitely a strong contending comp that's pretty fun to play, and has pretty competitive damage - though, at the highest ends, it can't compete, but it has a high damage floor so anyone who wasn't already running all A6 characters can get a pretty big boost from it. I'll probably make a video for that comp specifically and all the minmaxing tech with it - there are definitely some funny things you can do like use Hilda's matrix for the attack buff if you don't have other ATK% matrices...

Definitely a very versatile character who can also work as a main DPS, and aside from that, her clone does what is essentially a flat amount of damage, and possessing it is very high damage for a newer player (the clone has its own stats)
I'm a frost main and I'm missing Fiona. I'm currently running triple frost with Yu Lan a3 Ling Han a0 and Alyss a0. I would've been running a0 Icarus instead of Alyss if I had him but I dont. I could also run a6 Saki or a6 Frigg if those are better but haven't tested for myself. Should I go for Fiona a0 or Nan Yin a0?

Good morning good people. I have a question for more experienced players. I am a returning player. I haven't played for over a year due to which I don't have any good characters. I want to make Nan Yin on A1 and Fiona on A3 now and wait for them to add some new OP DPS character in the future. is this a good strategy or would you yourselves improve Nan Yin/Fiona differently?
After days of testing using frost team in both bygone and cactus. A3 Fiona being stronger than Nan Yin is not true at all. In my cactus testing, A1 Nanyin is 24% stronger than my A3 Fiona using Nan Yin inhabit on my Ling Han (not including execute). In bygone, my A3 Fiona couldn't even past floor 29 BR, meanwhile A1 Nan Yin easily reached floor 35. Not even close, it's a big difference, not only in terms of dmg, but also comfort and consistency because Nan Yin provides thick shield and strong shatter and gather.
This is actually the expected result for a Ling Han team; note that the teamcomp shown in the comparison section was a Yulan MDPS team (I didn't want to include like 10 graphs so I only included one per element).
@@Maygiafter further testing and thinking, I think I know why. It's because the calculations that you did - the other two dps are fixed at A6. Max investment dps could capitalise more from the superior off field buffs Fiona provides. And Nan Yin personal dmg becomes less significant in comparison of the main dps doing much more at A6. Hence the the result of your calculation. Meanwhile, my Ling Han is only at A0. It's a very different scenario, hence the result difference. Basically, low star Nan Yin has greater impact with low invested dps, but her impact becomes less significant the more invested your main dps is, whereas Fiona she scales dps better the more invested they are due to her superior off field buffs.
I'm currently running A6 Fenrir, A6 Rubilia and A3 Mimi. I do have an A3 Fiona but I haven't used her since triple volt. Wonder how worth it is to pull Nan Yin really. I'm happy with my current comp and enjoy using Rubilia to get around too.
My little brother has almost the same team! A6 fenrir & A3 mimi. He switched his A3 Yulan for A2 Nan Yin & 2pc nan yin and said its been amazing, the three seem to have good shnergy. If thjs js better than A6 Rubilia, I'm not sure, because I'm not familiar with Rubilia
i found something interesting, the 60% hp shield based on max hp is both true or not, when you at max hp or almost max hp your shield appeared to be 30% but when your hp bellow 50% you can see that the shield actually gives 60% of your max hp which make your red hp bar become green again for temporary, talking about f2p comp (A0-A1) at least frost comp get a bit survivability perk again since icarus.
That's probably because, let's say you have 1M health, if you get a 60% shield (600K), you now have "1.6M total health" - it doesn't make your health bar longer, so thus the 600K shield is smushed into a smaller visual % of your health bar verses if you were at like 40% HP to begin with, in which case you'd see the full health bar fill up with shield
I have a1 for both of fiona and nanyin and now I am having 240 flame golds. which one should I upgrade to a3? I am not sure if the 50% atk void trace damage increasing on nanyin a3 could be compared with the low-health execution on a3 fiona..
Hello... i want to ask, where is nanyin elemental attack get from? The altered attack or that elemental. For example if i got 30k flame and 40k altered, when nanyin is flame does she get 30k or 40k?
Absolutely love it. Could you compare her to Lan (in a Liu and Feise comp?) 👀 because I have Lan a6, Nyan a5 and I am getting almost exactly same results loool
So Nan Yin is already good at A1, A2 is just little step higher. So it's long weak improvement until A6. That makes Nan Yin not very F2P friendly, she need a lot investment to make good use of damage. It seems better go first to A1/A2 (depends on your luck) and then invest in matrices many as possible, 4-set is a must and will gain her damage better than A2-A5, right? A5/A6 are still expensive for many players because again, RNG in Tower of Fantasy is very tricky. Sometimes i have a lot luck, but also there are times i have zero luck and at 120 points only 1 model (120 is first amount to be able to buy weapon). Planned go for A6 is still huge risk and can eat a lot your moneybag. Matrices are a bit faster to get it.
I have mimi a3 running 2pc 3 star samir/shiro, fiona a0 with 4pc 0 star, and lin a1 4pc 0 star mimi, is it worth it to replace lin with Nan as a light spender
Oddly enough, if bamboo is an active weapon and inherit my main dps weapon, I am doing less damage like 30m or so. Not sure if its bug or I am doing something wrong. If I don't inherit then I do more damage

