It's good to see these newer characters do so well at a0. I know a lot of people get discouraged when they see other people's damage, but whales are gonna whale. The main point is now low investment and f2p can reliably clear content.
it seems the 3.0 banner focus on A0 javing pretty decent damage, A1 for boost dmg while A3 is sustain and A5 is death cheat. A6 is also dmg boost but it seems the A0 vs A6 have small gap in terms of power

Nice, thanks for your guide and dps sheet :) Something to consider for Martial Yulan team (if you dont have Fiona and Lyra matrices) : 2p Samir + Lin on Yulan, & 4p Yulan on Fiona ,& 4p Icarus on Alyss.
I would agree Saki is a detriment to Martial form but she is functional in the sweeping force form esp if you dont have Icarus. The skill resets let you take greater advantage of fighting spirit and the instant free discharge from her 5* isnt bad either esp if you enter a fight without a discharge already so you can get the Fighting spirit stacks ticking. I fully believe the options you have presented are probably better than this but the investment is also high. Would be nice to have a section that assumes FTP play options so thoughts only paired with standard banner characters.

My team consists of Fiona A1 4pc Shiro, Yulan A1 2pc Yulan 2pc Shiro, Frigg A6 2pc Samir 2pc Crow. Should i swap 2pc Shiro from Yulan to 2pc Scylla? Im running Martial. Aww I'm glad you like the content !! I wouldn't swap 2pc Shiro to 2pc Scylla unless they're both equal stars. Also, since Yulan is the main DPS, you should put Samir + Shiro on her, and move Yulan 2pc to Frigg (as it works completely in the offhand). Upgrading your 4pc Shiro to 4pc Habo or 4pc Scylla would be a boost as well!
I love how I'm being punished for pulling Icarus and skipping Fiona when Icarus was necessary for frost to keep up after the Fenrir incident. So now I'm being degraded from being a DPS loss to being a healer with buffs but not for my team mates instead it's only for myself
I'm using A1 Icarus, A5 Alyss and A1 Yulan. Sweeping form. Yulan trait. 4 pcs A0 Yulan. 4pc Haboela. 2pc Frigg 2 pc Fiona. My max so far is 160mil in 1:30min. With DPS buffs we cleared VA6 as main DPS. Technically you just need A1 Alyss too.
@@kakujintofclips I know that it's still not weak but what bothers me so much is that frost is relying on solely Yulan with Alyss and Fiona buffing Yulan. Yulan didnt save frost in any way she is just the solo unit pulling frost up without increasing the value of anyone else. I also played triple frost before Saki, Alyss, Icarus all A6 (1:30 rotation no buffs I hit 150Mil in a perfect rotation) It just bothers me that now Icarus is basically worthless compared to other units when he is one of the newer frost units. We are Benching Icarus before benching Alyss which just sits wrong with me. I just don't like the way frost is being handled rn

