Could you guys do the eminence in shadow. Nobody has done the dub version on RUclips and it’s one of the best animes ever.
Vinland saga,Hunter X hunter or mob psycho 100 is good
FUnny thing is, is that inteligence doesn't increase his actual IQ/ being smarter. It only increases his max mana, and mana usage
It's a magical stat. Strength is physical, so it physically makes him stronger.
Intelligence and Perception don't make him smarter or make his eyes better, they make magic not work as well on him. So when he saw through the assassin's stealth skill, it wasn't because his eyes became so good he noticed like shifts in the air or light or something like that. The Skill just didn't work as well, so Jinwoo could notice him, because his numbers were high enough. Intelligence is the same, it doesn't make him smarter, it makes him better at magic, and probably ups his magic resistance too, so spells deal less damage to him. I assume that part at least, there's actually nothing detailing exactly how stats work, but that's 99% what the stat does.
@@haku8135
Perception does make Jinwoo more perceptive. He feels the presence of the Kasaka in episode 4, and he sees the mana aura of the Golem. It also allows him to determine the strength of other hunters when he looks at them. He did this when he met Woo Jinchul for second time. He hears the bugs in in episode 5. Jinwoo was able to perceive Kang Taeshik's bloodlust which allowed him to block his strikes.
@@sacredbeastzenon As I said, it boosts magical senses, seeing mana and sensing bloodlust and such. Slightly improved physical senses might just be from his general increase in power. His strength and speed for example have increased DRAMATICALLY, but aside from magical perception, we haven't really seen his mundane senses being put on crack. Which if boosting his Perception equally effected his mundane senses, he should.... Well by now he should probably be needing to adapt to sensory overload, but assuming the system adjusts his brain's ability to process information, he should be able to see for miles, hear a pin drop from the next block over, track scents like a bloodhound and detect people with fucking air currents.
Leveling up obviously improves his brain's processing speed and marginally buffs his body in general, but if it was as simple as increase Perception, increase Hearing ability, then he'd be like Superman in that respect by now. We don't really see that though, the only thing he's done is hear some bugs a little earlier than people that are supposed to be near his power level.
Like Perception COULD boost his senses, but the payout is clearly WAY less than what boosting Strength gives him. His magical senses are obviously benefiting substantially more either way.
possibly also increases magic resistance
@@haku8135 Except almost every chapter in the LN, the author mentions that his senses have become superhuman in level. So, you're wrong.
Igris almost feels like a force of nature that is sent to keep you in check just when you start to feel good about yourself.
😂yeah so true
He's THAT boss fight
He's the boss fight that the Gane devs giggle about when people ask about them
He's that boss that checks your understanding of the game's mechanics with absurd dominance
“you better stop spam rolling lil bro.”
- nameless king
When you see your opponent take OFF their weapons without saying anything while still prepared to fight you would honestly scare me more
So awesome
“Actually can we talk about th…..” 🤜🤪
Jinwoo baiting Igris into a hand-to-hand and the knight nonverbally ACCEPTING is such a dope moment. 😵😵
Edit: Also, the fact that Aleks added the "Let's throw hands" is even better.
i disagree on the aleks bit, but when your overall preformance basicly puts most pro actors to shame lol you can have a few low points here and there, mans did crazy work in this show
My boy jinwoo cold with it here but l agree with you here have nice day
@@venomouswyverns8819 For localization, I love it. That's the correct energy to have for the scene for me. And as a VA, I love nothing more when I'm trusted to give my own spin on the dialogue
jinwoo never won this fight
@@aceofspade2120 Ah you're one of those who supports localisers pushing creative liberties. I'd rather not have my rice balls become jelly donuts, or modern day western social issues crammed into an anime.
Slippery slope is a thing, you give localisers an inch and they'll take a mile
Jin Woo saying "Let's throw hands" is so Gen Z coded I love it so much lmao
Something the anime never mentioned is why Jinwoo was able to stop Igris's greatsword with his hands. The reason is the passive effect of his gauntlets: Additional effect: Protects the hands from injury.
Yeah and is an shame that they made him “forget his daily quest” while it was actually planned.
Just like he knew his dagger would go back to his inventory because he actually tried that
@@bartvandemortelhow is that a shame?
@@TroyIndureTillTheEnd for me personally it’s a shame. Because now it seems like he was lucky, while in fact it was a failsafe he planned.
Now he looks dumber then he actually is.