It already ended on CN. Last Fiona meta team for cn was Mimi, Nan Yin, Fiona. After Brevey, she kicks Fiona out of the team, and thus no more Fiona. But Fiona still staple for benediction.
Wait. So Brevey is actually good for common volt (not support deck)? I thought she is for supports only. What benefits could meme take of her, except healing?
Replacing Gnunno, or replacing Fiona, should both lead to similar results (given similar investment)! It really depends on what matrices you already have (if you have Fiona 4pc and like Gnunno/Umi 4pc, probably stick with Fiona because her matrix is a good amount better than the latter options)
before skipping nan yin, consider that physical will gain 20 second rotation soon and thus fiona with her maelstorm will fade away. volt and frost will gain a healer that also won't play with fiona

If you're to pick any, Nan Yin is a good step above Fiona matrix and doesn't run into uptime issues like Fiona does on her 4pc in some comps!

I'm a frost main and I'm missing Fiona. I'm currently running triple frost with Yu Lan a3 Ling Han a0 and Alyss a0. I would've been running a0 Icarus instead of Alyss if I had him but I dont. I could also run a6 Saki or a6 Frigg if those are better but haven't tested for myself. Should I go for Fiona a0 or Nan Yin a0?

You need at least 120 rc for guaranteed. Otherwise you could lose the pity and get nothing
I wonder how worth her 2 piece matrix is worth getting. My main dps Mimi currently runs 4 piece 3 star Scylla. Wonder how it would work out.
Her 2 piece is fantastic, it will increase you're totally volt attack by the shown value % plus you don't have to put it on mimi just the quick swap weapons
Good morning good people. I have a question for more experienced players. I am a returning player. I haven't played for over a year due to which I don't have any good characters. I want to make Nan Yin on A1 and Fiona on A3 now and wait for them to add some new OP DPS character in the future. is this a good strategy or would you yourselves improve Nan Yin/Fiona differently?
Its still good using tripple flame, or replace liu with nan ying if they already full 4 set matrix?
When part 2
After days of testing using frost team in both bygone and cactus. A3 Fiona being stronger than Nan Yin is not true at all. In my cactus testing, A1 Nanyin is 24% stronger than my A3 Fiona using Nan Yin inhabit on my Ling Han (not including execute). In bygone, my A3 Fiona couldn't even past floor 29 BR, meanwhile A1 Nan Yin easily reached floor 35. Not even close, it's a big difference, not only in terms of dmg, but also comfort and consistency because Nan Yin provides thick shield and strong shatter and gather.
This is actually the expected result for a Ling Han team; note that the teamcomp shown in the comparison section was a Yulan MDPS team (I didn't want to include like 10 graphs so I only included one per element).
@@Maygiafter further testing and thinking, I think I know why. It's because the calculations that you did - the other two dps are fixed at A6. Max investment dps could capitalise more from the superior off field buffs Fiona provides. And Nan Yin personal dmg becomes less significant in comparison of the main dps doing much more at A6. Hence the the result of your calculation.
Meanwhile, my Ling Han is only at A0. It's a very different scenario, hence the result difference.
Basically, low star Nan Yin has greater impact with low invested dps, but her impact becomes less significant the more invested your main dps is, whereas Fiona she scales dps better the more invested they are due to her superior off field buffs.