Alyss is helping me get the charge I need to discharge Yulan at start and discharge with Icarus. And my Icarus and Yulan is A1 mind you. I can't use Fiona cause mine is A0 and no matrices. I'm using 2pc habo and 2 pc siro for icarus 4p yulan on yulan and 2p frigg and 2p fiona on alyss.
How good would be if I use 3* 2p saki matrices + 0* 2p yulan vs full 3* saki matrices? I'm asking cause Saki matrices is coming to standard banner and I could max it out, but if mixing with 2p from yulan's matrices is better, I'll probably pull for it.
If picking between 2p Yulan and 2 -> 4pc Saki, I'd be leaning towards the latter as it also would help the damage of your Frost teammates, and wouldn't cost you your DC/red pulls! As for personal damage, however, 2p Yulan 0* + 2p Saki 3* should outperform 4p Saki, though this value may fluctuate if powercreep keeps going, as a lot of 2p Yulan's value is in its passive damage effect, which is a flat value that is very subject to powercreep.
I think there's a lack of understanding how the triple frost comp works or maybe you just skipped it completely in your analysis because you found it irrelevant, but there's just no way it's that low compared to other teams, Yulan's Trait is very strong for triple frost sweeping and the Discharge damage on titan gear also helps closing the gap even though I agree that it's weaker. Alyss' skill with A1 makes it so that whenever you use a skill you do Alyss' discharge, this allows you to get the full energy of a Yulan's Discharge with a skill instead. Using this mechanic you can use Icarus skill's and swapping at the right time to Yulan you'll get the Discharge back from Alyss' assistant while doing nothing at all on Yulan, this allows you the following rotation: Alyss' Skill = > Icarus' Discharge Cancel + skills = > Swap to Yulan right after Icarus' 2nd Skill, giving you a full discharge again and instantly starting the 10sec cooldown on this mechanic, followed by Yulan's Skill = > Icarus' Discharge Cancel + skills with dive attack in between = > Yulan Discharge = > Icarus' Discharge Cancel + skills = > Recharge on Alyss for like 2sec + her skill and repeat the rotation That's 6 Icarus' sub skills per rotation and Alyss' Skill comes back pretty much perfectly when you want it back as well as Yulan's discharge buff in the sweeping form being at 100% uptime. The issue with this team and probably the main reason why it's not meta is the fact that Alyss only copies 3 skills out of all the ones you're using. Also the first rotation would be a bit different before doing the one I mentionned since you would want to discharge on Yulan to get her buff + her skill to unable it for the rest of the combat. The good thing about this team is that you can almost permanently slow your target making most bosses unable to even hit unless they are immune to such slows. I'm currently at floor 42 in boundless realm and I'm far from full R3 matrices and I don't even have Yulan's 4P I'm using Saki's 4P instead, so it's clearly not as irrelevant as mentionned. This triple frost team is also the most skilled frost comp that is playable so far in my opinion and it's also the most fun to play, I'm aware of Ling Han coming in a few months, who will bench Alyss' in the triple frost comp and make up for Alyss' weaknesses but I'm a bit sad about losing that one mechanic between Alyss' A1 and Yulan's ability to give a full weapon charge, it will surely be stronger as Ling Han's Trait sounds pretty insane with Icarus just like Yulan is in sweeping but the gameplay doesn't seem as fun rotation wise.

Yulan matrices are a mile better than other Frost options currently, and even if Yulan isn't used in the team, the matrices are better than other options, so definitely go for it! In the Martial team, the preferable trait would be Yulan's trait.
on the graph with the 4 comps going from a0 to a6 for comparisons on yulan, what advancement were the other weapons? asking as sweeping is rated so much higher there until a6 so am wondering if the other weapons are already at higher advancements
Scylla matrices - Because Lin matrices is final dmg bonus, and Scylla is elemental dmg (haboela is final dmg). You always want to have different kinds of dmg bonuses with your 3 matrices, so they stack multiplicatively. Basically, different kind of dmg bonus stack together is more dmg than stacking same type of dmg bonus.
I'm so confused about Fiona's Skills. Like why Wellspring and Maelstrom for Yu Lan? Wasn't it saying "for physical teams" for Maelstrom in the Fiona Video? Why not Torrential Force, for example?
Maelstrom gives ramping up damage over time; while it doesn't give as much for other teams as it does for Physical, it works well and gives a lot of value because you camp on Yulan for a long period of time. Torrential Force only increases skill and discharge damage - but while skill damage is nice, your discharges/skills make up less than 30-40% of your total damage, so increasing that by 20% is an 8% at most, and the charge from it is completely useless. Because Torrential is out of the picture, you have to pick between Maelstrom, Hydro Focus, and Wellspring - Wellspring offers a 9% buff without any conditions, Hydro Focus is 6% (12% with trait), and Maelstrom gives up to 26% ramping up over 10 seconds, so in a rotation where you can Yulan for 25 seconds, making the average value just over 20% - so then, why Wellspring over Hydro Focus? That's because Yulan's trait gives 25% final damage for Martial Form, which is 7% over Fiona, so it's better to run 6% Hydro Focus + Yulan Trait verses 12% Hydro Focus + Fiona Trait.
@@Maygi Ahh I see, my bad. One more question though, if you have 4-set Haboela, three of them on 1* already, you'll gonna use it on Yulan and the 4-set Yulan on Alyss. Does the 4-set Alyss become insignificant? It does always say on the Matrices, that the "same Matrix's effect cannot be stacked", does that mean final damage stats can't be stacked or simply meaning another 4-set Alyss?
@@MacCheekz1990 It just means you can't use two of the same matrix sets. Similar stats from different matrices (e.g. Habo and Alyss both give final damage) are fair game, though!
With this rotation, the skill cast frequency is such that you will hardly have 5 stacks of Yulan's Fighting Spirit on each cast, so speeding up the rotation any more would cause you to get more 4-stack casts, which is quite a damage loss from 5!