@@bartvandemortelI'm pretty sure he really forgot about the daily quest even in the comic version.
I remember reading it, and he was taken by surprise when the time was ending, and then he thought quickly to use it to his advantage.
Later on he will use that as an possible strategy for harder battles.
@@bartvandemortel
I think the lack of planning kinda works because humans don't really know how to predict the future.. and that's what the author was going for
Igris got hit once and suddenly pulled out the 10 hit combo 😂
Igris was going easy on him up to that point.. then that hurt Igris's pride and couldn't let that stand
18:45 My only gripe with this scene is how they censored this part in the anime. In the manga, when he fell into the throne, his clothes were shredded off and he was coughing up blood. Aside from that, this is perfect.
"I'm Kenny and this is my beautiful wife Montana"
I just wanted to say that I find this intro so cute
I just love how Jinwoo is doing all of this in a Hoodie and Sweatpants. It just feels so real. Like no fancy armor like Jinho. Not that I’d mind seeing him in something a little more fantasy. But, it’s just fun seeing a badass character fight to the death in every day clothes.
Just a small note for those who haven't read the manhwa (NO SPOILER) when he first equips the armor one of the gloves has a trait/ability that nothing can penetrate it which is why he was able to stop Igris's Sword When he was on the throne.
Actually intelligence doesn't necessary mean smart or stupid it's related to mana power atleast in jin woo situation.
From what I got from the manhua and discussion on chats it increase mana and thought speed and also probably memory capacity but doesn't make you actually smarter like intelligence ≠ wisdom
Kinda strange tho since strenght increases his height gives him muscles a jaw line and a deeper voice
@@OffisianO 🤣🤣 yeah but I guess those are more plot required like make him more suited for fighting 🤨🤣 I mean one of the only reason we have this discussion is because of the haters and hard core fan's who felt directly insulted when Montana called him stupid
Like his not stupid you are 😂
Even though it's not entirely wrong like I don't think his dum but if you sit and think about it there is quite a number of times when he didn't took the smartest decision like the daily quest but in the end it didn't matter because he got lucky and even though it wasn't the smartest choice it end up being the better one
As for intelligence I think is not really meant to make him smarter as it is more meant to make him more adapt to magic because if it were to make him smarter than towards the end of the manhua Einstein could have taken lessons from him which probably would have made things pretty complicated 😅
We can assume it does make him smarter cuz strength actually makes him stronger not just in dungeons but outside too. Unless we assume that, it's a plothole. But obviously he's not a dumbass, he was already smarter than all of the others in the double dungeon
@@MARI_05269 i mean the writing makes him look stupid for artificial tension like how he constantly drops the teleport stones as an example but its a power fantasy with 1 main character u know nothing is ever going to happen to him this show does nothing for me
10:00, remember, he's wearing the collar he got from Cerbures.
Intelligence doesn't help his brain it just makes it so he can use his skills and magic more
Chivalry is not dead nice one 😂
Alex Le put his soul into this episode with Sung Jinwoo
Enraged Igris beating up Jinwoo's butt in a combo style was super satisfying, wasn't it? 🤣
Intelligence stat isnt for how smart you are, it increases maximum mana
INTELLIGENCE doesnt mean smartness or anything like that it means more mana so he can use more abilities thats it
14:22 that is the most wife sigh I've heard in awhile lmao
Igris literally told Jin woo to take a seat when he threw him into the throne.
Yet foreshadowing that this guy his king he was waiting for 🔥🗣️
They did suchhh a good job with this fighttt, I can't wait for season 2!!
The head tilt told us all, he basically went "word, we throwing hands"
only who reads the manhwa know what means that empty throne
i dont and im so curiousss, dont spoil!

@@jdogx211 *Reconnaissance
Igris treated him like a dirty napkin holy moly.
The gauntlet had a bonus effect that prevents hand injuries. The anime didnt show it, nor why Igris let Jin-woo put that dagger into his face. Near perfect episode.
Igris The Bloodred, such a badass intro, and they did our boy right.
"BLOOD RED KNIGTH COMANDER IGRIS"!
Great reaction can't wait for ARISE!!!.
Just a bit of explanation, normally in this type of games where you level up attributes, it's better to focus on 2 main stats, in this case STR and AGL with a sub of Perception. because Jin-woo is an assassin build, most of his skills use Stamina instead of Mana. So actually leveling up Intellect when he had no Magic to use would have made him much weaker. Where this scenario differs from a game, is that Jin-woo can infinitely level up and gain skills outside of his build/job, thus allowing him to also build INT. So him not building INT till now was the best case scenario unless he was a mage before instead of an assassin/warrior type,.