I'm currently running A6 Fenrir, A6 Rubilia and A3 Mimi. I do have an A3 Fiona but I haven't used her since triple volt. Wonder how worth it is to pull Nan Yin really. I'm happy with my current comp and enjoy using Rubilia to get around too.

My little brother has almost the same team! A6 fenrir & A3 mimi. He switched his A3 Yulan for A2 Nan Yin & 2pc nan yin and said its been amazing, the three seem to have good shnergy. If thjs js better than A6 Rubilia, I'm not sure, because I'm not familiar with Rubilia
Not worth of you already have a solid volt team. Nan Yin is a sub dps but she's mostly used on field, you'd have to give up on Mimi.

i found something interesting, the 60% hp shield based on max hp is both true or not, when you at max hp or almost max hp your shield appeared to be 30% but when your hp bellow 50% you can see that the shield actually gives 60% of your max hp which make your red hp bar become green again for temporary, talking about f2p comp (A0-A1) at least frost comp get a bit survivability perk again since icarus.
That's probably because, let's say you have 1M health, if you get a 60% shield (600K), you now have "1.6M total health" - it doesn't make your health bar longer, so thus the 600K shield is smushed into a smaller visual % of your health bar verses if you were at like 40% HP to begin with, in which case you'd see the full health bar fill up with shield
how Nan Yin elemental atk (that follow from previous weapon element switch) behave on dual element weapon later-on like Brevey?

Absolutely love it. Could you compare her to Lan (in a Liu and Feise comp?) 👀 because I have Lan a6, Nyan a5 and I am getting almost exactly same results loool
So Nan Yin is already good at A1, A2 is just little step higher.
So it's long weak improvement until A6. That makes Nan Yin not very F2P friendly, she need a lot investment to make good use of damage.
It seems better go first to A1/A2 (depends on your luck) and then invest in matrices many as possible, 4-set is a must and will gain her damage better than A2-A5, right?
A5/A6 are still expensive for many players because again, RNG in Tower of Fantasy is very tricky. Sometimes i have a lot luck, but also there are times i have zero luck and at 120 points only 1 model (120 is first amount to be able to buy weapon).
Planned go for A6 is still huge risk and can eat a lot your moneybag. Matrices are a bit faster to get it.
I currently have A1 nanyin and A3 fiona. which provides the biggest value for my account? pushing for A3 nanyin or fushing for A5 fiona?

Zeke and Fiona can work just fine as well! I'd grab A1 Nan Yin if you can, then we'll wait and see how good Yan Miao is (really hyped for her!)

Oddly enough, if bamboo is an active weapon and inherit my main dps weapon, I am doing less damage like 30m or so. Not sure if its bug or I am doing something wrong. If I don't inherit then I do more damage

It already ended on CN. Last Fiona meta team for cn was Mimi, Nan Yin, Fiona. After Brevey, she kicks Fiona out of the team, and thus no more Fiona. But Fiona still staple for benediction.

Replacing Gnunno, or replacing Fiona, should both lead to similar results (given similar investment)! It really depends on what matrices you already have (if you have Fiona 4pc and like Gnunno/Umi 4pc, probably stick with Fiona because her matrix is a good amount better than the latter options)

anyone else tested triple altered using possessed clone spam skill? on my testing it deals way more damage vs normal attack 6:20
before skipping nan yin, consider that physical will gain 20 second rotation soon and thus fiona with her maelstorm will fade away. volt and frost will gain a healer that also won't play with fiona