Leaning towards Frost, as Frigg is still very viable in the current Frost setup with Yulan! Can't say the same with Cobalt and King with Liu, though King may see some niche use alongside several shielded enemies...

Yulan can still work great with Frigg or Alyss. Sure, it' s "copium" compared to the meta comp (though, what does that mean exactly? It's still capable of a lot of damage, it's just not on the meta level of damage), but it can still be a huge upgrade from anything before!

So whats the f2p matrices for yulan, alyss and fiona? Do 2 pc samir 2 pc yelan work on yelan, while alyss is using 4 shiro and fiona is using 4 haboela?
I think something is way, way off in the theory crafting for this one. I have maxed out Fiona, Yu Lan, and Alyss, each with their own matrices maxed out, and I just saw someone using Fiona + Lin + Icarus do literally 3x my damage in a Challenge Raid. I don't know what matrices they were using, but their damage was wayyyyy higher than mine.
A1. But honestly, don't pull Alyss, she's still great, but Lin Han is coming, and after her might be the new alter. But of course, do what you believe is the right decision.
As a F2P, my 2* Yulan+1*Fiona+1*Alyss is doing 3/4 of the damage of Yulan Alter team (a6*Lyn). I'm folloing @Maygi's suggest except that I only have Fiona+habo+Scylla 0* matrics. Haven't got Yulan trait yet so I use Fiona trait. I was wondering what went wrong? According to Maygi's analysis, Martial art should doing more damage than alter team with F2P build.
Only true if you have A6 Yulan (which 90% of people won't), and even then Alyss is only ~5% stronger. Plus the icarus rotation is more practical and is more AoE focused than Alyss, so I don't see why to bench him.
I'm quite confused about yulan trait. On addition of having18% final dmg bonus for free, the last sentence states that we get 8% frost dmg bonus for 3 frost weapon eqquiped.. Does this 8% apply even when yulan is not on the triple frost team?

Wait I don't get it. You said Yulan martial is the DPS option cus sweeping is a support. But in the end at Team Comparisons the graph shows sweeping is above the martials in terms of %. Can you explain ? Are the yellow and purple colours supposed to be swapped ?
Hmm, I was expecting Triple Frost to be more higher than that, that sucks for my comp. I do have Fiona, but no matrixes and 0*, should I go for Triple Frost or a Scuffed Fiona Martial/Sweeping?
Looks she is not very friendly for F2P to get more damage out of it, als you see A6 is best. Until A5, there is not a lot improvement. So i guess keep low at A1 and focus on other characters or save for Volt and Flame, both plays better for me - not to mention i use Rubilia and Fenrir together a lot through some worlds thanks to speed traveling function. I did it faster on artificial island too!
Can anyone help me know if I should try for "A0 Yulan and A3 Icarus" or "A1 Yulan and A1 Icarus". I don't have Icarus right now, so don't know if I should try more for his advancements or Yulan's. Just like how in "Rubilia and Fenrir" case, it's better to for A0 Rubilia and A3 Fenrir, is it the same here as well???
No it's not the same at all, not even in the ball park. A1 yulan and icarus is better. Although pulling multiple copies on rerun character is questionable. If I were you, I'd stop with A0 Icarus, or forget him entirely.