Normally All-rounder builds are stronger early, but significantly weaker later.
i know it's so unrelated but i just wanted to say, hope you guys ( and everyone else near that area that are seeing this ) stay safe in the coming hurricane 🤍🙏

When he summoned his sword back its almost like he was saying "Well...now the child has been disciplined, lets continue where we left off"
To say his intellectual stats are not on par with his other stats, you got to admit his battle IQ and adaptability is beyond crazy
I think Igress might be worse WITHOUT his sword. Sure he doesn't hit AS HARD, but he can hit you ALOT MORE!
Wasn't intellect based on his mana, so jinwoo focused his stats more on strength just so he could do more damage to his opponents
It effects his mana pool and I'd assume magic resistance since that's what normally happens in rpgs. It doesn't effect his real world intelligence
18:19 this was when Igris lost his cool xddd
5:10, this is why I prefer things like clubs or maces. Edge weapons require more PERCUSION, SKILL and MAINTENANCE.
With a big stick, you just need to hit them HARD enough!
Igris is just HIM. I love him sooooo much
I’ve worked on everything but being smart why I am stupid 🤣🤣🤣 This might be one of my fav anime episodes of all time. The main character getting totally wrecked
Jin woo is lightspeed already damn
POV SUNGJINWOO DURING THIS EP: My main goal is to blow up and act like I don't know no body his fake gf:i wonder what sung jinwoo is doing probably sleeping
Montana calling Jinwoo stupid when she makes several stupid statements herself this episode is a good dose of irony.
Igris is a true warrior
The red knigth is here!
I have to agree with Montana. Intelligence is important.
In games intellect doesn't literally means intelligence, Here it means more intellect more mana
She ain't ready lol😂😂
every single video kenny fixes montanas microphone and it kills me with how cute it is
The amount of kinda right assumptions of Montana is actually really funny to me sometimes
Edit: I absolutely LOVE Igris omg this is so cool watching my boy animated like this
Jin Woo's VA actually lost his voice for a few days after doing these scenes.
his intellect is about his own magic, it has NOTHING to do with how smart he is or his brain guys XD
I would trust Gohan to catch a potara before trusting Jin Woo to hold on to a stone.
underlooked fact but in the next episode after Jinwoo defeats the centipedes, he bandages up his hand.. but in reality he was strapping that dagger to his hand so he couldn't drop it for that fact... they make it clear in the manwha but it's kind of overlooked in the anime
Just an FYI, since she keeps mentioning it; in video games, Intelligence doesn’t make you smarter, since the character is controlled by a player.
It’s known to basically just be a stand in for how much magic a person can use. So it would affect his mana. Up until now, he doesn’t have heavy mana usage, so it hasn’t been as important.
I know it isn’t a real video game, but they imply those are the rules the show operates by.
The people on the heli are reconning the island
"We think he looks cooler without armor so we'll just make it the only invisible armor in the series" haha
yeah, a lot of games have that mechanic though . to make your armor invisible for cosmetic reasons.
One thing Montana needs to know about how the stats work is it doesn't equate to real world abilities. Her calling him stupid because he never leveled up intelligence is just pure ignorance talking (not saying shes dumb but its a lack of knowledge here which is what ignorance is). The intelligence stat in an rpg which thats how the stats work in this setting only effects his mana amount and majic skill. It has nothing to do with his real world intelligence. So her calling him stupid every time should be corrected. He leveled up strength yet hes not picking up buildings. So why would the intelligence effect his actual intelligence? It doesn't
24:44 every time he loses the teleportation stone
jesus finally! How long do we need to wait xD
In the manwha it points out that he added points to his intelligence which saved his life in being able to tell those bugs were coming in episode 5. So he has chosen to add points to it before
Wasn't that thanks to perception rather than intelligence? Because in the first Instance dungeon, he mentioned he could sense the danger coming from the boss room thanks to his higher perception.
mf lands one hit and my man igris immediately unleashed the electric wind god fist 😂
Igris was a SoulsBourne type of F**K around and find out kinda boss complete with a hidden phase 2 depending on equipment choice.
Yep! He'll notice that he'll needs brains to survive then he'll admit his mistake.. don't worry he'll become the smartest creature alive.
