I had weak cell signal at my house 15 pro max on 17.6.1 with only 1 bar. After updating to 18 public beta 5 I now have 3 bars and phone is running really well. Nice improvement for me, thanks for the videos, I always watch them.

I updated my devices (phone, watch, laptop) to try out the new password app. I currently sub to 1password, it comes due in a couple of weeks but am not going to renew, the new apple password app is enough for my use.
So far, it’s only the 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max but that’s because that’s all iOS 18.1. Beta are available on. Apple does not say that call recording is limited to those devices but we don’t know until they release it for more devices.

5:04 - Idk, the Control Center has been the buggiest, most frustrating thing about the iOS 18 Beta for me. With each Beta version it feels like it doesn't improve, nor does it feel like anything at all improves if I'm being honest.

Hi Aaron, my iPhone went black the other day while I was just checking the time. It wasn’t dropped, didn’t get wet, overheated, or anything like that-it was just a regular night. The repair guy told me the screen was burnt out, and I believe him because the iPhone still made sounds and vibrated, but nothing showed up on the screen. I even tried restoring it, but nothing worked, so I ended up having the screen replaced. Do you think this could’ve been caused by the beta? iPhone 13 normal.

In beta 6, my iPhone 15PM had a problem of control center becoming completely blank after battery running out (auto shutdown). Hopefully they fix this problem in beta 7.

Since i updated to ios 18 i had this issue with cellular data ( i use 4g on my e sim ) stops working even when it's turned on on settings and the control center but it doesn't show in the notification bar , i tried to turn it on and off but it didn't help , the only solution is turning airplane mode on and off then it works until it disappears again . Do you think it's an ios bug or something that has to do with my phone or my carrier ?
I’m using the beta on an old iPhone 13 but I’d be hesitant to update my 15 pro max even when ios18 is released, I don’t like what they’ve done to pictures app, they’ve changed nothing in messaging or the phone app, it’s still the same, I like the new calendar and the new pull down screen but it’s not a major upgrade given the monster Apple is, they haven’t done enough in my opinion, any new software will be buggy for a while anyway even when it’s released so I think I’ll be holding off and staying on iOS 17 for a while
Put a clock widget single medium size with UTC. Pressed and held and changed it to single small and then changed it back. Now there is Cupertino instead as time zone.
Watch 11OS still has this bug on the Ultra 2 where the speech to text won’t pick up what I’m saying into the watch. I have to keep hitting the little microphone button over and over again until it picks up what I’m saying.

CarPlay is killing me. Low quality audio when listening to music. So sporadic. Basically the head unit thinks the iPhone is playing voice audio and not media audio. It’s been very difficult to use.

With public beta 5 I noticed elimination of various app crash problems that cropped up in public beta 4, plus improved battery life on my iPhone 14 Plus
last night before updating, my "personal hotspot" was working perfectly fine. after updating, i noticed that the hotspot button in the control center was greyed out. i went into settings -> cellular and it said "Set up personal hotspot". i tapped on it and an error msg said "Contact your carrier to set up personal hotspot". is this an ios related issue? can someone guide me. You can’t just go to dark mode you have to actually switch the icons to dark mode or automatic

It’s working for me. Go in and customize them again and it should work.

It’s the same as how to downgrade to iOS 17. You just need the IPSW file.

you’re on a newer version
iOS 18.1 Beta 2 is basically iOS 18 Beta 6 with Apple intelligence added. You are on a newer version so you won’t see the iOS 18 beta.

How is the battery life, performance, and temperature on the iPhone SE?
Well it has 75% battery health and can last for maybe 3-4 hours and heats at Geekbench and antutu benchmark and barely at Duolingo

I wouldn’t say it’s recommended but if you’re worried about bugs or battery I wouldn’t update. If you don’t care about those things, then sure.