I was asking for the best way to increase Yulan's shatter. If you're on a Bygone floor, with a bunch of enemies that frequently put up shields for example, should you put Scylla or Shiro matrices on or use her with Frigg, or something else? Also, I tried to join your Discord but it won't let me verify my phone number. It keeps saying that the password is wrong.
2Shiro will definitely help with the Shatter, though 2Scylla is kinda weak to slot on-field. They supposedly buffed her shatter in the final untested build, so hopefully it'll be a good bit better than it was on test!
sucks that fiona is basically forced into every team right now, but it won't take long for her to suffer the same fate as lin, and I don't like her design so meh

i was able to farm 70+ red nucleus in the week and i was able to get her today i think she is awsome amazing damage

Alyss' skill with A1 makes it so that whenever you use a skill you do Alyss' discharge, this allows you to get the full energy of a Yulan's Discharge with a skill instead.
Using this mechanic you can use Icarus skill's and swapping at the right time to Yulan you'll get the Discharge back from Alyss' assistant while doing nothing at all on Yulan, this allows you the following rotation:
Alyss' Skill = > Icarus' Discharge Cancel + skills = > Swap to Yulan right after Icarus' 2nd Skill, giving you a full discharge again and instantly starting the 10sec cooldown on this mechanic, followed by Yulan's Skill = > Icarus' Discharge Cancel + skills with dive attack in between = > Yulan Discharge = > Icarus' Discharge Cancel + skills = > Recharge on Alyss for like 2sec + her skill and repeat the rotation
That's 6 Icarus' sub skills per rotation and Alyss' Skill comes back pretty much perfectly when you want it back as well as Yulan's discharge buff in the sweeping form being at 100% uptime.
The issue with this team and probably the main reason why it's not meta is the fact that Alyss only copies 3 skills out of all the ones you're using. Also the first rotation would be a bit different before doing the one I mentionned since you would want to discharge on Yulan to get her buff + her skill to unable it for the rest of the combat.
The good thing about this team is that you can almost permanently slow your target making most bosses unable to even hit unless they are immune to such slows.
I'm currently at floor 42 in boundless realm and I'm far from full R3 matrices and I don't even have Yulan's 4P I'm using Saki's 4P instead, so it's clearly not as irrelevant as mentionned.
This triple frost team is also the most skilled frost comp that is playable so far in my opinion and it's also the most fun to play, I'm aware of Ling Han coming in a few months, who will bench Alyss' in the triple frost comp and make up for Alyss' weaknesses but I'm a bit sad about losing that one mechanic between Alyss' A1 and Yulan's ability to give a full weapon charge, it will surely be stronger as Ling Han's Trait sounds pretty insane with Icarus just like Yulan is in sweeping but the gameplay doesn't seem as fun rotation wise.

Yulan matrices are a mile better than other Frost options currently, and even if Yulan isn't used in the team, the matrices are better than other options, so definitely go for it!
In the Martial team, the preferable trait would be Yulan's trait.

max inv is all A6 w/matrix, dolphin is all A6 w/o matrix, F2p+ is all A3 w/o matrix and f2p is A1 w/o matrix

Scylla matrices - Because Lin matrices is final dmg bonus, and Scylla is elemental dmg (haboela is final dmg). You always want to have different kinds of dmg bonuses with your 3 matrices, so they stack multiplicatively. Basically, different kind of dmg bonus stack together is more dmg than stacking same type of dmg bonus.

I'm so confused about Fiona's Skills. Like why Wellspring and Maelstrom for Yu Lan? Wasn't it saying "for physical teams" for Maelstrom in the Fiona Video? Why not Torrential Force, for example?
Maelstrom gives ramping up damage over time; while it doesn't give as much for other teams as it does for Physical, it works well and gives a lot of value because you camp on Yulan for a long period of time.
Torrential Force only increases skill and discharge damage - but while skill damage is nice, your discharges/skills make up less than 30-40% of your total damage, so increasing that by 20% is an 8% at most, and the charge from it is completely useless. Because Torrential is out of the picture, you have to pick between Maelstrom, Hydro Focus, and Wellspring - Wellspring offers a 9% buff without any conditions, Hydro Focus is 6% (12% with trait), and Maelstrom gives up to 26% ramping up over 10 seconds, so in a rotation where you can Yulan for 25 seconds, making the average value just over 20% - so then, why Wellspring over Hydro Focus? That's because Yulan's trait gives 25% final damage for Martial Form, which is 7% over Fiona, so it's better to run 6% Hydro Focus + Yulan Trait verses 12% Hydro Focus + Fiona Trait.
@@Maygi Ahh I see, my bad. One more question though, if you have 4-set Haboela, three of them on 1* already, you'll gonna use it on Yulan and the 4-set Yulan on Alyss. Does the 4-set Alyss become insignificant? It does always say on the Matrices, that the "same Matrix's effect cannot be stacked", does that mean final damage stats can't be stacked or simply meaning another 4-set Alyss?
@@MacCheekz1990 It just means you can't use two of the same matrix sets. Similar stats from different matrices (e.g. Habo and Alyss both give final damage) are fair game, though!