I think you guys would enjoy Blue Exorcist a lot, you should check it out at some point.
There was actually a WORSE disaster then Jiju Island. We will see that MUCH later. But if you think these ants are bad news, wait till things REALLY start picking up.
Really? Which one? The final one or the kamish one?
@@HReiss0 I think it was about the past incident that also had many casualties of humans, not the future threats.
@@VictoriaWalker8oh ok, makes more sense actually.
montana is the stupid one here in most rpgs leveling stats evenly is the worst build u can make mastering a stat is the best choice especially with teams intelligence would be the meta tho since it help the most in the real world + with magic in combat , strength builds are the vanilla / safe choice & thats smart since u should avoid risk because its realty not a game , if u read mangas & manhwas the busted builds tend to be with the luck stat if that can be chosen they have he fastest growth
That is Base Igris!
Crazy thing is the backstory to this whole Igris encounter
If yall want to see true essence of speed you should watch the last fight in eminence in shadow between the main character vs two other characters. Man vanished literally from sight.
So agree not putting stats into intellect. But intellect isn’t smarts. Intellect is magic based stats. And he’s a master of few stats is his build.
Igris is so much powerful 😮
Wow dub actually surprised me
Dub is always better
@@mrperfect6371depends on the anime.. dub is getting a lot better.. this is one of the better series in dub
It is actually dog training. She has a nice intuition
It would be funny to watch Montana spec into an intelligence build in Dark Souls or Elden Ring, and watch her get absolutely de-fuckin-stroyed by the dum-dum Gronk strength-builds lol
He is already highly intelligent. It does need buffing.
when it comes to the intelligence stat , every stat when leveled up affects the physical body in some way , str increases your muscle mass , perception hightens your senses and so on . but investing points intelligence might affect the brain in some ways ,that includes your memories and personality . in a game it helps you cast better spells but it is not a game it is his real body .
would you try to increase your intelligence knowing it might affect your memories and personality .
if he invested a single point in it . he would know what would happen the next time. its not change that gives rise to fears .its not knowing what those changes might be. the fear of unknown is one of the biggest fear out there.
I worry for your mental well being with Edgerunners, the show is amazing in everything
Fun fact : Igris is just toying with him in this fight
testing him is a better choice of words but the specifics get spoilery
i will say his intelligence was already his strong suit since he didnt have any powers!
She needs to wait for for season 2 glow up of Jinwoo, then there will be a simp counter :D
I know this video is a little dated but I’m watching you guys for the first time!
Quick thought:
Intelligence/Intellect in most videos games doesn’t represent how smart the player is but rather how much mana they have and what types of spells can be cast!
The higher your intelligence, the more mana, and better spells you can use!

Its crazy how powerful Igris is and he still holding back. SJW won't stand a chance if Igris was serious.
Igris isn't cocky, in the book they show that this in the shadow monarchs world, and igris when getting a body laughs and says i look like how i was when i was human, then goes so far as to sit on the throne and thought is this abit ridiculous, why would my king go so far to choose this boy as his replacement, he walks to the pillar and leans up against it scratching his chin then enters sung, as there fighting he respects how fast he is and how strong he is but he isn't talented enough yet, then in a move that shock me igris words not mine he put away his weapon, i a honorable knight accept that challenge
Igris is him 🗿
Look I’m not gonna spoil anything but just know Igris didn’t drop his sword out of chivalry😂
I haven’t read solo in forever since it finished, why did he again?
the end of Solo leveling . please next "heavenly delusion " only have 13 episodes and i know your wife will gonna like that anime because heavenly delusion is like attack on titan feels have a suspense and full of plot twist and mystery .
you guys should do an rpg like elder scrolls online or something like that that would be interesting id like to see both builds
Intelligence refers to magic/mana
I'm just a little bummed about the fact they censored a lot of Jinwoo's injuries during Igris' fight.
Igris almost killed him there, he was supposed to be as badly injured as he was against Cerberus, the gatekeeper.
Without the blood, makes it looks like way easier and less dangerous as it really was. Makes it seems he wasn't as beated and under level to fight Igris.
Yeah the armor help him a lot, especially when he stopped Igris' sword with his hand, but the armor alone isn't enough to protect against Igris' brutal force.
All I read was wahhhh wHhhhh wHhhhh
cool beans!
That isn't a 4th Wall Break.
Yall should realize Jinwoo is NOT a gamer. These things dont exactly come naturally to him