Hi I would like to know if there's a reason of why Maygi didn't cancel icarus discharge when doing the rotation in Sweeping Force?
With this rotation, the skill cast frequency is such that you will hardly have 5 stacks of Yulan's Fighting Spirit on each cast, so speeding up the rotation any more would cause you to get more 4-stack casts, which is quite a damage loss from 5!

Leaning towards Frost, as Frigg is still very viable in the current Frost setup with Yulan! Can't say the same with Cobalt and King with Liu, though King may see some niche use alongside several shielded enemies...

if you like frost 100% saki sucks compared to her. Mono frost isnt the best with yu lan but she will do so much better than saki there.

Yulan can still work great with Frigg or Alyss. Sure, it' s "copium" compared to the meta comp (though, what does that mean exactly? It's still capable of a lot of damage, it's just not on the meta level of damage), but it can still be a huge upgrade from anything before!

Samir Lyra is better as you don't have consistent enough debuffs in the standard Frost comp to keep Cobalt's matrix up 100% of the time

I think something is way, way off in the theory crafting for this one. I have maxed out Fiona, Yu Lan, and Alyss, each with their own matrices maxed out, and I just saw someone using Fiona + Lin + Icarus do literally 3x my damage in a Challenge Raid. I don't know what matrices they were using, but their damage was wayyyyy higher than mine.

As a F2P, my 2* Yulan+1*Fiona+1*Alyss is doing 3/4 of the damage of Yulan Alter team (a6*Lyn). I'm folloing @Maygi's suggest except that I only have Fiona+habo+Scylla 0* matrics. Haven't got Yulan trait yet so I use Fiona trait. I was wondering what went wrong? According to Maygi's analysis, Martial art should doing more damage than alter team with F2P build.

Only true if you have A6 Yulan (which 90% of people won't), and even then Alyss is only ~5% stronger. Plus the icarus rotation is more practical and is more AoE focused than Alyss, so I don't see why to bench him.

I'm quite confused about yulan trait. On addition of having18% final dmg bonus for free, the last sentence states that we get 8% frost dmg bonus for 3 frost weapon eqquiped.. Does this 8% apply even when yulan is not on the triple frost team?

You gotta parse it yourself on kektus for 2:30min and compare. The meta has never been triple mono.

with fenrir and fiona its ok damage. Not the best but if you are f2p nothing is good anyway.
Looks she is not very friendly for F2P to get more damage out of it, als you see A6 is best. Until A5, there is not a lot improvement. So i guess keep low at A1 and focus on other characters or save for Volt and Flame, both plays better for me - not to mention i use Rubilia and Fenrir together a lot through some worlds thanks to speed traveling function. I did it faster on artificial island too!

No it's not the same at all, not even in the ball park. A1 yulan and icarus is better. Although pulling multiple copies on rerun character is questionable. If I were you, I'd stop with A0 Icarus, or forget him entirely.

I was asking for the best way to increase Yulan's shatter. If you're on a Bygone floor, with a bunch of enemies that frequently put up shields for example, should you put Scylla or Shiro matrices on or use her with Frigg, or something else?
Also, I tried to join your Discord but it won't let me verify my phone number. It keeps saying that the password is wrong.
2Shiro will definitely help with the Shatter, though 2Scylla is kinda weak to slot on-field. They supposedly buffed her shatter in the final untested build, so hopefully it'll be a good bit better than it was on test!
Just tried her on boundless realm, Her skill and Discharge does great shatter, just don't rely on her NA for shattering.

sucks that fiona is basically forced into every team right now, but it won't take long for her to suffer the same fate as lin, and I don't like her design so meh
